We love this place it's our go to take out food! Always friendly and efficient on the phone, we love how fast our delivery comes and the food is HOT. We went this Summer with a big group to dine in and had an amazing feast with Gluten free options and excellent service.
I'm not a huge fan of this kind of food but the service was decent, the food was pretty good and the place was pretty clean.
Ordered $77 worth of take out on a Sunday evening. Broccoli was terribly mushy, chow mien was not stir fried well, chunks of white noodles in centre and dish was cold. I did send an email, did ask for a response but never received one at all. The best thing to do is eat in then you can refuse the dish if it is not satisfactory rather than driving 10km back home. Very disappointed about lack of contact or care for customers.
Such a great evening out. Allan and his wife prepare such delicious food and it’s always so fresh. The wait staff is attentive and friendly and the prices are reasonable. We always enjoy bringing our family here. The lazy Susan on the tables keep the food moving and conversations flowing.
I have no idea about the best Chinese restaurant. If you said it’s fusion, maybe.
This is probably the worst Chinese food i have ever eaten. Almond chicken has no almonds and some dry powder in top. House fried rice was almost a quarter mushrooms. 12 bucks for delivery plus a tip. The food was way over priced for the quality. 22.95 for house rice and 22.95 for house noodles is a bit ridiculous for this kinda food. At that price I was expecting some decent quality would not recommend
Owner is amazing! Great staff, awesome food! Love their specialty options. If you like a bit of heat, try their General Tong’s Chicken. I’ve eaten here many different times (Dine in, take out, and delivery). Food is hot and fresh!
I have been coming to Kiki Gardens for nearly 40 years. In all my time, dining at Kiki Gardens and enjoying their delectable Chinese food, I do not believe there has been a change of ownership other than that of retirement. The elderly Chinese cook is amazingly talented, as is the other 4 chefs they have. Their food is always very delicious. I am sad to see they could not re-open their smorgasboard offering since covid 19. Government health rules have definitely ruined the enjoyment of patrons at more than one restaurant. This, however, has not deterred from the delicious flavor of their dishes on their menu. The smorgasboard then was the best I have ever eaten. . . anywhere. Nowdays, they also have a very scrumptious and reasonably priced lunch special! 💥 Come in for lunch or a flavorful Chinese dinner and say hello to Sheryl and the talented friendly staff! 😊
Always good food and service.
We are very disappointed in the food at this restaurant. It was very tasteless. Pancake batter on the shrimp. Dry garlic pork was so hard cant chew, sweet sour chicken was very tasteless, and waitress attitude was poor.
Give this chinese restaurant a 5 star, absolutely the best ! never have been dissatisfied
My go to place for Chinese food in Vernon
Egg roll was mushy inside. Chicken chow nein was good. Wouldnt go back.
Had dinner here .. excellent food and service... Chris was amazing she is professional and entertaining... Cost was very competitive to other restaurants... Definitely be back again and recommend to others...
Amazing service and yummy food
Ordered takeout won ton soup today. It was $20+ for 2. Not even wor won ton. It was mediocure. Nothing special. We are from out of town but thought it was pricy compared to home. To be fair its the only thing we tried. Ive been visiting Kiki gardens for over 30 years and was disappointed. Sorry guys.
They are so very kind and the food is absolutely amazing would definitely recamend to anyone!
Very good chinese food.
Kiwi garden easily helped us with our gluten and corn allergies and delivered some of the best food to our table. Huge portions. So yummy.
We went Sunday for the buffet. Dinner was great, the restaurant was packed (Mothers Day) and as a result service suffered. I ordered a takeout dinner for 1 for my dad who was at home. Sadly it was very disappointing, mostly rice.
We ordered the dinner for 6 for delivery and it arrived on time fresh and hot! The food was outstanding. We had a gluten free rice chow mien option. The driver was super polite and friendly. Highly recommend. Food : 5/5 |
Great food wonderful staff.
Makes some people sick. Vegetarian options: No Food : 1/5 |
I love the lunch specials! Makes it affordable when working downtown! Just really we could have buffets again, like Kelowna!
Have been here a few times... our new go-to for Chinese food in Vernon now ... service and owners are always great ... so is the food Kid-friendliness: Our kids from 4 to 12 very kid friendly thankfully the kids werent crazy and out of hand haha
My go to takeout spot for Chinese food in Vernon. Love the four item lunch specials! Vegetarian options: I love their vegetable dishes.
Great food, not spicy though
Great food and great owners. Would recommend the food here to everyone. Great prices as well!!!
Best flavors, friendly staff, warm atmosphere. I love this place! Still the best in town! Go & Enjoy.
we had a large group of family and they accommodated us all we had a wonderful time
Easily the best Chinese food in Vernon. Our go-to for the last 20+ years.
Food was perfect and service excellent
The food and service are good, but I miss the buffet.
Better than Mr Mikes. Kid-friendliness: Am not a kid.
One of a lVernons long time running Chinese food restaurant, was my moms favorite Chinese restaurants
Food was great and the service was outstanding!!
Great food and excellent service
Decided on a bowl of wonton soup Not war won ton 17.80 three pieces of pork Ten wonton A couple of veg Not even that good Never again

good food affordable prices
Great affordable lunch special
Ordered for the first time tonight after moving here. Three dishes and two soups for a STEEP $100. I expected a feast when I heard the total...I was utterly disappointed. Two servings of wonton soup for $20? Sweet and sour pork for $18 that tasted absolutely terrible. Just a boatload of sugary sortof orange sortof brow sauce.Nothing sour about it. Awful after-taste. Everything else was incredibly bland And portions were tiny. Containers werent even full. I will never return here. The owner should be ashamed to call that food. I want my money back, thief.
I had the lunch special (a little bit of chicken chow mein, almond chicken, and sweet and sour chicken), and it was unfortunately the blandest, most disappointing American/Canadian-Chinese Ive ever eaten. The chicken in each selection seemed unseasoned and tasteless, the noodles stone cold, almost no sweetness or sourness or almond flavor. Even the oil was cold and bland, somehow. The waitress deserved the foods share of the bill, because she was trying and the food had given up. Wish I had gone back to Sudas next door instead, with their generous servings and flavor. Here, it almost seems like portions, seasoning (forget salt, let alone wondrous MSG), and care have all been aggressively cut to bring up a bottom line.
Very nice food here Vegetarian options: Nice place Food : 5/5 |
Since the pandemic THIS has become my familys favourite restaurant for Chinese Food. The food tastes exceptional. Cant get enough of it. Also doesnt appear to be as greasy or overly seasoned with MSG as some places. Highly recommend their food. You wont be disappointed
Dinner for twelve and not a single mistake. Food was served hot an delicious. Our waitress was incredible. 100 % recommend Kiki Gardens
the kindest people!
We had a family gathering and the food was amazing. Good prices and very fast service. Our server Cheryl was amazing Overall it was a really great experience. Food
Chow mein very low on flavour, and I was unimpressed with the few other things I ordered. (Im not comparing this to what is available in Vernon, because I havent been to other Chinese restaurants in Vernon)
Love the food here!
always delicious!
Food is so so
I used to come here a lot as a child and had good memories of it, so visited again today. Wow, time has not been kind. I ordered a lunch combo for one with chow mein, almond chicken and beef chop suey. None of it had any flavour at all, the food was only luke-warm and was even cold in some places, and everything was coated in what seemed like clear gelatin rather than sauce. Never in my life have I gone to a Chinese food restaurant before and felt the need to salt my food. The noodles were mushy. The vegetables were mushy. The chicken was dry. I m not sure any of the ingredients have ever even heard fairy tales about seasoning. I could barely eat any of it and it cost me thirty dollars for the meal and a flat, watered down fountain Pepsi. I m never going here again, and you should probably try someplace else, too. On the plus side, the waitress was friendly and attentive. I m sorry, nice waitress. The food was unforgivably bad.
No more smorgasbord but, for the same price I get more than I would have eaten if it were still going. Good food, quick service.
Worst Chinese food I have ever had. The noodles are starchy and bland, the pork was dry and chewy, the chop suey was ok but the veggies a bit overcooked. Oh, & $3 for spring rolls that looked and tasted like they came from frozen no name! Never going back.
Have been dining here since the 70s Just had the worst meal ever ...the noodles were better in barkerville on the last day of season lack of response from staff employees was nonexistent wont be back
No buffet
Really good place and great service but the food was too hard for me, I got the ginger beef with rice.
Ordered for the first time last night. 3 star is too high, but 2 felt too low. Really deserved like 2.5 So I ordered 1.5 hours before close. Meaning I knew this wouldnt be the freshest time to order. I accept that. Everything was pretty bland at best. Nothing gross or bad tasting. Just bland. Also no veggie content in the Shanghai noodles, no sauce and like 3 shaved pieces of beef. We had Wonton soup, spring rolls (no sauce), sweet and sour pork, Shanghai noodles and chicken fried rice. Just disappointed for $110.00
Good service. Prices better than some. Unfortunately flavour was quite non-existent (however can add sauce)... Biggest disappointment was Chop Suey and Chow Mein. Both were sopping wet, and not pan/wok fried at all. No oil, no crispness, vegebles were nearly raw (the only crispy part but for the wrong reasons).
Great food but I can t believe their price increase!!! I know everything has went up, but their prices are up way more than any other restaurant I ve seen and the portion size is down
Very disappointed. Spent almost $100 and it was not good. The egg roll was mushy on the inside, the chow mein noodles were mushy and flavor-less, the general tongs was at least not mushy, but was way too salty and hard like it had been sitting for a long time. The house fried rice tasted like it had also been sitting a long time, and the crab puffs were the only thing that were ok. Wont be going back. I dont understand charging someone that much money for food if its not going to be fresh and cooked properly.
I don t know if they serve delivery food different than eat in. I ordered chicken chow main it was like glue. Also ordered almond chicken it was horrible so dry and rubbery. The dry garlic ribs I m sure had been frozen for years. I ll never go there again
One of the best places in Vernon they have good quality food and pretty decent prices I will always recommend kiki gardens
I ve only had takeout from here, but it s been consistently great. Service is friendly and helpful. I really appreciate that they are able to accommodate a vegetarian diet. Recently the takeout we had delivered was quick, fresh and saved the night at the last minute.
Ordered take out, when I got home found out my order was wrong, didnt want to drive back as it was an inconvenience.
With no buffet available, we ordered combos. Absolutely the best Chinese food weve had in years. Fresh, well prepared and tasty. Congrats to Al, Judy and staff. Amazing
Best Chinese in town. Friendly staff.
The wonton soup was incredible! The pork slices in it were meh can do without those but still much love on the wonton Chicken chow mein was gross/tasted off Salt and pepper squid was alright Table was sticky... The coffee was great the server was so pleasant
The food was delicious! Some of the best Chinese food Ive had!
I grew up going to kiki gardens!! I remember it before it had its expansion! Love their food, and the staff is always friendly.
I was actually quite impressed with Kiki Gardens, the service was great. Food was reasonably good with a few dishes very good. I really liked the Singapore Noodles, Lemon chicken and the General Tongs Chicken. I also appreciated the portion sizes which are quite large and allowed for leftovers for another full meal. I recommend and will go back to try some other dishes as well
Truly GROSS takeout!! Gelatenous mess of broken up pcs of over cooked ichiban in a tasteless sauce filled the container with a few pcs of dried up unchewable pcs of pork with NO sweet and sour sauce ....indescribably GROSS and only good for the garbage...ugh....
One of the most consistent restaurants in town. I always know what I am getting and it never disappoints. Great value for your money as portion sizes are huge.
Very good.
Love the food....It is so fresh and not greasy at all. Its going to be our # 1 restaurant to take family and friends. The service is great too!!!
Food , service ànd price very good but they no longer have their buffet due to covid.
Had our family from out of town and ordered for our Uncle s 90 th birthday .They said it was the best Chinese food ever- Thankyou , you did us proud!
Great food. Did take out.
No longer great food. Price up $5.00 for buffet and no dim sum.
Great buffet
good food, good variety
Worst experience ,we have been here before but not good anymore. Worst food and the staff where rude.
Been going there for years always good food and wonderful staff
Great food, best in Vernon by far
We are on vacation in Vernon, thought we d try some high end Chinese cuisine so we searched google for Chinese food and found Kiki Gardens was in the first 3 picks. We wanted good food so looked for a more expensive menu and again Kiki Garden was right at the top. We found parking and proceeded in and was greeted by very friendly staff, much to our disgust that was the only good part about the whole experience. Our young server was amazing but the 3 dishes we ordered were some of the worst food I ve ever tasted, not just Asian food but all eats. We had ginger beef, sooo hard we couldn t enjoy the greasy tasteless sauce with soggy veggies. Next was the Bbq pork fried rice, tasteless, dry and greasy, not sure how you can screw up fried rice but they did an amazing job. Finally, thank god, sesame chicken was the best of the 3 dishes but wait for it....again over cooked so the chicken was chewy but had a decent taste. And for $65 at our local restaurant we would get 5-6 dishes of incredible, tender and tastefully prepared food with days of tasty reheat-able leftovers, for the price you d think 3 dishes would fill up 2 adults but....nooooo! On our way out we made sure to tip our server as none of this was her fault so I tipped based on her service and not the worst food to ever touch my lips. Hope this helps you make your next choice for Chinese eat in or take out in Vernon.
The best Chinese food around great gluten free options. Have always enjoyed it everytime I go.
Had friends in from out of town and they wanted Chinese so i looked at reviews and went there. Great selection from Calamari to mussels to tofu and a nice said and dessert bar. Great service and the owner came over to talk to us. Highly recommend.
Hmmm - I have enjoyed their top notch buffet in past but to be honest, the current menu-only offerings are not the same quality. Prices are reasonable, volumes of food and great service.
Great food and service.
Best in Vernon.
Great food
We are on vacation in Vernon, thought we d try some high end Chinese cuisine so we searched google for Chinese food and found Kiki Gardens it was the first 3 picks. We got there and I asked for a table for 2 she didnt even seat us she said any table with hand sanitizerso we had to find our own seat.. my fiancee and I ordered off the dinner for one menu she got A,C,G A was chicken Chow main C was sweet and sour pork G was sweet and sour chicken the Chow main tasted like cleaner the pork and chicken where cold to the touch and I got B,A,G B was BBQ beef rice it was cold it wasnt even steaming like rice should of been and my Chow main also tasted like cleaner my sweet and sour chicken was also cold it we barley ate we asked for the check and the waiter asked what was wrong with it I said the foods cold and the Chow main tasted like cleaner SHE LITERALLY SAID WHATEVER SHE DIDNT EVEN OFFER TO REPLACE IT THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST RESTAURANT IN TYE WORLD THEY NEED A WAKE UP CALL....
Love there food
Worst bbq pork ever. Refrigerator cold.
Amazing service as we had the buffet which delivered dishes of what we asked for delivered to the table. Our server was quick and efficient but above all, polite and friendly. Nice to leave the stress behind for a lovely dinner.
Terrible food and high prices. $30 more than other Chinese food in area for same order. Rude service when I went in to pick up my order. Food was cold sitting beside the cash register. Every person eating it said it was worst Chinese food in Vernon.
Great food, great service! Atmosphere is perfect.
Great
nice buffet.not all deep fried
Great food and friendly service
They really knocked it out of the park on my last order
It was good. I enjoyed it.
The vegetables were the best part. Had to throw out the rest. Waste of money

First time there great Chinese food
A good place to eat Chinese
Awesome Chinese food
My favorite restaurant
Love that they dont use MSG! Im allergic so cant eat Chinese food anywhere else. Food is pretty good.
Food was super fresh, excellent desert selection
buffet
I ve been in a lot of mandarin speaking tour groups (so a lot of Chinese buffets over Can and US) and this place is one of the best! The food is better than than those that I d order for $20 per dish at fancy Chinese restaurants in Vancouver. The flavour is genuine so each dish tasted unique and delicious. I ate a lot even though the tour group already ate another Chinese buffet that day.
The best smorg in Vernon. It is the place I want to celebrate my birthday and often share with out of town guests. We often have our grandchildren with us. They are always welcome. The space is bright and open and staff always helpful and cheery.
First time will be my last time, just horrible.
Best in town?
Worst food ever tasted like left over food not even warm food. Almond chicken like rubber. Will be my last time.
Great service but food was real disappointment
Awesome really good food
Amazing food excellent service
The food was pretty bad. It tasted like it was just warmed in a microwave. Wont go again
Best Chinese food I have had in Vernon. I love the Singapore noodles, they are soft noodles that come with a good amount of shrimp mixed in. A must try for anyone not afraid of seafood in their Chinese food.
Best Chinese food in town
Great variety and tasty food. Quiet restaurant with large capacity.
Excellent food
Kiki Gardens was the first restaurant I went to as a very young child just able to eat solid foods! My mother ate her way through two pregnancies there, and weve been going as a family for many years since. Over the years weve seen Kiki Gardens change hands a few times, and I must say that the newest owner (Judy) and her staff are by far the very best! Our family (immediate and extended) visit Kiki for nearly every special occasion. The food is always fresh, hot, and delicious! And weve always had a great experience with the staff and service. Thank you, Judy, for making Kiki Gardens a great place for families to gather and enjoy fabulous Chinese food at an excellent price!
Food good
The food is amazing and the service is great. I dont l know why people wouldnt like it.
Service was poor Food was cold Very disappointing!
Food very tasty. Hot as should be.
Good Chinese food buffet. Try the ginger pork!
