Clean and nice place. Stopped here for lunch during road trip. The Bahn Mi was excellent quality. I ordered the pork. Bread was warm and soft, meat hot and tender. Flavor profile just right. Glad to have come across something just right outside Garden Grove SoCal.

We love it here! Have only gotten take out, so can not speak on the service. We usually get the pho and spring rolls, but a few other dishes are not to be missed! Also a big fan of the grilled beef noodle bowl, and the wonton soup.

Best pho in the area. Many great menu options, but I always gravitate back to the LS1 spicy special. The restaurant is very clean and the staff are very attentive. You always know you will get a great tasting meal, which is why I make this a regular pick-up spot, especially in the colder months!

It tastes good, but it feels light to me. The taste of the soup was not deep. A house you can stop by while passing through Hartford.

They have a few vegetarian/vegan options that are delicious! Tofu spring rolls and tofu vermicelli are my favorites, and their peanut sauce is awesome!

Food is delicious, as well as the bubble tea! I ve had the Crispy Crepe with Shrimp and Marinated Grilled Pork. FYI- the fried egg is $3.50 extra ( it doesn t come with the Pork, like I thought it would because of the photo on their website! ) Misleading and pricey for a fried egg!

This place is a hidden gem. An old friend lives close and put me on to them years ago. The service has always been amazing dining in. Take out is always painless and quick. I ve been going to this restaurant for about 3 years now and they are very consistent. I ve sat down and I ve ordered take out, both experiences are great and the food is tastes great, very authentic. They have a red chili paste that takes any of their dishes to the next level. If I forget that sauce I don t stop hearing about it until the next time I get it! I recommend the grilled pork chop, grilled chicken, and any of their pho. The beef rolls are great and happy rolls with some peanut sauce is my personal favorite. If you haven t tried this place please do! One thing they do need is to get more boba!

Fantastic pho and fantastic people here

Pholy I became a regular customer because its close to my house and pho taste so good to be true until recently found out they dont make proper pho broth. They use powder and some kind of additive to make broth taste so good and those additives are not good for health. A former employee confirmed it also. I always had doubts when I tasted broth It does not taste like Authentic pho . I did confront the boss lady and told her can you make me a proper new pho, it tasted weird and so salty and you are using powder. She took the pho back and brought the same pho back after 1 min. She thinks clients are stupid or something. Always remember It takes 8 hrs to 10 hrs to make proper pho broth. They are cutting corners. This is not an honest business practice. Avoid this place. Theres so many better options out there. People need to learn How authentic Vietnamese pho tastes like before making comments . I havent tried other dishes so no comment for other dishes. I hope this review helps you guys. Love you all.

I had heard good things about PhoLy but had never been. I ordered the rare steak pho. It was out of this world. I had enough for 3 days. It was very good the first day and got better each day. I cant wait to go back.

Pho is all about the broth, and this establishment has one of the most flavorful broths I ve had here in CT. It s my go to place for under-the-weather days, hangover days, chilly days, and days where I just don t know what I want to eat! I m never disappointed when I come here. Friendly staff and quick service. Would recommend to anyone!!!

This is a great place for a vegan pho. The broth is not too salty and they also offer an excellent vermicelli bowl with very fresh ingredients. Highly recommend you wont be disappointed.

Great place for Pho

Pho was ok. Good portion. Broth didnt have much flavor to it. Iced coffee was sub par. But their banh mi was definitely one of the better ones i have had. I would go back just for that. Parking is convenient with a huge lot.

Probably one of my favourite Pho spots Ive been to. I went the other day while visiting family, and I wish I could have this restaurant nearby me. My siblings and I all had different versions of their pho. The broth is all the same but you get a choice of protein. It was divine. Plus, every table has their own kit of sauces to customise the broth to your own liking. (sriracha, hoisin, fish sauce, chili paste). My father had the grilled pork Bahn mi, which he loved so much I took one to go to bring to my girlfriend. It was just as good the next day, even though I kept it refrigated overnight. Prices were super fair, almost felt like a steal. Couldnt recommend it any more. Super authentic, super flavorful

This establishment is family owned, the staff is really friendly and most importantly it has a really good bowl of pho. Def a top 10 place . Bowl sizes are perfect too . Stop by if you re passing through or a local

Their broth is sooo much more flavorful than any pho in Manchester and East hartford, also the people that answer the phones are so sweet.

Take out order was FULL of rice. Barely any meat. Wont be going back

I travel all around the country, specially for food/beverage, as I m a restaurant consultant. Originally from Vernon, my girlfriend and I discovered this place while visiting my family. What a hidden gem!! We love pho and eat it often on trips (Charleston, DC, Virginia Beach, etc) but I have to say, that was probably the best I ve had in a long time! Service was friendly. We had a few apps as well (the beef rolls were crazy good and not something I usually see on a menu). 10/10 recommend. **note, this review is about a year late, but I m Heading up again this week and am already craving eating here, so I thought I d write a review**

I ve had Pho in several restaurants across 3 states. This is definitely the best pho in Connecticut that I ve had!!! The broth is so flavorful!! Only added the basil and some lime juice. So happy to have found this place!!!

Good pho

I used to frequent PhoLy, and I believed it was the second best Pho place in the Hartford area. But when I visited in May, I felt like the broth of the beef pho has gotten much sweeter than before (I did not add any condiments e.g. hoisin sauce). Its still a good pho, but I miss how it used to taste. I havent been back since then.

Just delicious! The vegan vermicelli and tofu bowl was heavenly. Maybe the best Ive ever had! Vegetarian options: They even make their own vegan fish sauce! Delicious!

Got take out and was pleased by the flavors of the pho. Only downside I would say is that it is pricey for the amount you pay for. Inside of restaurant is nice and the workers were all friendly. Food

I didnt order too much. I ordered the tofu spring rolls and spicy soup. That and a Thai Ice Tea and Lavender Tea came to $40+tip. The first thing I noticed walking into the entry area (it was my first time here) was the place smelled like Moth Balls in an old womans closet. I went inside and it still smelled the same. I ordered and was soon brought a small dish piled high with shredded lettuce and dry bean sprouts. I asked what it was and the young girl figured out how to explain it was for my soup, she said she didnt speak English well. No problem. The spring rolls were huge and didnt taste too bad, I didnt eat them both completely because I lost interest after 1 and a half. The soup came out and I put none of what was in that dish I was staring at into it. It didnt have the redness of a rich broth I was expecting from the photos I saw on the reviews, until I mixed whatever the spice in the middle of the soup into it. Then I tried it again and it still didnt seem all that fantastic at first. I tried the meats in it and the ham was worse then canned ham and the beef was like shoe leather. The noodles were the worst I ever tried and so I just slurped up the broth which finally tasted ok once I got into it. And I was done. Im not saying dont go. Alot of people like the place, just wasnt for me. Only one guys opinion. Bon Appetite!

Stumbled on this place purely by accident and what a fantastic suprise! Food was really tasty, the staff were lovely. Highly recommend as a quick pit stop.

One of the best broths around (and my dad is part Vietnamese so I ve had plenty of pho while living in Boston, California, New York, and Chicago). Get the happy rolls if you re carb conscious (no noodles but lots of satisfying crunch - very unique). Service is impeccable - over and beyond friendly and efficient. I love coming here and it s become one of my favorite places!

We have loved Pho Ly in the past. The latest few times we have been unhappy because the quality of the pork chops has gone downhill. We were there Nov 9 for diner and the pork chops were grisely!

Took my family out to dine here. We ordered three large phos. The waitress brought the third bowl and spilled part of it on my teenage daughter on her arm and her leg. Thankfully my daughter only had a little redness on her arm, a first degree burn. Waitress apologized but that ruined our experience for the night. We thought we would get some compensation, but got the full bill. We mentioned the incident and ONLY then they did something and then they took just $6 off (10%). Disappointing! At least comp one of the pho orders?! I didn t leave a tip. Horrible, cheap business ethic.

Best Pho within MILES. The staff makes you feel extremely comfortable. The food is always cooked perfectly with an amazing presentation. I highly recommend! (Dont mind the photo, I was already tearing the plate apart lol)

This place is amazing! My boyfriend and I are so glad to have this gem right in town. I get their chicken pho all the time and it never disappoints. Boba tea, smoothies, spring rolls with their delicious peanut sauce, and several different phos that my boyfriend has had- all delicious! Their chili oil is great also if you like a kick in your pho. Both takeout and dine in are on point.

Very good Vietnamese restaurant that I had heard about in Vernon CT. Extensive menu with beef or spring rolls, wonton soups, large bowls of beef noodle soups, with steak or chicken, or shrimp or tofu. Also rice dishes, vermicelli bowls, vegetarian dishes, sandwiches, and Pholy specials. Most of these meals are spicy and have lots of vegetables or rice and often have nuts. Very good Vietnamese iced coffee to drink too.

Serendipitously stopped here on my way to NY. Best choice. Our server was very friendly and helpful with my food restrictions. The restaurant was clean and cute. The food was outstanding. Both my fiancé and I agreed it was the best pho we had ever had. Thank you PhoLy.

Hands down the best Vietnamese in the area. Each time we get takeout or dine in we d like it more and more. The bun is our favorite. Only bummer is that they are not open on Sundays.

5 star to see Viet food in Vernon. However, can I share a few pointer? Please don t stuff so much shredded lettuce in the rice paper rolls. You know that s not right. When giving people pho to go put the broth in one container. Put the banh pho in another container. Put the herbs etc in a separate bags. Last time we ordered, you put it all in one container. Seriously?

Im always pleased. The food is fresh and fantastic. The service is very direct, no distractions. The atmosphere is extremely calm. If I feel like Im starting to get sick, I always get their Pho.

Looking for dinner, and found PhoLy on Google maps. Was here at 8pm, quick service. We were in and out within 45 minutes, and it was perfect for what we needed. Chicken pho ($13 small bowl, pre-tax & tip) and beef pho, very standard. Wouldnt say it was the best ... more on the bland side, but satisfying enough. The place is clean, service was very attentive, and great atmosphere.

They do dine-in (at time of post), take out, and curbside. They are very clean, masks required & all covid restrictions posted before you enter. The menu is QR scannable, or print when you sit down. Severs were very friendly and attentive. As appitizers we got the (Spicy) Beef Rolls, they were amazing, though not spicy, maybe to some though. 6 rolls & good sized. Friend ordered the Special Dac Biet (reg bowl) with extra noodles, was very filling. I ordered the Ginger Rare Steak (reg bowl), meat was thin and not overcooked. They give you the Thai basil/bean sprouts/plum sauce/limes/chili sauce to the side. The plum sauce is amazing, the chili sauce was fine to me, but far too spicy for my friend. Add a little at a time. Ill be back, def seems like a good date night and fun dinner place.

I ordered Banh Mi chicken for take out and was really disappointed... the chicken they used stinks... it s a rotten chicken... I m Asian and dined out to a lot of vietnamese restaurants especially in New York City and in the Philippines where there s a lot of vietnamese that seek asylum before i migrated to US ... i loved their food but not Pholy... they are not using fresh ingredients... i had to toss it because it just stinks ... and there goes my money... so beware!

Great authentic Vietnamese entrees and drinks!

Pretty good pho. They also have a selection of rice dishes including the house special fried rice and vermicelli noodle bowls. The pho dishes are vegetarian, plain, shrimp, chicken or several different beef variations. The beef pho includes tripe (cow stomach and kind of good), beef tendon (very bland and not good), beef balls which are like meatballs but more spongy and thin sliced beef. Try the special beef pho to get everything in one bowl!

PhoLy is sooo good. Just walking in the restaurant makes your hungry! Thanks so much for such a wonderful meal!

Simple, efficient, polite and heavenly tasteful. We are frequenters here. We always go to eat the pho and the Bobba smoothies. The pho is heavenly - they will even split it into multiple bowls for your convenience. The bobba teas and smoothies are also great. The other dishes we have tried range from ok to excellent. The waiters are great. Western efficiency mixed with oriental servitude. Never had any issues. Overall a very simple, hole-in-the-wall place with a few tables and nice, simple decor. Wait times are very short, so we are often able to run there for a quick lunch even on workdays. Very affordable as well. Overall a delightful place - a gem of a find.

I literally love this restaurant. GET THE PHO, try the beef rolls, eat some bahn mi, wash it down with some Vietnamese coffee! PhoLy is my go to restaurant for my favorite pho and the service is great and sweet. Very reliable when it comes to the quality of food.

Food is good but its not what it used to be. They increased the prices for everything drastically. What used to be $10 for Pho has increased to $15. Portion size has reduced. The same goes for any of the other dishes. While I did support them 2x a week it will not be the same anymore. With our current state of affairs I would expect the same price or a very slight increase.

1st time there. Our meal was very good. I had P4- soup bowl with chicken in vegetable broth. Wife had N3- Bun chicken bowl. Both seemed healthy. They close at 8pm. Service was slow but friendly. Reasonable prices. Clean environment.

I personally come here for the Vietnamese iced coffee and banh mi. It is all perfect. I wish it wasnt such a drive for me- I would be here multiple times a week! I love this place. I would always pass PhoLy and see it online when looking to order takeout but they usually were closed by 8pm. I was missing out on some great food! They have really great pho broth and they load up your bowl. I had the large special combo pho and it came loaded with all the different cuts of meat. I ended up sharing the bowl. The beef banh mi was super good too. I really liked the marinated grilled chicken and rice as well. Ill definitely be back and would recommend! Its a hidden gem in Vernon.

Absolutely the most flavorless unattractive looking an lazy excuse for vietnamese food ive ever had. Sandwich are not crusty as they put it but tough and obviously stale. The marinaded meat is dry and obviously premade as are most of the items. The crepes are an absolute joke literally just a pile of sprouts with alil meat. The soups are just ok yet not something id order from this restaurant again because the prices are outrageous for the quantity and quality of the food. The fish sauce is bitter and smells not just alil fishy but like actual rotting fish carcasses. Simply awful I cant believe they havnt gone out of business.

Really great pho with reasonable price. The boba tea here is hands down the best in the area - trust me, I checked. Fresh made boba and tea thats not too sweet. Its perfect!!

I love this place. We have been ordering for take out due to Covid. They never dissapoint. Their pho soup is amazing and very satisfying. They have a lot of choices even if you are on an diet. They have a big vegetarian section. My daughters love this place too.
