PAITO IS VERY NICE, THEY WERE SHORT STAFFED SO SERVICE WAS LACKING. WE RECEIVED THE APPY AFTER THE FOOD. WNE GLASS HAD OLD LIPSTICK ON IT. PASTA WAS BLAND, TATER TOTS SERVED WITH FISH TACOS WERE COLD AND UNDER COOKED. FRIES WERE SO OVER COOKED THEY SHATTERED WHEN BIT. NOT THE FIRST TIME WE HAVE HAD THIS EXPERIENCE AT THIS LOCATION. PROBABLY NOT GOING BACK.

A new favourite of mine. Tasty food and a fun atmosphere. Great specials as well so you can save a few bucks on a meal and then dump those dollars in a slot machine! LOL

One of the better places to go for a drink, wings, food in Vernon. Value wise and quality wise. Would go back and spend my money there again! I came back and theres no wing Wednesday! Wednesday is pasta day. The ultimate Mac and Cheese was much tastier than expected though. Wings are on Thursday, who does that?!? Still good food and live music on Wednesday was pretty happy hour is great!

Went to Match after the Viper game tonight. Took advantage of the burger&beer coupon. Was very happy. Service was great. Our server Savannah was excellent. Will definitely be back. Burger was excellent. Definitely a go to anytime. Thanks for making our evening so enjoyable.

I give them one star cause the food is good but completely overshadowed by the bad service 10/10 times This is the most notoriously terrible place for service I ve ever been too. As someone who served, it s clear it s from a management and training point that this is an issue. Never experienced such bad service every time so consistently

Must have been an off day. Heard good things but had the worst service to date in this town. My Margherita pizza was sitting g I a half inch of pesto oil and she resisted/argued taking it back to the kitchen. Also she was short with the 6 person table we had. Walked away while one was speaking directly to her. Im personally not going back. Nothing wrong with the restaurant layout or anybody elses meals. I got the short straw.

Went for a birthday dinner. The apples were fantastic, the pizza superb! The main dishes were top notch. I would go back in a heart beat.

Had the fish & chips the fish or dough was under cooked it was mushy at the bottom but crispy on top. Had 1 full fish didnt eat the second due to the first fish being mushy but the second one had alot of bones didnt bother me but can imagine would bother other guests. However the following day got sick because of the fish Wait time for the whole table was around 30 minutes.

I would not recommend eating here. I had the fish and chips. The fries were very overcooked, the fish was ok. My friend ordered yam fries and they were also very overcooked. Another friend ordered lemonade. The fresh lemon segment that was in the drink must have been chopped on a cutting board that had been used to chop garlic, so the lemonade had a garlic flavour

The atmosphere was good. Unfortunately we do not feel a good service, they did not fully apply the value of our promotional coupons. We had two for $16 each, for a total of $32. Initially they took $6 off our bill and when we made the claim they finally applied $16. Additionally, the meat on the burger was somewhat burnt. Chicken wings were very good.

Match eatery was very good. I had a burger and it was very tasty and hot! The service was also good and drinks showed up fast, the music was at a right sound level and TVs were placed at good angles, great time, I will return

My wife and I were seated at a table 3 feet from where the waitresses were dumping garbage into a can There were waiters going by with items above our heads while we were trying to eat. This was a shocking place to seat anyone and as a result our evening was ruined.We spoke to our waitress about the table and she said they dont normally put a table there??? Food was average and overall a terrible experience!!

Had lunch today - enjoyed the chicken green goddess burger- excellent food- Server Brianna, excellent from start to finish. Friend enjoyed the avocado toast with eggs from the brunch menu. A enjoyable lunch! Parking: Room for many.

I had just made reservations for my daughters birthday on the 22...nice young lady that set it up...I then ordered dinner, at 4:00, I finally left at 4:45 with no coffee refill offer nor did I get asked if I wanted a beverage, and i still had no meal!! .I like wine with meal... I am also a chef/ etc...very poor service, thinking of canceling my reservation and go somewhere, where you actually get served. Not impressed at all....

Worst food I ve ever had all the food tasted flavourless very gross I got the waffles and chicken and it had no flavour. The coffee tasted extremely burnt and the shaft drink I got was the worst shaft I ve ever had. Our servers and host was nice. But brunch was very bad

Me and a girlfriend went to match for some appy s and drinks. Our server was so unbelievably rude She found it very offensive when we told her that we weren t sure if we were going to go back to the casino.. I really enjoy the Match in Kelowna so thought I d give the Vernon one a second chance safe to say I will not be back. On my way out I told the bartender what had happened and she told me it s not her problem and she ll grab a manager also very rude. On a positive note the casino staff were very pleasant.

Great place to watch the game or catch a live band on the weekends.

Not that great. Ordered a Caesar salad with no protein, comes out loaded with bacon bits. Server says yes I checked no meat. Bacon is meat. Server replies oh you meant no meat at all. Calamari was salty. The place had a live band but was fairly quiet in patrons. I dont feel the team there feels committed in providing a good experience as their reply in review say.

Came here with a family of 14. Food was ok..... Thats it.. ok.... 2 of the meals, we asked for specific omissions due to allergies. They ignored or forgot to put in our request. They did fix the mistakes, but it took nearly 30 mins to bring out the new meals, by which time the rest of the table had eaten. No offer of financial discount, and an automatic 18% gratuity added. Sorry, but there are too many choices in Vernon to have an I Dont Care attitude.

Smash burger needs a more substantial bun. The potato bun is not robust enough to hold the double patties. But very tasty. Our server, Stephanie is just outstanding. 6 stars for service!

Have been there a few times with golf group. The lounge is quieter, but high pub chairs are uncomfortable. Dining room is more comfortable (it was too inclimate to try the patio). Overall the background music is intrusive hindering conversation and diminishing the ambiance. We were fortunate to have Stephanie look after us on all our visits as her friendly, outgoing humor and caring service made us welcome and comfortable. The daily specials are good value. However, the regular menu items are on the high side. The fish and chips are very good with large dense piece of fish. The burger selection is varied with different toppings, however, the special sauce is abundant, thus overpowering any flavor from the burger or toppings. The dirty fries are a good take on poutine. The Mango chicken wings are the best flavor and presentation, although the wings were small and not meaty. Drink selection is fairly extensive. They do a good job to accommodate groups and there is ample free parking.

waitress forgot out food it came out not even warm. we ate it as we didnt want to wait 45 min again even though we were the only other couple in the restaurant when we arrived. we mentioned it to her after as we didnt see her during the meal. she never said a word. ( and I wasnt being angry about it)

Friendly and quick service, but the food was sub par.

First, we were there a couple weeks ago and the service was awesome, food was great so we mentioned to the waitress that we would come back for my birthday and she suggested we should make a reservation, which we did. We showed up at our reserved time, which happened to be grey cup. At our arrival we were told they were full and had no reservation for us. We told them that we had clearly made a reservation and so she got her manager. The manager came over and told us that she called us three times and that we should check our phone. We asked what number she called and as she s looking through the book she says oh I don t have a number for you. And then she basically turned around and said sorry have a good birthday and walked away with a very abrupt attitude. I was not happy with that and I went up to her and said I m sorry, but you messed up, not me and then she argued back at me again saying we called you and I said no, you clearly did not call and you even admitted you didn t take a phone number. The apology was given in a very rude manner (the whole conversation was RUDE). She knew they screwed up and just wanted to get us out the door. I ll admit, I was not polite back to her after she was so abrupt and rude with me. no where in the conversation did she actually admit that they had made a mistake. Mistakes happen and I can appreciate that. all she had to do was make a sincere apology, maybe offer us a $10 gift card for a free drink or something and we would ve been quite happy to accept that. But there was absolutely no offer of compensation, and the apology was a joke. We went from a great experience to one that makes me want to never go back.

The worst place ever! Unpleasant staff! .the red stools/ chairs peeling off to bare fabric -maybe a sanitary issue ? Wound never recommend this place to anyone cancelled it as an option for a Christmas function . Very disappointed !!

We ordered food through Skip-the-Dishes and it was absolutely awful experience. Meat in our beef burgers was fried way too much. It was black and bitter. The burgers and fries were tasteless like they used no salt at all. We were extremely disappointed with our dinner today. Do not recommend!!!

Had a great date night at match eatery. We attended the Dine out Vernon event. We got a fabulous three-course meal for $20 each. Food was flavorful. Nice and hot. Our service was excellent. We appreciated the television volume was down low so we could actually hear ourselves when we talked. Restaurant was very busy so I recommend making a reservation. Staff did a great job on Covid protocols

Tried their mixed greens salad with goat cheese, pumpkin seeds, strawberry slices, raddish slices tossed in their champagne reduction dressing & added a skewer of garlic butter shrimp. A friend let me try her cheese burger & that was also top notch! Although it was a bit loud, it was still a nice environment. Id like to try their seasonal menu when I come back!

Convenient location, fun atmosphere and a good server. Unfortunately, my food was not that great. I ordered the Monday special (fish and chips) the coleslaw with it was oversalted and room temperature, and the fries were undercooked and not hot enough. Fish was fine but a small portion. Probably wont be back but this is just my experience, have seen many glowing reviews. Could be I was just unlucky.

Very disappointed in the service we received yesterday. I was told I was wrong about my food being wrong when it arrived. The same food was brought back to my table after being taken away I am not a picky person but when you ask for no sauerkraut and it comes covered in it, I will complain. Then to be told I am wrong it was just onions was absolutely ridiculous. Sauerkraut has a distinct taste, there is no mistaking that for onions. I was given $5 bucks off my $90 dinner. We will not return.

The food, ambiance and live music on Fridays and Saturday are a great reason you should come to match. Its the staff thou that make this one of the best restaurants in vernon :) from that superstar behind the bar Jennifer who always makes the best drinks, kaylyns smile, the unbelievable service from the servers like that Jewel jewely, Beth, vivek, Alicia, Megan, Steph and the rest of the team. They will treat you right, and with the most infections smiles well they serve you :D A MUST to stop by if your in town 100%

VIVEK is THE most amazing waitperson EVER!!! The food is great, but VIVEK makes the experience so much more memorable!

This is tough to do, the food was really good, I mean, REALLY good! Our server was great, but was pulled from our table to fill in for an emergency at the bar. We sat unattended for over 35mins before we flagged down a manager, who wound up comping us some. We do understand that things happen, emergencies, and accidents, but for no one to ask if we needed anything. Even the manager walked passed us several times. She did apologize profusely, and took care of us.

I used to come here all the time for UFC events. I came here for the first time in 5 years for trivia a couple days ago. Cons: 1) The Burger and a beer deal doesnt apply to veggie burgers. Its the only restaurant on the planet where they dont count a veggie burger as a burger. 2) It can take a long time to get seated or get service unless you are seated at the front of the bar. 3) They changed their nachos a few years ago which greatly reduced the quality. That was the only decent veggie option on the menu. I always eat dinner before coming here ever since. Pros: 1) Soda refills are free. 2) Great venue for trivia (if there arent too many teams). 3) Lots of TVs to watch sports. 4) The most comfortable outdoor seating when its cold weather. 5) Its connected to the casino 6) Decent alcohol drink specials. Vegetarian options: Not ideal for vegetarians. I would have a burger and a beer coupon a couple times but it wouldnt apply to a veggie burger. Its the only restaurant in my life where veggie burgers are separated from meat burger combos.

Went for a happy hour burger before an event. Hostess was not very friendly, when she approached us she asked where we round like to sit...I said at a table,(as opposed to a booth) she rolled her eyes and said I meant inside or outside. Also ordered a $5.00 happy hour burger.....was quite surprised by the size of it...was like a slider...it would have fit in the palm of my hand....so I would not say its a Burger..although it was tasty.

This post is long overdue!!! We have been coming to Match for the last several UFC events, shown on there many TVs (& will continue!) We have had Vivek each time. We have only amazing things to say about him. He is so personable; takes the time to remember our names our drinks, so hilarious. Amazing human. Love this place they have a great happy hour and their food menu is yummy. Love all the TVs for sports nights and live entertainment is a great way to start off a weekend. Not to mention its attached to the casino. One of our favorite spots in Vernon.

Very very good food. They are a bit over priced for drinks but its just like any restaurant attached to a casino. They were low staffed when we went so the service wasnt the greatest.

Love Match! They have revised their menu with some new items. Manager informed us when we sat that they had low staffing levels but if we needed anything to let her know. We were served by a few different people, but good for those girls for showing up to work. Don t like that you can t take a drink to Casino, but they said that might change in near future.

Amazing beef dip

Your website shouldnt state takeout or delivery if you do not do it. I called a few weeks back to see if i could order takeout was told they dont do that. I was spoke to very rudely by whoever answered the phone. Today i check the website still says takeout and delivery so I thought cool ill order some food and everything on the menu is sold out

In town for one night. Stopped by to see the Canucks game. Zach was incredible. Despite being really really busy, we had first class service.

We went with friends for happy hour recently. We had great appies and drinks, very reasonably priced and our server Dawn was over the top attentive and professional. Its been a while since we went but well be back for sure!

Matches was amazing, Breanna was our server and she was definitely the BEST. She made sure we were having a great time while her recommendations on the Wayne Gretzky wine were bang on. Absolutely have a blast every time I go to this place with my friends. Stellar service, will certainly be going for the foreseeable future. Our service from Kendra, Tori and Sandeep is exceptional. Definitely recommend if you haven t tried the burgers to do so.

This place used to be great with good food and good service. Now this place has dive food and it doesnt seem like the old good staff are there anymore, sad!

Terrible service, food is alright. My last experience here was by far the worst. a few months ago 3 of us came in around 9pm and the hostess wasnt sure if the kitchen was still open or not. Once she had determined that yes, the kitchen was still open, we were seated and told that our server would be by to take our drink order. That took about 20 minutes, once we received our drinks we waited another 20 minutes or so before we decided that we had to flag someone down. The server that we waved over was very apologetic and said he would be right back to take our order. He never came back. We finally caught the attention of another server and were told that he had gone home for the night. We were so fed up that we asked for our bill which consisted of 1 beer, 1 glass of wine and a water, after about 15 minutes we finally received our bill, payed and left. We will certainly not be returning to this location ever again. (it was not a busy night, we were one of maybe 5 or 6 tables in the entire restaurant)

In town for a hockey tournament. Tried to go for dinner with 8 adults and like 10 kids but the only entrance was through the casino...and kids cant go through casino. WTF ??? How the hell does that work...if you dont allow kids dont have a kids menu.

Every time my husband and I have been to Match, it has been fabulous! We went again tonight, took our friend who had never been, and he loved it too!! Our server Shannon was brilliant! Bright, happy and cheerful, plus the food was delicious! 100% yet again Match! Well done!!

Came here and had a really awful experience with one of the bartenders here but decided to give it another chance, and Chelsea was absolutely fantastic! Definitely a redemption, and will absolutely keep coming back!

I had a terrible time sitting at the bar the last time I came. The bartender was extremely rude and talked negatively about her coworkers and some of the customers including some of my friends that were at the bar. She turned our expirence watching the ufc fight with Anthony Smith and Jon Jones on March 2nd into a terrible evening. We decided we wouldn t be going to Match again until this evening when we heard there was a live band of playing with nothing else going on in Vernon for our Friday night. It was then we decided to Match a second chance and we met Chelsea. What an AMAZING waitress. I ve been a waitress myself and I ve been to a lot of establishments and she made us reconsider our evaluation of The Match eatery and public house. She was quick and such a lovely person to have serving on our table. She put smiles on our face and was such a great presence within the lounge. I will absolutely be coming back if I can obtain the same service she provided. Definitely sit in Chelsea s section if you have the choice. Best waitress in town.

The food is pretty darn good....

wow, usually good. we got there at 545 pm before happy hour ended as i wanted some stuff off of that menu. So we head outside to patio. we sat and waited and waited!!! 20 min go by and NO waitress. So we head inside and sit at a dirty table. We waited and waited again. now others in restaurant are seeing this and commenting to us. So they clear table and we wait more! Finally waitress comes so told waitress we wanted happy hour cause we were there 15 min before it ended. She got manager. Its now 615. He apologized and said he will get what we want. He did and honored the happy hour price. WOW again. they need to get staff that stays. Turn over seems high. The long term ones are great.

Its hit or miss here. Ive had tons of good and bad experiences here. Seems to be about even! The staff sometimes ignores you and socializes, super unprofessional in my opinion, although the food is super good though!

Most wack dining experience ive ever had would give no stars watress took our orders then took mine like 3 times when my friends food was done they told me they didnt have what i wanted we opted to get their food to go and i would eat else where she then tried to charge us for the food i never got when we asked about it she then tried to take a drink off instead of the food and then tried to move the food to the bottom of the bill instead of deleting it not sure if she was on drugs or what...

Staff is pleasant but the only time theyve gotten my order correct it had so much hair on it that it should have come with a razer, will not be returning

We got there it was a nice building so we got a outside table and ordered our food and drinks and the waitress got a little personal with her stories and spent 15 minutes taking about her getting pulled over etc when we were trying to have a nice time and when she finally finished we got our food and it was mediocre the pizza was soggy and greasy the burger was cut in half inside the buns, we ordered some drinks and there was an ice block in my drink and they got our other drink order completely wrong and when we asked for the bill we waited for 20 minutes before we finally walked in and paid at the till I would not recommend this place to anyone on vacation in the area

Bar stools are comfy and the TV screens are the right height.

It was very busy when we went but the wait time was very good considering my waitress was in a rush to keep up. She apologized for the wait times several times and even gave me a discount because of it despite me saying that I was happy with the damping of time taken. The only issue I had was that my drink was empty for most of my meal and several staff walked past me as I was sitting next to the liquor service station. Overall, will definitely return of I decide to go to Vernon for another date night.

Honestly, I love the food at Match and I have for a long time, but the service since restaffing after the strike is horrendous (save for Matt, he was great). We waited 25 minutes just for a server to take drink orders. Then another 20 for the drinks and no refills. The restaurant wasnt even half seated and the person serving us was not even serving staff. The staff constantly look distraught, and we overheard a bartender blatantly ask a server is this glass dirty?; if you have to ask, just wash it. Waited 45 minutes for food and watched other tables who sat after us get theirs first. Absolute waste of time.

By far the worst dining experience I have ever had. Took forever for drink orders to be taken then took forever to receive said drinks. One meal was completely forgotten and what wasn t forgotten was cold. I will never go to a match restaurant again.

The DJ on Saturday nights is so good!!!! He tried his best to play all of our favorited and actually has mixing skill! Were team match ! Great food also Thanks for giving us a more upscale place to dance in vernon !

Came in tonight during a snow storm. Food was excellent our server Julie was great even though she was new. Went to casino after for some entertainment band was splendid

We went here for a work Christmas party and it was a poor experience right from the start. It took 4 people and roughly 20 minutes to locate our reservation and get us a seat. The 5 of us were seated while we waited for the remaining 3 people to arrive. Upon the arrival of the rest of our party we ordered drinks and waited roughly 25 minutes from the time we ordered to the last drink arriving, 2 drinks were missed on the order but after asking again, they arrived shortly. Food came up after a short wait but 4 items were missing, 1 meal was super overcooked (verging on burnt) and one was the wrong thing all together. One of the servers was great and attentive when she came around, but very forgetful. The other server that was coming by our table was rather rude, seemed annoyed by our presence and was quite argumentative. Wont be returning any time soon.
