Noodlebox in Victoria

Noodle box sold out, bad ownership now. They dont care about customer service, and food quality or taste. They all used to be cool places to go. Too bad.

Lifetime Noodlebox customer, and regularly eat at 3 or 4 different locations. I have no idea what is going on with the Uptown location but the dishes at this one place are now consistently sub-par.

So good service at front attendants and best food quick and delicious. Highly recommends the restaurant with great ambiance and higher satisfaction.

Ordered 4 Thai style chow mein boxes 3 med hot and 1 hot all of them are too much greasy and the spice level is also not as ordered they just add chili on top for the spice level they don t mix it with the noodles.

Very unprofessional staff and food not to be trusted

Why do you have to lie to drivers. Why tell someone and order will be 5 minutes while 10 minutes later you havent even started the order? Drivers are human beings although this location doesnt treat them so. Dont go here!

The spicy level is just chili on top of the food, it is not mixed with the food.

Ordered the chow mein with grilled chicken, rice and broccoli. Got home and realized Staff forgot to put ANY chicken in it whatsoever. Pretty unhappy with paying for just rice and broccoli.

Typically went to the Shelbourne location but due to it being closed I picked up from this location. The quality of food between the two is disappointing. My partner and I ordered out typical boxes. When eating I noticed my box lacked any spice (I had asked for medium heat). Both of our boxes were also extremely oily. it came to the point where we were unable to finish or enjoy our boxes due to this. The access of oil really effected the flavour of the box. We also noticed the portion sizes were much smaller than what we were used to from the Shelbourne location. Im confused why a location would have this many issues with quality. I would recommend avoiding for a different location if choosing between two.

Best noodle box in town. Delicious and good service

I typically order from this noodlebox when I want something quick and easy and dont feel like cooking. I wont be back to this location, though. I ordered over the phone for pickup and was told 35 minutes tops. I get there 45 minutes later, and theyre not even halfway done. I wait for an additional 15 minutes as the one cook working at the time lazily and ham-fistedly threw together dishes. There was no care or finesse involved. About 10 people were waiting on orders. When they noticed I had been waiting a while, they decided to give me a 5$ off coupon. That wont be enough to retain my business, and there are plenty of other noodleboxes (or better restaurants) in the area to choose from. The food presented was disgusting, I asked for crispy beef at medium spice. What I got was soggy beef with no spice. The other dish was also bland and flavorless. My partner could only stomach half of it before giving up on it. I wouldve returned it if I wasnt so hungry. Its a shame as just a few months ago, this was a great location, and the food was waaay better than this, such a shame.

I ordered the Thai Style Chow Mein from there yesterday it was damn delicious! I loved it.

I m not sure what has happened to Noodlebox. They used to have great cooks. The last 2 years it has gone downhill. The food is like slop. No real taste. Yesterday dish was so salty not sure if they are using MSG. I have been on toilet all morning after only having that for dinner. I went to Uptown and Royal Oak restaurants twice giving them benefit of doubt to only be disappointed. Quality is gone. Cooks are terrible. I had Thai style chow mein and ordered coconut prawns. These were overcooked and dried out All in all not like it used to be!! Never going back.

Ordered 40 minutes ahead, got here 40 minutes later, still waiting in the shop for 25 minutes now.

I placed an online order last night for pick up today at 11am. When I arrived they didn t have my order ready. The staff member told me that they had prepared it the night before and she showed me my order that was still sitting on the counter. Management needs to figure out how to have preorders identified for staff or don t allow customers to preorder on their website. Food was good as usual but frustrating to have to figure this out when I ordered ahead of time.

On July 12. I placed an order for 2 items. And even after confirming my order they still managed to screw it up and get only one of the orders right on top of that I was told a 25 minute pick up time which turned out to be a 40 minute time now I can understand this if the place was super busy but it wasnt. Id hate to see the results if it was

Worest restaurant I have never seen. My phone has some malfunction it placed order itself when I am trying to see the taxes when I checkout. suddenly my phone was hanged and it placed order it self so that means I didn t place the order by myself. after that I contact the restaurant to re change the order which is the same price. they can t even help the customer to compensate what they want. Literally they sent the food which I don t even like to eat. How cruel they are. food is good but workers are bad.

Inconsistent experience across various locations. This one doesn t think you can add your own hot sauce or crispy onions, vs the location on Shelbourne This one is also very skimpy on noodles - twice now left hungry with no option to pay extra be other locations

Review based on timeline of 2 years being stubborn ordering from this place. Food is inconsistent, too much sauce, not enough. Received wrong meals. Ordered spicy, wasnt, wife ordered no spice, was very spicy. Never on time, upwards to 30 minute wait on top of their predicted wait time. Honestly this location is being run into the ground. Emailed their head office, got the sorry to hear this run around. This location requires a complete wipe of staff, from very top to bottom.

Okay, but it is pointless adding on items as they rarely put them on. Kinda got tired of paying almost 3$ fit cashews and its either missing or like a sprinkle of cashew pieces. Seriously?

Taking my take out order with a dead face and pushing me to give order very fast even though it wasn t busy. They need someone at the cashier who knows how to smile. Food is good though so I give 4 star

They messed up my order not once but twice and I am allergic to what they gave me both times. I refuse to drive back a third time.

Way too much sauce, half the bowl was filled with sauce. Had to drain some in the garbage with takeout lid, very unimpressed Never ordering the Pad Thai box again. Seems like whoever made my food was too lazy to drain the sauce or just put in however much they wanted & didn t care. Thanks for soup

I make sure to visit this place every time I visit Victoria. Parking and access to this joint is a bit challenging but the taste of food makes you forget about it. All of the items on the menu are made fresh right in front of your eyes. You can ask for the spice level you want. Prices are also very genuine. Service is very quick and with smile. Will definitely continue to visit this place in future.

So disappointed. Back in the day, when Nick had his cart and one location on Victoria, Noodle Box was Top Shelf. Now, its no better than food court quality. Way WAY too much sauce (which Im guessing is a commercial sauce as it is very sweet, thick & salty) The tofu was barely warm no where near cooked. The chicken was dry & flavorless. The veggies were a second thought. Easily 1/2 a cup of sauce pooling at the bottom of the bowl. Zero texture. Very disappointed!! Nick would be Shocked at what youve done to his food!!

We ordered teriyaki noodles which was way too saucy and Pad Thai which was too dry. And the Pad Thai tasted like it was cooked yesterday and has been served after heating and with some fresh toppings. We went there with high expectation as noodles lovers but was highly disappointing and waste of money. Overall location and ambiance was good but the food..... wont visit again.

I recently visited Noodle Box for the first time, and I have to say it was a great experience. The atmosphere was great, making it a pleasant place to eat.

Ordered take out in the morning to pick up after work. The food looked like it had been prepared hours in advanced. Noodles all glooped together. We ordered a beef, noodle dish and a chicken rice dish. Beef we couldn t even eat and chicken dish was so salty. The spring rolls were tasty

Honestly Noodlebox is a franchise that has really gone down hill. I would suggest going to McDonalds instead. Food : 1/5

Its definitely better than the last few years. I used to love Noodlebox back in the day, but expansions seemed to cause the quality to drop big time. I honestly would have given them a one star review two years ago, the last time I ate there. Went for lunch last week and was very happy with the improvement.

Frankly the worst noodle box and the worst restaurant in my opinion in terms of organization! I ordered on their website for pickup at 7 a.m. (with a tip as well) I arrived there (uptown noodle box) at 7 p.m. sharp and the girl at the cash register told me its not ready and to wait... I see a multitude of orders come through but never mine, I ask twice where my order is but no one seems to worry that I have been waiting for tens of minutes! In the end, I finally got my order at 7:25 p.m.! 25 min of waiting while I use the site on purpose so as not to have to wait, its shameful! And no compensation! For those who still hesitate : the kitchen is dirty and the cook cleans the surfaces with the same gloves he uses to take the food and make his wok I will never come back to this establishment again and I dont recommend it to you either!

This is the worst noodle box! I accidentally ordered from here on Uber eats, usually I order from the Shelbourne one (much better), and the food arrived extremely cold, burnt & wayyy too spicy! We always get mild medium and any time we order from this noodle box it is way too spicy!!! Don t waste your money here, order from a different location. ANY OTHER LOCATION IS BETTER THAN THIS ONE!

Probably the absolute worst dining experience of my entire life. Found a piece of foreign matter (zap strap) in my food. Truly an unacceptable thing to have happen.

Note to reader: this was a Doordash delivery order. Not factoring in the slightly under warm temperatures due to delivery taking an order elsewhere first. Every two or three years my memory fades. And around the same time, my wife gets a hankering for Noodlebox. She really enjoyed it in Edmonton over a decade ago. Today, the stars aligned it was time for our quarter decade Noodlebox punishment. I ordered the Teryaki and added beef with a lime. My wife ordered the Spicy Peanut something and added a lime and Thai basil (which we paid extra for, but wasnt in the food). We also had two vegetarian deep fried spring rolls. They were ok. Soggy, actually, but thats because the delivery delays. If crispy theyre not bad. Sauce was fine. When I opened my teriyaki box, immediately I inhaled a lung full of vinegar smells and it made me reflexively cough. Through and through, this sauce had way too much vinegar. There was a decent portion of meat (extra charge of nearly $5), not really worth the upcharge TBH. I was hoping for more vegetables, but it appeared the majority of the mass was the sauce that was sopping in the box. It was way too much sauce to noodles. The spicy level was pretty great. Huge hit and that was level 3 of 6. Overall, everything felt unbalanced culinary speaking. Passable, but at $16-17 dollars, not sure it was worth it. Gimme a bottle of hoisin or oyster sauce, and I could beat this recipe easy. Now there was the matter of my wifes Peanut whatever order. I dont know what the heck was going on but hers was totally saturated with sauce. It was basically soup. The flavor was quite bland, so it was like the box of noodles was doing the quantity verses quality thing. Seriously disappointing to watch her put half the noodles in the colander and rinse the noodles off, and mix it back in later. Cut down that ratio by half basically. Then it was edible. Bland. But edible. Also. The upcharged Thai basil was MIA. Overall, I think this is my 4th time at a Noodlebox. All different locations. It must be that this is how it is supposed to be. I am baffled because this is such an inconsistent and underpar brand. I really dont get the appeal. The memory of the Noodle box burns bright today. Hopefully Future Self will be wise enough to think OUTSIDE the BOX when picking a meal in 2-3 years.

I ordered the Singaporean Cashew Curry med/hot spicy, and tbh it was very bland!! I can t speak for any other dishes, but this one just tasted like plain noodles with raw veggies:( I really regret spending $20 on it. Lots of vegetarian options, at least.

Taste and quality has changed over the past couple of years. The ingredients could us a little more love- very large chunks of meat or onions or peppers isnt very appealing. A bit more care in the preparation would go a long way in the end product being much more pleasing. The staff was very happy, accommodating and pleasant to deal with.
