Noodlebox in Victoria

Pre ordered two Thai style chow mein via mobile at 5:55pm. Got an email saying it will be ready by 6:10pm. Arrived at the location at 6:10pm. One of the staff told me it will be another 5 minutes. 30 minutes had gone by, zero acknowledgement from staff. Asked the manager about it, he said if I dont want to wait I can cancel the order and leave. In the end, I waited 45 minutes and both the chow mein were salty as hell. Probably the last time ordering from this location.

We pre-ordered online and our food was given to someone else. No one acknowledged this or even apologized just said it was going to be another 10 minutes. When we brought up our concerns no one apologized or even acknowledged this occurred. Terrible service.

Food is good but when they tell you its 25-30 minutes, what they really mean is an hour.

I was charged twice for my single food order and called back to let them know. I recieved no apology or anything for paying double or the inconvenience. Plus they mixed up our order as well. I will not be going back to this location.

Got the Thai style chow mein last, and it was so bland with no index of tastiness at all. Was edible but not something Id expect from Noodlebox

So disappointed. Ordered a kids Mac and Cheese and Chili Plum box. Mac and cheese was edible but the chili plum box I normally get was not. I called back to ask the manager if the recipe has changed and, despite me being polite, he was defensive and rude. I told him the food no longer tastes like it used to and he said you re probably thinking of a different place lol ! Like, what??? I won t be back and if this is how all noodle boxes are going then I won t be back to any of them.

Pretty chill atmosphere, enjoyed the wok frying sounds as well as the smell. Gave us an extra spring roll. Medium spicy was not so spicy so maybe go for something with more spice. Vegetarian options: Good amount of options

Had a takeout meal that cost around $40, but unfortunately found hair in it. When I contacted customer service, I was disappointed by their response. They didnt apologize and even accused me of being untruthful. Given the poor customer service and the fact that I had to throw away a $40 meal, Ive decided to avoid this restaurant in the future. I used to enjoy their food, but I can no longer recommend them.

Foods usually good. Had a pad Thai to try it again, and was confused. It was in a broth? Was a bowl of soup. Pad thai is usually dry. Also, don t recommend the bubble tea lol, got the green tea. Couldn t take more than 2 sips. The most bitter thing I ve ever drank. Tea bags must have been soaking for hours and hours.

Since this complaint, the owner of the company contacted me and generously offered my a $5.00 discount on my next order. Good food, I would have given this place 5 stars but now on two occasions I ordered protein and when I got home ..you guessed it no protein!! I addressed this matter and all I got was oh sorry ! Not cool. You owe me $7.00!!

If I could rate this service as zero I would. My daughter and I went in with 2 coupons (kids bx free w/ purchase, and 50% off another box w/ purchase). No customers were in the restaurant, just us. There was obviously a new hire at the counter, I asked for beef and no cilantro (1st time), she called the manager/owner (Pabitra is on my receipt), he approached the till with an annoyed aggressive attitude. He told me I couldnt use the two coupons in the same order, so I asked to make two orders. I gave him the first order. (2nd time) His system crashed. Customers came in. I gave the order again. (3rd time) I needed to swap the box to bowl while I waited to see if my wife wanted spice or not. So I could get the first order in hoping my wife would get back to me while I paid. My wife didnt get back to me yet so I gave him my second order again, the one with the box. (4th time). Mistakes happen. I wasnt frustrated. Then paid for my second order. I asked for my receipt because the prices seemed high $53. He served the other customers first, while they made my food. I read my reciept and saw chicken not beef. When I asked him, He told me I said chicken, blaming me then said to me I already have my food confirming to me that I said chicken. I said ok, its my fault then and left. Kinda baffled, but defeated. I got home opened my food and had rice for both bowls when I specifically said chowmein noodles in atleast 2 of my verbal pronunciations. I called back and explained my frustrations, he again tried to repeat it was my fault by telling me I wasnt prepared with my order, so I began to stand up for myself and explain where he went wrong. He then said I can drive the food back and he can remake it. Which I would have been okay with that if I was in the restraunt but not after I got all the way home and was ready to eat. I guess I was expecting a little better service for my trouble along with being very disappointed, at the minimum for a future visit. He was still abrasive with me and I returned saying to him that I will write a review for my problems. He then said I can go ahead and write this review and he wasnt going to remake food then hung up. Not sure if I would have trusted my food at that point. Id say probably the worst customer service I have had in decades, even when its bad, people atleast usually try. I really dont write reviews a lot. I ordered a kids teriyaki box mild and a Thai style chow mein box w/beef no cilantro mild , ginger beef box med , shanghai crispy chicken box med all with chowmein noodles and a, last second bubble tea. I asked him for a suggestion between two bowls, he said no its not the same for him as it is me. I asked about terriyaki sauce on the side or another sauce in the kids box, because my daughter doesnt like sweet sauce. He said no to on the side, or cooking with no sauce, or having another sauce. While no customers were in the restaurant. Sorry for being a customer who has to make choices for more than just myself in a take out restaurant. SOOOOOO ANNOYED! hence me spending an hour and a half to write this out.

Not only am I disgusted, but I am extremely disappointed in the service that was provided. My family went out for dinner and got 5 boxes. 3 of the boxes I received were swimming noodles that tasted like barf. I didn t realize noodle box started to sell soup. Unfortunately, the two employees were not understanding what was being said, and still did not get a refund. I will never go back due to the level of inconsistency and incompetence from the new employees.

I order from here 3-4 times a week, today for some reason my order took forever to get delivered and unfortunately everything I ordered was over salted and absolutely disgusting!!!

I ordered the mild/med ginger beef box. It was way too spicy to eat so when I called back and explained the situation they didn t offer to exchange my uneaten meal for a new one. Instead the manager gave me an excuse. They could have fixed the problem right away and they would have a future customer. But now .I will never be back and I will share my experience with friends.

Prices are higher, staff youve seen for years are gone, our veg comes freshly frozen in a bag. Deal with it.

I had 2 differant boxes. Teriyaki was one, very dry and hot, I ordered mild, I have ordered this before many times but this time it was so hot.The other Kung po, again dry and was ordered mild/ medium but was very hot.I just spoke to someone about my boxes and basically I was told to bring them back and they would be remade. I live in Sooke and I am not going back into langford to bring them back. Also I just ate them and burnt my mouth out.So why am I gonna want another one tonight. Sucks to be me I guess. Next time I order noodle box I will get it from Asian Noodle House, it is better and cheaper. You do kot have to pay for protein it automatically comes with it. Horrible customer service.

Ordered two dishes and the spice levels were swapped so one person was unable to eat their food. After calling the restaurant I was told a manager would call back. When he did 20 minutes later he asked what I wanted and told me to come back to the restaurant to have it remade. He was incredibly rude and dismissive. Why on earth would you run a store if you hate your product and customers so much? Very weird, comically bad experience.

Got take out for 2 meals (1 mild and 1 medium/hot spice). The mild dish was inedible as it was way too spicy and the medium/hot dish was not spicy at all. Called the place and the manager did not know what to do and asked me to come back with the dish so he could remake it BUT only the overspiced one. Since I was already to far away and didnt want to go back nothing was done and a waste of money! The ginger beef didnt taste ginger and the beef was dry and the teriyaki with chicken was blend. Not worth it and after seeing previous reviews seems to be a lack of consistency and customer service

I ordered a jungle curry and when i got home there was no curry

Was there a year ago when I would have given it 5 stars. Was there today asked for noodles with chicken ( I asked that it not be curry flavored), I received curry flavored rice and a few pieces of chicken, and no vegetables, what I got was an insult to the name Noodle Box

Its so sad... This used to be my favorite place to eat. If I have my favorite birthday food, it was this place. No longer... Its become a dive. Its been a gradual dive as a few years ago it was GREAT!!! AMAZING AWESOME! but last year it was just tolerable, but now, with the jacked up prices... and the lower quality ingredients... Im THEROUGHLY disgusted. Why oh why would you destroy your own brand like this??? SO STUPID!!! The greedy pieces of dirt that have done this should suffer the consequences. Ill NEVER go back. :(

Horrible. Got the gingerbeef had almost no beef in it, the few pieces that was in it were tough, chewy and not edible. Told them and they couldnt have cared less.

I ordered the honey garlic chicken here, but it was overly sweet. My colleague had a better-balanced dish. When I asked for compensation, the staff refused, claiming they couldnt adjust it and gave a confusing explanation about honey increasing with time. The service was rude, and they didnt try to understand my concerns.

This location is really bad. They never follow your instructions ask for no peanuts because you are allergic you re still going to get them! Ask for a certain noodle too bad! And the worst is if you ask for mild but they make it so spicy you can t even eat it. I only go to the royal bay location now, they always get it right and the quality is so so much better.

I wanted to try the butter chicken here, wouldn t recommend, tastes like nothing except the feeling of spice, you get 6 pieces of air dried chicken, the smallest amount of sauce(not that it tastes like anything) and about 1 1/2 pounds of rice just to take away the flavour a tiny bit more. Ordered from this location as I was in the Area, charged me for my meal but did not add the protein that I asked for, they ripped me off. If you do go to this location, repeat your order, or have them repeat it back. They failed to fill my order, dont let it happen to you.

We were hungry after a day on the road. We ordered noodle bowl (of course). They were tasty but, way too much noodle and very little veggies and very little meat from what was expected. If you go there and you like noodles, you will like it. But if you prefer a bit of carb with more of the other healthier stuff, go somewhere else. These are expansive noodles. Not worth the price. Too bad, tasted good,

I go to this noodlebox a lot. My main issue with this location is the lack of consistency in the dishes. I order the same thing every time and some days it s delicious, hot and fresh. Other days it s just warm and bland. Protein quantity varies as well. Overall I think it s still worth eating here but I wish they would go the extra mile and make it good EVERY time.

The place was very busy, usually a good sign...I waited almost 30 minutes for my small take out order. Excited to get home and eat but the food was sooooo I couldnt eat it. Asked for mild with the order at the cash but WOW really not!

Have had a few decent experiences at this location over the last few years but have noticed a huge change in quality over the last 6 months. Instructions given through the app for online ordering are rarely followed, spice level never reflects whats requested, and is usually drowned in whatever sauce it comes with. Ive had too many disappointing meals at this location to continue ordering from here.

Didnt like the food much.

3 spicy peanut noodle boxes, were nothing like what they should be. Cooked in a pan that must have had curry in it previously. Very little sauce, off putting colour, burnt tasting almost no vegetables. The quality here has gone down so much over the past 2 years. This order was the last one. Waited 25 minutes longer than quoted , tipped, and to top it off the protein choices were mixed up on the only rice box order! You can t expect people to waste their money on this. Just awful.

Omg !!!! Just had the Butter Chicken Box and I cannot stress enough just how delicious it was !!! I added Bbq Char Sui Pork and opted for zucchini noodles and they just added something special to this delicious meal. 11 out of 10 my friends !!

We had a wonderful family meal in-house and though crowded the food and service were top notch with huge portions of food per order. Would recommend as a great family spot to chow down!!

I work in trades, and Ive just about had every box off of the menu. I find it makes a really good lunch for an average of $16 (with protine and no drink) that doesnt leave you feeling gross afterwards like a lot of other fast foods do. My only disappointment is that the app was changed to $10 off vs. A free box (Im sure that is cost related) for the same amount of points, and the secret menu is gone. But that isnt the fault of this location.

Workers were friendly but food was very disappointing and won t be back. Ordered the teriyaki and the kung pao both with rice noodles. Neither had any flavour or sauce. Completely dry noodles couldn t even finish my meal. Would have requested a refund if I have eaten in as opposed to ordering take out.

If the food here didnt make me feel sick, I would eat here often, so good, what a great restaurant. Love the sparkling water on tap too. Wish the music was a bit quieter. Otherwise love it.

So disappointed with my noodle box tonight, and its usually very good. Ordered my usual which is a teriyaki bowl with tofu. Not one piece of broccoli, no peppers, only sprouts and white onions and maybe a little cabbage. Twice as much rice as usual, 2 tiny pieces of green onion, no other vegetables. If I had eaten in instead of taking it to go, I would have requested a refund.

I was extremely disappointed with the service at this restaurant. When I called, I was put on hold for an excessive amount of time, and my call was never picked up. Frustrated, I decided to walk in, only to find the place empty with the staff huddled together, gossiping instead of assisting customers. To add to my displeasure, my order has been consistently incorrect the last three times Ive visited. Despite my hope for improvement, it seems that customer satisfaction is not a priority for this establishment. Save yourself the hassle and visit a restaurant that values and cares for their patrons.

We ordered hot and it was impressively so! Such a generous amount of food that we had to ask for doggy bags. Definitely recommend.

Pad thai tasted like nothing, as if they used cornstarch and water for the sauce. There was also no heat at all.

Really delicious food I always get a teriyaki with chicken and a mild/medium spice on chow mien, extra sauce with a side of naan where I dip the naan in the teriyakis left over sauce which is a good combo even tho the lime curry sauce is to die for and if you like spice mix the lime curry with sriracha but not too much or it ll over power

Another fast food gem in this area. My wife and I easily shared this box of peanut-y saucy noodles with chicken and veg.

Noodlebox Langford is the best! My favourite dish is the Pad Thai. The customer service is always fantastic, they really care about the food and experience. The cooks are always welcoming customers in and saying thank you when they leave!

Just picked up my spicy peanut order and was throughly disappointed. Veggies were barley cooked at all, dish was horribly seasoned and barely any noodles since the vegetables were gigantic and took up 80% of the box. Young cooks need to be trained better.

I ordered the peanut box through skip the dishes, I ordered mild spice. It was so spicy it was un edible. Was the only money I had and skip would only refund half my money. So I got a refund of 15$ that takes 10 days to go back on my card and no food for dinner. Not impressed at all. So I guess I don t eat tonight. Thx a lot Noodlebox I ll never order from here again. I ve had this dish many many times, they loaded it with spice. Not happy at all.

Ive tried the spicy peanut with rice and their butter chicken with rice. They were both delicious and arrived in a short period of time.

I recently had an issue with my app and being charged too much. The team in the store and the manager were so kind and did whatever they could to make sure my experience was great and I got my money back. Great customer service. Also, I have never had a bad box/bowl. Always super yummy! Thank you!

I love their spicy noodle box but am not overly impressed this time around. Got their new chicken bites which were almost $7 for 6 and some of them were so tiny! Tasted the exact same as chicken nuggets lesson learned won t order those again!

Once upon a time noodle box really was very decent. The spicy peanut was fantastic. Veggies would have a bit of char, ribbon noodles cooked al dente, well sauced; but not swimming, and topped off with fresh cilantro Chilis and peanuts. Now? Its like they took all the ingredients and put it in an instapot. Overcooked veggies and noodles swimming ina salty slurry.

I actually found the rice and ginger beef bowl to be very good. I used to get the chicken teriyaki once a year or so but found my new go to. They just need to up the portion size on the protein.

I ordered the spicy peanut which I was able to tolerate with mild for years. I think they changed the peanut sauce recipe, the mild now feels like a mild/medium-medium. I only got that and spring rolls, my faves but can no longer eat it.

Having severe peanut allergies, they made sure anyone working with our order took great care to be extremely careful. The food is delicious and we even have some left over for tonight. Yummy.

My boyfriend and I have been coming to this location regularly on the nights we don t have time to cook for years. We d get the odd box here and there that wasn t great, but it was generally a decent option that wasn t a greasy burger and fries. It has been consistently horrible for a while now. I always get the spicy peanut box and I have lost count of how many times in a row it has been completely inedible. Undercooked noodles that are hard and chewy. Dry with no sauce. No vegetables and hardly any tofu. The last box I got had literally one piece of broccoli and a few carrots that were all raw. Just a nasty mass of dry, hard noodles. Totally unacceptable product, especially with what they are charging these days. Will never go here again. Don t waste your money and end up with an empty stomach. Terrible food.

More and more disappointing every time I visit! They change certain aspects of menu items and do not note this on the menu (such as appetizer accompaniments). This causes major disappointment when you receive your food, and it s completely different than what you thought you were ordering. No consistency whatsoever when you order a dish. Especially when it comes to spice level. Order a mild/medium one day and it tastes like they added zero spice, order it the next day and it s so spicy you can not eat your meal. Noodle box as a whole has been majorly declining for many years and is no where nearly as good as it used to be!

I just got take out from here, and it was so dry I had to put water on it to be able to eat it. I ordered double broccoli and there was the amount I would have expected in a regular portion. I now understand why the double sauce option exists, although I d rather they just charge $2 more and add it automatically.

I have been to all the other noodlebox in Greater Victoria, and this one has the best service. Langford noodlebox has amazing staff, always happy to serve, both front of house and back of house staff. Been there twice already and will be back. Vegetarian options: Try the Cambodian jungle box with tofu. Also try the vegetarian spring rolls.

Friendly staff, fantastic food at a good price with plant based options! Ill be back on the regular! Vegetarian options: Good selection and they can make more dishes without meat.

I love noodle box. Still, based on the quality and concept, I think it is more of a 4 than a 5. Been around for a long time. Solid food. Solid prices. But more of a chain style restaurant than a unique sit-down place Vegetarian options: Almost all boxes can be done without meat Dietary restrictions: Making changes to box e.g. no bean sprouts is easy

Flavour was meh, I have had better from here. Dudes dance moves though! That flair in his moves could have been used for more flavour in the food.

Amazing staff and let s face it the food is amazing. Spicy Peanut Udon Noodles is good for the soul. The Langford location has some of the nicest and most helpful people in food service.

I love the peanut noodle box, and am super happy they can make it gluten free (only tastes slightly less good)

We ordered extra sauce on both dishes and both were very dry. The butter chicken had no flavour and was very bland. The Thai style chow mein (ordered with extra sauce) was very poor, no flavour and few veggies. Overall a terrible experience and will not be going back!

This is my favourite noodlebox location! My Singapore Curry Box was absolutely delicious with just the right amount of spice, sauce, and protein. I find the Shelbourne location often lacks on the amount of sauce so it was a pleasant surprise ordering from here today. I also appreciate the fact that they can make most of their menu items gluten free and clearly take allergies such as gluten seriously! They labeled mine GF which lessens my anxiety. (When places dont label it Im always afraid they forgot lol.) - So thank you!

Another disappointing meal. Hadnt gone to NoodleBox in a longtime, thought wed try again. Little to no sauce/flavor. Had to add our own sauce at home.

Ordered dinner for my husband and I. Mine was soo burnt I couldn t eat it. My husbands tasted off as well. I called to let them know what happened and was asked to take photos of the burnt pieces. Okay, so I did and emailed it to the manager. I was told she would get back to me. It s been 3 days and nothing. Used to love this place. I would even order it for my office, never again.

If you love noodles like me, this is the place to be. My fav is the Thai Chow Mein with shrimp, But all of the dishes here are sooo good. Staff are freindly and with the mobile app you can earn free food!

What started out as a funky place in its original start-up location has sadly declined as it rapidly expanded its reach. Every time we went back the prices went up and the protein amount went down. Felt like every dish was the exact same heat no matter the request. Can t justify paying $15+ for a bowl of noodles anymore.

Quality and taste was not good.Their egg in pad Thai is now in chopped cubes of egg yolks. Noodles were kind of dry and there was a severe lack of vegetables. Taste was quite bland and essentially, the majority of the meal was dry noodles.

I have tried noodle box on and off. Hit and.miss is the best way to characterize the food. The Teriyaki bowl didnt even taste like teriyaki. The prices for a fast foodish place is expensive a bowl about 16-20$. I guess its like that most places now.

Love the Thai Style Chow Main with rice noodles and shrimp

They got my first order wrong when the put vegetables in my box. And the second time the one in the pic they put some random sauce. And my order is simple thick noodles with PLUM sauce and prawns. Like its kina hard to not know what plum sauce is. I am NOT going back there anytime soon.

A better word for this place would be white washed Asian food disguised as a healthy salad . This place is not what I expected it to be. Just wanted a good Pad Thai and yellow curry but instead got more of a salad. Who puts broccoli in Pad Thai?! If you want authentic and a real curry or Thai dish, go elsewhere.

The staff here are absolutely phenomenal, hard working, with excellent customer service! They go above and beyond to satisfy the hungry customer who is looking for great value and delicious food! I am so thankful for the amazing meals available! I highly recommend the singapore cashew curry, and I love how you can choose more than one protein! This place rocks! The worst Asian fusion food I ve ever had. They have no idea about what ribbon noodle is. If you are looking for any good Asian food, never try this place.

I enjoy the mild spicy peanut noodle box with prawns, delicious! Friendly staff, and a comfortable atmosphere to eat.

I had the Chicken Phad Thai takeout the other night and it was a big disappointment. First it was low on cilantro, lime, bean sprouts and green onion. They also used a lot of purple cabbage and it was very dry. The rice noodles were all clumped together too. My colleagues who I was eating with had the same issue.

Sub par noodles with high price tag. The quality of the protein (pork) was mediocre and I could somehow taste 2 completely different type of sauce, one whose shouldnt have been in there. Maybe its better if you eat on the spot.

Had not ordered from the Noodle Box in ages. Thought I would save myself making dinner and ordered the Pad Thai. Add chicken and extra sauce. Received a watery, sloppy mess. Nothing like the Pad Thai I have had in the past from this restaurant. Very disappointing. Will not order again.
