Not sure why 3.2 rating, we ate here 3 times this week, different servers and different items. Everything was great, we waited a bit for food on Father s Day but expected.

Always wanted to try this place but i skipped it do to the bad reviews, But decided to give it a shot today and i have to say everything was excellent. Pizza, fish, and meatballs I like their menu so definitely going back. I also like that it is not noisy at all easy to talk to people.

I was there almost an hour, waiting/and trying to get my money back from the uneaten salad (I picked up and they put it in a huge bag-so it was not until I got it back to the hotel and opened it up, I seen what was inside) - My $22 Calfresco salad came in a small fries box - no avocado, no goat cheese, no turmeric dressing, cold chicken from the fridge and the wrong type of lettuce. I have this salad all the time and this was a disgusting attempt to blatantly cheat me. They refused to return my money on my M/C, saying they didnt have a code, as thy couldnt get (6:30PM) a hold of the manager. I finally asked for a gift card, that I can use elsewhere. The whole experience was a waste of time and extremely stressful.

Pizza cooked in Pizza over with hand tossed dough. Best Pizza In town. Will definitely be going back!!

We went in last night for dinner which was February 27th 2024 we arrived at 6pm waited 20 minutes before saying something and before being served drinks services was extremely disappointed considering it was extremely quiet the food was okay but the service was extremely poor we shouldnt have to speak up and complain before being noticed when theyre hardly any customers I wouldnt be recommending this place to others sorry due to the poor service and bad vibes its like they want to be paid for standing around and doing nothing

Dirty dishes, cold and old food, only one in four of us ate it, horrible. Sent a dirty cup back only to have her bring a second dirty cup. Avoid this place.

A great brunch that was delivered in a timely manner and really good coffee. Parking: Not hard to find a spot. Kid-friendliness: Kids were at other tables and in provided highchair, I believe. Good choices for kids on the menu too. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access for wheelchairs.

Pancakes were inedible so our whole table had to send them back. Everything else just tasted like oil. They still charged us for the majority of our meal even though most of it got sent back. $55 bill with 5 of us sharing 2 meals in the end. Worst breakfast I ve had anywhere. Would rate zero stars if I could.

Definitely a disappointment today. Been here a number of times, and today will be the last. The chicken that was ordered smelt like it had gone bad. Each piece had a awful smell and felt like rubber. We frequent the Kelowna location and have never had anything like this happen there.

I give a -0 Mar 31 23 we went for lunch n ordered a beef dip it was sloppy leftover scraps very little beef n fries were prep heated n gravy was so clumping and this was Cooked by the manager of the Rickys in Vernon. (We left right away). I loved it years ago KNOW it so dirty in side n food has gone down hill will not ever go back

In retrospect, I should have known to go somewhere else from the moment I walked in. It was dead, during Sunday happy hour. The booths were dirty, there was tape on the walls and ceiling, but I was hungry. I ordered the cali-something salad with chicken and no feta cheese. They correctly made it with no cheese (points there!), but the salad was disappointing. The chicken was cooked to death, the avocado was marred with brown spots and evidence of rough handling, the greens were untrimmed with wilt and browned edges, there was an enormous amount of raw onion, and the dressing has no flavour - just sweet. I didnt see how bad it was on a cursory inspection due to the dingy dim lighting, but I ought to have left and gone somewhere else. The white bun was nice, with echoes of garlic butter glazed across the top, but it did not save me impression of this meal. For the same price, I would go to any other pub / diner in Vernon. If I ever visit a Rickys again and have a similar experience, there will be no third chance. (Im posting this review so that I remember to go somewhere else).

Absolutely horrible, my breakfast bowl was cold, chicken stripsfor my daughter were soggy, boyfriends chicken and waffles were soggy. He ended up getting sick. I had refused to pay for such poor quality and when we were leaving we over heard our waitress say we should have been grateful and just eat it. The wait staff were incredibly rude and we will never go back to that poorly run establishment

After eating half of the sandwich I had ordered, I realized the dressing was missing. The sandwich was very dry. The waitress said the cook was out of that dressing so served the sandwich with no dressing. No effort was made to provide the meal at no cost or provide a gift certificate for a future meal. Terrible service. I will never dine there again.

Never again. Ordered eggs benny cooked medium. Eggs were undercooked, hollandaise was flavourless, hash browns were almost raw. On a positive note, the coffee was good, as was the service. Waitress discounted our bill. We won t be back.

The carpet was not clean, service was alright. The bathrooms were disgusting and didn t have any toilet paper. We were there at 7:30am no one else was there was one group that left when we got there so it obviously was not cleaned from the day before. The food was mediocre at best!

Staff was accomodating of my wifes scent allergies and offered to reseat us when they noticed another customer came in swimming in her perfume. Also gave us some delicious desserts when hearing it was my wifes birthday as well. Food was great! Overall a very nice experience. 5 stars

The pizza was very good could have used a little more toppings and cooked a little more on the center also putting the toppings a little closer to the crust edge. The wing could of used a little more cooked the flavor not so good. We will be back over all it was a pass and the waitress was excellent

Amazing food and service just the price was to much.

Not the greatest experience. Service was slow and seemed chaotic, not sure if there was a shift change or what. But it took a while to get our order taken. Food was ok but tasted salty and the bottom had burned noodles. It was not hot but warm. Thoughts of them running a lasagna through the pizza oven came to mind. But we must have caught them on an off night I hope. But the skip the dishes and door dash drivers seemed to be busy picking up orders.

Coleslaw with parsley and what seems like brocolli? The chicken and shrimp tasted like they were fried in at least 2 week old oil. The beef on the Cheese steak was like chewy leather. This was our second time trying hee do not reccomend.

Never order skip from them. They never include everything thats supposed to come with the meal. Example, I ordered the peach cobbler pancakes supposed to have some crumble on it, warm sugar peaches and whip cream. I receive my order.... I get pancakes with three uncooked peaches, no crumble and no whip cream! Thanks Rickys, you messed up AGAIN!

Terrible waitperson with no mask on!! So everyone knows we have to wear masks (mandatory) so this waitperson is walking around and jumping over chairs in the restaurant for no reason, with no mask on!!! Takes our order for 2 x turkey dinners, and then doesn t know what needs to come out, and misses the Caesar salad completely, and we have to ask him to get our pumpkin pie?? No beers on tap (as their frozen???) and red wines on the list not in stock at all?? So disappointed as recommended by the Holiday Inn opposite! Someone needs to sort out what s happening in this place and wish I had read the reviews before visiting. I wanted to walk out, and heard an older couple asking why he wasn t wearing a mask! Please avoid this place until someone addresses the health risks of having someone like this in your business.

Absolutely the worst. Came in at just before 6pm, had our drink order taken, then after about 10 minutes, had our food orders taken. Then sat for almost an hour with no communication from our server other than the main for one of our group coming out before their appetizer. And that was horrible and inedible, but nobody came around. Finally decided enough was enough and decided to leave. Had to search out our server in the bar area, who offered our meals to go. Never an explanation and a half hearted apology when we refused. Not worth your time.

Rickys is just another typical franchise restaurant with the basic generic dishes. Although the food was edible it was a bit more to the pricey side with coffee being 5 dollars for a small cup. The portions are sufficient but the eggs taste like they were freshly poured out of a carton and the bacon was on the burnt side of unexible. I only gave it two stars because of the honesty of the server letting us know about the backlog in the kitchen.

We went to ricky on Thursday Feb 17 2022 at 640 in the morning. The toast was white,l sent it back and seriouly 10 minutes passed,the waitress brought it. My eggs were full of grease.My pancakes were like old.Hard to cut l needed a steak to cut my pancakes.The bacon was So tiny n burnt. We live on silverstar mountain....WE WILL NEVER RETURN.!!

Probably the worst club house sandwich Ive ever had, Soggy lettuce,one small leaf in the entire thing,soggy tomatoes,, the bread tasted stale and just the entire experience was un-pleasant and yet it was recommended by the staff,maybe their sandwiches are built better then mine was.

That was probably the worst *famous* burger I have ever had. Server didnt ask us how our meal was. Well, Ill write it for you. I tried not to complicate the meal so that the cooks could follow the two add ons with no cheese. The *famous* Burger came with wrong bun that wasnt even on the photo, patty was so dry it was falling apart, there was about a tsp of sauce on both of our burgers. The multigrain bun was sooooo thick and so dry, with so much bread, it definitely added to the dryness of the burger and absorbed any hope of sauce. The bacon could have passed for leftover bacon bits they were so overcooked and hard, it actually hurt to chew. I think the mushrooms may have even been canned they were slimy and weird. We both had a long day and roughed it out, and ate the burgers, but we are both now full of extreme regret. Ill add the fries had zero salt or seasoning or anything, you could taste the bad oil on them. Which clearly hadnt been changed. You definitely dont want to order dinner here, especially the burgers .

Wow.... The burger I had was so dry and bland I almost just didnt eat it... I havent eaten fast food in 7+ years and I still would have rather eaten McDonalds worst burger... The bacon was so hard and overcooked it hurt my teeth to eat it and I wouldnt finish my fries because they were unsalted/seasoned and just tasted like dirty fryer oil... DEFINITELY will not EVER eat here again, I suggest doing the same .. we have many good burger options available in town. We need to let this place die so something new can take its place.

We had a location in Kamloops years ago and I miss it. The breakfasts and lunches have never disappointed, good portions and reasonable prices.

Worse choice! We sat down and the waitress told us they had no shrimp , no mashed potatoes and no Cesars salad. I ordered beer battered fish and fries with gray . It eventually came after a long wait ( 1 other table of people in the place ) the fish was burned and the inside was mush with grease oozing out onto the plate. The fries were already cold and mushy and the gravy was very lumpy with a thick skin and tasted like old grease . I made a very bad choice and I hope you dont make the same choice

Stopped in for supper tonight got sat right away and she brought my pop and that was it sat there for 15 min watching her on the other side of restaurant looking at her phone and the other waitress just kept walking around mostly behind the devider wall there were only 2 other tables sat in the whole restaurant and not one of the servers had time to take my order so I left some money on the table to pay for my pop and walked out Horrible service thats probably the reason fir there only being 2 tables at 6pm Wont stop in there again

Ordered to pick up. Arrived 4 minutes late and still had to wait another 10 minutes. They were not busy. Paid over $16 for mac and cheese and I got a cup. Literally in a cup container. No bread which it says it has. No salsa or sauces for nachos. We eat out alot and this is the worst I have seen for value. Will not be going back.

Terrible lunch unfortunately. Not busy (2 tables) but almost an hour for our meals. Fish was greasy and overly battered. Fries were overcooked. Had to wait extra time for a burger to arrive thatwas made wrong. Disappointing... being in the service industry I dont leave poor reviews usually. Hope they can fix what needs help.

Ordered a Benny with egg whites - order came and they gave me egg with yolk that were poached with very runny yolks - which in return run all over the rest of the food Decided I would just eat the hash browns but they were cold! As much as I would eat Cold hashbrowns I felt that the whole meal was pretty much a screwup- They offered to make me a new one but we all know how that goes- I declined and said that we didn t have time anyway to wait another 45 minutes The bill came and I had paid it without looking and Then realized that she charge me for the the meal- I said why did you charge me I sent the whole thing back and didn t even take a bite it was not what I ordered and she replied with well I did take 15% off for you so that s all I can do Won t be going back

Rotten banana. Three thumbs down. Why did the nachos have ranch dressing on it? Chicken chunks and no salsa hardly any cheese. No peppers. One green onion and one green tomato. Server didn t know if they had red wine went downhill in last years I guess

At 5:00pm on a Monday we waited over 29 minutes to not even be given a water to start. We made up 3 of the 4 people in the restaurant. I am pleased that the hostess acknowledged that we were left waiting and the kind thing of telling us where other local hot spots were, since we were all from our of town.

Service was friendly although I didnt care for the breakfast for the price I paid. Maybe next time I will try their dinner?

We stayed at the hotel so ordered take out for supper. They quoted us 20 - 30 minutes. When we walked down to get it they quoted us another 20 minutes. (There was only 2 tables in the restaurant at the time) When we did get our food they forgot the soup and the food was cool and soggy. It seems like it had been sitting. Portion sizes were good and the food was half decent. But nothing special. May have been better hot ? I dont think I would eat here again

Love their liver with mashed potato, the house white wine is also worth to check out. Im sure everything else is great as well (and it doesnt destroy your back account :)

It was busy and they seemed a bit short staffed but the staff who were working were doing their best and gave great service.

We just had dinner and my husband enjoyed his ginger chicken bowl. There was only one server (the young man from Yorkton, Sean?) who was running around doing everything - greeting/seating guests, bussing, taking care of the bar area, serving the meals and dealing with take out orders. A LOT for one person. Unfortunately, he ACCIDENTLY broke some glasses. The owner stopped in and was yelling at the young man in front of the customers...VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Accidents happen. Owner could have helped out..just saying.

Service was good. We were able to be seated right away. Servers were quick and friendly and kept our drinks topped up. Breakfast was good and they gave you a big portion for your money.

When we arrived they told us wait time for food was appox 1 hour. I thought they must be swamped. When we got in there were 7 or 8 tables of guests. I thought must be really short staffed. I counted 7 or 8 waitresses. Maybe no cooks because food was lousy. Dishes were disgustingly filthy. Obviously managed by someone who just DOESNT care. I will never go back. NEVER !!!

Service was great - food was promptly served and the waitress was pleasant, but I ordered an omellete and it was very over-cooked. Was supposed to be a chicken and avocado omellete, but the avocado chunk was not much bigger than a plum. Overall a bit disappointing quality from the kitchen.

Didnt find it very clean. When you walk in we could smell old oil. Then we said 3/4 of ahour before the waitress came over and said our order was late going and it would be another 10 to 15 minutes. We cancelled the order and left. Not good.

Rickys is in the hotel where Im staying, and I often go there for dinner out of convenience. More often than not, theres some sort of problem. Burger bun was dry and falling apart. The menu says you can order a lettuce wrapped burger so I did that and they used shredded lettuce, how am I supposed to handle that? Theyre always closing early because of staffing issues, which is fair because everyone is having that problem right now. Tonight I went there and the hostess told me they cant serve me because theyre short staffed and are swamped.. I look around to see only 4 other tables dining. Pretty frustrating. However the staff is really nice and friendly so Ill give them that.

Went in on sunday night while staying at the holiday inn, only went there because of the discount and we had a gift card. the food was terrible, the waitresses were over worked, but friendly and patient, the kitchen staff seemed to take forever, perhaps understaffed? there was like 5 tables and it seemed like at times the waitresses were standing around waiting for food to be cooked to serve. wouldnt go back, not even for the discount

Took quite a while to get our food, and when we did, it was disappointing. My kids didn t even attempt to finish their pasta, and the wrap I had was so dry, and the fries couldn t even be revived with salt or ketchup. Our first time there and unfortunately I don t think we will return. :(

Polite service. Our wait for our order was just under an hour. For breakfast. The food quality for the price was okay. The toast, when it arrived was burned. The reason for the low score is due to waiting for so long for premium priced breakfast.

Only about 5 tables of people were busy at the restaurant. I Asked for crispy bacon, server said no problem. Received cold 1/2 raw bacon. Server just said the kitchen is so busy and no compensation!!! The bacon should have been cooked and warm on the minimum. Server should have said that the kitchen was really busy and not sure when I asked. The meal was not cheap, but i will not be recommending or supporting Rickys going forward.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! We stopped here for dinner due to its proximity to our hotel, but when half way through my food I found what I can only guess is a metal (maybe plastic) bead strip that fell in from whoever was preparing it. Given the current COVID times when extra precautions should be being taken by all food establishments this is totally unacceptable that something like this should end up in my salad. Other than that the service was slow and forgetful considering we were virtually the only table in the place, and my lasagna was far too oily with little meat and too much pasta. I wouldn t eat here for the quality of food they served, but then when you consider their cleanliness standards at the moment I wouldn t go near them again! If only Google would let you give less than zero could I give them the score they deserved, one star is far too generous.

We stayed at the Best Western that this restaurant is attached to and ate here twice. We did not enjoy our meals. Specifically, I ordered the avocado toast - when it came, the avocado was old (had lots of black spots on it) and the lettuce leaves were completely wilted. For supper, we ordered our meal to take to the room and asked for no onions. The meal took twice as long as we were originally told to be ready (50 mins as opposed to 20) and when we opened the box, both dishes had onions in them. Overall, we were disappointed with the quality of the food and service and would not return to this restaurant.

After all their advertising about authentic Schnitzelfest we decided last week to visit Rickys in Vernon. We got there around 5.30. There were only a couple of tables having dinner. We ordered the Schnitzel Neptune and the Schnitzel Hunter style. I ordered a beer which was excellent, had a nice head which proofs that it was a clean glass. As for the schnitzel, the waitress mentioned that they were out of pork because it was so popular: So we took chicken instead, not what we came for! Somebody might believe there is no pork, but not me. Stores are 5 minutes away that had loads of pork loin on special! My Schnitzel had some kind of gravy with black mushrooms. My wifes had shrimps which was good. I wrote to the chef making the menus and mentioned that a pork chasseur [hunter style was served in a red wine sauce with bacon, pearl onions and mushrooms. If the mushrooms are black toss them and start fresh, dont serve them and figure its okay. It is NOT. As for the Wiener schnitzel, I mentioned that it was a trade name and had to be veal and nothing else. As a professional chef and Restaurateur , stuff like this annoys me greatly. As of today Rickys has not bothered to reply, so obviously they do not care. We will pick a different restaurant next time. I would have thought they care a bit more for their customers, I guess i was wrong.

Overcooked omelet. Chicken tasted like press chicken. Hashbrowns overcooked. Waitress was friendly and service great.
