Drinks took 30min to get to table, food took a while as well. Wasnt busy at all. Waitress never even came to see if we wanted a refill.

You can never go wrong with OJs and especially with their sweet potatoes fries.

Was about to place an order until I saw that Original Joes now charges a 10% service fee for to place a pick up order through their own website. What a ridiculous business practice, I will be ordering from one of your competitors which dont charge this ridiculous fee (which btw is every single one of your competitors)

Unfortunately the pacific rim soup came with really soggy mushy noodles. $23 soup and was medium sized which was abit of a disappointment as well. But the mushy noodles made it impossible to eat and enjoy.

Food was great, AC was nice, my server (Steve) was fantastic; had great menu recommendations, left me alone when I needed to be, and was very prompt and attentive in his service. Much appreciated!

Had dinner with a large group last night. Birthday girl ordered a drink, had to ask a few times if it was coming, took way too long. Ordered an appetizer, had to ask again if it was even coming as the delay was long. Very long wait for food, and the restaurant was knowhere near capacity. Everyone was frustrated by the time the food showed up. Server seemed very inexperienced. Didnt see her again until the bill showed up. The bill was wrong, made her correct that and she offered a free drink and a discount. I used to love this place, not sure what happened but dont think ill go back.

We order once a week and tonight was absolutely disgusting butter chicken was so water down and three slices of chicken very disappointing.. called management and oh will look it to it.. not looking for a free meal just a sorry goes a long way

Came in for a late night bite. Food was delicious and our server Chris was awesome! Very attentive, polite and personalble. We were very impressed with our visit! :)

Music was so loud but food was good

Just meh 5/10 food, but very poor value and poor service - total for our meal for two sandwiches/burgers and a single beer was 60 bucks (before tip). When we arrived, the table was sticky and there were ants all over the floor under the table - we had to point the ants out and ask to move to another table. There were only two other tables with patrons when we got there this evening, but service was very slow, and my burger came with a big pickle on top, even though Id asked our server specifically for no pickle. The beer was pretty flat, absolutely no head. Food tasted okay, but side servings were small. Took at least 20 minutes to get our bill and cash out when we were ready to leave, despite it being still not very busy. Server started to run our card, then randomly walked away for another five minutes (without saying anything) before finally cashing us out. Im not sure why this place has more than a 4 out of 5 rating? Meh food, flat beer and ants on the floor with poor service? I have no interest in ever returning here.

Just love the soup but the last couple times the service has been horrible. Waiter couldn t multi task and we waited forever to get water and finally had to ask the other waitress for service. Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly menu.

Nice spot, good food. Really odd that they dont serve pitchers of draft beer but will serve 4 pints to a table. A minor inconvenience, to say the least. Its definitely worth stopping by for a bite to eat!

Tonight we went to OJs for thier fish and chip special. I started off with the worst paralzyer that I have ever had. I had to buy a root beer to chase it down with because who wants to waste a $13 drink. We got the 2 piece fish and chips, when it came out the 2 pieces of fish were tiny (kids meal tiny). I have been to OJs for their fish and chips before and the pieces have always been about triple the size of what we got tonight. I asked the waitress if this was normal now because Holy moly the shrinkflation is crazy! She assured us that it was not normal apologized and quickly for the kitchen to make another piece. When that one came.out you could tell the kitchen was upset because it wasnt much bigger than the other 2 pieces. The waitress again apologized which she didnt need to do. She didnt make it or bring it out to us. Anyways the food was good and flavorful and our waitress Helen was amazing. I dont suggest getting the paralyzer though.

I bought a very nice and cold drink for the restaurant and they didnt let us drink it but this one is ok its fine. But the food tastes good. The only thing is it was overpriced, and I had diarrhea due to OJs using bad ingredients. And also It was really uncomfortable people staring at us like leave us alone and let us enjoy the food. Also, Im very unsatisfied with the service.

I eat hear often good food good place freindly staff but my order is often wrong 1 out of 4 they get right.

I love how casual OJs is. The specials and beer are good and the service is great! My fave is the wed night dry ribs with dipping sauce... mmm!

Ordered spicy crispy chicken burger and ghost pepper crispy chicken burger. They do have healthy options as side dishes. We really enjoyed the food. Hostess was sweet too.. overall good experience, will visit again.

I always enjoy visiting Original Joes. The food is always great quality, the staff are friendly and pay attention. The cobb salad is huge. The chicken burger was a good portion as well. Weve never had a bad experience at this location. We will definitely be back.

We had about 25 people in our group with all separate bills ....the waitress was amazing....very professional.....and she kept our glasses filled. Good teamwork between waitresses too. I will for sure go back. Parking: Lots of parking available

Best meal we have had out in awhile. We had the ghost pepper chicken sandwich and Ace burger both were good options. Service was also very good.

Great place to stop in after work and happy hours 2-5 and makes the afternoon always better after stopping in.

Had a nice kid free dinner with my wife. Enjoyed Lettuce Roll-Ups for an appetizer, followed by Jalapeno Mac & Cheese and a Buffalo Chicken Poutine. Our Server Holly was amazing. She was super friendly and very quick with refills and anything else we required. Very nice evening.

Food prices are too high. Not going there again. Gonna stick with Quesada for vegan food options.

I love the patio area at this restaurant. Staff are very nice. This time around I was more tended to where as lasttime we waited about 40 mins to get a plate of nachos when there were only 2 other tables in the whole restaurant, and there was only toppings and cheese on the top layer, the rest was just tortilla chips. The Patio Joe drink is my new summer favourite though! Thanks!

First visit, pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The mini yorkies in particular were great. Our server - Nevada I believe was her name - was wonderful... knowledgeable, professional and personable. Great experience all around.

The waitress was great and made us smile. I was impressed that she was water conscious and gave our left over glasses of water to the hanging plants outside. Very cool. Parking: This OJ shares parking with a mall.

Had the double patty burger, it was ok, fries were good, homemade. Server friendly and attentive.

I speak of the food mainly, as we have only been in person once to this location. They have soy chickn that can be substituted in a few of their dishes and have for many years before vegan was a thing ( we were regulars in another city we used to live in). Any modifications or requests that I have made to a dish they have been super accommodating and it is so appreciative! The one time we went in the service was great.

Omg this place is so disgusting. Theres dust on the on the vents and lights above the bar and all but one of the lights work at the bar seating. Good happy hour but just clean the place

EDIT: Changed from 1 star to 4, as the manager called and was apologetic and sent a gift card to make up for it. ORIGINAL: The food is good, but there need to be some better resolution processes in place when they themselves make a mistake. We ordered takeout and got home and realized they had forgotten to give us the yam fries and caesar salad we ordered. I phoned right away and they put me through to the manager. She said I could come back and pick them up, but we had just sat down to eat and didn t want to go back. I asked if they could refund it to my credit card, and she said no. I asked if they had delivery people going by, and she said no we don t do our own deliveries. She told me to give my name and next time I ordered I could call the GM and they d give me a credit. I said that sounds complicated and could you give me credit to my account through the website (where I ordered from)? She said no she didn t know how to do that. So I said forget it and she said sorry . Disappointing.

Not your average bar food They have a few items on their menu I have not seen anywhere else I highly recommend 4.5 stars

Have been here numerous times in the last 2 years. Food and service has always been great, no matter how busy it was. We nearly always go Tuesdays for appies, wings and beer. Was totally impressed today when the server, dont know her name remembered us from over a month ago, what we ordered, and even where we sat. Most friendly and efficient . Kudos to all.

Comfortable sports bar style facility. Foods although mentioned to be high quality was barely mediocre. I arrived in Vernon late and 2 restaurants already turned me away at 8pm and 810pm. At 816pm original joes took my service. Double marghretta night to boot. Yes please. And a steak sandwich with out the potatoes and breads. The staff was very polite, accommodating and the cook was precise on the rare sirloin steak. The salad was bitter and contained, bruised mushy pieces. The Margherita was tasty but very low quality tequila.

We arrived around 5:20 and got a table near the bar with no one sitting beside us or behind us. There was no tv visible from my seat but my wife was able to see 2 tvs from her seat. Then it took almost 15 mins to get our drinks, not acceptable. meanwhile the table beside us arrived as did the table behind us. not only did both tables by us arrive after us they also received their appetizers and then their main courses. after waiting for 40 mins without receiving any food at all i asked for my bill to pay for our drinks. The waitress said our food was coming right out but after waiting for 40 plus minutes we had waited long enough. We go to OJs all the time and this was our last visit as there is no excuse for the lousy service we received.

Let s start with the service which was slight better than adequate. However it s mostly the food. My husband referred to it as Bosleys for humans. Not sure if the fish tacos were fish or chicken and just don t get me started on the lettuce wraps.

Our waitress was one of the best we have had. Food was great and atmosphere is wonderful.

The food was edible, i expected a bigger portion of food considering the price, the French fries were mostly potato skin, Cesar salad was under dressed, restaurant was clean but could have been better, the worst was the waitress. She walked past us multiple times and ignored us, unless she was delivering food or taking our order. my spouse had to ask a different waitress for a glass of water which was never refilled. She also only talked to me and ignored my spouse.

Our burgers were way over cooked with no flavor. The drinks are cold but wouldnt recommend the burgers. No we wont go back to this business. We rode up on our motorcycles!

Outrageously expensive for low quality food. Bought a chicken salad for $18.25. Was just a bunch of lettuce with about five little dinky pieces of chicken. Could have made that at home for less than five dollars.

Pesto fettuccine was yuk. Greasy. Tasted like Lipton chicken noodle soup with tough chicken. Drowned it in red pepper and parmesan and still cant get the taste out of my mouth. The waitress was nice.

Went there on 09/10/2022. First of all our sever, Holly was fantastic! She was very polite and incredibly accommodating. She went out of her way to communte to the kitchen my dietary restrictions. For her and the cooks they get a 5 star review! This review is mainly just about the corporate side of things. When I was in Vernon I was excited to go to OJs because from their website I was impressed to read the number of vegan options available. When we got there I was disappointed that a lot of the items labeled vegan we not actually vegan. I felt terrible that I had to keep asking our waitress to keep going back to the kitchen to ask questions because most of the things labeled on the menu were not ACTUALLY vegan. I also have a dairy allergy so this was very difficult to order. It must have been so frustrating for her and the cooking staff. However this was not their fault. The menu should have been clearly labeled and the company failed to do so. For instance, you cannot call the Cajun Chicken Cheddar burger if you have to serve it without the bun, cheese, and the sauce. The sides were not clearly labeled and I had to ask a ton of questions and had to keep sending Holly back to ask the kitchen staff more questions. We ended up ordering the Teriyaki veggie bowl and The Kona. The veggie bowl was pretty sad looking, there was few veggies and a bit of brown rice, there was no tofu or beans or nothing of substance. The Kona Burger was just an impossible paddy with one single, tiny pineapple ring on lettuce and a tiny bit of brown rice. The meal was so sad looking. I ALWAYS take photos of my food, I didnt even bother with my veggie bowl because it was so underwhelming. I took a photo of my partners burger to put in this post because it was so pathetic looking. Keep in mind that this burger cost $20.50! Some ways that the chain can improve on this are - clearly label the menu, including the sides. -make clear instructions for staff -ingedient lists -get a chef to create some good vegan options at are not only delishious but also have enough food to sustain someone. -invest in some vegan cheese and some buns. -Make it incredibly easy for staff members when people with dietary restraints come in. This will improve efficiency as well. Anyway. I hope that helps. Thanks again.

Very good service. Attentive but not annoying. We had A chicken Ceasars, a Cobb salad and two orders of their huge burgers. The White Sangria I ordered was delicious.

Service was reasonably quick but our server seemed annoyed with us from the moment we arrived. The dining area is clean and in good shape but it gets really loud when its even a quarter full and a few of the TVs have such bad burn in that they are almost completely blue. The food was quite good so we will definitely be back.

Wonderful service.. came in to the restaurant and greeted with smiles. I had the Steak sandwich with fries and Caesar salad and my friend had the butter chicken. The steak was done to perfection and the meal was great, except both of us had the same thing to say about the steak and the chicken and that there was not much flavor to it. A very pleasant evening.

Ordered takeout at 4:40pm online to be picked up at 6:00pm. Arrived at 6:00 and was told it wasn t ready and then ignored until almost 6:15 when I found the manager who then disappeared into the back and didn t come back for another 5 minutes. Finally got our food and got back on the road and opened our order to find that the beef dip had NO BEEF. Just mushrooms and onions and the kids grilled cheese had cold fake cheese that hadn t even melted. Can t believe how bad this experience was - it felt like a comedy skit or something.

This was quite simply very bad! I ordered through a delivery company. Everything was in plastic containers which is unacceptable nowadays, the order was just thrown together. An order of poutine was in someway the most pathetic presentation I have seen, about 10 fries and six small pieces of curds along with a side serving of gravy that you poured on yourself...it certainly wasnt very appetizing to look at.

We had a lovely dinner on the patio. Our waitress, Brandie, was attentive, funny and just dang good at her job! We appreciated the overall experience! Thanks!

We waited 1 hour and 20 min for good only to get told sorry they forgot to put our order in. We told them we could not wait any longer and she brought us the bill for our drinks they never even offered to comp any of the soft drinks.

I would go to an Original Joes in any City. When I go to the one in Vernon with my wife the manager comes to our table every time. He makes light conversation and a few jokes and make sure that everything is the way it should be. The waitresses are amazing! This guy hires the best people he can find and its obvious. The food is always good and the place is always busy which is a good sign for a restaurant. I would recommend Original Joes to anyone looking for a place to eat

Monday Mexican night. Tacos are $3/$4 depending on filling. Tacos are very Canadian, iceberg lettuce, diced tomatoes no cilantro and no sauce choices, but fresh and tasty once you remember where you are. Sevice is good, staff are friendly and attentive. Place is clean and well maintained and parking is plentiful.

Homemade fries, delicious sauces and interesting twists on yummy dishes. Definitely going there again!

I usually love this place. Unfortunately my lasagna was cold and I found a piece of plastic in it. The restaurant did comp my meal and I will try again in the future but it is not what you want from such an established restaurant.

Service was slow, took a long time to get our drinks and trying to get our bills and pay took even longer, food was good but kinda spoiled by the lack of service.

Went to OJ s to celebrate my friend s birthday. The food was terrible. Had the full rack of ribs. Portions were large but sub par. The meat needed more sauce and the cole slaw needed more dressing. Very bland. Service was great. Our waitress served with a smile and was attentive throughout. I would not come back again.

Use to go there later in the evening. One night we waited 25 minutes while all servers were tacking at the bar. My husband finally got out his cell phone can called then and asked when they would be finished and come and get our order. We got a lot of service after that but it shouldnt have happened in the first place!
