Its a nice cozy restaurant. The staff is relatively friendly. The calamari is definitely probably the best in town. Its super tender and light. Definitely worth the visit if youre craving Greek food in Vernon.

First time eating at Dorians Greek Taverna. It was a very good and filling meal. It was served quickly and was very hot, I should have waited a minute or two so as not to burn my tongue. All together everything on the plate was tasty and good value for the money. The lighting was a little dim, making it a little hard to read the menu. Still I will recommend Dorians .

What a gem of a spot, being originally from the east coast and a Chef I had stopped in to try some of the goods and they didnt let me down. Calamari was out of this world good, young cook told me there trick( not giving it away) youll have to drop in a try for yourself. Delish Everything !

Always great food, service and the staff are very friendly. Glen rocks that kitchen. Ive never had a bad experience dining there. Its a must go if you visiting vernon and if you live here and havent gone yet.... What are you waiting for????

Id call this a decent Greek place in town. Calamari were not overdone, lamb roast was good. A solid contender for eating out. Four stars for atmosphere -- I found music was a bit too loud. Food

The staff here are always pleasant, whether waiting staff, kitchen staff, or the owners themselves. Never have I had a bad experience, although I have only been about three or four times. The atmosphere is perfect for a formally informal get together or occasion; Lights are just dim enough where you can read the menu without issue but not bright enough to blind a person. The music in the background is non-intrusive and provides a good backdrop. The decor makes me feel in a comfortable, home-like environment for a big family dinner. The food. Where do I begin? I am not some Greek expert, but I can say I am hooked. I order something new every time, and never have I been disappointed in my choice. The people cooking clearly love what they are making, and the owners have a passion for the quality provided. Might I recommend the lamb, personally? Cant wait to come back again.

The food tonight was fabulous, the chefs special was worth the money. My service and my server was way beyond quick and amazing. The place was way dark, yet, if I had a special someone to eat with, the atmosphere would be exquisite. I cant wait to try other dishes

Absolutely the best Greek salad dressing anywhere. Food is fantastic. Had the lamb chops which were cooked to perfection. Might not need to drive to Lake Country for Greek food.

Amazing food and service. Calamari melts in your mouth and the beef and chicken souvlaki was great too. The meat was the tastiest I ve had in years! Even my picky toddler ate and LOVED everything he tried! Definitely returning when I m in town!

Driven by for 5 years, finally first time visit tonight. An absolute joy. Our server was a delight. However, due to a technological mix-up, my gratuity was not included in the final payment, which makes me feel terrible. This was noticed only after getting home. We recommended only what we ordered, although I trust that the quality of everything else meets the quality of our delicious dinner.

We orders Dorians Platter For Two, for take out. All the food was superb, Truely amazing, delicious! We did not get our potatoes but that was fine. It was alot of food. The girls working were very pleasant too.

I have had pretty much everything on the menu multiple times over the years, I have never been let down for service, flavours of food and during as well as generous portions. This is the go to.

Full rack of lamb ribs 42$ so good !! Dorians famous ribs are delicious 29$ , fills you up !!! , the rice pilaff was perfect fluffy wholesome the portions were good the Greek salad was fresh delicious didn t over power any of the other food and lemon potatoes!!! souvlaki was awesome pita bread Tzatziki also super delicious cozy seating area really well made drinks the staff was very helpful hardworking caring and very hospitable well kept inside clean and inviting make reservations to ensure a spot this is a place I will always go to when in town ,great place to take girlfriend or wife for a lovely dinner or evening drink

I got 2 calamari dinners for myself and a family member. I picked them up to take home. For the price of the dinner, you get such a big portion. It was piping hot all the way home. It tasted soo good. My new fav place.

Had a lovely group dinner at Dorians with a group of addy investors - there was about 12 of us and the Dorian team executed our big group flawlessly. Everyones meal arrived at the same time; hot and super tasty! Highly recommend for group functions.

Quite expensive for what you get the greek food at the mall is better value when it comes to souvlaki.

The restaurant is dated, with cheap vinyl on the tables. We were greeted at the door by a server who invited us to sit anywhere, and then handed us a stack of menus with loose cutlery piled onto the dirty menu to carry to the table ourselves. It was gross We sat down, talked about going somewhere else but decided to stay because we were all hungry. We started wuth the calamari, it came out looking very pale and greasy. We each ate a couple puces but didnt finish it because it was like eating a grease sponge. Maybe the fryer isnt hot enough The food lacked flavour and tasted like it was cooked by someone who had better places to be. Potatoes had no caramelization from roasting, were they steamed? Not Bueno. Rice, also not good. Pita and tatziki seemed fresh, we ate that Roast lamb looked like it was just a neck, full of vertebrate and connective tissue. Greek salad was edible, cucumber was fresh but the tomatoes were mealy. The bill for 3 of us was $130 without any alcoholic drinks. Definitely wouldnt go back

Good menu variety. Service is efficient and friendly. Take out easy. A fun dining location for family or a celebration. Parking can be a bit challenging so plan extra time prior to your dining time.

Dont get a dinner unless you like starch. Rice, bread and potatoes, plus a bit of salad. Calamari was good, salad was small and average (literally one olive). Not good value, just loads of filler. Will not be going back when there are so many options in town.

Have had their food a few times now, and it never fails to impress!

We took calamari as starters which was pretty good. And as main dish , the roast lamb which was well cooked however in my honest opinion, lack so much taste & flavors of being a Greek food. We went for dining; the resto light inside was dim to such a level that its uncomfortable for the eyes after staying for some time.

I cant believe it was so good!! I have had Greek food many times before, but this was an experience! Flavours were complex and maximum intensity. The service was prompt and courteous, the ambiance was wonderful for a date, but I would go back with my mom, too!

Everything was awesome....BUT THE LEMON POTATOES SHOULD BE THROWN OUT.....HOW DISGUSTING. And lemon POTATOES are NOT COOKED GREEK..THEY PLAIN WHITE WITH LEMON.!

Did take out food, was fabulous, had the platter for 2 and husband allergic to prawns so had lamb as substitution. Everything very tasty and Greek salad veggies were nice and fresh. Also more than the 2 of us could eat so left overs as well.

A pretty good moussaka and a pretty good Lamb Shoulder. Not great mind you. My husband s lamb was tender but could have been seasoned with flavours of Greece like garlic and rosemary. My moussaka was good but not super flavourful - I worked in a Greek restaurant for years and I m used to the flavours that Niko and Barbie could coax out of humble ingredients.

This Greek restaurant absolutely blew me away. From the warm welcome of staff, to the delicious food, this place exceeded all expectations. This was by far my most memorable, and pleasant dining experience. Thanks in large part to our server Tanis, who was constantly on top of making sure all of our needs were met, along with her charming and friendly personality. So happy we checked this place out while staying at Sparkling Hill. This will be a yearly visit for us. Thank you once again!!

Excellent Greek food

We got take out from here because its too hot to cook at home and it was so completely not worth the price. Under seasoned, under sauced, under cooked and under portioned. This towns restaurants have a syndrome of mediocrity and its very depressing how accepted it is.

We came out stuffed! We ordered the platter for 2 that came with a Greek salad, pitas, chicken souvlaky, mousaka, prawns, calamari, rice and potatoes, plus a spanikopeda for an appetizer and cheese cake for dessert. Everything was delicious! We had the Greek beer and the Greek wine to tie our Greek experience together. The wait staff was fabulous and quick. Loved the ambiance of the restaurant with their semi private booths. Highly recommend if youre in the Vernon area looking for some Greek eats!

Made reservations in case it got busy, Covid compliant and friendly reception. The Sangria was good..the saganaki was a little over cooked and the Greek style ribs had too much oregano..a bit overbearing. The chefs combo was pretty good. The calamari was tender as was the Chicken souvlaki but the spanakopita was overcooked/dry. Too bad..

I love greek and I was hoping they were open but no they werent.

Went to have their Calamari dinner yesterday and the calamari had no flavour and was soggy. The potatoes were too lemony and sour, not roasted. Overall, only liked their greek salad and tzatziki. Not worth the money. Wont recommend for anyone to eat here unless they improve. Not worth the $23 I spent.

Can t even wait to leave the restaurant before posting this review... food and service are superb. Probably some of the best Greek I ve ever eaten. Only drawback is I m from Alberta and won t be able to come more often. We came in at 6:45 with one other table filled and within 20 mins the place is packed!

Food was not bad. Most Greek restaurants pride themselves on their Greek salad. Didnt get enough to tell if theirs was good or not. Chicken skewers were very good. Our waitress was good but the greet staff member was cold and un-inviting.

Pretty good portion sizes for the price. I had baby back ribs. Wife had chicken and calamari. All was pretty darn good. Ceasar salad (side) wasnt fantastic but overall pretty happy.

This place is a gem! By far the best Greek food Ive had in my 5 years living in the Okanagan. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The music is a perfect volume that you can talk amongst your table, yet not hear the table beside you. And the food is outstanding!

Dorians Greek Taverna is a wonderful dining experience. The food is a delicious delicacy of Greek cuisine. The staff is so very friendly and works extremely hard to make your evening a memorable experience. I highly recommend this restaurant for an evening of fine dining with friends and family.

Just had a delicious lunch at Dorians Greek Taverna. Multiple lamb choices. I rarely eat lamb at home so I always keep an eye open for restaurants that have it. They claim to have the best calimari in the Okanagan. Its battered and deep fried and has lots of little squids. Very delicious. There appeared to only be one waitress so service was slightly slow, but not slow enough to dock a star.

Excellent food and service. We always get the Greek platter which is huge and so delish. I am not a lamb lover but all the tables around is were raving about it. Definitely a great place to dine

Prices in restaurant are much higher than listed on their website. Portions are extremely large, but moussaka and chicken parmesana were quite bland and boring. Drinks were tiny. Overall just a very mediocre experience.

Great food and great service. It was surprisingly authentic Greek. The platter for two is more than enough to feed two people - my husband and I took some home. They have some more typical fare like spaghetti for kids who may not be as adventurous.

Most of the food was good and was as expected but the rack of lamb had no seasoning at all and although the meat was good, it was tasteless. Pretty disappointing when you order lamb. The chicken souvlaki was borderline undercooked. The calamari was mushy. The service was slow and intermitant. Wouldnt go back. Wouldnt recommend.
