Range Restaurant was my 197th eatery on my quest to eat at every eatery in Vernon. My dad ordered the fish and chips and I ordered nachos. I paid $35.02 after tax and an 18 percent tip for my nachos and Coca Cola sodas. It was $28 before tax and tip. They don't have any two person tables by the window. Given how busy it frequently gets here, the only free two person table happened to be next to a vent for the duration of the meal. If you are a group of 4 or more with a reservation, you'll likely get a beautiful table by the window. My nachos were a decent portion, but the entire bottom layer didn't really have any cheese or ingredients on it. These aren't the worst nachos in Vernon, but they weren't the best either. Because my dad and I had never been to Predator Ridge before, we took a walk outside after our meal. My dad really liked his fish and chips. If you avoid steaks and the fancy stuff, prices are reasonable. Deep fried pickles are $16, though. I avoided ordering deep fried pickles because of the steep price. Overall, we were happy with our meal but I wouldn't do the nachos again. 197 eateries in Vernon are now complete, and I only have five remaining in town.
Staying at the resort and walking into the range restaurant was a good feeling. Busy, clean, lots of space between tables - the ambiance was great! Service was decent other than the food taking forever to come out. When the food did come, no one was impressed with the food. I had the lamb burger and it was a let down. Others in my party felt the same i did. If we’re paying top dollar to eat at the resort, i expect better food quality. We had plans to eat here another night nut that was an easy decision and we went to the Austrian restaurant at sparking hill.
We arrived week early for our rservation! Hostess was super, spoke with manager and the seven (plus baby) got seated. Food is great, pricey for us visitors from Serbia, but Canada is expensive. Anyway, our server Candise was amazing, so I felt compelled to write, because she took such great care of us.
We flew in to Kelowna August 22nd, on our way to visit friends. We decided to stop at the Range bar on our way. I had never been to Predator Ridge golf course. Wow what an amazing course. We had an amazing table and our server was just lovely. Her name was Candice. She recommended a great bottle of wine for us while we over looked the amazing scenery. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you for your service Candice, we had a wonderful time.
Got the huli huli and clubhouse, great sandwiches that are definitely elevated with the pineapple/cherry chutneys. Next time I’ll definitely go for a pasta! Caesar salad was really good, best croutons I’ve had.
Visiting from Toronto, ON we had a delightful dinner at Range. Despite not having a reservation, we were fortunate to secure a patio table. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, providing quick and attentive service. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The evening view over the golf course was stunning, adding to the overall wonderful experience. I would love to return and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone
Wow!!! Ten outta ten for just the view. The food (delicious, perfection) and service (attentive) were the icing on the cake!! Thanks Carson, Claire & Trinity for your extra efforts and helping us celebrate our son’s birthday.
Had a great dinner at the Range with friends. The food was Excellent! This is not a place you want to pass up. You wont be disappointed. Our waiter Vivek was very attentive and did a great job. Also our driver Sheldon took very good care of us making sure we arrived at our destination safely.
to be honest if i could give the service a zero, i would. was there with a large party, which we had a reservation for, and this is supposed to be an upscale restaurant. its in predator ridge, im paying predator ridge prices, i should be getting predator ridge service. instead of just taking our drink order and writing down whos paying with who, our server proceeded to tell us how they switched to a new system and basically gave us a whole lot of information we as diners do not want or need as you are effectively delaying our service by giving excuses instead of just doing your job to the best of your ability. the servers were also incredibly unattentive and we had to flag people down to even get a take out box. my food was subpar for the price of 35 dollars. my feet and legs were freezing the entire time i was there. again, this is a restaurant at predator ridge. i would have gotten better service, food, AND atmosphere at boston pizza. do better. absolutely do not recommend if you are looking for a fine dining experience.
First time eating up at The Range and will be the last time. What does a 35 dollar duck plate look like? Not very good! The duck i got looked like it came from a pigeon. The rice was meh (can cook better rice at home) and the mixed vegetables was just sad. Im glad it was a staff party because if i had to pay for plate i would of been sick to my stomach. I dont know what it was but the restaurant had a very off putting smell. Some one suggested the grease trap. If you like over priced mediocre food ... The Range is for you ... CANNOT RECOMMEND 1/5
Place is amazing!! Dont trust anyone leaving bad reviews...
I had the New York strip and really enjoyed it. Other dishes my family ate were also good.
Shout out to Guy tonight for the excellent service. It s always a brilliant time when staff shows and cares about a customers experience. Not only will we be back but will let out the word what a wonderful date night my husband and I had tonight! Thank you!!
Was a nice looking restaurant, especially after playing golf.
We were staying at the Sparkling Hill resort and on a Tuesday my husband called for reservations for 4 people at 6pm at the Range restaurant. He requested a nice view or near window. When we arrived the host was extremely cold and had a look of disgust in her face. She seated us away from the windows and view and I kindly asked if we can sit near the window and she said No those are all reserved I said but we also called and reserved and she said still said No they re priority and walked off.. we were there for a few hours and those seats were still empty. We only ordered drinks and appies and went elsewhere for our mains. My waitress luckily was extremely nice and sweet and made me feel better.. but as I was going to the restroom I heard the girl say to the other hostess that she didn t seat us where we requested because of the way we were dressed. I have never been soo embarrassed in all my years. TERRIBLE HOSTESS who treats you like you re worthless. The best part was our server who was beautiful inside out.
One star review is far too generous for Range as this was by far the worst dining experience I have ever had. I was visiting from out of province and met up with an old friend to catch up and take her out for dinner for her birthday. We made the reservation more than 2 weeks before hand! Everything was a miss from the start. The host was rude in seating us; we were placed at the end of a very large party like an afterthought and in their way. I had asked to move to another 2-person table just about a foot away and he said those were reserved, however for the 3+ hours we were there no one sat at any of those tables. I also asked to see if there would be an option to sit inside and he said he d check which I said thanks in advance for checking and please let me know but he never came back to let me know either way. Our server was incredibly rude and treated us like an after thought and like she was annoyed to have to severe us. She warned us in a very rude and unprofessional way that the Kitchen was slammed with chits and we d better be ok waiting over 45 mins for dinner. Tried to order and an appetizer before our mains as we d be waiting so long but she said that would take just as long to deter us. So no appetizers for us! After serving the first drink and taking our dinner order we didn t see her once for over and hour! We wanted more wine but she completely forgot about us. I had to go get us a water refill from the bar as she was completely MIA. Food finally came out 1.5 hours later and our meals were terrible. We both had the swordfish with baby veg; it was way over cooked, cold and completely bland. Terrible and not worth the $40 for the entree even if it was good. We did see the sever once when the plates were dropped off and after she offered pepper she grabbed a shaker from another table and slammed it down on our table with her back turned to us. She may have muttered here as she threw it as us but couldn t hear with her back turned! Typically when a restaurant offers pepper, they come back with a mill and grind it onto your meal for you. After we ate our terrible meals, we had to of course ask the server for our bill because we never saw her again. When paying she casually said sorry for all the things. My issue is twofold. If the restaurant is so busy or so understaffed in the kitchen, then do not seat so many people. We had made a reservation more than two weeks in advance. We were not walk-ins. If we had been a walk-in, I could understand the wait. This is absolutely unacceptable in the restaurants part in my opinion. I expect much better. At the very least when a restaurant is over slammed, they should be coming around and offering some sort of finger food like chips or bread or something to tie people over. And a good restaurant will comp free drinks. At the very least acknowledge the issue and make people comfortable with the wait. Secondly was with the server who was busy with larger tables; these things happen but she did forget about us completely. She could have apologized or at least been cordial about it instead of being rude about it. The worst experience ever, we left hungry and thirsty from 3.5 hours in 40 degree heat with little water. Shame on you Range. We will not be coming back and told all of our fellow guests at nearby Sparkling Hill where we stayed to avoid this restaurant.
We had dinner at the range, the food was amazing and the staff were very friendly. Our server Guy, went above and beyond for us! We were very impressed and will definitely be back!
Its OK, nothing special food wise. MUCH better than our first visit here , things are looking up. The newly renovated space is welcoming and serine. Tuna was a little overdone, still tasty. Ceasar salad with chicken, pasta, fish n chips, decent. The shrimp appetizer was a nice portion prepared nicely but a little lackluster in the flavor department. A decent golf club meal. Hopefully, the meals will get to the level this property deserves.
Terrible service! Waited 2 hours for our food and they still got it wrong! Never coming back here again!
Nice view but meal was very slow in coming. Food fair.
90 Minutes to be served two burgers and fish & chips. Wait staff poorly trained and management not much better. From not knowing how to serve drinks to spilling half the food on the table. It almost felt like we were being pranked - it was that bad. You can spend millions on renovations - but if the food and services is horrible than no one is going to come back. Food was poor quality, service non-existent even though there was a ton of staff, and every table was complaining about something.
Played an awesome round at the ridge course on Sunday the 28th.. went into the restaurant to get some food after. Although the service was great, the food was a huge miss. I am not someone who ever complains about my food I just eat it and move on if I dont like it but when you go to a course like predator ridge you expect the restaurant to have good food for what its priced. The fries with my burger were legitimately rock hard, cold and stale, my buddy ordered a medium rare steak and it was very over cooked, and my gfs chicken club was literally burnt black. Like I said the service was super great but the chef that day not so much.
My family really enjoyed The Range, the service is always great, views are beautiful, and the place is overall very well kept. The only downside was that they took away their best meal (in our opinion) which was the coconut curry. We only had it once and we came back less than a month later and it was gone! We were very sad :( My brother has been eating hot wings since he was 6. He hated the hot wings
Nice view, $10 Monday cocktails, nachos were great as was all the food we ordered...
Outstanding experience! From the shuttle drivers to all restaurant staff, the food, the view, and the atmosphere were all exceptional! Was up at Sparkling Hill for a girls trip, and the food there was mediocre. Well worth the quick shuttle drive!
The food was shockingly bad. No taste. No class.
I have been here a few times. Its good but I would say underwhelming for the price point. Its loud and only a few tables have decent views. The food, while cooked well, is always missing something and a bit bland. I just feel overall I have had much better high end meals.
Omg! What can I not say about our amazing experience at this place, my daughter and her husband took us for a post Mother and Father s Day lunch and we were not disappointed at all! The appetizers, drinks and the entrees were absolutely delicious, and I have to definitely give an extra credit to the manager there who s name is Reena, she went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience during our time there.
Food was not acceptable. Rigatoni sauce was not at all tasty, mushroom soup was good but just warm and fish and chips were way overcooked. Hamburger, as always was good. Disappointing meal overall. The best part was our server..she was excellent! Food
Food was really good. We were staying at Sparkling Hill, so there was a complimentary shuttle to bring us down to the RANGE which was nice. We came down about 8:30 and were seated on the patio which had lovely views. Mosquitoes were vicious after 9:00, so be prepared for that.
I recently visited Predator Ridge restaurant in Vernon, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Here s a detailed account of what went wrong during my visit: Service Delays and Mishandling: We waited over an hour and a half for our food to arrive. This long wait was particularly frustrating because we had children with us, and their food didn t come out with the rest of our order. We were told that the kids meals were billed as a separate table and that it would take another eight minutes. However, this additional wait turned into a frustrating 30 minutes. Quality of Food: When our food finally arrived, the burgers were burnt. This was a huge letdown, especially after such a long wait. The kids were hungry and restless, and the poor quality of the food only added to our disappointment. Poor Management Response: The manager s response to our complaints was inadequate. We were offered only a 20% discount on the kids meals as compensation for the hassle, which felt like a token gesture rather than a genuine attempt to rectify the situation. Unprofessional Waitstaff: The waiter provided terrible service throughout our visit. Despite informing him that we were celebrating a birthday, he failed to deliver the promised free dessert. Additionally, he did not bring straws for our drinks or side plates for our appetizers. His lack of attention to basic service details significantly detracted from our dining experience. Inefficient Service for Large Parties: For a table of 12, there was only one food runner, causing all the food to come out one item at a time. This further prolonged our wait and made it difficult for everyone to enjoy their meals together. Dishonesty and Poor Communication: The server lied to my face about there being a big party causing the delay, even though the restaurant was clearly emptying out as it got later in the afternoon. Additionally, the manager and staff failed to communicate with each other about what was happening, adding to the overall confusion and poor service. Overall Experience: Overall, our visit to Predator Ridge restaurant took almost two hours, much of it spent waiting under less-than-ideal conditions. The combination of delayed service, poor food quality, unprofessional staff, and dishonesty made for an extremely disappointing evening. In summary, I would not recommend Predator Ridge in Vernon based on this experience. The restaurant needs to improve its service and food quality significantly to meet even basic customer expectations.
Excellent restaurant overall for food drinks and atmosphere. New look is great.
Incredible food and drinks, and the service was excellent. The new atmosphere is very beautiful, but it was a bummer when a table of 4 was seated so close to us (table of 2 in the lounge) that we could no longer quietly talk without their conversation overpowering dinner. We hurried up to leave at that point. My husband had the Jamaican curry chicken, and I had the pork tenderloin. Perfect dishes!
Came in for lunch after a fun MTB ride at Predator and had the best service from Candise! Great food, nice atmosphere, love the renovations!
Ate at the Ridge on May 27,2024. Ordered the spicy pawn bowl and it was comically spicy! I like spicy food but this dish tasted like I was eating rice covered in half a bottle of Sriracha sauce. The server was lovely and offered to bring sour cream and rice to help with the spice level. This did not help and I was charged an additional fee. The server said that they have been receiving many complaints about the spice level and that they are not sure why it hasnt been removed from the menu. I agree, remove this item from the menu. The service and atmosphere were great, I unfortunately ordered a dud. My husband had the delicious Ridge burger with half fried and half kale salad. Burger and fries were great, salad was under dressed. Overall good experience but please remove spicy pawn dish from menu.
I had the slow braised beef obie and my partner had the sausage and mash. We were both disappointed. I thought the braised beef was too salty. The peppercorn sauce was a bit much. My potatoes were warm but definitely not hot. My partner s sausage was also very salty and we joked that it looked (and tasted) more like a hot dog than a decent sausage. We would not go back.
Excellent food and bussing staff. Very nice service from Jenna! But our main server was horrible. She loudly interrupted our conversations, didnt provide us with a bill, and generally treated us like we were lucky to be served by her.
We had Kale Caesar, Wings and the Tomohawk for 2. The kale Caesar was very good, my husband liked the wings but I thought they tasted over processed (pre cooked and over tenderized). Unfortunately the Tomahawk wasn t cooked very well. We ordered medium rare and while parts of it were medium rare, much of it was well done and over charred. To offer something like a $160 Tomahawk and not have the skill to cook it is a bit of an oversight. I did read the reviews and decided to try it anyway. The broccolini and carrots were way over salted. The broccolini actually burned our toungues with the salt (and I like salt). The potatoes and peppercorn sauce were very good! If I come here again, I ll try a burger or something similar. The service was good and the restaurant gave us a $32 discount on the steak. We weren t going to complain but the server could tell we weren t entirely happy with the meal.
After doing some research and hearing about this restaurant we booked for a date night. We were disappointed because pictures we saw did not show a little made over conference room setting in the basement; it definitely wasn t nice views and ambiance that I was expecting. Service was fair, food was fair: Tbone was tough even cooked rare, some veggies were a bit undercooked and it the Obie while amazingly tender, was almost over salted.
Was great for a group gathering, tasty food, good service, affordable, definitely would go again and would recommend!
The staff picked us up at Sparkling Hill and drove us back which was so nice. The food was great.
Amazing views and service. You are in a very well know golf course and amazing views. The food is right behind it with greats culinary choices and best wines from the area and world. I really recommend this restaurant and definitely hit a round of golf while you are there. Everything in the menu is amazing and the service was unforgettable. Sit back and enjoy the views while you zip some wine. #chicosreviews
Very tasty spicy calamari and wings! Great selection of local wines.
We booked dinner for a Saturday night. We lucked out on the date night special. One appie to share, two main entrees, two desserts. $89. We loved the calamari and the beef obie was delish. We also had a kale ceasar salad that was amazing. Also, 25% off for BC wines. We tried a Malbec from Moon Curser (Osooyos). It was full bodied and smoothly yummy. Service was slow due to the busy-ness, but an excellent waitress and no biggie on the wait.
Fantastic Service with a Smile. Alex the Manager is Super Efficient. Parking: A little Difficult but you will eventually get a spot.
Great food
A stellar meal and cocktails made for an amazing dinner. As a treat for a girls night with friends, this was everything we could have asked for-great service, delicious food and a great view of the golf course and beyond. They also had shuttle service to and from our hotel room at sparkling hills which was a great addition to a stress free evening. We had the Ahi Tuna, Short rib and Prawn Fettuccine and we all cleaned our plates. We also enjoyed sangria and margaritas and enjoyed them all. Golfer or not, You cant go wrong with a visit here!
Was disappointed in our main course below average quality of meat, was not cooked correctly. Our friends had the veal chop it was thin and overcooked had to send it back. Considering the prices they charge it was not worthy. The service was good however and the views spectacular. The only part of the meal that was good was the appetizers.
Love the food and drinks, Staff are very welcoming and the service was good
Very nice place to have lunch or dinner, clean, great food and service. Free parking!
Felt like royalty!
My husband and I ate here four times over the course of our weekend at the resort because there was no where else to eat. The views are spectacular however, unfortunately the service was very slow and inattentive. We spent a lot of time waiting around for someone to take our order, and then even more time waiting for the food to come out. The food was underwhelming as well. For breakfast, I ordered avocado toast that came out without any avocado on it which was disappointing. Drinks are good, setting is good, service/food/menu needs some work.
Celina was our server, we had a fantastic experience. I give her 5 stars and would highly recommend. We ll be back.
My husband and I were planning on a late dinner, we called The Range Lounge to ensure they would be open until 11pm. The lady on the phone said yes they are open until 11pm that night and would do last call at 10:45pm. When I inquired further, she said we could walk in at 10:43pm and would still be served. My husband and I made our way over at 10:00pm, at that time we were told they had closed for the night and we would not be served. Kelsey was very adamant that they close at 10pm, despite THEIR website saying otherwise and THEIR own employee telling me so. Kelsey was not willing to offer any other options. Vernon is small town and most of their restaurants close early!!! We had to go back to our hotel without any food that night. All Kelsey said to us was, it was a communication error. YES, on their part! I am very disappointed with Kelsey and the RANGE. Kelsey didnt even offer us other choices that we might have had. We are from out of town and only come in for 1 night. I hope future customers do not have to deal with this. Will not be recommending the Range or returning.
5 stars entirely dedicated to their server Steph!!! She is super thoughtful and will always remember my dining experience with her!
Obviously a 5 star resort but the service at the grille was outstanding. Our server was Luis and he exceeded expectations. The drinks are well priced for the size
amazing burgers and bevies ! not to mention the view... great spot ! thank you !!
Tried the Range for the first time for our third anniversary. Food was good and Steph the server was great. Only downside, the person who brought our food to the table spilt part of our dinner on my husbands lap and the floor. We did let the server know, no compensation offered which was a tad disappointing.
Service is all good but it was very hot and AC wasnt able to address the need. The food is okay. The staff are great, polite and hospitable
They charged me $2 to split 2 dishes with my partner. Seriously? Otherwise tasty.
Nice spot for a lunch on the patio. Decent food on the menu. We had calamari and tofu. Service was good.
Food and atmosphere were great!
Went for brunch...food was very average and not well stocked buffet. Good servers and location!
Best gem of Vernon
Loved Mothers Day brunch - Shelly is always delightful and had her again today for lunch. Thanks so much Food
Harpreet was absolutely delightful and amazing. Food was delicious. Did not disappoint. Perfect.
We went for dinner. Our shuttle didnt show up to pick us up as we reserved. We got our starter quickly the main course came much later (too long in my opinion and when it did. Mine was the wrong meal, she took it back asked me what it was supposed to be, then brought me the wrong thing again which I couldnt eat. Everyone was beyond finished their meal and ready to pay by time the 2nd wrong thing came. Gave me a 20% discount. Very disappointed. I wouldnt recommend.
The food and views were great. The staff was very accommodating of our group.
One of our favorite restaurants but disappointed in visit this week Portions were smaller , no desserts offered and ingredients mentioned on menu not on ordered dishes Food
We couldn t book at 6 pm because there booked had to come at 415 pm we were the only ones there right until we left 520 pm
The food and service were second to none! When we arrived, I was surprised to find out that the upstairs dining room was closed for construction and we were led downstairs to what I assume was two small adjoining basement banquet rooms. The host led me to a table inches away from a big screen tv, in a room with three other tv s. He was accommodating when I asked to be seated in the portion of the space with zero tv s, since this was a date night. I m glad we stayed! Our server was helpful and present. But the best part was the food! We happened to be there on their special date night, which was $99 for two half salads, two mains, and two desserts. The salad was the best I d ever had. It was mixed greens with vinaigrette, feta, dried cranberries, pickled squash, and pralines. Absolutely delicious! For mains we both had the 12oz NY Strip. Both were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Sides were al denté vegetables (yellow beets, broccolini, carrots) and mashed potatoes. Desserts were coconut mouse with roasted pineapple (my partner loved it) and I had a decaf affogato which had espresso that I poured through a chocolate shell, melting down over vanilla gelato and Oreo cookie crumbs. We each had a drink - Heineken zero for me and a virgin pina colada for my partner, which was not too sweet. The bill came to $120 and I was more than happy to leave a large tip. Overall I gave the three dishes 10/9/10, only because the flavour on the peppercorn and shallot gravy wasn t completely to my liking (but was served next to, not on my steak). I commend the chef and wait staff and I will absolutely be back for more!
Great place to eat! Was a great experience. The only complaint I have is the potatoes were cold.
Our server Chelsea was absolutely lovely. She made our evening wonderful. The food was also delicious!
The Blueshounds performed in the lounge last night to a much appreciated audience many thanks to the staff and management for all they do.
Nice view, but the food was pretty mediocre, and overpriced for what it was. The waiter definitely told us the drinks we were buying were $25/drink, the bill came, and they were $35/drink, and he didn t fix it for us.
We always enjoy this restaurant and have been here a few times now! Our favourite in the region! Our server, Shelley is wonderful each time we have had her. It was oyster night and they were fantastic. They gave us thirteen for the price of ten because they were the last ones left for the evening. I can t say enough great things about this place. The food is great, they cater to dietary restrictions and have a great menu!
Excellent food, our server Silo was one of the best ever, funny, witty, & rolled with my jokes, she was super efficent 5+
Thursday evening, What a treat it was to dine here. We arrived to live music and enjoyed having half-price cocktails whilst waiting for our delicious appies and entrées. Escargo, Truffle Mushroom Ravioli and the Calamari were all so tasty and perfectly portioned. The Braised Beef Obi was definitely one of the best things I have ever eaten. My husband too. It is a bit of a drive to get out there, but well worth it, or if your staying at Sparkling Hill its just a 5 minute drive over. We will be back again.
Absolutely amazing service and food was delicious..definitely recommend
Went into have lunch drinks and get warm after golfing today. Not busy since its a weekday. Asked the server about a meal on the menu, was told its my 2nd day I have to ask. Requested coffee cream and sugar. Server brought me cold coffee with cream and sugar no spoon. I asked her to bring me a spoon waited 10 min. That was my turning point. My husband and I both left. My thought if youre new someone with serving experience should be with you. I dont recommend this place to anyone traveling and wanting to eat here.
Terrible service. Starting with ordering a round of pop for the table, the server provided only one when there clearly was two of us and she had acknowledged we wanted two at the time of ordering but rather accept she was wrong decided to argue we didnt order it. Moving onto our food arriving, not one person came by the table to ask if we had everything or the usual, hows the first few bites which I usually would not care but the steak I ordered blue was over cooked and it would have been nice to get what I asked for though as I was too hungry and could not get anyones attention I just ate it. Was very tough and tasted cheap. When our other meal arrived, which we ordered the steak sandwich, the waiter (aka the manager) asked who had the braised beef. Which none of us ordered and when we said, oh we ordered the steak sandwich his response was, thats the same thing, even though its clearly not and is a different item on the menu, but again we were too hungry to wait. Sorry, but you can do much better.
The worst experience dining I have had in 20 years of dining from all over the world. The steak was over cooked and when we sent our 60$ steak back for being over cooked medium not medium rare they didn t ask to remake it they just said okay. They charged us for the steak and when we mentioned that we didn t eat it they said they would take our drinks off the bill. I asked why they would take the one thing we do consume off the bill and no answer. We asked to speak to the manager and they sent their young person to our table to say he was in the office. We waited 30 minutes to get the bill rectified. Our server was slow but I do belting no fault of her just a lack of training. We were stunned the manager didn t want to come and engage about our concerns. He left a young inexperienced hostess to front end our dissatisfaction. I wonder if their regulars allow for a lack of need to develop good relations with foodies coming in.
Always fantastic, eat in or take out
The food is not only perfectly cooked and delicious but surprisingly well priced based on the caliber of the kitchen and the location at Predator Ridge resort. Definitely worth a visit!
Great location, food was amazing and the staff very accommodating. Highly recommend this place to be in your plans next visit to Predators Ridge.Had dinner ,then Lunch next day lol
Great food and awesome staff
Excellent!
Just had dinner tonight and the food and service were outstanding.
Great service, great food!
Nice view and patio. Food very average
Veal soft and tasty, pork ribs juicy not dry, good taste
The location is fantastic, the service was great, but unfortunately, none of us really liked our meals. I had the prime rib sandwich and while I love horseradish, it was completely saturated, my wife had the butter chicken and it was just ok. The other two in our party felt the same about their meals. Will try it again at some point, maybe we just hit an off night.
Bit of an unfriendly reception but the manager sorted it out for our family. Food was good. Its a golf course restaurant so I guess one should expect that culture to be predominant.
Great service, really good wine list, food was great, two thumbs up
Parents live in predator and the community is amazing. Of course wouldn t be the same without the range which is a popular dinning spot that has great food and great service!
Great views over the beautiful Predator Golf Course! Food is well priced and great portions. I had the gorgonzola and grape penne pasta which was delicious!
Thoroughly enjoyed my meal here on more than one occasion! Not to mention the breathtaking landscape and views that the restaurant overlooks. The service, staff and food here were fantastic! Some of the appetizers and dishes have a unique twist to them which I appreciated. Will definitely be back while visiting the area.
Shoutout to Lucas at the bar. Friendly and attentive service. Didnt rush us at last call.
Nice beautiful views
Shane was a highlight! Give him a raise! Deconstructed Cake!
Nice !
LUIS was such a knowledgeable server. Will be back for sure!
We had a great dinner here. Option to sit inside or out on the patio. The view was lovely but it was a little warm so we sat inside. Our server, Shane was very good. Friendly and eager to suggest great dishes. Our meals were delicious!
When I told my coworker that I will have my summer vacation in Vernon, she recommended this place. Not for golfing (cause I dont golf) but for the restaurant. This place was beautfiul, attentive staff, and food was good. I ordered Butter Chicken. I understand why some people did not like it, it was quite westernized. However it does not mean it doesnt taste good. I actually enjoyed it a lot. Maybe because I am a sweet tooth :) My hubby had Boy Blue burger which satisfied him good. However dessert was the most impressive dish. We got Chocolate mosse and the smallest bite would give you enough sweetness to your mouth.
Food was good, atmosphere was enjoyable, service was great!
It was supposed to be a great night of my birthday, food and family turned disaster. Worst dining experience ever. TERRIBLE SERVICE. Poor service staff who raised voice at us and made us feel embarrassed at the restaurant. What kind of leadership do you have to train staff who treat guests like garbage? Im livid with this dining experience. You should close your doors.
Great food and drink and great service
Better than that Sparkling place. Friendly, great service staff and unpretentious.
Nice food at a reasonable price served by good staff.
Good food and atmosphere.
Went there last night with my wife and our 35 yr old son. Sat on patio overlooking the course. You cant beat the views from their patio , but is the food any good? It was excellent!! We had 3 different dishes and they were all prepared perfectly and each one had a unique combination of ingredients that made them special. Service was above par as well. We had not been for a few years and are now going to come back often.
I believe they have a new menu and even if they dont, it was a great place to spend a few hours eating with some bevies.
We always have a great time at the range. The food is great, the patio atmosphere is relaxing, and the service is always outstanding. Twice we have had Luis serving us, and I can t say enough about how incredible his service is. He is attentive, thorough and ensures an incredible experience every time. Thank you Luis, as we would come back just for your service alone!
Really a lovely place to go, foods great with good company. Definitely a place l will be visiting again and try the other foods on the menu. Had to say it was nice to see a bee get drunk, dont worry the Waiter was kind enough to replace my beer
The shuttle from Sparkling Hill was convenient, the view was lovely, the food was wonderful, and our server seemed friendly... But after she took our food order we didnt see her again. My husband would have ordered a couple more beers, and I would have had at least one more cocktail. Appie plates sat dirty on our table and I had to flag the girl who brought our mains because she didnt realize we were waiting on food due to the dirty dishes... which she didnt clear. We had no drinks (not even water) and it had been a good half hour since anyone had checked on us, so I finally flagged down another staff person to bring us our bill and a to-go box. (I had thought about ordering a dessert but hubby and I werent prepared to wait unattended any longer.) I understand staffing issues are real right now, but the service was shocking. There were people wandering around taking payment but there seemed to be one wait person for the entire establishment. It was absurd. Then to get the shuttle back, we popped outside but couldnt see any shuttle drivers, so my husband went inside to ask the hostess only to be dismissed with a theyre usually around. We waited outside for 10 minutes until we found someone to bring us back to Sparkling Hill. Happy honeymoon to us
Everything was amazing AND we got a personal visit with one of the chefs!!!
Great food, great service, great views! We will be returning for sure!
My boyfriend and I enjoyed a fantastic meal here last night for my birthday dinner. The Slow Braised Beef Obie was SO DELICIOUS! I would go back just for that dish.
Pretty brutal experience. Was suppose to be a date night dinner, Appy, dinner, desert, Oct 8. (which was advertised) server said it wasnt available. Server was pretty good and the place was nice though. Wasnt worth the drive from W. Kelowna.
Amazing experience
Great food and friendly staff.
Great food! Service was beyond exceptional. We left full and happy!
Had a Fabulous time at the Simulator playing Golf
Amazing food ! Amazing service Travis, Shelly, Kim, and Louis can t say enough about these people. Food is consistent and full of flavour, chef brings new creations on specific nights and these are amazing. Thanks Chef for the consistency.
The Date Night special on Saturday nights is good value for exceptional food
Theres a reason why this place has such ratings. Service is amazing, food is delicious, portions are very generous as well. This place is a must if you are visiting Vernon and the surrounding areas.
Absolutely atrocious food. My husbands obie was over cooked and my salmon was cold. Terrible experience
Oysters were amazing and service was great!
Excellent golf experience! The staff were some of the nicest and polite. The course was in immaculate condition and the pace was spot on...well done! We will be back!
Idyllic views, excellent service and food. Great place for both casual or special occasions.
beautiful view, nice kitchen
Great meal after cool weather golf. Service was good and all our meals were delicious.
One of the best places in vernon!! We thoroughly enjoyed Great food and great hospitality :)
The worst service I have ever received. Took 40 min to get us our department drinks and they were terrible. One table in our group complained and they compt drinks for that table, but not the drinks that came at the same time for the rest of the group.... Paid top notch prices for far below average service....
This is a superb patio with great food to sit back and relax in the sun. Emphasis on local ingredients, particularly on the drink list, with a few of the local wineries and breweries represented.
Food was amazing!!
I was blown away by the price, quality of food, and amazing service. I would recommend going here to everyone. Our server, Maryam, was amazing! She was extremely knowledgeable, had a bubbly personality, and always made sure we were well looked after even on the busy evening we came in. By far the best server Ive ever had at any restaurant. Again, phenomenal service, phenomenal food, you HAVE to eat here, would recommend going here over Sparkling Hill!
View is spectacular. Dos was good too!
Nice spot and food was good but a little bit delayed.
Beautiful view. Excellent tuna poke. Excellent service.
food was alright. the view is great. was staying at sparkling hill resort decided to eat dinner here one of the nights. May return!
They were super accommodating with allowing our celiac friend to order off the dinner menu early, but then the service dropped off the face of the planet. Took almost 30 minutes to order food after our drinks arrived and then after the food arrived we had no check up to make sure our food was okay, no one came to see if we needed more drinks nor could we find our server when we wanted to leave. We ended up asking a different server for our bill and then finally saw our original server on our way out the door. It was disappointing based on everything we had read.
Waiter felt extremely rushing. Took plates off table, and offered to-go boxes before we were even done with our plates. Food absolutely mediocre. I truly never leave bad reviews anywhere, but this was FAR from tasting like a $100 meal. We are vegetarians. Perhaps their meat dishes are great, but please do your wallet a favor and skip this place if you are VG/VN.
Great accommodating feel when first entering the place, however it diminishes quick with the slow service & food quality. Vegetarian dishes came quite bland, burnt & horrid tasting. Really tasted like they purchased their food from a Save On and heated it up in the microwave. The place looks fancy, however the quality of the food was brutal, especially going in with all these high expectations from others. Would not go back.
Had a great evening there with the family and kids. Ordered a pretty wide variety of dishes and all were excellent, I had the bulgogi which was delicious. We started with calamari and truffle fries which were both excellent. Usually I am thrown off by calamari with a sauce other then tzatziki, but the sauce was delicious. The service was excellent and we had our drinks and cocktails prepared as ordered and provided with care.
Great family dining experience! Food and service was great.
Come for the food, stay for the view. And cocktails.
good for after golf beers
Currently we are living the life of wildfire evacuation and have been graciously housed the whole time by Predator Ridge. Those first few days with the uncertainty of our houses, cooking let alone eating seemed to be a struggle. We decided that night to have a little family date night, enjoy the beauty of a view of desert golf hills and get some nourishment. We called ahead and got ourselves a reservation as was advised. We arrived for dinner and they were near capacity at current conditions but everyones tables felt comfortably private. Blake our server, greeted us promptly with a pleasing table side manner, joked with our child and enjoyed her drawings. He warned us ahead of time they were at the busy time and food could be a wait which was appreciated, but that he could start us a drink and get us comfortable. Drinks came as we viewed the menu which I felt had something for everyone, including a childrens menu. After ordering our meal, we finally started relaxing a bit and not worried about fires. We joked, laughed and decompressed. Blake came by and checked in on us and soon our meal came The meals are a healthy portion of freshness, a work of food art that soon ended up in my belly. My first full meal in days. We went back to our evacuation home on the Ridge and our experience at your establishment helped jumpstart our family night
Had a great time there. Great views from the patio. Nacho was loaded and the waitress were very polite. Worth the visit even if you dont golf, like me. Very well run.
Great place! Highly recommended
Awesome food and service
Great view..... other than that.... food poisoning!!!!!! I was sick after my first visit, friend of mine sick after a second visit. Will never go back.
The food is consistent and very good. We are never disappointed
Great place with beautiful scenery and delicious food and service.
The steaks were great and the views were fantastic looking out over the golf course. Our waiter, Luis, was very friendly and attentive and gave us some great travel tips as we were on a road trip across Canada.
The food was wonderful, service not so much.
Nice spot! Wide selection of meal choices and cocktails.
Delicious. A surprising amount of vegan options
Chelsea, Luis and Cam made our date night. Thank you so much. Food was terrific. Service was top notch. Virtual range and transportation was awesome. We came down from Sparkling Hills and are glad we did.
Friendly knowledgeable staff. Great variety on menu.
I would say it one of vernon best restaurants in the city limits . with a great group of servers with a beautiful atmosphere
This is a wonderful amenity for our neighborhood. Great food, friendly staff, well managed and great atmosphere.
The service and food was top notch
It was fantastic! Will come again
The bartender Samer was fantastic! Had an awesome evening and will definitely be back soon.
Great experience. Great food. Great service. Very attentive staff. They were so amazing that I went two nights in a row :-)
We went to the Range for the date night combo. Louis provided excellent service and we had the perfect evening! The medium rare steaks were cooked to perfection. My left over steak made excellent steak and eggs the next day. Thank you to everyone who made our evening so enjoyable.
Went for breakfast while on vacation. The food and service was good.
Food was good, service was great. Ambience nice, had difficulty reserving other than 5:15 and 8 pm, yet it seemed empty when we left at 6:30.
Food was amazing and service was top notch! Our server Blake was the highlight of the night!
Wow, just wow. From start to finish, just a wonderful experience. We had a server who was highly rated on here (Blake) and he was just a DOLL! Amazing service, wonderful food and so many laughs from Blake. Highly HIGHLY recommend The Range. Beautiful patio!!
Burger was great. Ceasar salad was lackluster. Service was mediocre. Ambiance on patio was nice.
We had a wonderful dinner at the range! My 7 year old daughter loved her burger and the butter chicken and ahi tuna bowls were fantastic! Steve was a wonderful waiter; very attentive!
Great food and dressings where fantastic
Food wasnt that great
Amazing food!!!
Great cocktails and outstanding appetizers
Great atmosphere with a large selection tempting dishes in the menu. Really good service as well.
The service here is top notch!
Great place to eat and great atmosphere and staff
Great service and fab food!
Delicious. Wonderful service. And even smokey the views were amazing
Beautiful views from our table on the patio; excellent food, lots of choices and portions are large; I had the crispy chicken burger with fries and a salad which were all delicious; our waitress was amazing! Can t wait to come back here next time we re in Vernon
Beautiful view sitting on the patio. Food was exceptional
Beautiful patio and friendly service by a retired lady who likes to play golf. food is tasty. The Thai curry prawn bowl is a tad on the salty side, very generous portion. Overall, decent experience!
Very good louge and grill. The food is good and the prices are on par. Beautiful establishement with a beautiful view. Its the perfect place to go relax and have a drink on their patio with friends or on a date. It is also kid friendly so I like to take the family there for lunches.
Love to go here the views are amazing.
One of the best dining experiences in the Okanagan.
