We love this restaurant. We usually get the Cascadia salad, but have ordered the stuffed mushrooms and the burgers. The food and staff are great.

I tried the quesadilla for the first time, Kaitlin was my server, she did great, definitely coming back. The music wasnt good tho.

We have been in a few times and had Zoey as our server. she was friendly, and even though she was very busy, she kept us updated on our order and remained professional and calm. the food was great too! She suggested the Stuffed Shrooms. So good! We will be back. Parking: Lots of parking and no meters.

Food was ok but service was nonexistent. No one came by to see how our food through the entire dinner. We had to ask to settle our tab which still.toom forever to do. We were a large group. Took like 30 mins to for a server to come and take our order. understandable as it was a sunday evening and probably short on staff. Food was great! Though 2 of my friends plate was missing a steak. 1 got hers after everyone was done eating, my other friend did not get it after waiting so long so he just asked to cancel it.

Last time, about 4 weeks ago, chicken was under cooked. Yesterday it was burnt black and very dry. Service yesterday was sub par. Restaurant was very quiet and it still took 25 minutes to get our salads. Won t be in any hurry to try again. Food

Terrible service, we were visiting Vernon from Kelowna, and we stop by to have dinner in this place for the first time. And at our arrival the host told us that we needed reservation and they don t give tables to walk ins. The restaurant was practically empty, and still they denied giving us service.

Great food, I had quesadillas from the happy hour menu & the waiter asked if I wanted fries or salad. I assumed it came with a side but when I got the bill was charged $7.99 for the salad. It was really good tho. My husband had fish n chips, food was great, his only complaint was the paper they serve it on. It tore, was soggy & messy & he ate a bit of it.

Kids easily killed the wait time with board games. Food and service was excellent, we had ribs, steak and various kids menu items. The churros was crowning the experience. Recommended!

I ordered the fish and chips, with poutine, and when I got it the fish was dry and hard, I asked the waitress if she could get me some different fish, she went to the kitchen and came back a couple of minutes later and explained to me that all the fish was garbage. I told she probably should have said that in the beginning. So I got some pasta with shrimp and got it to go. And that was my birthday supper. There were others at our table who were not happy with their meals either. We had a table of 10. That was October 8th in Vernon. I felt that the waitress was alright, maybe overwhelmed at times, but alright. I didnt look at the bill cause the company took us out for my birthday. I hope that we didnt get charged for the fish and chops. That was the first time Ive ever had a bad meal at Mr. Mikes. Ive been to many different locations across alberta and Bc.

Overall all of our food was very good (appys / dinner). If there was any criticism it would be regarding pricing and the use of canned mushrooms for the steak add on. I do understand that everything in today s world is expensive, but when compared to higher end steak style restaurants, We felt it to be more expensive than expected from this style of restaurant. Would this stop me from going back no. I would not hesitate to dine at this restaurant chain again in the future.

What an amazing place to have a steak dinner

We were seated in the lounge area. Our food arrived 1 1/2 hours after we ordered. Completely dried out from the heat lamps. When I gently mentioned it to the young lady who took our order, she became very snotty with me. I then complained to the manager. He took the cost of the food that was not eatable from our bill. Good thing because we still had to go somewhere else to eat. Very disappointed.

Applied Points to Bill & Manager verbally kept referring to Tip according to the Overall Amount. I let him know in no uncertain terms that I always graciously tip on good service and the new hire gave Excellemt service but I wont be TOLD to Tip !! Then the back-paddling started. The audacity of the Manager - FAIL.

Dear Mr. Mikes, I eat here everything I visit family. Your food is good and tastefull. The service is great. Yesterday we went there andcorded the childs macaroni. $10 for kraft dinner is a little much every other place has homemade Mac and cheese? Your steak and jumbo prawns was good but your pic shows at least 6 prawns, we got 2. For $44 dollars I think you could have put more than 2 prawns on. Probably the last time I will ever go there.

Really good experience at the Vernon location. Bruschetta was one the best Ive ever had. The gaucho style ribeye steak was cooked perfectly. All the family enjoyed their meals and drinks. Service was great and didnt have to wait around or ask for anything.

Absolute worst food EVER Service was horrible, snotty servers, burnt food.

Had given a good review previously but Mr.Mikes on August 16th you were horrible!!! Ordered our appy and dinner and over an hour later food comes, cascadia salad came with no dressing had to ask for it, popcorn shrimp were way overcooked, friend ordered steak that came overcooked and also missing was the side of mushrooms she had ordered and STILL no appy. The appy came when we had almost finished our meals. We didnt get out of there until closing due to all the mistakes they made. And no it wasnt busy because when i walked over to find our waiter there wasnt a single patron on that side. Its gonna be a long while before i step back into this establishment, if I ever do again!!!

Est 3 weeks ago we were sat in the bar side. We watched our male waiter walk by us,for over 30 minutes. No coffee nothing,not even water. And l got up and walked to the bar and l ordered our drinks from there,while our waiter still did nothing.He literally walked by us est 4 times and did NOTHING !!! We then said ...WE ARE OUT OF THERE. I approached our waiter and said to his face We pacifically asked for you to be our waiter and who knew that you were just totally ignore us. Were leaving. He tried to explain it to us why he didnt wait on us. But you know when you dont get a waiter even acknowledging you sitting in a section. You dont want to hear anything else. How unprofessional. Why is he still working there and not even acknowledging customers is beyond me. If we return there HE WILL NEVER WAIT FOR US...EVER !!!! We went back today and my fish n chips were 85 % full of grease n the fries were worse. We will NEVER return.

my husband and i had supper here tonight and the portions were very big . So big we needed to take our leftovers home with us. we had no room left for dessert . Great lobster dip, good steak cooked to perfection.

Went as a treat from my wife for my birthday. Drove from Kelowna as never been to this Mr. Mikes. Service was prompt and cheerful. Appetizers were very delicious. I ordered rib eye medium rare, my wife wanted a medium sirloin. She noticed right away that hers was med rare and mentioned the waitress who delivered. She assured us it was medium. It was very pink throughout. When she left I saw mine was cooked medium, very little pink. Our server came by 10 minutes later, by that time my wife and I had traded steaks as she cannot eat med rare meat. Server was made aware of the issue and she apologized. No offer to fix issue, so we continued to eat each others order. When I order a close to $50 steak as a rare treat, i would hope it prepared the way I want. The sirloin was good, but it was not a ribeye. I did however, get a comped cheesecake for my birthday. Not impressed.

Great food and nice people that work there

I have never been to Mr. Mike. Went for a couple of drinks and snacks, and it was nice. I wouldn t say it s the best because it s a chain and it is overall generic stuff. Not bad after all.

Went in today with a friend and his two kids, the food was exceptional and so was the service, will definitely be back. Probably the best beef dip I have ever had, not dry at all and the bread choice was perfect.

The burger tasted sub par, one of the servers was not very friendly. I think I may have dodged the bullet by not eating the expensive steaks and individual sides that dont come with the meal

I went because the website boasts a great place to watch sports. Got a table right away. Sat down at a table obviously soaking wet from being wiped down, hostess doesnt care. Only sport on t.v was poker. Other t.v. had no volume talkshow with chinese subtitles. Waited about 10 mins no one greeted me or took a drink order so I left. Boston pizza 30 seconds away had my order in and drink In front of me less than 2 minutes while being twice as busy.

Best service and food there is. Brandon was our waiter and it was the best service! Above and beyond all around.

Great experience at Mr. Mikes Vernon. We were served by Brandon, who went above and beyond in making sure we were well looked after. Food was delivered promptly, delicious and hot. He anticipated our every request. Had a great sense of humour as well. A very fun night in the pub!

Rave: Mr Mikes Steakhouse! My best friend & I went to Mr Mikes last night for a celebration dinner. There werent a lot of customers so it made for a perfect atmosphere with great music. The staff was fantastic & the food was amazing!! My best friend & I agreed it was the best steak we had ever had. We even got the head chef to come out so we could thank him & tell him how amazing it was. I told him how it was the best steak I have ever had. I told him how in highschool I wanted to be a chef so I took major steps towards that including being picked for the S.W.E.A.T program where you spend 1 week at a culinary arts college in Vancouver. I told him how it was better than the steak at the Keg on Granville Island in Vancouver, better than the Phoenix Steakhouse & Eclectic Med. I told him how I am a foodie so I know great food. The steak we ordered last night was just their normal steak & not a filet mignon so I cant wait to try their filet mignon. Every part of the meal was amazingly delicious, from the stuffed shrooms for an appie to the double stuffed baked potatoe. The Hollandaise sauce for the lobster & seafood topper for the steak was so yummy!!! We told our waiter & the head chef that Mr Mikes is our new place to go for celebratory meals. This was our third time having food there, our first dinning in. The food has always been great & I am so happy we have Mr Mikes here.

We came before the dinner rush and were sat at table that is obviously in need of some repair. We order bruschetta and quesadillas. And we had to ask for napkins. Then I needed utensils and was brought only a fork. I had to ask for a knife and was told industry standard was just a fork due to them being a steakhouse! I find that incredible! I have had amazing service and atmosphere at the Salmon arm location! So we thought why not try Vernon well after tonight we will never go to the Vernon location ever again! Wow!

Great service and great food. Kaitlin was helpful and very outgoing. The only thing missing was NHL hockey on the tv s. In my opinion this would bring in more business.

We came as an out of town minor hockey group and had 39 in our party. I had initially given an incorrect date and once I realized it they easily accommodated us pretty last minute - even while hosting a few other minor hockey groups in the same day. They also happily added a few last minute orders! Our server was very organized and, although understandably stressed, was joking with us and in great spirits. Even with a party of 39 all of our food came out hot and cooked to perfection. Drinks were fast! Zero complaints. We would happily book a group meal there again in the future and encourage other groups to do so as well!

What a wonderful experience we had today. 6 of us senior friends went out for lunch and Chris was our server. He deserves much recognition from his employer. Will ask to sit in his section again.

Brandan gave fabulous service. The Valentines 3-course meal was fabulous. Very busy night and our steaks were perfectly cooked. The sticky toffee pudding was sooo good! Everything was fabulous!

We had one of THEE best Steak and shrimp dinners we ve had in awhile. . Enjoyed it so much more than some of the other places in town where we have had similar meals. The team here is absolutely amazing and strive for excellence .you re crushing it!!!

Rockbon! We both had rib eye one with baked potatoe one with fries.... has to be the best experience Ive had in dining for local area! As long as this cook/ chef is here I will highly recommend this location MR MIKES pd Im a real picky reviewer....and yes Ive been to Phoenix Steak house 2 x and Intermezzo (another fave spot soo good too) Thanks from River and Bear! I haven t been to Mr Mikes since I was a kid. Someone gave us a gift certificate for Christmas so we decided to order take out. The food was fast, the employees were nice, everything was delicious - including the non-meat burger that not many restaurants get right. The side salads were huge and really fresh. We were pleasantly surprised. We will definitely get more meals from here in the future.

Overpriced

steak was perfect.

We got there at 5:30 to have dinner before our show at 7:30. Our drinks didnt come until 6:15 and we did not have our food by 7:10.. we ended up just asking for to-go containers and our bill and went to the show hungry.

For 37 dollars for a small steak it was very disappointing.

Good relation quality-price. I encourage to go at happy hour during the 2pm-5pm. Amazing 22 oz beer at 6,75 and special price in the appetizers

My parents had their anniversary. I wanted to surprise them with a wonderful night on the town with fine dining. We made a reservation, confirmed it online and staff gave our table away. No apology whatsoever after the time they told us it would take for our table to clear, they tried to cram the 5 of us into a tiny stall. Unacceptable behaviour when we made a reservation especially when they were aware of the special occasion.

So, it was my parents 26th anniversary. We decided to make a reservation for a table online. We confirmed it twice, and then went. When we arrived, they told us they gave our table away. Not only did they not apologize, they tried to make us go into a 4-person table when theres 5 of us.

Just like some of the other reviews I had massive issues with the restaurant regarding reservation. I made a reservation for my family so that we could all enjoy a dinner together. The reservation was confirmed yet out table was given away. We were told to wait about 25 minutes but upon returning they still did not have a table ready. This would have been okay had the staff apologized and advised how much longer the wait may have been but no apology was given with the front coubter staff acting rude about our dissapointment. I can not recommend this restaurant in the slightest due to their lack of professionalism. Went to Boston Pizza instead, much better service and staff.

Unacceptable front desk behaviour. The young lady was rude, and when I was visibly upset cause the table we reserved was given away she turned to face away from us. No apologies, nothing! I cannot reccomend this mr Mikes. They have been repeat offenders for the same behaviour multiple times in the past.

Rude staff

The steak was cooked to perfection sauce, and had an amazing cilantro, dipping sauce that complemented perfectly. The seafood topping was ok. Garlic fries and panko shrimp were also amazing. Staff was very professional, and even sang happy birthday with a sparkling candle on top of a delicious chocolate mousse piece of cake!

The worst Ive ever experienced. Steak over done and hard to chew , tenderloin ? ? definitely not a 7 ounce by any means. I eat out regularly at places that have steak and mr mikes. I called as it was skip that delivered it ( nothing to do with skips wonderful service) and management was to busy to take my call and never returned it. Thank you for my 100 dollars being a huge waist of money . One star is for someone answering the phone. Ill definitely pass on the wonderful news. My dog ate well . Cheers

Had that amazing bruschetta and the Sirloin and Lobster Mac! Was so great and definitely enough to share between me and my boyfriend. Steak was cooked amazingly, so nice and tender and always love that Lobster thats in the Lobster Mac. The server Cara was one of the most amazing and quickest servers Ive ever had and she definitely deserves an enormous raise! Kitchen was very quick too and the place was packed! Hostess, busser and bartender were quick and friendly too, I liked that the host decided for us where to sit! Great job everyone! Well be back for sure!!

The hard uncomfortable seats in the bar make me want to leave sooner than ususal.

NO TIP IF YOU WANT ME TO GO On April 1, 2023 I went for dinner (check: 302624 table: 34), the food is good but for some reason the staff that serves you is in a hurry to get you out of the place as soon as possible, at least 6 times they interrupted us asking if they could take the dishes away, which were still with food. I consider that I am a conscious person and I know that sometimes the restaurants are full or there are even lines of people waiting, but that day it was not the case, at least 5 tables in front of us were empty. In the end, the waiter brought us the bill without asking for it and without asking if we wanted anything else. Bad service and when that happens I dont tip.

Decent service. We had a big group of 14 so expected it to take a while. Food was decent but this is a casual steakhouse as opposed to a fancy one so do manage your expectations. In the bar area there are table top games to entertain guests while waiting to the food. Moderately priced.

This is my go to place for a great vibe and amazing food and staff. Lori-Anne is the best. She is so attentive and is always in a great mood, and never misses a beat. Hands down the best place where you are looked after and never thirsty. Way to go Mr. Mikes Vernon and staff. I will always be a return customer.

The server was amazing. I m terrible with names but he was a local Vernon chap, very bubbly and friendly. Extremely knowledgeable about the menu and more than willing to answer questions. The food was ok but I had to laugh because the menu said my steak came with onion rings it came with exactly 2. So technically, yes it did but VERY misleading. The veg was maybe 5 broccoli florets and a heap of steamed, shredded carrots which wasn t super palatable. For a self-proclaimed steakhouse, the steak was the least amazing looking plate ordered at my table of 7 people. I d go again, largely because the service was great but I wouldn t order steak again.

It was amazing! The Peppercorn and Sirlon pasta was the best! The pasta was perfectly cooked, the peppercorn sauce was so tasty with a hint of mushroom. Perfect meal! Will definitely be ordering that again.

The burger was okay, but what truly impressed me was the exceptional service and delightful atmosphere. The staff at the bar went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience, which is why Im inclined to give this review a well-deserved 5 stars. Next time, I plan to explore the menu further and perhaps try the steak, as it seems like a promising choice. Im looking forward to visiting again soon. P.S. I couldnt help but mention that the cat poster in one of the corners is absolutely hilarious .

Very disappointed Mr Mikes Vernon!!! Brought the husband out from Kelowna for his Bday dinner to just order and go. People seated after us served before us. Very dirty table, ledge, wine glass and clearly reused coasters. My OCD just could not handle it today.

When ordering for pickup, i was told the order was cancelled! I was told that you couldn t cancel on your end and yet here you tell me it was canceled via email!they tryed to tell me my card didnt go through and yet it showed up as going through on my end then it got sent back. Some one is not telling the truth! On top of that they take your phone number for what reason .. maybe to contact you and let you know before you come all the way to the restaurant to find out they have canceled your order

It was a real pleasure to dine here with my lady friend, and our waitress Shiloh she was a very nice young lady,A GOOD EVENING ...well I went back with my brother on June 29th/23, he came up to pick me up ,we are going to our hometown of Revelstoke for our schools 50th class reunion, so we went to Mr Mikes for dinner, and this visit by far put my first visit to shame, we both ha the most expensive thing on the menu, we both had 7 oz sirloin steak, and lobster Mac, baked potatoe & 4 kind of veggies...for $33.00 a plate, it probably was one of the best meals Ive had in my 64 years ..the Mac, is kinda like kraft dinner,only 20 times better, it had three kinds of cheese in it with a huge amount of lobster in it , Its absolutely devastating how good it was, so needless to say ...you have got to try it ..you dont have to get the steak, and other things with it ..its a meal in its self, so this visit I took a lot of pictures for you all to enjoy..will catch yah all on my next review & have yourselves a really good day...

Great Mikes burgers. Great service.

Had big hopes having heard great reviews but I left disappointed, I ordered the ribs and sadly they were not the best, membrane on the bottom and under cooked. When telling the waitress they were not the best her reply was yeah, there are a lot of better places to eat . I won t be going back!

Nice restaurant, I know it can be hit and miss, but the last three times we have been, its been great! We sat in the lounge area. We had a lobster bake appetizer followed by hamburgers. The waitress was great! We even played a game of Crib while waiting for our food. We went there at about 5:30, it wasnt too busy. I recommend you go earlier if you can, cauae we have gone later, and the staff can get frazzled if it is busy

Have mixed views on this. This is the first time Ive been to a Mr Mikes since they shut the one down in trail back in the early 1980s. What I missed is a salad bar from the old days. The restaurant is really modernized and its not as fun as it used to be. If I have no pictures to add just went there and had a steak

Service was okay.....very cold indoors. Food was good, big portions.

We stayed in Vernon during the evacuations and tried Mr. Mikes to celebrate our daughters 13th birthday. It was so good we ended up returning a few days later for round two. Everything we ordered was delicious. Staff was great. Atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly. Our kids loved the games they had available to play at your table while you wait for your food (Jenga, Connect 4, etc.). Steaks and prices are comparable to the Keg (and we LOVE the Keg), but Mr. Mikes is less formal so you can wear your comfy clothes and relax a little more. I think this will be our new go-to restaurant for family-friendly celebrations. Kid-friendliness: Kids loved the games they had available to play at your table.

Went with 8 other couples. Damien who served us was awesome. He s very personable and relates well to customers and give him 5 stars . I ordered chicken quesadillas and they were not very good. They overcooked the quesadillas as they were dry and crispy. Lots of peppers in the quesadillas but cheese , onions and chicken lacking. I would not order it again. We paid the bill and I shoulda said something afterwards as not looking for a comp meal but the group was off to the Vernon performing arts so decided to post instead. Please note have gone their for lunch in the past and their shrimp tacos were very good.maybe it s a hit and miss there just-know won t go back during a busy evening meal service.

Had an amazing dinner out with a large group of friends for a birthday celebration. A server named Brandon was the reason the event went so wonderfully. He was fast, very kind, and made sure we were all taken care of very well! I hope he sees this, thank you Brandon, you rock!

Good restaurant, good assorted menu. Burgers are good, steak sandwiches are good. The service is good too. Here is why I gave a 3 star rating - the poutine was horrible. I ordered a Bourbon Burger and switched out the fries for a sub of poutine for an extra $3.99. What came was a extra small bowl (110ml size). Do you realize how many fries fit in that small bowl? - at most 6 fries, all cut in half. Basically it was a really cheap serving for $3.99. It was NOT worth it. My partner sub her regular fries was the garlic parmesan fries and she got a good serving size and those were good. I ended up getting a extra side dish of fries (a good healthy serving) plate full. The poutine sub was a waste of money and the poutine (cheese part) was lousy. They need to get rid of the poutine unless they increase the serving size by 4x at least, do a better job with the cheese and add a few spices to it. -- 2023-10-08 Update: The one I was in is located in Salmon Arm, but since this is a franchise, then it impacts the one in Vernon as well since it is the same menu and serving sizes. I did not look at the address when it appeared in Google results.

Disgusting food waitress so rude . Long blonde hair girl beyond rude. All food wrong. Not right. And waitress argueswith my daughter when she was in the wrong. I would never come back

Waiter did not follow instructions on how to process bill and he was not a very polite person

Iam celiac, notified the waiter, who was good, within a half n hour was so sick from cross contamination. Obviously, the kitchen did not do their part. Steak, mashed, and salad.

Didnt eat here but they didnt let our emotional support dog to be with us. Its a small/quiet dog that would just sleep under the table.

Went to Mr Mikes tonight for dinner..Was so surprised to see a huge increase in prices.Steak sandwich jumped to 26.99.Was not cooked and had to send it back..My grandson had fish and chips.Was served on a dirty tin cooking pan.Why!Run out of dinner plates?Was not impressed..We wont be back..Was not the quality we had before

Love the food. Our kids love the games available to play at the tables while waiting. The staff makes us feel like family. Weve had great experiences every time we go. The only issue I sometimes have is parking can be a little tight/cramped at times. That said, this is easily our favorite family restaurant :)
