Our Italian group meets here every week; we love the quiet upstairs gathering place. The staff is always friendly and competent, and make us feel welcome. Chai lattes are excellent, too.

This place is okay. Its sort of a hit and miss. Last time I went the latte was pretty decent, but today its almost like they just gave me a slightly green tinged steamed milk. It sucks because I paid almost $7 for a matcha latte, to essentially just drink hot milk :)

Not Sure about how the coffee is as I entered the store for taking a delivery for someone but the owners have got a human touch, they work for betterment and they bring a smile on a customers face. The environment in the cafe is the evidence of it. I am extremely grateful that they offered me a coffee just as a compliment but I didnt accept it as I was more then grateful to them for keeping that human touch with a warm smile :) Thank you :)

Nice neighbourhood coffee place. Very friendly staff with good service. Baked goods always fresh and delicious. Love their mezzanine space for study group get-togethers. Dietary restrictions: Really appreciate having some gluten-friendly options.

Drinks are great. I recently had an eggnog chai latte and it was delish! If you dine in with multiple people, you will notice a mish-mash of dishes, all different mugs and plates, very cute. The atmosphere is fine; there is an upstairs area I havent tried sitting in yet, but looks cute. There are some twinkle lights on the main section. Staff are friendly

I saw this coffee house while passing, and pulled up right at closing. They were kind enough to serve me. Flavorful iced mocha, and a large assortment of pastries.

Lovely Esquimalt cafe with lots of seating and great atmosphere. Sophie at the counter was very friendly, and even put in the extra effort to make a cute leaf shape in my latte. Great service.

Worst latte with almond milk coffee I ve ever had in Victoria. $6.30 for a medium. Asked for a refund and grateful they gave me my cash back but the girl gave me a ripped dollar bill. When I asked for a better bill, she rolled her eyes at me again. Will never go back.

Update: coffee was nice and hot on my most recent visit The workers are friendly and provide good service. The drip coffee isnt very good, its also never hot enough and borderline cold. Esquimalt Roasting Company down the road is a much better cup of coffee even though I find the service at Serious Coffee to be more consistently friendly.

ordered a coffee today and it was one to the worst coffees i have ever had. It was so week it tasted like hot water with a hint of coffee. i was very dissapointed i would of taken it back but i had already driven away.

Went to get a coffee last Sunday. It was a coffee catastrophe. Literally, the worst one I had in Victoria. They need to do better for that price.

I love this Serious Coffee location for a number of reasons. Its a large space with beautiful windows and a cozy second floor area too. Its a great place to meet with friends or get some work done. Its also a very community-oriented business. Ive hosted several Meetup social events here, a book club, a knitting group and theyre always super accommodating. Theyre a lovely local business and Im happy to support them. Coffees great too!

New owner wont heat the store, wont provide clean spoons, has unplugged drink cooler...giving serious coffee a bad name. Being really cheap and making it impossible to want to relax and have a coffee inside.

My experience at serious coffee was excellent. I walked in and was instantly greeted, I got the matcha latte, which was super creamy and sweet, my barista was connie who even brought the drinks right to my table. Perfect start to my day!

Barista didn t know what a latte frappe was, even though it was on the menu. After several minutes of explaining, got served a cup of bitter sludge full of coffee grounds. When I asked for it to be sweetened, I got told syrup costs extra . Please train your baristas

This is my new favourite coffee spot! Hidden gem. Great for studying. Quiet, free wi-fi, some plug-ins, and a great selection of coffee & syrups! Really lovely staff, parking available, and super cute, vibey environment! Ill definitely be coming again. :) Parking: Lots of spots, located in a common parking lot with other businesses. Very convenient! Kid-friendliness: The staff were awesome with the kids I saw that came in!

Always a friendly experience with drinks that beat out any of the larger chains. Large selection of syrups to suit any taste. Plenty of in-store seating.

I try not to come here unless I really need coffee. The new owners never have enough people working in the morning. The poor girl was by herself serving the long line of customers making each individual drink before helping the next customer. I think they should bring back the mixing station.

I go here a couple of times a week and it is always a positive experience. The drinks are always very good, and the staff are lovely and cheerful.

The coffee is good but I would really like it if the staff would mark which coffee is which. Now were having to do the sip test. No biggie but most coffee places do it automatically.

If you order a hot chocolate with other milk than dairy milk, be aware they use flavor (chocolate syrup) and not real chocolate or cocoa...They cant make another one cause they dont have cocoa powder... Its lot of sugar, its yellow and not good at all. I have to wait 1h30 for the refund..for 3$... Its really pity.

Its surprisingly spacious. It was very lively on a Saturday but that was good and bad as it was also very noisy. The decaf Americano was really flavorful for a decaf.

Service could be faster, theres no tap option on their payment gateway making it even slower to grab a drink from them and leave. If you wanna sit inside, its a chill environment to be in. Their smoothies keep bringing me back.

The staff is great, the venue is a bit loud, the coffee is average, but the snacks are very good.

Good selection of food; sweet beverages are not overly sugary like Starbucks; nice space - unfortunately they pull a terrible espresso. Espresso should be syrupy and intense - theirs is far too hot and way to much liquid... Like a slightly stronger small coffee.

Drinks are good and there is a lot of room to sit and talk or do work.

This place has a touch of home while being quite professional in execution of products and in their delivery. The Lookout to read from the naval base down the road and the pictures on the wall that change from time to time are from local artists. I even saw a knitting group there once. The upstairs is excellent for more privacy as well.

Bought a pre-made calzone that took way too long to cook which they didnt even properly do as it was still cold basically! Was only able to make it through a few bites and it did not taste that great either. And ironically my Americano was way too hot since it burned my mouth with just a small sip after adding cream to cool it.

Serious Coffee is always good and theres usually lots of seating here, with extra upstairs. Great for groups!
