Ordered the 9 piece of chicken. Slaw was good and wedges were good. Problem is the chicken. It has a weird smell to it, not sure if it's spoiled meat or not but I told the family not to eat anymore just in case. Hopefully don't get sick.
Have had Mary browns in quit some time and now I remember why.. chicken tasted a off. Like it was sour.. So quit eating it.. see if I end up on the pooper all night. Next time I'll just go to the Kal bar and get a pizza.
So my fiancé went into MBC Vernon location tonight grabbed 6pieces of chicken to go. When he opened it up to eat it .. thankfully he noticed, the chicken was raw still! And that wasn’t even the worst part…. I call MBC Vernon and told them what happened and the response I got was we will give you “constellation more pieces of chicken !!!!!! I told he I want a full refund and cooked chicken! As I told her if we didn’t look at it before we ate it we both would have ended up salmonella poisoning , when I said this there was complete silence on the other end of the line!! I said you do know what Samonella is since you do work at a chicken joint??? To which she responded “no I don’t know what you’re saying.. sorry mama we make lots of chicken and sometimes this happens!! I just about lost my shit!!! I said “ NO! NEVER OS THIS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN LIKE EVER!!!! I am just blown away by lack of knowledge the employees have about the raw foods they handle on a regular day to day basis!!? This is unacceptable and will not just be the last time I ever eat at Mary Browns Chicken ! My next step is to call the company cuz this just ain’t right ‘n yuk!!!!! Ùi
I just returned home from Mary Brown’s. I took my six-year-old for lunch. I got a grilled chicken sandwich. I got home and bit into it only to find that the chicken was completely raw. This is absolutely disgusting and a health violation and I will never be going back.
I had my hopes up for a decent chicken sandwich when paying $10 for it but wow. I got two big Mary's, both with about a dime size of mayo, more lettuce than chicken, the buns weren't terrible, but the chicken was 1/4 inch thick nearly, and crescent shaped? So maybe half the sandwich even had chicken on it? And $10 for the thing, yikes
WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!! Today I went there first time I order spicy big Mary sandwich THIS IS I GOT! Buns are not toasted looks like microwave it and give to me. Can’t taste mayo only little good thing is chicken. I was in rush so I can’t go back and complain. I threw half of it because feels so dry.
Today was my first experience with Mary Brown's. Overall it met my expectations for a KFC-esque fast food place. The Filipina working behind the counter was super friendly. She said "excuse me sir" the same way "asawa ko sa Makati" does so that made me chuckle due to the audio similarity. I said "salamat po" on the way out. I am a vegetarian so I got the taters and the deep fried pickles. Obviously, if you're at a place that specializes in fried chicken then expect some meat products to get into the taters. I found one small piece of chicken in my taters but I have had much worse experience with similar deep fried chicken fast food places. This is better than normal. Besides, what vegetarians go get food from a deep fried chicken venue? Overall, everything tasted fine. I only found two deep fried pickles were more pickle than deep fried. The taters were mostly crunchy except for a select few. All of the tables and counters are clean. Ketchup packets are self serve which is great for people who are antisocial and don't want the hassle of asking at the counter as if they are guilty for consuming an excessive amount of ketchup. Solid 4 stars. I'd come back again if I had a deep fried pickles and tater craving the next time I am in Wal Mart.
The food was really good and the potatoes wedges have a seasoned batter on them that is very yummy. The chicken is flavourful, savory, moist and juicy. I am getting hungry typing this so I think I will go to Mary Brown Chicken for lunch today. You should go as well, I will see you there.
This place has the ambience of a broom closet and seems to be a spot to question your life choices.
The food is fire the price is really high 4 piece chicken 20+ $ think the thing that got me was 3$ for a can soda its a wonder why it was dead in the fast food joint oh well guess fast food is a dying thing anyways wont go there again a bit of price gouging cant say Ill support that
Its not the greatest location but I have yet to be disappointed by Mary Browns. I dont expect art, just a chicken sandwich, and they have the best chicken and taters out of all the big 3 chains.

I love the chicken but I loved it more when they had the honey bbq it was absolutely delicious
Go in to a inconvenient location to start with, at 6:35 pm on Monday and they have NO chicken cooked, and was told it will be 20-25 min this a fast food place, why dont you have chicken ready ESPECIALLY at supper time and you are open for another 3 hours! Poor management trying to save a buck, I will never return over priced and bad location anyway.
Cant help but notice words like fresh and quality ingredients splattered all over the restaurants marketing material including posters, sandwich bags, etc and yet when I opened my Big Mary sandwich today when I got home, the lettuce was beyond expired. Quality would suggest not having to disect my fresh Big Mary sandwich before I was to consume just to prevent getting sick from rotten lettuce. Im hoping that by providing a quality review that if this is the standard for quality ingredients with fresh produce, there should be a slight review by the wonderful staff at this particular location as to what fresh and quality means. Crisp and green is what comes to my mind... This was my first experience with Mary Browns and I was less than impressed. $20 for a small sandwich with brown lettuce is concerning to say the least and it makes one wonder what else may be beyond the best before dates.
Cold chicken, hair in the coleslaw while dining in. Salad replaced, but the hold time on the chicken seemed stretched. Fries and gravy fresh and hot.

Arrive at 8:50....they close at 10.....no chicken...not even busy night or the weekend....ok ?
Waited almost 30 mins for food and it was cold when we got it..There was no gravy made either .. Another family had eaten seperate to because only got half there order well waiting for other half ..They need more people working here instead of one guy trying to do it all himself..Will not be returning!

The app works well and has lots of good deals. My food is always ready for me to pick up. The staff are friendly and efficient and remember me without me even having to give my name. Great job Mary Browns Vernon - big improvement in service over the last year or two.

Cant believe how stingy Mary Browns has become. I got a chicken burger that had next to no meat in the extremely overcooked breading. Used to love Mary Browns but they have gotten way too cheap!!!
I just ordered the chicken Poppins combo usually its pretty good but this time my fries had a slightly moldy taste to them I couldnt see any mold but I could taste it I was also to shy to go in and complain

Ordered from skip and everything was AWESOME. Had the good ol cold chicken left over for a snack today while working out in the yard and it was almost even better the next day. Gravy was rad, fries were hot and crispy, chicken definitely did not disappoint. Plus, we all had normal poops about it. No fighting over the bathroom like weve had to do with the other chicken joints in town.

My chicken Burger was relatively dry and some fries were small and burnt. Before new management about a year ago, the food and service were much better. Your kids may not notice the difference, and it will do in a pinch, but I personally, will not return. Vegetarian options: None Parking: What can I say? The restaurant is located inside the Walmart. So Walmart always has a large free parking lot.
Every time I order Mary Browns through skip the dishes they dont confirm the order. After a long wait skip has to refund the order. Long term customer until recently.
Chicken and taters were great. Service was the pits. Dont expect any customer service or speed... but worth it for the chicken if youre not in a hurry....

Pre ordered for a 2:00 pick up and when I got there they couldnt find the order and was very rude and couldnt provide a copy . Then reheated everything I ordered. Very disappointed!! It was 30 pieces of chicken.
I ordered online 5 chicken tenders combo plus a wrap as a snack, they didnt put the wrap so if a simple order of 2 items they forgot 1 I dont want to know for a family order. The food tasteless perfect to dont order anymore!

Fresh chicken. Fairly fast service. Just wish the side salad was a little bit fresher, but not a deal breaker.
Had never tried this chicken before so thought we would give it a try. Was extremely disappointed in the chicken. The batter on it was basically tasteless and needed some spices. We also felt that it was way more expensive than what it was worth. The wedge fries weren t too bad. We would take KFC over this chicken any time.

This was my first time visiting Mary Browns in Vernon. I ordered the Buffalo chicken tenders. They were awesome. Lots of Buffalo sauce on the tenders. Definitely more than where Im visiting from. Ill stop in again if I get the chance.
Big Spicy Mary mustve been on a diet, this burger was tiny! Also those taters were pretty tasteless. Stick to Popeyes or Chesters chicken.
I Love Mary Browns Chicken and Taters !!! The Workers are Always Polite! The Chicken is Always Fresh & Tender !!! For me I like the fries better than the taters , but that is just My Opinion. Pop is not on tap ! Also a Reminder !!! Purchase Your groceries and items prior to eating in the restaurant when they can warrant it ! We were given a warning !

The female server today moved so slowly and was completely vacant of expression. It took forever for her to get 2 pcs chicken and a coleslaw. Then it was finally ready. All she had to do is bag it and walk 2 steps to hand it to me but she turned walked away and started to do something else. I said something and the other employee stepped up and gave it to me. She needs to be supervised!

I think Mary brown chicken is much better than KFC. Its not salty and greasy as KFC. Furthermore, the chickens are much bigger. Downside is ... why in side the wal mart? Its a hassle!!

I usually enjoy the food at Marys when Im looking for a chicken sandwich. Just had terrible service however, so I am very dissapointed. Lady at counter got my order wrong, and insisted she didnt get it wrong because the food she gave me was what was in the computer. Was not willing to consider the idea that she misheard me.
Chicken is ok. Costumer service is absolutely wrong in this place plus they never answer the phone. Schedule in this page is wrong too. Cant wait for Popeyes to open.
Poppins are addicting!! Really crispy and omg so good. Taters are delicious and apple turnovers are best I have ever had. Pricey but so good!

Consistently high quality, fresh chicken and taters. They are potato wedges coated in the same batter as the chicken, so delicious! Even the gravy is top notch. I love this place, staff are friendly and its conveniently located inside the Walmart.

* I dont consider it as resolved until I hear back from Corp on what steps will be taken to ensure this doesnt happen to anyone else in any Mary browns location.* Worst customer service. ordered two spicey mary combos through skip the dish and they sent us two original with spicy mayo. called the store and explained to them the error. was told to come back before 9pm for replacement. went to the store only to be made fun of infront of other customers and being told by the owner that there was no issue and he would call security on me. owner doesnt know how to talk to customer. worst store. never eating at any Mary browns ever again. save your money and go to BK or McDonalds. at least they know how to deal with customers.
I just love Mary Browns Chicken I probably eat it more than I should I love the fact that I can walk in they see me say hi and go would you like the usual its so nice makes you feel very welcome great chicken wedgies are fantastic better then Kentucky Fried Chicken and down will drive across town just to get it keep up the good work

Its good for on the go! We did have a mix up with our order once. Got given a completely different order then what we got. Got home found this out, went back and they delt with the problem in a very professional manner. Would recommend :)
Not the cheapest fast food joint around, but man do they make some good fried chicken. This stuff puts KFC to shame! Will mention as well we have placed some large group orders (feeding 20-30 people) and they have always had the order on time, and correct. Cant speak highly enough of this facility. Keep up the good work.

This is the best fried chicken Ive ever had. The sandwich was amazing and light, the poutine had a heavy rich gravy. Will definitely return. The staff here were amazingly kind and sweet. Ive never experience such kind staff in any restaurant. They try hard to please

Pretty expensive for a small wrap that had hardly any lettuce and a small piece of chicken in it.
Not the cheapest for fast food but great fried chicken and taters. The Colonel has nothing on Mrs Mary Brown. She puts down in the kitchen!!! I ordered a two peice chicken and taters expecting a snack of chicken strips. I was really surprised to receive two massive peices of chicken more than an entire breast that was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I can t write this review without mention of the dipping sauces. My goodness the Honey Mustard is THE greatest honey mustard I have ever had the pleasure of tasting in my entire life. I will now devote the rest of my weekend to finding out where I can get my hands on more of that sweet tangy nectar. Also, make sure to grab napkins. None came in the bag and we could have used two each.
Better than any kfc Ive ever had tasted like it just came out of the fryer. Everyone Ive asked about this place had positive things to say I highly recommend checking it out. Very similar menu to kfc but far better.

Great service, but they need to wash hands more often and not just rely on gloves. Wash hands between tasks. Food was great, but I was disappointed with the amount of salt used.
WAY better than KFC! The Chicken Pop-ins are good sized chunks of chicken (not just fatty batter like most popcorn chicken), and the dipping sauce flavors are fantastic! The Thai Chicken wrap i tried was delicious!
Chicken seemed to be up to par compared to other locations I have been at in Edmonton and Calgary. The women working the counter seemed to be in top of things. They forgot to bring us out another container of potatoes, so they lost points there. But all in all seems to be a new location with a lot going for it so hopefully they keep it up.
