The food was out of this world...the Chicken Tikka sure had a flavour that had my taste buds screaming for more..and their butter chicken was ample and tasty in fact we ended up taking some home as we were just stuffed and when I pass through or in Vernon I surely will stop in and try other dishes as they have a large menu, and the business sure was busy with pick ups and take aways a sure sign of a great place to buy and consume excellent food...we will be back for more...

This place was recommended to me with very good Indain food and we were not disappointed. Everything we ordered was spot on and very tasty, Vegi Pakora Pea Pulao Rice Yellow Dal Tadka Chicken Vindalo Roti Aloo Paratha Sweet & Mango Lassi I would highly recommend this establishment if your craving good quality Indain foods. PS,,,the store was full different items to create meals at home and many kinds of snack foods as well.

Bad experience all around. Definitely not up to industry standards for customer service and there was a hair in my food on top of everything else. After waiting half a hour for my food, I got a text that they cancelled my order through Skip the Dishes. I called the restaurant directly and they informed me matter-of-factly that they had cancelled all orders through Skip. I re-ordered through them directly and was told I would have to wait an additional 45 minutes. My order ended up costing my money than quoted on Skip the Dishes and I didn t receive so much as an apology or an acknowledgement for the inconvenience. I then was told I d have to wait 5-10 days for the money from Skip to be returned to my account, so in the meantime, I paid twice for food with a hair in it to a business who doesn t appreciate my patronage. Unlucky. I have spoken with the restaurant but if they contact me to make things right, I will delete this post.

Shahi paneer sauce was not cooked all the way, could taste the garlic and ginger, naan was undercooked slightly as well.

Came in for lunch here and the butter chicken was perfectly cooked in five minutes. That inspired me to write a good review and come back for more. There is even small parking around the back next to the field.

My wifes and my first time here. Mainly a takeout establishment but there was a table there where we sat to eat.. The food and portions are fantastic. The prices are great for the fantastic food you get. Service is fantastic as well and we will definitely be stopping by for food again. There is also a small grocery store attached that has ethnic food and other items for sale. Dietary restrictions: We are Plant Based and the food was prepped according to our eating lifestyle.

Tasteless food Pakora chutney is like a water bad quality

I had the lamb biriyani, which was very tasty. The portion was large and they gave a good amount of meat. The lady who runs the place is very warm and friendly. We ll definitely be back to try some more dishes.

Never expected this kind of food in Vernon. This is a small husband wife takeout service but they know how to cook tasty Pak/Indian food. We ordered chicken karahi, chicken biryani, butter chicken and daal tarka. Food was halal and very tasty. Thumbs up and most recommended.

The good is amazing and the staff so friendly and helpful! The menu lists both gluten free and lactose free items, so easy to order! The store is stocked with many delights and surprises, too, so skip the door dash and go in! Huge amount of chicken in our dishes and the spices were amazing. We had just finished a hike and we weren t able to finish all the food and had plenty for dinner. We will be back. Thank you. Ordered their food on Door Dash. Looks like their chef s expertise is in making sodium biriyani. The food, both lamb and chicken biriyani, was so salty that I couldn t even take a proper bite. Worst food in town. Maybe the chef was having a bad day but I m not going back anywhere near this store.

For real the best Indian in vernon, there once a week at least. The lamb curry is especially good, and the tandoori grill mix is also very good. Quality is top tier and the price is some of the cheapest in vernon. Highly recommend.

So far, the best Indian food I have eaten in the Okanagan! I got a variety of dishes last night for dinner, and ordered medium spicy, and they were all so flavourful, perfectly spiced and the exact amount of heat I love! Well done!!! Best halal food in vernon.

Me and my friends live in Kelowna, but still visit Shahi Pakwan once in a month to taste their mouth watering foods. As a muslim, halal options are very limited in the okanagan area. Shahi Pakwan is indeed one of the best in thei business. The quality and quantity is up to the mark! Most of their items cant be finished on a single sitting, so had to pack the rest to eat later. Ordered a Lamb Vindalo ,the taste was good but it came with 70% potatoes and 30% meat pieces should have named potato curry .Lately, the quantity is getting lesser than it used to be, be it the rice provided or the amount of meat in curry. The Biriyani is a hit or miss ,sometimes its really good . Most of the time, its just the rice mixed with curry.

Best authentic Indian cuisine Ive found in Vernon!

This restaurant is a self-proclaimed Halal restaurant but it neither has any halal certification nor an invoice from its supposed Halal meat suppliers. The only rationale these guys have is that the owner named Imran is a Muslim, and if says that the meat is halal then we all must believe him. Dont trust me? Visit them next time and ask for a certificate or an invoice yourself and listen to their justification.

A good place for Indian food take out. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Owner was friendly and even adjusted her time just to accommodate us. The only thing I noticed that needs improvement is the cleanliness of the place. I noticed some guys bringing in furnitures so Im guessing theyre on the process of renovating the place. All in all, its a good place to buy take out delicious Indian food in Vernon.

The cleanliness of this place grossed me out when you walk in the walls are filthy. The floorboards are disgusting. I didn t even get to the food, because the place was so gross that I couldn t even order I had to leave, which is a shame because the person working behind the counter seemed very nice.

Excellent food, but it can be inconsistent. I always order the Butter Chicken Poutine, and the amount of Butter Chicken sauce to the fries can vary from order to order. When the toppings are balanced and the fries are fresh, this is an excellent dish.

Ordered from here twice now. Sorry to say I won t order again :( Price is okay, the mint chicken is tasty. But the butter chicken is way too sweet. Pakora is cold every time and on the mushy side. The coconut and garlic naan are on the bland side too. Maybe better to go in?

We ordered delivery. A main dish comes with free naan or rice. I ordered Mushroom Do Piaza with two pieces of garlic naan. It was $14 CAD. I ordered a 4 out of 6 on the spicy scale. It is equivalent to what the second highest spice level is at other restaurants. The meal exceeded my expectations. The naan bread isnt quite as soft as other restaurants. Very bad food, we have ordered tandoori roti and got frozen roti not even tandoori but it was tawa roti. Karahi chicken was so bitter in taste. Really had very bad experience and spend $50 but totally waste of money. NOT RECOMMENDED

I had tried their food before. It was the best Indian biriyani we had in vernon. But now its the worst. Recently I tried it twice and both the time, I felt like rice was not cooked properly and felt like stale. I was really disappointed as it was the inly halal one we had in vernon.

For 3 people, we ordered the following for < $65: veg Pakora, fish masala, Chicken vindaloo, chicken tikka masala, some rice and aloo paratha. Everything was so delicious with the exception of the aloo paratha that tasted not fresh, a bit burned, and was falling apart. I couldnt decide which curry I liked most as they were all good in their own way. Great online ordering platform. I felt the prices were very fair. I ordered 2 orders of rice at $3 each and they gave me 6 small cardboard boxes of yummy rice. $4 of pakora was perfect for 3 people. Menu was also very gluten-free and lactose free friendly! We were looking for halal food options on vacation in vernon. Glad we found this place! The food was amazing. No Alcohol on site (for those who care); there were seven of us in the group and we all ate our full (with left overs) - including mango lassis - for less than $130. The food was amazing. My only complaint is that there are too many food options with too little time try them all. They all looked delicious. Looking forward to coming back.

Decent pricing and portion sizes. Our vindaloo and tikka masala were okay but the butter chicken was barely edible, its like it had 10x the correct amount of one of the seasonings and it was very unpleasant as a result. The saffron rice tasted offensively like hot plastic as if it had been cooked in the container we took it home in, while the regular rice was dried and stale. The samosas were okay but overall I dont think Ill return because half of what we ordered didnt live up to expectations.

Their food is BUSSIN bussin but I wouldnt recommend getting delivery because Ive had a good few times where I ordered food and it never showed up. But, if youre picking up, its the best in town for getting maximum bang for your buck. The portions are enormous and the flavour slaps. Definitely better than Mr. Mikes.
