Service was good but the food was terrible. Chow mein was dry and bland. Sweet and sour pork was just overcooked and chewy bits of meat drowned in pineapple juice. Definitely not worthy of the tip I left.

Today was our first time trying The rice box, and we will not be going back. Chinese food from the mall is better. Everything was bland and looked like it was from the frozen food section at the grocery store. Save your money and go to the mall instead for low quality food.

This is my number 1 go-to for gluten-free Chinese food! Handy tips: they can sub the beef and broccoli sauce for the gluten-free black bean sauce. Truly excellent!

Terrible food here! I ordered the ginger beef and it was the toughest, blandest meat I ve ever had. My wife ordered the soup and it was awful too. Had more sodium than instant noodles. Do not order from here

New to town and treated poorly. Walked in and wanted to make an order to go. We were told wed have to order outside from our car or theyd have to ask our vax status. Incorrect, you are not a sit down restaurant so you cannot ask me that. Had they let us order inside we would have waited outside for our food. But being ushered outside like that felt super rude. There were no other customers inside, so what was the big issue? We wont go back.

THE FOOD IS SUCH BAD QUALITY FOR SUCH A HIGH PRICE! My boyfriend and I ordered the chicken chow mien, miso soup, and sweet and sour pork. The meat in both dished was terrible. The pork had bones in every single bite while the chicken was covered in grizzle. My miso soup had barely anything but broth in it... Absolutely bad quality for wayyy too much money. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

The food was gross plain and Im telling u know the ginger beef is not ginger beef its beef cuts put in gravy lol like where u learn ginger beef cook go back to school but ya not recommended unless u like knock of rice box and for the price get a grip what a rip off if u want plain food and cold this is the place to go well done great name ur making for yourself guess u dont read your review much lol shut them down that pic is ginger sauce lol taste like scallops and fish

Surprised to see some uncomplimentary reviews. I ve been going there for almost a decade and their sesame chicken is to die for. Big chunks of lightly battered chicken with their signature sauce. It s the first dish I tried and have never ordered anything else!

Ordered a few different dishes. Portion size was small compared to other Asian take outs in Vernon. Biggest issue, all 3 of us had suspected food poisoning after our meal here. Never again.....

Vegetarian options: We got the tofu chow mein and veggie fried rice. It was ammmazing!

The wonton soups tastes like someone poured cough syrup in there. So weird. Seriously had a cherry taste. The lettuce wrap filling was overwhelmingly DOUSED in peanut sauce. The Shanghai noodles and Chow main were alright. The owner was friendly but friendly doesnt resolve cherry flavored wontons and peanut sauce leaky lettuce wraps.

Bad food, they gave me 3 tiny slivers of chicken and absolutely no vegetables in our chicken chow mein and they defrauded me by rounding up the total on my Interac total, rounding up is for cash totals and not debit or credit. It was my first time coming here and I am new to the city. I will never be back and I will tell everyone about my bad experiences.

Poor quality meat. Not very flavorful (sweet & sour pork was awful; spring rolls were bland; black pepper beef was watery). Small quantities for the price.

It was okay, the chow mein was dry and the spring rolls were average. But the lemon chicken was really good. Good portion sizes.

If you want Chinese food in a box like the movies? This is the spot! Their light boxes are good, the chow mein is the best in town, and they dont play with their meals for one. The style of food isnt for everyone, but if its yours, this is a solid choice. Their online ordering services are good, and they have a pick up service where they bring the food out to you. Note: this place does Western Chinese food, so if youre looking for authentic Chinese cuisines, youre probably going to be disappointed.

Awesome food, friendly staff. My only complaint is there website. They do not list all the ingredience. I ordered a pork stir fry and it was mostly grilled chunks of pineapple and it did not even say online the order that it had pineapple. total ruined my dinner. I hate pineapples! They need to be more specific and include real personalized pictures of there meals. Other than that they do give a huge servings of food. Hope to see this improve. Very frustrating because its decent food.

They make home styled food that I remember learning to make and cause of that the flavor and texture of the food is better than a lot of the Chinese food places that are similar. Would definitely recommend this to friends and family as you get a lot of food for the price you pay!

I like boxes and I do in fact like rice but when I asked for a box and rice on the side for dinner they said Ok! But when they came back to my table THE RICE WAS INSIDE OF THE BOX I ASKED FOR IT ON THE SIDE

The customer service was great the food however was terrible 12 dollars for miso soup they assured me it was worth it, I got 6 peices of tofo and one green leaf thats it, almost 20 dollars for this chicken chowmain no veggies not fresh was 60 dollars and very tiny amount of actual food the miso was large like they said.

Honestly if I could give no stars I would, i dont rate restaurants ever yet my experience was probably the worst amd quiet frankly worst chinese food Ive ever got. Spent 80 for soggy sweet and sour, soggy ginger beef with no spice or flavor ect, I literally bagged it up and brought it to my moms for them for dinner and they even said it was disgusting. The only thing we did eat was the almond chicken. Waste of money and extremely disappointing!

Hit and miss, I ordered almond chicken and a large steamed rice at 7pm on a Saturday. There was very little sauce and the chicken was soggy in the middle and crispy on the edges. I also have to wonder how you mess up rice, it tasted dirty and was more like sticky paste. Ive ordered from here 3 times and have had 1 good experience. I think Id rather get the ingredients and make it at home for $20/order

Delivery was fast .... but the food was awful. The chowmein was soggy and tasted odd. Never had this place before but was told it was very good food always fresh but somehow mine didnt taste fresh. I get maybe I shouldnt have ordered new years day. The people were friendly Ill give it that. No point in calling to complain as I wont ordering from there again.

In my experience, online ordering has always worked as intended. Options for those who dont want everything deep fried. Good value. Not overly greasy. Tasty. Cute boxes so you can feel like youre in a sitcom.

I always order from here but today was like no other experience but even tho my food was a little later then expected the gentleman came and was teaching his 2 little girls how to work and that was really sweet! And he didn t have the right change for me so he actually tried to give me over the change needed back I asked for him to just split the tip with him and his daughters absolutely the coolest delivery I ve ever had and the sushi is absolutely amazing

The veg chow mein had maybe three pieces of broccoli and then it was just noodles. I would pay more for vegetables, but.. at least let me know! A box of noodles is not a full meal.

Usually really good food my family gets food here a lot. Ive only had one incident where I ordered some sushi for delivery and it just tasted off and not good but Im sure they just had a small mishap. The owner is very friendly and tends to remember customers by name when they come in a lot. I would definitely recommend at least trying this place once

Best chow mein and spring rolls!

Definitely not Szechuan as the sign suggests. Asian fusion is a better description (Cambodian and Japanese dishes on a Szechuan menu?!) and the food taste reflects this, so if youre after authentic Chinese then youll be quite disappointed. On the positive, this restaurant is technologically ahead in their ordering system with an app, texting, etc. and staff were friendly when ordering in person.

The Chow Mien, in my opinion, is the best I have ever had. The Almond Chicken is crunchy, tender, and packed with flavour. You might find the prices a bit higher than others but dont let this discourage you. Food is made fresh to order with quality ingredients. I come here once a week for lunch because its super fast to get food when you use their App.

Usually good food, but one night tried ordering online..not so good! went to pick up my order and it had fallen out of FAX machine..so they didnt know I ordered till I got there...ALL 3 OF THEM stopped doing cleanup( mopping,sweeping etc.) and prepped my food.NOBODY WASHED THIER HANDS!!!!!!!!!!! GROSS!!!!!! Havent been back since!

I have been a customer for many years and have found the food consistently enjoyable. Entrees are large. The light rice box is a perfect lunch and is good value.
