Pho Saté Restaurant in Vernon

We have frequented this restaurant for seven years. It is clean, the customer service exceptional and the food is consistently outstanding; fresh, plentiful and very reasonably priced. Add this one to your list for sure.

I go here all the time with my friend. It has a beautiful atmosphere and all the staff are incredibly friendly. Ive tried so many things but my favourite is their chicken pad thai. I literally crave this all the time.

This was my 1st time at Pho Sate and I have to say a real disappointment. The bubble tea was so sweet I had to bring it home and mix with milk and ice. It was clearly made from a powder and the pearls were hard and small. I had the prawn curry with vermicelli. There was a good number of prawns but the sauce was so salty I couldnt eat it and I had mixed it with the noodles. The broccoli tasted old and stale. Im used to Fresh Lemongrass which never fails but a friend and I decided to give this place a try. I dont think I will give this place another try as I said, too many disappointments across the board of what was ordered.

Not happy at all. Paid for parking. Came in, waited for a bit. Staff saw us and ignored just like we were not even there, only 1 table with customers in the restaurant at that time. Didnt even wanna try anything and walked out

The lady was cleaning the floor when we walked in, then brought us food without washing hands. She kept cleaning the floor when we ate and the smell of floor cleaner was so strong I couldn t even smell the food. The pho was not good at all, the noodles were too soft and the soup obviously used soup stock not homemade. Bean sprouts and limes were not fresh. The fried wontons had very little pork.

Disappointing Vietnamese food. Spring rolls appeared to be premade frozen Chinese style at a ridiculous price. Pork patty on the vermicelli was also premade frozen fast food. Soup tasted good.

Holy wow, this place was a good find! I had the pork spring rolls and the chicken/egg vermicelli bowl. Huge portion and SO DELISH! The staff was also super friendly and very attentive! Highly recommend checking this place out!

Great pho, dare I say best in town, friendly cou.ter service. Dining room and ambiance leaves much to be desired.

Excellent meal. Will come again. Shrimp wonton soup was packed with shrimp wontons in a delicious broth. The Vietnamese noodle bowls had excellent flavor and the shredded beef and thin sliced chicke n were easy to mix in with noodles. Portions were great and flavors amazing. Cant recommend enough.

Heard they have great soups! However, we ordered appetizers.... wont do that again.

I got takeout last night and it was so so good that I went back for more tonight. The most satisfying delicious vegetarian dinner I ve had in a long time! My son agrees!

Brought take out here. It takes 15-20 min to prep the food during peak hours. The food was great and the portion is big. Paid Street parking available.

Best pho I have ever had from here to ottawa!stopped at so many places in between and this one takes first place in my mind the broth is amazing the meat is delicious and the service is great. lovely lady at the front and seasoned cooks in the back the taste and presentation says it all. 100% a must try

Great value, super quick service and tasty food.

Our first time in the restaurant and we absolutely love it. Had the vermicelli noodle bowls with chicken and beef had the shrimp and the chicken salad rolls and of course some spring rolls. Some of the best Vietnamese food weve ever had.

Fast, consistent, top notch broth quality, amazing friendly, welcoming, family like service. Still affordable even during there rather expensive times. Cannot recommend this place enough, best broth in the Okanagan!

The food wasnt bad, but it was not what we expected and ordered. One dish was cold, for pho we only got less than a quarter of lime and few leafs of cilantro. We ordered pho sate, it was pretty good, but it did not tase like sate pho at all. Moreover there were no pearls in our bubble tea for which we asked. Currier was great, no complaints there.

Bomb! If you haven t tried it here, give it a shot. Friendly service. Ordered the chicken noodle soup with shrimp spring rolls. Good size portion with tasty broth and tender shredded chicken, and lots of it. Tasted homemade with quality ingredients.

My favourite Vietnamese place in Vernon! They give you really big portions and everything is delicious and all for a good price. The Pho is so good, the wonton soup comes with noodles (it might be my favourite), the pad Thai is delicious, and I love the lemongrass chicken with vermicelli noodles.

We had the rare beef pho, curry chicken and veg, and vermicelli bowls. Everything was tasty!

Their salad rolls with shrimp are amazing, I also love the dry noodles and stir fries. Great little mom and pop shop.

A tasty, fun surprise! The per-item price on apps was new to me. The size of the egg rolls were smaller than Im used to, but they were flavorful. The chicken curry with rice noodles was very good. The curry could have had a little more sauce, but the spice was neutral and the ratio of chicken to veggies was appropriate. The food arrived quickly and the staff was friendly. Would recommend for sure!

The Vegetable and Chicken soup is absolutely delicious!!! So much flavor and its really big portion. As an evacuee who was not home for almost a month ,that is exactly what I was craving for. Will be definitely back!!!Thank you

As compared to other pho places in Vernon its a bit pricy (about $2 more for a large bowl) and yet it was almost all noodles with very little protein, they did not provide lime or basil (instead they had lemon and very sad cilantro), and the broth was incredibly bland. Additionally, they did not check for covid vaccination.

Amazing quality food, large portions, excellent price, very nice staff, quaint environment. Stopped here after a rough road trip and the chicken soup warmed my soul. Will absolutely be back.

I came here October 2020 for the first time cause a friend raved about it, and fell in love with their broth... So much so that we added this as our lunch spot every time we come back to Vernon. We came back again this year and yep, the broth is still amazing. Hidden gem in Vernon!

Food has always been good here HOWEVER the lady server is quite awful.

We had chrispy chow mein noodles, vermicelli, spring rolls and salad rolls. It was fantastic.

I ve tried all the pho in town and by far this is my favourite spot. Beef ball is my fave with extra broth and Thai basil.

Nice to be able to get out again and support the local businesses..after this crazy covid..the service was excellent and so was the food..the owner also thanked us for coming out...so make an effort to support our local restaurants..and this is one that should be on your list.

Large portion of noodle, but not meat. The noodle is too soft, and easy to break, soup is good.

Generous portion, friendly owner and when you order large pho, it is certainly large! My wife and I were craving for some Vietnamese food and decide to pick up some from Pho Sate. It s a small joint in the downtown Vernon, abut the flavor is big! When we were deciding what to order, my wife was debating between a small or large pho, he honestly told us most ppl ordered small, it thinking about my wife s appetite we decided to go with large. When we got back to the hotel room and discover wow, there were a lot of food! After my wife were full, she was only on,y able to finish 1/3 of her food! My vermicelli dish was large with a huge pork chop and one spring roll and three prawns, and the portion was just right! Thank u again for the great food!

Highly recommend this hidden gem! Food was fresh and HOT! My husband and I agree we had the best won ton soup ever from Pho Satay! Spring rolls were were tasty and FRESH! We will definitely be back!!

Pho Sate is the real deal, run by an authentic Vietnamese couple! It is a hole-in-the-wall spot great for takeout as well as dine in, offering fast service. I ordered the #10 Special Beef Pho in Large size which came promptly with fresh bean sprouts, cilantro, a couple jalapeno rings and a small wedge of lime; however no Thai basil. There was several kinds of hot sauce available in a basket, including both chunky garlic chili and smooth sriracha versions. Unfortunately there was no Hoisin sauce however, only soy sauce; this and the basil would have earned the restaurant a full five stars.

Disgusting that why they make you pay in advance

Sorry, but the food was not good. Chicken Stir-fry was soggy & not fresh, like day old Chow Mein. Even the rice was wet. Was passing through & thought wed take a chance. Wont be going back.

Food was not very good. Pho broth was very plain, beansprouts were slimy and brown. Chicken stir fry was awful. Tasted like it was microwaved only a few very small pieces of broccoli that were limp and stale, spring rolls were small and greasy .. Will not be returning

Outstanding soups & service .. I m sure more is great but enjoy all the soups of all sorts.

This is a great little Vietnamese restaurant. They have a lot of tasty options. Its a great place if you have a special diet since there are a lot of gluten and dairy free dishes. They dont advertise that though. Try the vermicelli with porkchop. Its a very simple but delicious dish.

I feel like i got ripped off! i asked for a large pho with extra beef. paid about $16 with a pop. when i got the soup, i noticed that the amount of beef in the soup could be considered what you would get for just a regular soup! even then, i noticed there was hardly no broth and it was mostly noodles that filled up the bowl! I would not return to this dive!

Pho sate was not very spicy but the broth tasted amazing. Spring rolls are expensive, but crispy and tasty.

Salad rolls were tiny & spring rolls were horrible, looked like they were from Costco. Chicken Sate was good though

Absolutely the worst Pho ever!!! I ordered veggie spring rolls, definitely from frozen! Prawn salad wrap which they cut the prawn in half and gave 3 tiny little slices of prawn with refrigerator smelling noodles. On top of that I also got dry rice noodles with beef and fried onion. Haha I got dry noodles alright, with a pile of dry beef and 1 dried up onion slice. Do not waste your time!!!

Quality of the food was very good. Speed of service was exceptional. Portions for the price was the best I have had and I go to many Vietnamese restaurants in Alberta. Very friendly service! Nothing bad to say about this restaurant at all. You should try this one out!

I really, really enjoyed the the beef vermicelli bowl. The beef is cooked very well and the sauces are phenomenal. The guy at the till was very friendly and an awesome guy and I have nothing but good things to say about their amazing coffee, if you havent tried Vietnamese coffee I highly suggest coming here and giving it a try!

Came here while I was stopped at Vernon on my vacation. Friendly staff, portions are pretty big for the price, and it was delicious! I had the rare beef Pho. The noodles were a bit overcooked and softer than Id like but thats preference. All in all good value and taste!

Pho Sate served beef barbeque and pork spring rolls on rice vermicelli. I also had a large bowl of pho. Both dishes were alright. I was expecting a little bit more. They have got nothing on Big Bowl in Mississauga, Ontario.

The best pho place ever. The soup taste like real beef that has been boiled for a long time.r. Unfortunately it is in montana too far from Calgary. But if i lived close to this place I would definitely come back here every time i crave for it..

I ordered off of Skip the Dishes, i ordered some sea food dishes and a bubble tea, but they forgot the bubble tea. I called and spoke to a very friendly man, and he appologized and send out someone to deliver just my drink. And I appreciate that they were able to do it so quickly. The food and my bubble was amazing! Thank you

Worst Vietnamese food I ve ever had.

First time for lunch and the food was good.

So yummy! Good service and great prices. Best soup in Vernon. My son swears by the shrimp spring rolls. We love coming here for family meals- everything arrives quickly and consistently (which keeps the kiddos happy).
