Very cold and disappointing service. Although the restaurant was not full we were received with an air of superiority. Also, I think the maître d was upset that we were only interested in one dish + wine. At this price, we have the right to expect much better. The food was reasonable and the wine ok. A warm welcome in a very pleasant and cozy setting. A perfect menu, with menus and a very interesting menu. The wine list offers all terroirs and of good quality. We enjoyed a fine and tasty starter, followed by a steaming and very well garnished casserole, a blanquette of capon with chanterelles and small vegetables. The dish was also very generous. Very good, tasty and seasonal cuisine but the service really spoils the meal. We clearly understood that the waitress was speedy and rather unhappy with our arrival time (although we had reserved for 1 p.m. without any problem). We almost felt too much. No friendly words exchanged, she did not ask us how the meat was cooked and even rolled her eyes when the vegetarian option (offered on the menu) was requested. We also had the right to say oh I have to check if there are still any because as its already past 1 p.m., its not sure. With a short, seasonal menu, AND a reservation, we didnt expect such thought. Too bad because the quality and quantity of the products is top notch. If you wish to come, come well before 1 p.m. if you do not wish to attract the wrath of Madame. But if you want a warm atmosphere, go your way.

You may have trouble keeping track of your conversations because its so good. Well-chosen wines, well-defined flavors, well-worked textures and quality ingredients. I would recommend this place to my local residents... if I lived in the area.

Average and expensive. Very good egg meurette starter. Average capon casserole dish, bland and all in a tasteless juice. Dessert chocolate and nut tartlet good. All for 25 without drinks. This is just my opinion, but I wouldnt go back.

I was very disappointed across the board. - First of all, the service was very unfriendly and even downright surly... it wasnt pleasant at all. - The atmosphere: cold, not at all warm. - The quality of the cuisine: I was more than disappointed. I had almost veal, with vegetables. Its meant to be gourmet, so yes the plate is well presented but in terms of taste its really not that. Overcooked meat, it was super salty and overall it was dry! Even the bread was very average. My friends had scallops (overcooked, not tender...) and super bland vegetables... Finally it was baked camemberts we are looking for the camembert. There is more sandwich bread and apples in it than Camembert. I really dont recommend it unfortunately... especially given the price...

The food was tasty and well executed. Correct setting. However, our experience was spoiled by very unpleasant service. Wanting to serve dessert to one of the guests while the others have not finished their dishes is inappropriate. Finally, children do not seem to be welcome in the establishment.

Great discovery and by far one of the most beautiful places to eat in Vernon. Refined and homemade cuisine, the foie gras is fantastic, the hazelnut shortbread dessert with strawberries and thyme has no reason to be ashamed of the surrounding pastries. Its a killer. The service is fast and very pleasant. Smile and kindness. We will definitely come back. Make a reservation to be sure of having a table. Thank you for this moment.

Quality, seasonal French cuisine, served in a pretty setting. The presentation of the dishes is refined and the portions are rather generous. The vegetable and parmesan risotto was very fine. I had a surprising and delicious dessert cheese: a toast with good bread, grilled smoked Pont lévêque, and served on a poached pear, as melt-in-your-mouth as possible. All this, accompanied by a small green salad sprinkled with strawberries... my taste buds were in celebration! Good little glass of rosé Beaujolais, very fresh. Good meal, too bad the service is deplorable! We have 2 daughters who are not big eaters and the surly boss snubbed us all evening because we had ordered a burger to share for the main course, which she served... with only one plate. We felt embarrassed, and the upset children almost didnt touch their desserts. Lamentable behavior which ruined our evening... I strongly recommend this restaurant for families.

Good morning, I havent eaten in this restaurant so I wont talk about the quality of the meals, that said, we were looking at the menu from outside with my partner when someone from the restaurant came out and slightly jostled us (I pushed myself and apologized for being in the way). The person looked at us badly, huffed, replaced the Christmas tree which we had absolutely not touched, and came back in with the same dark look. So we ate elsewhere...

Everything went very, very well. The welcome from the owner is impeccable, we feel her smiling despite the mask and delighted to welcome us. The reservation made on the internet has been taken into account. Regarding the meal, nothing to complain about, everything was excellent from starter to dessert. The products are fresh, seasonal, of good quality and very well cooked. The decoration is really nice, it gives a warm atmosphere. The menu presented on a large breadboard is great. A restaurant to which we will return without hesitation. We were looking forward to the reopening and were definitely not disappointed.

Restaurant visited with friends on a Sunday lunchtime. Im honestly very disappointed, the quality-quantity-price ratio didnt seem good at all for the vegetarian dish (and Im really a small eater). The welcome was authoritarian and urgent. My friends who did not take the vegetarian dish seemed a little more satisfied with their plates even if they shared my point of view regarding the welcome.

Passing through VERNON we presented ourselves at the restaurant without reservation. Very warm welcome and excellent meal for a lunch menu at 17 euros starter, main course, dessert of very good quality. Wine by the glass available excellent game in three colors. In the end a very good address not very far from GIVERNY much more and too touristy although very nice to visit.

Had 2 festive menus with my wife and 2 opposing opinions. - Delicious foie gras starter but waitress unable to advise us on the 3 sweets on the menu apart from giving us the name of the grape variety and belittling us on our wine knowledge. - Saffron risotto full of water and therefore overcooked. The taste of the bacon coating the scallops is too pronounced, too bad. - Apple Comté crumble. Surprising mix but very good. Beautiful organic wine list and Demeter label.

4 stars for the kitchen. the chef is rather inventive, the products are fresh and of high quality. The card is regularly renewed.... But... (read more) On the other hand, 0 for the reception of the first contact with the bill. A kindness that is matched only by the bosss responses to negative comments. The atmosphere is heavy and the servers seem to be suffering from this situation. 4 times 0 = 0 stars. The reception literally ruins the moment. There is confusion between stuffy professionalism (why not) and hostile attitude. An example that makes us laugh in hindsight: the red wine was very hot (room temperature in summer, easily 25°C). This is entirely excusable: some people like it that way and not all establishments can have a cellar. We simply asked to be able to freshen it up a bit. The reply was not long in coming, the owner did not spare us from her comments, explaining to us, outraged, that red wine can be drunk at this temperature (do we have an American face? who cut their wine with coke?) and that if we wanted to make this mistake, she absolved herself of all responsibility for the wine. Limit you had to sign a waiver! And so it is very uncomfortable with this course from a boss who describes herself as connoisseur (dixit) that we had to insist that it be served at the right temperature. Because yes Madam, red wine is generally served between 16 and 19°C (roomed = bedroom temperature... Back when we didnt overheat!). This example is typical of reception. The whole beginning is forgivable: the equipment (absence of cellar), the temperature offered (hot), the ignorance of the boss... But the attitude in return is not. And even if we were wrong, that doesnt give you the right to make your customers look like idiots. It s a shame that the boss remains impervious to negative remarks about her attitude and only sees them as unfounded attacks. We dont go back there anymore for this reason. Has this changed since summer 2019? We dont want to try anymore. As she says in a comment: Ive been doing this job for 30 years, Im not going to change today. Either.

Well presented dishes but lacking in flavor. The boss should be more helpful. The concept of the formula, without being able to have a dish à la carte, leaves me perplexed.

Where to start. A star for the wine, the choice is quality. However, too expensive for the overall quality of the meal, do not take restaurant vouchers on Saturday evening. A shame when its 28 euros per head without dessert! Another thing, we choose plain water. We were expecting a carafe of water, no it was a bottle of Evian priced at 3.50. I wont go back there. I recommend the Bistrot des fleurs which is of much better quality in all respects!!!

I ate there last night, the room is very well decorated, friendly and friendly atmosphere. The staff listens to the customer and the food is delicious. We had a great time as a couple. The waiting time is very reasonable. The wines on the menu are good and the prices are not astronomical: very, very good value for money. Thank you to the manager for accepting my restaurant tickets, I find the criticism towards her a little harsh, its her temperament! A lady spoke badly to her little waiter, she joined her outside!! Of course we are not obliged to be witnesses of that but unfortunately it is the hazards of business! I have been in business for 43 years and know well the risks of pleasing or not!!!

Affordable menus (23 2 courses / 29 3 courses). Dish of the day, fresh and in sufficient quantity (for those who are hungry). Special mention to the homemade fries which were a treat. The desserts, on the other hand, are too copious and quickly become cloying. A cool service at the beginning (asking for a carafe of water was poorly received and you had to wait a long time to get it), it warmed up somewhat afterwards.

We just called to reserve a table for couples + 1 child and the woman refused us with an old, invalid excuse. We call a second time 5 minutes later, with another number, and the lady tells us that there is a table of 4 left. This is UNacceptable and I intend to raise awareness about this age discrimination! Please note that this practice is prohibited and a quick article for the boss who I hope will come across this comment: if the professional clearly displays his desire to refuse the presence of young children, for example by a sign, this is a discriminatory refusal (age discrimination). In this case, you could file a complaint because it is a criminal offense and you could also report it to the fraud prevention services and alert the rights defender responsible for combating discrimination. The manager faces penalties of up to 5 years imprisonment and a fine of 75,000. » Believe me, I will talk about you!

For dinner on Saturday 13/07, fireworks evening, we called the day before to reserve a table for 7 people. Very good telephone reception from the manager who, despite an almost full room, modified her seating plan to be able to accept us. We were all very satisfied with this evening. As usual, this restaurant offers a cozy setting, impeccable service, a constantly renewed menu, original and very successful cuisine, in short, nothing to complain about. In addition, the childrens menu is simply impeccable: children eat exactly the same dishes as adults, but in adapted portions. This is rare enough to highlight it. This establishment has become one of our must-sees in Vernon.

Decent cuisine, fresh produce, nothing to say on the menu! Overall we had a good evening! However, there are some problems with the service and reception! in fact we came with a baby and stroller and obviously we didnt like it too much, we were also waiting for a friend to join us and during this wait, it was impossible to order an aperitif on the pretext that the waitress had to take all the orders at the same time ! Furthermore, it s impossible to know what was in the gourmet coffee , I quote I can t know in advance, it changes every day ! Plus when we haven t finished eating yet and the boss starts clearing the table it just gives the impression that we have to leave! To summarize, good food but lack of friendliness and respect for customers, the service is deplorable and the owner is not friendly!

The food was good but the welcome ruined everything... really a shame. You are already thinking at the entrance that there is something strange because of the warning stuck to the door: please treat the waitress like a human being When you enter you understand... you get scolded for the slightest question (possible type of having 2 entries...)...
