The Roxy Cafe in Vernon

This is by far the best vegetarian/vegan restaurant/cafe I ve been too, the food is so good I would definitely recommend the ranchero wrap or the badass veggie Sammy they are under new ownership but that doesn t change anything still good as ever the new owners are friendly, kind & understanding.

The Best Cafe in Vernon, lots of vegetarian and vegan food options, amazing coffee, beautiful ambiance, excellent customer service. Love this place!! Special thanks to Nitin & Suman for amazing food and service.

We had a latte and a rosemary tart - wow! 10/10 - we will be back with an appetite next time!

Best vegan breakfasts and lunches in town. Even non-vegans love their food, its that good. Their sourdough bread is so good, too.

Not a nice experience, felt prices are on a tad bid higher end. Tried matcha latte (minimal flavour) 12 oz for $7, so not worth it.

We had the Ramen bowl and the Taco Bowl. They were so delicious, good portion and very filling. I usually avoid vegetarian food but these dishes were full of flavour!

Stopped in here for lunch last week with my husband and we loved it! Im vegan but he isnt and we both enjoyed everything we ordered. The portions were very large, I think we could share next time. The food was delicious, coffees were awesome, staff were super friendly, and everything was nice and clean. We are both looking forward to coming back and trying more of their options! Another awesome visit here! The falafel wrap and the fries with the garlic sauce are delish!

Nice café offering vegan alternatives just off the main street. It was super busy when we came for lunch - they had one server on who had to do everything - take orders at the counter, make coffee, run meals and clear. Its only a small space but they should have someone else to help - a queue formed regularly at the door as people waited to place their order and dirty plates were left on the table. But the food was delicious - actually real sourdough, and the chilli was full of beans and came with avocado.

Gosh darn. Best service and food Ive ever had in Vernon. Im head over heals for this place. Amazing vegan wrap, great coffee, wholesome vibes, spectacular server. If you havent tried it, what are you waiting for. Half of my wrap because I got to excited when she brought it to me.

Serendipity brought us to The Roxy. They fit us in and served us even though it was closing time. Nice coffee. The Goddess Bowl - wow! And great music playlist. It s like somebody built this business just for me. I chatted with the local owners and my take is these folks deserve all sorts of visitors. So go to The Roxy Cafe and support this super café. You will be impressed.

Update! Coffee has since improved from last review. Had a gingerbread latte, they killed it 10/10. Tried the vegan cherry Danish 10/10, Im a HUGE FAN of the vegan pizza (that never happens), and the sweet potato fries were incredible. 5 stars!! Old review: Sooo good. Coffee was meh, but the burrito was out of this world. I will be baaaackkk

Rave! The Roxy Cafe in Vernon is nothing short of a town gem! The establishment sits unassuming among a tapestry of other quaint businesses populating the area. Once inside youll be met with modern, big city style that melds harmoniously with small-town warmth, and welcome. The grey walls are complimented perfectly by white trim, and the rustic wooden floors give pause of appreciation to the modest cafes stylish presentation. Gently cascading throughout the shop is a wonderous conjure of enticing aromas breakfast meeting with lunch while offering delectable enjoyments of sweets and other baked goods. To first timers, such as my forty-year-old self, the coffee menu can seem daunting at first glance, but the cafes employees are pleasantly eager and willing to help guide you through. I landed on a London Fog, and have ZERO qualms in proclaiming that it was THE best London Fog I have enjoyed to date! For their food offerings, my introspective call to breakfast demanded that I try their famed, Break-Wich Sandwich and once more Ill pontificate it was rapturously delicious. All the staples of a good breakfast are swaddled between two pillow-like pieces of artisanal bread. Glorious. Among the carefully selected decor of muted colours, sits a small rainbow flag, humbly declaring that any and all are welcome here. If youre in Vernon, do not miss out on the chance to stop in and visit one of the best coffee shops I have ever been to. Thank you, Roxy, for the hospitality, and satiating food and drink.

They put every good thing like eggplant and artichokes in one of their sandwiches and have so many other good vegan selections too. The Roxy cafe rocks! Makes you want to move to Vernon. It was very busy and a bit cramped when I came for lunch today though

Honestly - they knock it out of the park. Vegan croissants and all other sorts of goodies. Love their lunch offerings as well. You ll be a return customer for sure.

I love the Quentin Tarantino movie soundtrack music that plays in here. Its fitting given this is the café where they filmed a movie back in the summer of 2021. This was my first time here. I saw Fancy Fries and bought it. It came to $15.75 after tax. The bowl was much bigger than expected. I thought it would be a small bowl and lean more into a veggie poutine taste, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Overall, 5/5 and I cant wait to try some of the vegan options on the menu. For tourists outside of Canada who are having a tough time with understanding tipping culture: You dont tip at cafés as they dont do table service other than bring you your food, but you can give a small tip after the meal to show appreciation here. All stores, fast food, and restaurants give you the option to tip if you pay by card.

The other day I was lucky to have been a part of a group order that came from The Roxy Cafe!!! Well OMG it was SOOOOO GOOD!!! I am not vegan, however, what was ordered for everyone was vegan falafels, and they were DELICIOUS!!! Thank you for such a great lunch!!!

We are not vegan but decided to try this out. It was very good. We had the Green Dragon Bowl and the Butta Chickpea rice. Both delicious and filling. We will definitely come back.

Unreal almond croissant! Ive been to Paris, New York, Toronto etc and this by far is the BEST! Service is kind and the interior is super cute! The rest of the baked goods look just as yummy.. Must visit!

I had a falafel wrap. The falafel itself was excellent, very flavourful, however, the rest of the wrap was almost entirely lettuce. The description claims there was cucumber and tomatoes, but they were cut so small and so thin and there was so little I could barely detect them. I dont know why they chose to skimp on the veggies to that degree. I cant in good faith give them a better grade, but I do want to stress how good the falafel was. If they would just find it in them to put in the rest of the ingredients in reasonable portions, it could really be something special.

We picked that Café because they had lots of vegan foods and pastries. Well, we were not disappointed! Amazing bowl with fresh and tasty veggies with a nice sauce, the taco bowl was amazing looking and tasting delicious too (and quantity are more than satisfactory) The service was great and the ladies were very nice. We left when they closed and they offered us pastries that they would not sell no more!!! We felt spoiled and very happy they preferred to give it to us for free than throw them away. Thanks for the great lunch hopefully see you again!!!!!

Went there for a brunch and was extremely satisfied: the food is vegetarian/vegan, very tasty with good quality ingredients. Tried the Goddess bowl and the taco bowl, also the croissants (to go). The atmosphere is friendly and warm, with staff smiling and very courteous. Highly recommend!

Good food interesting selections

My friends son has metabolic disorder that he can t have any dairy foods. A friend recommended we try the Roxy as he said they had the best vegan food. He was absolutely correct! Bar none, hands down amazing food. I had the Butta chickpea wrap and it was sooooo good! He had a cinnamon bun and grilled cheese and said this is the best day ever! As he often only gets to choose between one or two things. Here he got the full menu to choose from. The staff are awesome and the food, amazing!! We ll be back again for sure. I could t add photos because we licked our plates clean. Kid-friendliness: Lots of choices for Vegan kiddos

Love this spot sooo much, honestly some of the best food in the area. Everything I ve tried has been so delicious, not to mention the GLUTEN-FREE and VEGAN pastries are a work of art. They have incredible freshly baked sourdough loaves if you can make it in time ;) Also this holiday drinks menu they offer SLAPS! If I could recommend everyone whether they live here or are just driving by Vernon . Make this a place to stop by.

The pastries taste great and are vegan. If this place had longer hours and and a vaccine passport wasnt required then I would give it five stars.

I stopped by here for a lunch and the experience was excellent. I had the vegan Breaky-Wich, a refreshing sandwich with lots of greenery and well-flavoured tofu. Great flavour and serving size with good quality ingredients. Service was fast, somewhere between 5-10 minutes which is more than acceptable. Their ginger cookies were tasty too! Pictured is half of the sandwich (I ate the first half before the picture).

Very tasty brunch/lunch spot. A wide and unique selection, cool interior and patio and flexibility for veggie or vegan needs. Highly recommend!

Recently discovered this great little cafe. The latte was amazing - creamy and strong and just perfectly iced. And they carry gluten free options for lunch menus that are tasty which is a huge plus for me Very friendly staff as well.

DELICIOUS!! My favorite restaurant in town and Im not vegan! Highly recommend, I have tried multiple things and everything has been delicious.

Today, I had to go to Nolans and behind Nolans is Roxys cafe which I hadnt tried yet. However I was just in for a coffee stop, and grabbed myself a cinnamon bun to go. While I was drinking my coffee this trendy cafe was buzzing with positive energy and the line was going out the door. There is also a nice Sun deck sitting area outside Roxys cafe however I chose to sit inside. I also appreciated the self-serve water with large Lemon floating in the water. Observing the customers I overheard other customers share their favorite dishes as well as how they learned of Roxys cafe. It is definitely a place that I would wish to go back to and try their lunches being sandwiches or salads and many more options to choose from! Vegetarian options: Vagan food served

The best vegan food I ve had! Everything is so tasty and flavourful - we got the Ranchero wrap, grilled mushroom sandwich, and the reuben. A perfect stop on the way back to Calgary for a quick bite but with restaurant quality! Loved the homemade sourdough too!

One of the worst meals ive ever had in Vernon. Staff are rude and snooty, you can really tell this place is overrun with vegans. All of the food is completely overpriced, bad portions and virtually tasteless. Very unhealthy as well, their meat substitutes are high in salt and fats. Avoid at all costs.

The ranchero wrap was amazing and so filling. It was hard to leave without treats but it was harder to figure out when we would have room again to eat them. Recommending this place to everyone!!!!

Had the Breaky-wich with egg and cheese and it was amazing. Best foccacia bread Ive ever had and the sandwich toppings were delicious. Great cappicino and butter tart for dessert and we left with a box of pastries as well. It was all so good!!! So glad to have finally had the chance to eat at The Roxy while visiting our dear friends in Vernon. PS the staff are great too!

Amazing vegan sourdough croissants and danishes. This is the first vegan croissant I ve had that is as good or better than the best traditional croissants. The sour cherry danish is a masterpiece! A nice crunch on the outside, with a hint of salt, and a light, fluffy inside, with generous sour cherries. Not too sweet. Pastry perfection!

OMG, what an awesome new restaurant we have ~ Vernon is soooo lucky! Everything Ive eaten here is out of this world, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the local family owned aspect ~ its what the world needs more of right! If you are lucky enough to get your hands on a Beignet... (lime and coconut are my fav) you will know e-x-a-c-t-l-y what Im talking about Pop in there today, ~ youre welcome!

Tried for the first time yesterday and we loved it! The falafel wrap and taco bowl are super tasty and filling. The baking is all vegan I was told, and quality was all top-notch Will definitely visit again!

Ate here for the first time and it was really delicious and flavourful! I got the badass vegan sandwhich on their home made sourdough bread and my boyfriend got the ranchero wrap. They were both so tasty and filling! Totally worth the price. If you are looking at the menu and thinking man everything is vegan I don t know what will be good, don t worry, just pick anything, these guys know how to construct a healthy flavourful meal :)

Gem in Vernon! Staff have always been super friendly, food always delicious, the coffee organic and hot! If youre vegan or not, there is something you will enjoy here. From the savory meals to the sourdough (dairy free) treats you are sure to find something! Currently there is no inside seating but they have a cute little patio which gets mid morning/ early afternoon sun. The only downside is there is no washroom that Im aware of right now and being downtown there isnt any other options either. I have the bladder of a toddler so have to plan my visits strategically haha.

Ordered in advance for lunch to be picked up. Got the soup and when I forgot the bread that came with it, one of their wonderful staff came RUNNING down the street to give me my bread. A+ service! The food is amazing - garlic dip is insane, and their felafel wrap is my favourite!

Great little eatery that caters to the vegan lifestyle! (Regular cheese is available). As someone with food intolerances it was awesome to be able to choose menu options that fit my needs. The breaky-wich was delicious! Great atmosphere! Exactly what Vernon needs. Definitely recommend checking it out!

Super cute cafe! Delicious vegan options! Love that all of their pastries are vegan so it makes selecting that much easier! Really enjoyed the almond danish and hot chocolate with oat milk :) Great little patio out front as well! The barista was very helpful and enthusiastic when explaining the menu. Will definitely be back each time I visit Vernon!

Went to The Roxy to grab breakfast today! So wonderful to find a place with so many vegan options while we visit Vernon. I had the breakfast sandwich, which I highly recommend, the way the tofu is cooked was amazing. My non-vegan partner had the Ranchero wrap (made vegan and was very impressed). Great patio as well, highly recommend checking it out!

I had a fabulous breakfast a few days ago., the breaky sandwich. Im not usually impressed with breakfast but I give them 5 gold stars! Great staff too. Recently I returned and we had an excellent Mushroom Soup.

I want to preface that I am not vegetarian or require gluten free, but I know so many people that are! So, it is delicious on both sides! The food is delicious. I was so happy that I went!

Awesome atmosphere, awesome food.

Overall very unimpressed. The service was poor (I had my dog with me and of course did not want to enter but wanted to ask if she could sit beside the patio while I ate). The two staff members were speaking to each other and not paying attention to the till/door. I had to say excuse me three times before they responded. I had the Ranchero Wrap and my friend had the Chickpea Sammy with no avocado (they gave her what seemed to be avocado) and my wrap had warm lettuce, and what seemed to be sweet potato and vegan chorizo sausage (neither of which was listed and neither of which was very good). Not the worst place I ve eaten but I certainly wouldn t recommend it. I was hungry but didn t finish my lunch.

Recognized your Cafe in Hallmark Movie last night. Nov. 20. Great!!

Ordered a very tasty mushroom soup today for lunch (eat in with a friend). Both of us burnt our mouths on this soup. Very hot soup served in a paper bowl with a flat wooden spoon is not the way to serve soup. No chance to cool down, especially when you have to eat and get back to work. So I left a half full bowl of soup. Yes, I could have taken it home, and yes it was tasty but not excellent. I understand not wanting to use plastic but what is wrong with a nice pottery bowl and a metal spoon. Sorry, not my thing.
