New 20241103 event review: My mom organised a (small) family reunion in celebration of my fathers 90th birthday here. Once again, Darryl did an amazing job to satisfy all our dining needs. The food, as before, was outstanding - but Darryls service is worthy or further mention. Dinner with my mom and youngest in Summer review: Im really struggling to decide what was better - the service from Darryl or my Ahi Tuna Poke (and our youngests Cabana Burger - which I got a bite of too)? Also, Darryl makes one wicked spicy Caesar - definitely one of the best Ive had. A major shout out to Darryl. Well be back on our next visit to Vernon. In the meantime, I hope whoever reads this asks for Darryl to serve them (and tell him he was recommended by me on Google Reviews) :)

Hungry like bears we ve come to the restaurant and it s been such a delicious dinner: toast three ways and pasta Mittanesca. Great food atmosphere, and service!

My regular restaurant was closed and we ended up going to this one with my family visiting. We waited for a whole 5 minutes to get seated, so I went to the front desk to ask to be seated as I was with my father who had a bad knee. He help up ride away but when the waitress arrived, she made a comment about the sign asking to wait to be seated. So I explained to her that we did not do it on her own, mentioning the front desk clerk. she looked really unpleased with my response!! I was really socked to hear her a second time about the signed. Our food was not exceptional and the cleaning crew was vacuuming right by our table.. obviously will never return. Just as pricy as everywhere else but unsatisfied with mostly everything else.

We celebrated a milestone birthday at Cabana and had a wonderful experience! Food was top notch, service was very professional and attentive. Special shout out to Darryl for making our dinner special! Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, only ramps.

Daryl was great and served a delicious aperol spritz with pear liquor! It was a great setting for a cocktail before dinner.

Our host Darryl helped us choose an excellent meal considering our food intolerances. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, and Darryl was a gracious and courteous host. Dietary restrictions: Menu shows items that can be modified to become a gluten free option

Called for reservations for our 40th anniversary. They said we would get a complimentary dessert. They Wanted to seat us right in the middle, we moved to a table off to the side. Service was slow with only 1 server but it was not busy. Baseball teams were starting to come in. We asked if we could get our picture taken. He was busy so he would get another server to do take it. She came out to another table took their picture and left. We had to pay for our dessert. He said there is nothing complimentary for anniversaries.

Food was delicious and service by Darrel - great. He had a great sense of humour.

We came for the ambience, which was nice. The place wasn t busy at all, but it took over 45 minutes to get our food. The prices suggest high end dining, but it was the complete opposite. The poké bowl was bland and more of an Indian dish with a weird blend of flavorings. The fish from the fish and chips was undercooked and had the taste of old grease, and the burger was so small that our daughter was left hungry afterwards. I don t like giving negative reviews, but I m trying to save people from spending their hard earned money on a bad experience. The ambience is nice, the food is terrible. Go there for drinks, if anything.

I was shocked how awesome this place was. They had a $10 breakfast and if you don t have not been in this restaurant, it s absolutely a paradise oasis.

One of our favourite restaurants in Vernon. Our meal top notch , the steak done perfectly. We were well served by Anu who was friendly & efficient.

Expensive bad service and terrible food pretty atmosphere

Limited menu, but their steak is good. I just dont like the ambiance that is a bit dark, and you smell the chlorine on the pool while eating.

One of the best steak dinners (surf & turf) weve had in Vernon! Anu was a great server and made sure we were well looked after! Kid-friendliness: Kids were welcomed, and they had a great kids menu!

Food, drinks and atmosphere were great, nice variety on the menu at a good price point. Our server Anu, was friendly, attentive, and prompt while serving a large party celebration. Will be back again soon. Kid-friendliness: Kiddos really enjoyed their food and the sizes were perfect. They also enjoyed the unique, welcoming atmosphere.

Nicely updated decor. Didn t notice any pool odor and no pool activity either. We had the smaller servings of beef stroganoff and stuffed manicotti and both were delicious Great service too

Super disappointed, they just hired this amazing dark skin girl whos probably one of my favorite servers Ive ever had, I could swear she was a bartender somewhere last year, anyway she doesnt work there anymore and shes probably only been there a cpl months... only reason I went to the restaurant was to see her pretty face now Im back at square one!

Went there for New Year s Eve. Made a reservation for 6:30. We got there and they didn t have a reservation for us. The place wasn t busy so we waited. The bartender and the server both made eye contact with us as we just stood there. Finally another server seated us and gave us water. We sat for at least 15 minutes while our server just walked by a bunch of times. Not even a hello or a drink order. We got up and went to Mr Mikes across the road where the service was fantastic. I made this comment on their instagram page and all they did was delete it and blocked me. I m sure the food is great but the service is atrocious

My partner ordered the Signature Dish, Muscles in a Peso Sauce. When it came there was no Pesto sauce and the muscles were old and overcooked. I ordered Beef Stroganoff. Was supposed to come with mushrooms and capers. It came with neither and a negligible amount of beef. They offered to replace it. When they did the mushrooms and capers were present with almost no beef. The bread they supplied was 4 Dough Boy Poops Ranks along with Intermezzo, Italian Kitchen as worst places to dine in Vernon.

Vegetarian options: We were there for the Christmas Buffet and the food was terrible the lighting poor and couldn t see what you were try to put on your plate. The price has increased by $9.00 per person for seniors and $3.00 per person for non seniors compared to on line its price advertised. Made a difference of $24 to the dinner for four. Not impressed.

Went for New Years Eve dinner with out of town guests. Very noisy because the pool was full of kids(it was like eating at the Rec. Center)steak not done, meal not as pictured, waited over an hour for the food. Very disappointing for the cost and we will not likely be back.

Had the most lovely time today for Social Hour. Our waiter Chris was AMAZING!!! He went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. Will definitely be back.

Absolutely fantastic! Dishes are excellent across the board, and sitting in the atrium with all the greenery is an amazing dining experience.

Service was great and the atmosphere of being in an old school atrium style hotel is cool. The food though was quite disappointing. Pasta in one dish was overcooked so that it was one big stuck together blob, and another was undercooked so the pasta was hard and chewy. Seasoning on the two of the dishes was very bland. Overall disappointing as I was hoping to be blown away with fresh pasta and strong flavours.

Excellent night with a delicious dinner, great food choices and good beverages. They even have proper cocktail and whiskey glasses. The staff was lovely and we will definitely be back. Vegetarian options: Choices and adjustments can be made.

The waitress was all by herself ...she did a great job for how difficult it was for her . We all left her a good tip.

Visited with my family, Great service and food. I had the seafood spaghetti dish, it was delicious!

So disappointed. We d hoped for a good meal with good service at this relaunched restaurant but we ended up, eventually, with some good wine, good pasta, an MIA appie and dismal service. We were seated and given some water then left for 15min to sip the water, look at the menu, and wonder why we came here. Honestly, 15min before we see a server ? I d like a drink to start please ! When our server eventually returned (after the 15min of silence) we (two of us) ordered a bottle of wine, an appetizer and mains, easy peasy. But . it took 10 additional minutes before we got our wine (no extra water offered in the meantime). Okay, 25min in and at least we finally have a glass of wine and some hope that our appie will show up soon. 30min after the wine showed up we got our mains! Yep, the appie was MIA. This is NOT fine dining folks, the pasta tasted good but hey, why am I 55min in before I see any food on my table? Really, ANY food at all ! It s pasta and the restaurant had maybe 30% butts in seats during our visit ! So, in lieu of the appie that we ordered what kept our appetite at bay while we waited 55min for our meals? Was there a bun, bread, anything? Nope, nada. So, pasta and wine are consumed, comes time to pay . Mains were priced correctly (that s good but kind of expected), no-show appie wasn t charged (great), wine (sigh) was incorrectly priced (Saturday discount shown in the menu was missed). Minimum suggested tip: 20% so $30.00 We wanted this to work but it just didn t. 25 minutes after seating before we get a drink and 55 minute after seating before we get any food at all. And it wasn t busy! Sad, used to be a nice place to eat. Maybe breakfast here is better?
