Oh my goodness, this place was on my radar ever since we came into town and it did not disappoint, the food is fantastic!!! This Italian food is made with pure love and is super flavorful. Hubby had the arribata with sausage, perfectly flavored, with the perfect amount of spice, and the sausage was delicious. I had meatballs with penne and it was rich and savory, I wish I had gotten more so I could have leftovers tomorrow! The pasta is perfectly cooked as well as the foccacia slices. I recommend getting a couple extra slices, you will not regret it! The dessert looked fantastic, but we usually are not dessert people, but I would expect it's just as good, and perfectly portioned, so you should bring some dessert home too. We met the sister and brother, and they are so friendly and inviting, you can't help but love them and their food. What a gem here in Vernon! Do not miss this amazing Italian experience!
I can’t stop in Vernon without grabbing some food here. The couple running it are the sweetest folks, and the food is a reflection of their years of hard work and care. The sandwiches are well priced, absolutely delicious, and can be found nowhere else locally. To put it simply I love the restaurant these two have created and maintained. Hope you never change!!
Cute small little restaurant. They have a drive through and a tiny shelf/table you can sit inside. There were two very friendly and kind men running the store. When I arrived there was 1 person in drive through and 3 people inside. These workers got everyone out of there so quickly! It was great efficient service. After taking my order it was ready in under 10 minutes. Hot items were packaged seperate from the cold items. The worker opened my salad after purchase to put fresh croutons and parmesan in so everything was crunchy and fresh to eat. The pasta dishes come with focaccia bread which is delicious! I got the penne with italian sausage and 2 meatballs just to try the flavor. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. The meatballs were so flavorful and you get 1 whole Italian sausage! The desert was very nice as well. A little sweet for me to eat in one sitting but it was still just as good the next day. I really enjoyed my visit here.
What a lovely little place! The owners were an absolute pleasure, even offering sauce samples so we could decide on what to order. The Chicken Parmesan is fantastic, and my absolute favourite was the sun-dried tomato pasta with chicken…seriously the best! Thanks JenAlio’s for the memorable meal and fantastic service!
I haven’t been feeling the best today and didn’t want to cook, so I ordered from JenAlio’s but forgot to get a ginger ale. I called them seeing if I could add to the order but it wasn’t possible at the time. When my food came to the door they had sent my ginger ale on the house🥹🥰❤️
I adore quaint family-owned restaurants and this one exceeded expectations. When I arrived, the gentleman kindly recommended a sauce and allowed me to test try it (so kind of him) The flavours were so delicious!!! We ordered the Arrabiata spaghetti with meatballs and the Sundried Tomato Cream Sauce with fettuccine and sausage. The only downside? - I wanted more! We will be back, when we are in town. Thank you!
This is my 121st eatery in Vernon on my quest to eat at every eatery in Vernon. I always walk by Jenalio's on the way to Kal Beach or Alexander's for trivia. I finally gave it a try on July 19 2023. I came in ten minutes before closing. The owners still took time to explain their expansive Italian menu. I appreciated the map of Italy on the front door. I couldn't find the tiny village in Calabria where my cousins and ancestors are from, though. I paid $17ish for their Pasta of the Day (bolognese) and a can of ginger ale. Since they were about to close, I didn't ask if I could eat inside on the ledge or the outdoor table. Therefore, I walked to Kal Beach and ate it at a picnic table. It tasted really good. I highly recommend this spot. I found the prices very reasonable. I only like Italian food when visiting Italy, but Jenalio's is one of the rare exceptions.

Absolutely fantastic! This family-owned gem transports me straight to my Nonnas kitchen. From the moment I walked in, the warm welcome and nostalgic aroma makes me feel right at home and brings a tear to my eye because its so familiar and feels like home. (In the most beautiful way) The food? Its simply incredible. Every dish is bursting with mouth-watering authentic flavors that only true Italian home cooking can deliver. The pasta is perfectly al dente, the sauces rich and savory, and the desserts are to die for. As an Italian girl who grew up with the best, I can confidently say this place is second to none. Highly recommend! Five stars all the way! Grazie!

We moved to Coldstream last May and have eaten here several times. We love the food and the incredibly kind staff/owners. My husband and I are both sick, so we thought this would be perfect. Darn...closed on Sunday.

New resident to Vernon and finally stopped to grab a meal. I caught them between opening times and they went out of their way to serve me. Ordered the tomato sauce fettuccine with Meatballs,focicia bread and large Ceasar salad. Very happy with the meal and just the right amount of sauce. If I had any complaint at all it would be that 2 servings of Ceasar dressing would work better for the large salad other then that I highly recommend this establishment and it was a pleasure to chat with the owners,very kind and I felt well received and welcome. Definitely will be back to try something else since the menu is extensive..Cheers and hope another 13 yrs are in the plans.

The food here is always delicious, always consistent, and *always* authentic tasting. The food tastes like good home cooked Italian meals did, while growing up with my mum. It also feels like walking into a little restaurant in Italy that I went to once. Its also a great spot to impress a date with, since its tucked away from the other restaurants in town. It feels like a hidden gem

It was good. Like eating a homemade spaghetti from gran but it was very basic. I was still hungry after the meal which is odd for a pasta dish. You get exactly what you pay for. They say theres fresh focaccia included with every order: its not great. Its small. If it was 10 bux for what theyre serving Id give them 4.5 out of 5 but since its kinda expensive for what you get it only deserves 3 stars. But the guys who run it are very nice and I hope them the best. I think the market is making them up their prices but its not reflective of a great experience.
We ordered lasagna family meal plus one single serving for a family dinner. It consisted of noddles and tomato sauce, no ground beef or cheeses. Very disappointed and lots left over because no one enjoyed it! Never order there again just a waste of $100.00. The salad that came with it was good..

This is a great lil restaurant. I have done both take out, or eat in. Theres only a couple tables for 2 so its a great place for a cute date for you and your SO. Also, its a drive through Italian pasta restaurant, what a neat concept. The food is remarkably delicious. They take pride in what they make there. Highly recommend.
Authentic Italian take out. Jenny is a great cook. Just like mama used to make. Ive tried most of the dishes on the menu and can honestly say I loved them all.
Must stop for a delicious lunch at a mom and pops shop with owners who beam with joy and take pride in their food!

Just moved to Vernon, but Ive been by this place several times as its on my way to visit family that have lived here for years,finally decided to try it out and let me tell you,we were not disappointed, the food( lasagna) was incredible, not to mention the portions were huge,the ladies that helped me out were awesome as well,answering questions as well as being incredibly friendly. Highly recommend and we will gladly be back for more, thank you so much for a great experience.

Came for wifes birthday dinner she wanted authentic food and seemed like a good idea we bought a family meal lasagna to heat up at home said feeds 4 to 6 price was 69 we got a extra ceaser salad and balsamic and olive oil. We thought we got a baked lasagna to take home to feed our family of 5 unfortunately we opened to see just 4 portions of lasagna to heat up. They sell individually for 13 a portion would of cost me less pretty much to order 5 portions. Now dinner is ruined. Just not what we expected when we paid 100.87

Ordered the chicken parm, penne with rose sauce and tiramisu. The portions were extremely small, and everything tasted store bought as opposed to homemade. The rose sauce tasted like store bought jarred sauce, and the tiramisu was basically vanilla cake with a hint of coffee. I was hoping for traditional tiramisu made with lady fingers and marscapone. Dissappointing.

Delicious homemade authentic meatballs and overall great quality food. The only place in Vernon to get real Italian cuisine, I am beyond thankful for it too. A perfect decadent treat for yourself! The pasta and meatballs is an obvious choice for an amazing meal, however the cheese tortellini is also great too. The ceasar salad dressing is made from scratch and you can definitely taste the difference!
JenAlios is a really great place to get a superb meal. And a delicious latte. Check it out, do your taste buds a favour.

Amazing fettuccine! Coming back from a big mountain bike ride at Kal park the boyfriend and I were famished so we stopped into JenAlios for a quick dish for the first time. The drive through was surprisingly fast. We got the fettuccine Alfredo and fettuccine with creamy pesto, both with Italian sausage. The meal was scrumptious. Pasta was cooked to perfection. Pesto and sausage were bursting full of flavor. The dishes were not oily or overly salted. Very delightful dinner. I also made the mistake of ordering just one tiramisu like the previous customers. The cake was so moist and light - so good I didnt know if I should eat it or rub it all over my body. It was SO good! Didnt bother sharing the cake with my boyfriend. Total party in my mouth. Highly recommend this fine authentic Italian gem.

My wife and I have been eyeing this place for a few years now, we dont live in the area so we have never had the opportunity. Tonight we had th chance and the food was fantastic! Everyone (five adults and two children) ordered a different dish, each person enjoyed what they had. The portions are large the prices are fair, we had nothing to complain about. Outstanding meal.

Food was great. But the focaccia was a little dry. Unfortunately the family meal with focaccia doesnt automatically come with oil and balsamic. Staying at an AirBnB and didnt have either on hand.

First off - incredible warm and kind customer service explaining the menu and answering any questions. Then the food... INCREDIBLE!!!!! Homemade sauces and pasta made daily! The menu says All items are made from scratch, so you can imagine our disappointment when we opened the cheese tortellini to find its just the 3-colour tortellini Costco or any grocer sells. The chicken in the chicken Parm was great, but again, the pasta (penne) seemed right out of the box. Maybe we just hit it on a bad night, but we wont be back. Friendly service though.

Amazing food!! The best homemade comfort dishes in town. The creamy pesto sauce is to die for and the focaccia has the perfect seasoning on top to give it that little extra touch. I would recommend trying this place if youre looking for something new. They have a small space to eat, but also the best option of take away (single option or feed the whole family!! (let them know 30 mins in advance for family meals)). This place will be my quick go-to from now on because the prices are very reasonable and the portion sizes are great :) And have I mentioned the homemade goodness?!
The food is outstanding! The fresh pasta is cooked perfectly every time and the lasagna is quite possibly the best Ive ever had. (Sorry mom, theirs is better!) The staff are always friendly and service is quick and efficient. Ive tried a fair bit of the menu and found, if you like pasta, you cant really go wrong ordering here.

Fantastic coffee and food Jenny is a sweetheart. Down side right now is the City of Vernon has ripped up the road in front of the cafe for some foolish bike path.

Delicious food, weve gone 2 days in a row now. Lasagna and a side order of meatballs is the way to go! Where else can you order delicious and relatively quick italian food that is a great price! Definitely will go back again and again while on holidays in Vernon area.

JenAlios is the best take-out in town. The Lasagna is perfect! Not a dish full of soup but a nice piece of cake like lasagna. Huge portions, great salads and top it with a die-for tiramisu.
