Michelle s and Allan s Miche Cafe is an amazing spot. A friend recommended the cinnamon buns back in the day, and once we tried them, we were hooked. From there, we got sucked into a vortex of excellent Mac n Cheese, sandwiches, wraps, fries you name it. And if they have a bit of time, Michelle and Allan are always up for a friendly chat. Looking forward to be back. But currently stuck in Switzerland ;)

I ordered a cinnamon roll and a latte. The cinnamon roll was delicious, the latte tasted less milky and full of coffee, with a slightly bitter taste. The boss was very enthusiastic. It was really warm to have such a service when I started the day with a cup of coffee. A cozy and unique shop inside the store.

An absolute hidden gem! Such lovely people, great atmosphere, great food, the drinks are so good and reasonably priced! We were looking for somewhere with the best cafe where we could enjoy being outside, enjoy the weather, and be comfortable and WE FOUND IT. We will be regulars! If this is the vibe youre looking for, look no further. The patio is covered with comfy booth seats - highly recommend Vegetarian options: I had the veggie wrap with the daily cheddar broccoli soup and it was so good! The hummus in the wrap was home made. And if you want it to be vegan you can get it without cheese :) Wheelchair accessibility: Not on the patio but up to the door and into the cafe!

This gem is tucked away in the middle of Esquimalts commercial/industrial area. Still, it is well worth seeking out for its fast, friendly, and knowledgeable service; cozy ambiance; and - above all - its delicious fresh food. Theres much more to their menu than I have had, but I am looking forward to the challenge of trying just about everything.

If I could give them 10 stars I would. The owners went above and beyond for me. I was getting an oil change done nearby and wanted to wait for it and saw this cafe nearby. Since I had never been before, I decided to give it a try and I was not disappointed. I had this amazing apple pie croissant looking pastry that was amazing, and 2 pumpkin spice lattes. Sooo good. I got to enjoy the covered patio as well as inside when I needed to be moved. Once my car was ready, I also got a lavender fog to go and it was also amazing. Great staff, great energy, great environment, amazing service. And what s even better? The patio is dog friendly!! Definitely found mine and my pups new hang out spot! Thanks Alan and Michelle for the wonderful morning!

This place is so lovely and the couple that runs it are just genuinely the sweetest people . You can tell that they care about their little cafe. The baked goods that they make are incredible, I stopped for coffee a couple of times because its on my way to the grocery store and I tried one of their date bars and I went again half an hour later on my way back home to get another because it was so good lmao Ive been a couple of times since to get more coffee and try a couple of baked goods, I also tried a breakfast sandwich and it was absolutely incredible. The prices are super reasonable considering its a small local family run business. Havent really had an opportunity to go back for an actual meal due to the current state of our economy and just not eating out much but I plan to go there the next time I do. Really really highly recommend supporting this place because there are not a lot of places like this left and Im sure its hard for them to survive. They do an amazing job and anyone that tries this place Im sure will love it.

Feels like home. Vegetarian options: Specific vegetarian choices also can make some meat options vegetarian. Kid-friendliness: Customers of all ages welcomed. Toys and coloring available. Terrible service and owner was nothing but disrespectful to me for simply using his bathroom would highly recommend choosing another option for lunch or coffee

I recently visited Miche cafe and bar and was blown away by the quality of their coffee and bakery. The coffee was rich, flavorful, and expertly brewed, truly setting the standard for a perfect cup of joy. The date square was a delightful treat, with just the right amount of sweetness and chewiness. The cinnamon banana roll was simply divine the combination of cinnamon and banana was heavenly. The ambiance of the cafe was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a coffee date or a solo indulgence. The best part is they have so many eggfree options in the bakery section. I cant wait to go back for more! One stop for everything. Highly recommended!

It has a Moms and Pops feel to it, and it is a licensed bar and café. Each Friday, they do a different cultural theme. Patio is quite pleasant.

Everything you hope for when you go into a little hole in the wall! Good food, great portions, amazing prices, & phenomenal service! Would highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for a bite to eat Dietary restrictions: When I asked if they carried lactose free milk the owner said that if I became a regular theyd be happy to bring it in for me! I love oat milk with my coffee but still prefer milk with my tea, the dairy free alternatives just arent the same. First time a coffee shop has ever offered to bring it in for me!

Very cool place. I only had a coffee to go - not rating anything else. The coffee was ok, nothing special. Would come back for food and an evening, the owner tells me they have concerts etc.

Always amazing food, service is great and everyone is super friendly there. I will always come back here for their benny bowl and matcha latte with vanilla ! Delish food and hot drinks ! They remember me each time i come i stop by to grab a bite to eat or even just for a nice hot drink, that to me is a wonderful thing to have someone remember you each time.

Miche cafe is phenomenal! One of the last genuine mom and pop s in the city- and it s easy to see how they survived the pandemic (thank goodness!) Cozy and social atmosphere, incredible food and even better service. Michelle and Alan are truly delightful people. Easily my new favourite hidden gem in Victoria! Highly recommended the Coconut Curry Lentil soup and the life-changing Focaccia that comes with. Whether you re a local or passing through: you must!

A true precious gem in Greater Victoria. A small family owned and run local business with top-shelf, tasty homemade creations combined with good, old-fashioned customer service. When we were there the owners were fully engaged and present and genuinely cared about the food and the needs and desires of customers, checking in to see if anything was needed. We really appreciated this concern and commitment to service . All food offerings were generous portions of scrumptious dishes presented with an obvious love of food more common in Quebec than western Canada. Will definitely recommend without hesitation.

This place is my top favourite restaurant the owners are so nice and amazing and the food is incredible and very affordable prices and so many choices of food that are so good.

What an amazing hidden gem! They ve created a little oasis in the middle of an otherwise drab industrial park. Prices are great, portions healthy and taste was awesome. Definitely will return.

The owners have made this one of the most warm and inviting atmospheres where you feel like one of the family and want to keep coming back and bringing your family and friends. They have built on an outdoor covered patio and also where they bring in musical acts to add to the ambience. The menu has wonderful comfort food and healthy choices....all homemade by the owners.

Baked goods and drinks are great, but I ordered a chicken burger and found the patty very low quality (mushy, processed chicken). My partner ordered the crispy chicken salad and had the same patty with a slimy, expired-tasting dressing. The place has great potential, but menu items need more investment. The ambiance was comfortable and chill, but the food just wasnt on par. We are often excited to try out local scenes, but this time, we were left disappointed.

Went here today for the first time with my wife, it s an unconventional location. It s kind of a strange area near a high school we went in and sat down at the table. We were served immediately, and the food was served promptly. Everything was very delicious very fresh. Everything is made from scratch. We went at lunchtime and there was a lot of kids from the high school that were stopping by and the owner knew every kid by name. It was impressive to see the kids were all very respectful towards the owner and he was respectful towards them. They have a lot of delicious homemade items available. I think there might be gluten-free options as well, everything was fresh and excellent. The prices are very fair and I would love to go back. A+ Recommend

Hands down one of the best cafes in Victoria. Every time that Ive visited Ive had amazing food and entertaining chats with the owners, and their food is top tier. Their feature cinnamon buns are out of this world. Cant wait to go back.

Lovely hidden place with a relaxing and cozy ambiance. Coffee was good. The server/owner was super friendly and sweet. The food was the only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 - taste of garlic was a bit too strong for me personally. Overall, I had a great afternoon here and will come back for coffee if I ever pass by the area.

Jacquie and I met for lunch yesterday, telling tales of the Yukon :). What amazing owners, service food and atmosphere. One of the best gems in Victoria. I took home a container of Split Pea and Ham soup... anyone who can make soup like that can do anything. My son stops into Miche Cafe a couple of times a week. He gets a Poutine or a baked good. Today he stopped in to get an apple cinnamon muffin. As he did this he left his bus pass there. It wasnt until he got home that he realized that he had lost it. I told him to call just to see if it was there. Sure enough it was. Whats so amazing about this is, the owner Allan answered the phone and told my son that his pass could be dropped it off at our home. Absolutely going above and beyond, one of the employees showed up at our door with my sons bus pass. Not only is Miche Cafe a safe place for my son to stop in to get his favorite food and treats. Its wonderful to know how caring Allan and his employees are to their customers. Thank you ever so much!

Had a great lunch here on their patio Monday 27 Jun 2022. The corned beef and cabbage soup was delicious. The egg salad sandwich also went down a treat. Well worth a visit.

I went to Miche Cafe for the first time this afternoon with a colleague of mine, and was absolutely blown away. If I could rate this place higher than a 5/5, I would! Allan and Michelle go out of their way to show kindness to every single person who walks through their doors, and you are guaranteed to leave with your heart feeling full. It seemed as though every person that came through today knew each other, and it was truly such a loving community. This is will definitely be one of my new go-to places. A true hidden gem!

Weve been wanting to try this place out for almost two years now. I am so happy today was the day! It is in more of an industrial area, but Im happy we drove over. They have a great outside patio area, as well as some seating inside. (Not a lot, bit some!) The staff are very friendly! There is an extensive beverage menu, hot and cold, as well as fresh baking, and a daily soup and food special. Today we had donairs (I loved that you got a choice between Halifax sauce and tzatziki!). We had a side of beef barley soup and fries. We both really enjoyed our meals! Flavourful meat, fresh pita and veggies, and just the right amount of sauce! The fries were fresh and crisp, and the soup was amazing! Really filling portion, lots of herbs, veggies and meat to make it very flavourful! It does get really busy over the lunch hour, which does lead to it being chilly when the door is open lots. The food was worth it though, and we will happily be back again!

Went to use the washroom after my partner bought me a coffee. Owner Alan physically chased me out afterwards and accosted me yelling BYE with the snarkiest sarcasm. When confronted about it he denied it, made excuses, tried to claim his rude sarcasm was just a joke and then ran away and refused service. His spouse and employees are on the same team.. was going to go for lunch but the owner is out to lunch - trying to help make a tea by carrying the teabag around in his hand for five minutes. Overall 1 star experience. Have never ever been treated so rudely. Be aware of who you support :/

Who physically leaves the store and chases a nice young lady out? Funny how even your staff member working the till admitted that you followed her out and stated it was just a joke. Nobody demanded alcohol either, ordered politely and then was refused service after pointing out how appalling it is to physically leave your store chasing after a nice looking young lady to say BYE rudely Its your life, play your mental gymnastics to convince yourself that you werent rude, however, it was incredibly - objectively - rude, and you disturbed my partner with social anxiety greatly. An apology is owed. You were in the wrong and it would be appreciated if you would own your actions.

During the pandemic, its difficult for small local places, but the food was really good (big servings!), very reasonably priced and the staff are really friendly neighbourhood people. Definitely, definitely recommend Miche Cafe. (the wasps were a little annoying, but thats not their fault).

Not very consistent. Often out of items or subbed different items. Given wrong tea because the containers werent labelled. When food is as described its fine. I had high hopes after they took over the location from Keekz, but after the change in their hours I cant even get tea there before work. Edit: in response to the owner comment below. It wasnt a chai tea, i ordered peppermint, you gave me chamomile. I tried your cafe again today since my co-worker was going. I ordered the tacos on your menu. If your online menu says beef tacos with coleslaw I dont expect to be brought chicken tacos with potato salad. That is what I mean by consistancy. Edit 2: same issues. Please note the very professional response from owners. Also the tacos were on the menu when they first opened which is what I was referencing. I miss Keekz, that place was great.

In our continuing journey to try the local businesses in our area, we went to Miche Cafe for lunch. WOW!!! We felt like we have hit the jackpot with Miche Cafe! Great staff! Great food! Great value for money! Nice to see a line at a restaurant before the lunch rush has begun. We watched the line as we ate, and it moved quickly through ordering and people getting their food. People picking up food were in and out very fast. We ordered at the counter and our food came quickly to the outside (covered) seating area. The gentleman who took our order brought us (and all the other customers) the food with a smile and a pleasant word or two. We watched him treat several other customers with a caring and friendly attitude. I think we all felt welcome and appreciated! Now to the food - we kept it simple with the soup special. One with bread and one with a small poutine. Both were excellent! Nicely seasoned, tasty and delicious! The portions were generous without being too large. I can see why there is so much repeat business here at the Cafe! We will be back and will refer our friends and family.

I wish I took photos but I will say it was great speed, quality and quantity for the price. The owners are friendly and welcoming and they told me that they do Monday Night Football night. Beer is cheap as well which is always awesome.

Had high hopes for my visit.ordered a bacon cheeseburger fries and a chocolate shake. First the good. The shake was delicious a real good milkshake. The fries were nice. Now the not so good the base for my bun was burned black and very hard. The burger itself was okay the cheese and bacon were plentiful and the lettuce and tomato were fresh but I couldnt eat the burger due to the bottom bun. I took it off and discarded it but the burger was almost impossible to eat with the fixings dripping and the overall experience suffered. All in all pretty disappointed experience.

I love this place! I started coming for coffee when I began working from home recently. I tried their poutine the other day and now im truly hooked! It was delicious home made gravy not the overly salty powdered gravy you seem to find most other places. Im excited to try some of their other offerings as it seems like a lot of stuff is high quality and house made.

Great place for a coffee and a bite to eat. Amazing customer service and a terrific patio. Delicious coffee and baked goods. Highly recommend the Miche Cafe!

Highly highly HIGHLY recommend these guys. It s not just that the food is spectacularly outstanding, the prices fair and the location is so close - the PEOPLE (Alan and Michelle) are so lovely, attentive, friendly and caring that I feel at home everytime I go. I am gluten sensitive but I make the exception with their poutine because the gravy is the most authentic and delicious I ve had anywhere. Worth it. Oh, and the milkshakes... Heavenly. It s a pleasure to support them!

The were out of Macaroni balls, so I tried for BLT... but the bacon wasnt ready, so... I ordered a cheeseburger... but when it was ready... along with 5 others.. someone snatched mine from the group and because they had told me they would bring mine out to me... I continued to wait and after 35 minutes (of nursing my lovely coffee-chocolate $5 milkshake) I enquired. They rushed a fresh off the hot grill cheeseburger and apologized for someones quick hands. The fresh & still hot cheeseburger was excellent

Miche Cafe is just the best. Not only are the owners friendly and thoughtful and kind but the food is amazing. Today I just ordered a small fries which was $3 for a quite big box of sizzling hot fries. They were perfect in every way. Really enjoyed them. What I will remember most though is the kindness of the owners and that is what will bring me back. thanks Miche! I felt like I made a couple of friends today!

This was my second time at the cafe. First time had a cheese burger and a salted carmel shake. Both were great, shake imperticular. Large Coffee, is like a large of old, however coffee needs a little work. Second time we had sausage roll and I had the cinnamon bun. Sorry to say sausage roll a little light in the flavor department. The cinnamon bun under cooked on the inside and over cooked on top. The prices are good. The restaurant is new and a work in progress. Will return to see how they are progressing . Especially for the salted Carmel shake ( to die for!!!)

We had the cheese burger and fries, just awesome. Flavored coffee was good. Took home sausage rolls,cinnamon buns and corn chowder soup for supper tonight.

This place is delicious! I love the simple and straightforward approach Michelle takes to cooking. Allan (her husband) is an absolute delight and runs the front counter with the warmest of welcomes for everyone that comes through the door. These people care about their community in a way you cant imagine until you witness it. Best bang for your buck, too! I eat here at least three times a week and I dont even work in the area. This place is the cross between Cheers and Callahans that I have been looking for all my life. Come and hang out!

A hidden gem ! Miche Cafe is by far the best coffee shop in town. The food is always fresh, the shop is spotless, the coffees and soups are hot and fresh - several to choose from. Home made pastries and genuine smiles. I love that Miche is owner run and they always know the customers names. I cannot get enough of this place !! We had our Christmas staff luncheon catered by Miche too ..... RAVE REVIEWS !!!!!
