1950 Oak Bay Ave, Victoria, BC V8R 1C9, Canada
Local family-run Chinese restaurant located in central Oak Bay. Our food ranges from fresh on-the-go lunches to welcoming dinners to dim sum brunches on weekends. Reservations are welcome as well as walk-ins."
This place is fantastic. Some of the best Chinese in Victoria. I like eating in, but take out is solid too. Good portion sizes, always lots of protein and veggies, and great flavour. Favorite dish is the Singapore Noodles with pork/shrimp. 100% recommend Panda Island.
Such a nice experience, they let us sit a couple minutes before opening and dinner was a nice experience to a long day :)
Great place with great food! I came here with a few friends, got 5 or 6 dishes and shared them all. Let me tell ya, their food is tasty. I love the General Tao Chicken. I also love the sweet and sour chicken balls. Definitely not a cheap spot, hence the 4 stars, but what else are you gonna do in this economy 🤷 Would recommend. Great spot. Fantastic.
Good experience. I would recommend this place, as the atmosphere is nice and most of the food is good. be careful about their orange chicken as it is unbelievably sweet to the point where I was legitimately questioning if they simply glazed the chicken with pancake syrup.
Not sure why the rave reviews. We ordered the takeout dinner for four and the food was average at best. Starchy sauces, mystery meat and lack of flavour. Whoever cooked our dishes must of been going for quantity over quality. Disappointed! Still looking for a Chinese restaurant in Victoria that focuses on fresh and flavour!
I was recently introduced to Panda Island -- safe to say it's my favourite place to order Chinese food. Takeout is always yummy and the ladies at the front are so kind. I first tried the dine-in experience today with a friend and the service was fast, and I was always checked in by my server. The portions are big and delicious--I will always recommend Panda Island!!
We arrived in for a typical Chinese restaurant in Victoria, the Panda Island Chinese Cuisine hits on the top rates… after a taste we realized that the food is delicious and the portions are generous!! Both me and my husband are satisfied!!! We ordered the eggplant with spicy garlic, Garlic fries green-bean with minced pork…they are so good with the white rice!!! And we also ordered a bowl of rice noodle soup with the beef, such a good lunch in town! We like Victoria oak Bay Area that it never disappoints us..really recommend it!! Typically Chinese Food!!!
Went for supper as was craving Chinese. Had the combo plate for 1 and added the vegetable chop suey. The chop suey was excellent. The sauce was salty and garlicky in all the right ways. I choose the chicken balls for my combo. It had canned pineapple in the sauce which I know is a thing but not my favorite. The sauce on the chicken itself was nice. Just not a fan of canned pineapple.
Great vegetarian meal for 2! Very tasty food
Favourite Chinese place to go when Im feeling Chinese
My Chinese spot in the island, high quality and the family who owns this place are very kind and always feel very welcomed. I dont like my dad but he recommended this place and i must say I dislike him a lot less now. Thanks panda island, youre great
With the Szechuan restaurant on Caledonia changing hands (and recipes ) we were on the lookout for our new favorite place. Luckily a quick Google search showed this one getting the best ratings (4.6/5) in town, and its 5 minutes away, so we decided to come in and have it fresh. (July 24 2024) We specifically asked about the crispy Mandarin chicken because a picture in one of the reviews showed it as mushy, and the server said if you get it delivered and you dont open it right away... it gets all steamy and thats true, so we ordered it and we were glad we did. The chicken was tender, the outside crispy and the sauce was tasty! It only had 3 little mandarin segments tho, so dont order it if youre hoping for more fruit. The crispy ginger beef was delicious as well, I liked that it stayed crispy in the sauce and had tons of flavor. The noodle and rice dishes were fresher and definitely more flavorful than most Cantonese food in town! The only weird thing was that we ordered two spring rolls when we sat down, and it took us a while to peruse the menu, and still the spring rolls came last but I dont wonder if they made them fresh, because they were amazing and they were filled more than most spring rolls. I find most spring rolls to have the scantiest amount of filling but this was actually quite full of flavorful diced vegetables. The only thing that would make it better would be homemade or jarred plum sauce versus the little packets. We ordered four dishes + spring rolls and we ate more than we should have, yet we still brought home two servings so it was a full four servings for 90 bucks. Very reasonable! Yay its officially our new favorite place Vegetarian options: The vegetable chow mein was really light and fresh and had a fair amount of vegetables or broccoli and celery at least, and the vegetarian fried rice was also good, not as many vegetables and diced small but very flavorful.
We found this restaurant through google reviews, The food and the service are really good. I strongly recommend here. This is the best Chinese restaurant in Victoria .
It was the most delicious meal I ate during my two week trip.
The orange chicken was superb! Our server was so friendly and welcoming! The service was so quick!
Me and my fiance ordered the combo for two take-out, which consisted of Mushroom fried rice, vegetable chop suey, sweet and sour pork and two spring rolls, as well as a side order of the shrimp chow mein. OMG it was absolutely delicious. We had been looking for a decent place for years but had zero luck because either the food was gross or there were bad reviews about them. I sincerely have to say that we were so impressed with the flavor of the food as it wasnt salty at all but very tasty and the portions were surprisingly large, enough for leftovers lol Looks like we have found our new favorite restaurant and they will definitely be seeing more business from us. :)
Our to-go Chinese restaurant in town. Always delicious, family run and super friendly staff.
Friendly staff and delicious food. Vegetarian options: Good for vegans Food : 5/5 |
I dont know what happen to hot&sour soup, price went up and protein stuff went down.. but this time hot&SOUR soup was sweet.. Im sorry I will cook it for myself from now on
Absolutely gross you should be embarrassed to serve such garbage ! What a waste of time to go there and Money to pay for such garbage. Orange chicken ? I really couldn t decipher what that meat was ? Chicken ??? I feel bad but guess what the dog is eating for dinner tonight .. cause I can t. I hope the dog can get it down. So sad
Great food and lots of Gf options and the portions are very generous
Best Chinese food on the island.
Worst Chinese restaurant, Im Chinese and this is not Chinese food at all. I have seen them pick up the food that fell on the floor and put it on the plate, and the most disgusting thing is that there is hair in the food. The toilet was not cleaned at all and they touched my food with dirty hands. This is definitely the worst Chinese restaurant in the world. No, it cannot be called a Chinese restaurant at all.
I was ordering take outs for many times. Loved the salt and pepper squid. It was very good. A few weeks ago ordered chow mein. It was not good. Really, had no sauce, no flavour and the noodles were actually white color. No taste at all. I could not eat it. I decided not to complain, thought it was a mistake. Next time ordered my favourite salt and pepper squid. Was not pleased, it was undercooked and rubbery. Not as it was previously. Too bad, I will never order the food from you again. It often happens that the quality of food goes down after a while. Do NOT recommend going to Panda Island. Ever !
A must try in Victoria. Simply delightful food and very reasonable prices with generous portions. The cheese wontons are a must have Food
Food was amazing, ordered dinner for 4 and wonton soup The taste is not overpowering, may taste a bit bland to others but you can probably request for change. Definitely homemade and healthier food. Favourite was sweet and sour pork and honey chicken Food : 5/5
Th best place for Chinese take out. They are always fast when I call and make an order, usually takes 15 to 30 mins. They are always so kind and I have never had a problem with any of my food orders. You have to try!!
Very tasty and large portions! They do not skimp out on protein.
The customer service was excellent. Engaging and patient service. The food however was awful. Probably the worst food I have eaten in or out ever. It looked great and was well presented and served. But quite honestly me and my wife found it horrid.
Tried this place for the first time Christmas Eve, which was incredibly busy, but the staff were so professional and nice I didn t mind the wait! The food was amazing, the best I ve had on the island and the selection of dishes is excellent. I have been thinking about the bbq pork buns ever since. Highly recommend!
Hands down one of the best chinese restaurants in Canada, excellent food, great service, very very nice. Will certainly Ly recommend this place to anyone who comes to eat good food here.Awesome job keep up the good work!Salute!
Sometimes you find a place that serves incredible food and compliments with excellent customer service. Panda Island in Oak Bay is such a place and it never disappoints. Weve dined in and picked up food over the last few months and we keep coming back.........its worth the drive!
The food was delicious and fresh and plentiful. The restaurant was sparkling clean and the service was lovely. Tge prices are very reasonable too. Vegetarian options: Veg and vegan options available.
Just had for the first time Christmas Eve. It was amazing! Will defiantly be going back!
I got takeout here a few days ago, I got the dinner for one special with broccoli as well as an order of potstickers. I have some food sensory issues so there are a lot of foods I avoid eating. When I ordered, I asked if it was possible to get the broccoli beef with no broccoli, and they said yes and I saw them write it on my order. But when I got my food it did have broccoli. It was fine if they cant remove the broccoli but I wouldve appreciated them telling me so I could order something else. Also, it was mostly fried rice with very little of the broccoli beef. The potstickers were just okay, by the time I got home they were a bit soggy / not crispy anymore, but they would probably be better if dining there. Overall, the food was not the best Ive had but not bad. If you are going here I would recommend getting full orders instead of the dinner for one, and not counting on them to honor any dish modifications. Dietary restrictions: Did not follow my request
Ordered hours ago and my order wasnt ready when they said it would. Was told that one of the items that was ordered wasnt prepared half an hour into the wait. When you get here. You pay and tip before you get the food. So I will be basing my tip off of last service.
Great flavors!! Crispy ginger beef and sweet and sour yummy !! Now our go to for Chinese cuisine.
Friendly and efficient service.
Good food. The service was great, the salt and pepper squid was awesome. Overall great Chinese food.
Cleanest restaurant on Vancouver Island. Love the won ton soup, salt pepper squid are the best and most consistent Ive ever had. Crispy Cantonese noodles and beef/veggies chow fun are so so good! Great service!!! EASY 5 STARS!!!
Good family restaurant, good food and great people:) thanks
All the ingredients are clearly fresh and skillfully cooked. Much better than your average tired Chinese restaurant. Service is cheerful and efficient The dining room is rather drab and routine. Food : 4/5 |
Wasnt impressed with the flavours here. The chicken fried rice had literally no flavour at all, it just tasted like plain white rice. The schezuan fish was mostly just oily but at least had a good variety of veggies. The chicken chow mein was actually pretty good but only because the noodles themselves were tasty, it had virtually no veggies (it might have had 2 pieces of onion and a bean sprout or two in the entire dish), it was just noodles with some chicken. The spring rolls were crispy but again, not much flavour in there. I did enjoy the deep fried cheese wontons, Ive never had those before.
Great food.
I am so impressed! By far best Chinese food I ve had in Victoria. I got the Shanghai thick noodles (so hard to find places that do this dish well!) and two veggie dishes. The staff was so kind and helpful with my vegetarian modifications. Can t wait to order from here again. This would also be a great place to dine in with friends and family. Thank you Panda Island for a wonderful dinner. :)
Small, unassuming place that serves flavourful food made from fresh ingredients. Friendly service too!
Tasty but oily, reasonably priced food. Fresh ingredients all cooked after your order with speedy, clean service. Toilets are well maintained and there is no hesitation for extra crockery or napkins.
I recently ordered two take-outs. One was chow mein (sp.?) with 1)tough pieces of pork, 2) inferior quality soup, and 3) insufficient sweet and sour sauce. The other, beef and broccoli, contained 8 or 9 small bites of beef, every one of which was totally sinewy and thus inedible. A generous portion of rice was accompanied by one small plastic bag of soya sauce.
Yum!!
Some of the best Chinese food Ive had in this town
Honestly the best Chinese food I ve ever had. The ginger beef is my personal favourite! Everyone at the restaurant is so nice and friendly, and the food is worth every $. If I could give them 6 stars I would
Enjoyed the food and environment here. Food was flavourful and it came in a good portion.
My new favourite Chinese restaurant in town definitely. Love their food. Reasonable price. Will sure come back for more.
Standard white people chinese food. Not great not bad.
Excellent food and fresh coffee.
Today I went here for the first time with my wife. We were told to go here by a good friend of mine, who frequently patrons this restaurant. We arrived at about 1 PM and the place was surprisingly quiet, but when I walked in, I could tell that it was extremely clean, very tidy very open, concept the artwork and decor. It was quite pleasing to the eye, aesthetically, pleasing and clean, made me feel comfortable. Our server was quick and attentive. She explained the daily specials. Clearly there were a lot of good options. I also noticed that there are a lot of vegan options not that I m a vegetarian, but I thought I would mention that. I ordered the beef and broccoli with chow mein. We also had the pork wonton soup The dim sum and chicken chow mein. Everything was fantastic. It was not greasy or oily or salty. Everything was seasoned perfectly. The beef was tender. The noodles were larger, but I like them that way everything was excellent. Prices and portions are totally reasonable. In fact, I actually got to take home a lot of leftovers cause I couldn t finish what I ordered. The service was really good , our server was kind and friendly. I would have to say that this is probably the best Chinese food in Victoria BC. I ve never had truly authentic Chinese food so I cannot say for sure how this would compare but for the average Canadian who does enjoy Chinese food I would definitely recommend this place to anybody. I give it an A+ . yummy
Plastic-free takeout containers! And super awesome food.
Fresh, hot and tasty! My stir fried broad rice noodles with beef and vegetables was delicious for lunch.
The best chicken chow mein I ve ever had! Lots of chicken and great flavor!
Very good local Chinese food near Oak bay highly recommended
Wonderful assortment of Chinese dishes served by kind and attentive staff in a comfortable location.
Pretty good Chinese food. Good prices and good portions. There is a seating area but its more of a take out place. More 3.5 stars than 3 stars.
I order fried rice, chow mein, and wor won ton. These were just fine. Not great, just average. I also order General Tso Chicken. That was awful. Slimy, bland, and the chicken coating had a baking soda taste. Not a good experience, I will order from my usual place (Sun Wah) next time.
Amazing food, great service, generous hosts and social and fun atmosphere to relax in while having a satisfying and delicious meal. Basically everything youd expect from a 5 star restaurant. Thank you to all working at Panda. Hope to be back soon. Food
Excellent customer service. Thanks
Really good value for money, the food was beautiful and freshly cooked as always and the staff are so lovely its my favorite Chinese restaurant in victoria
Best . meal . Ever . Wheelchair accessibility: There was space between tables even when full. Walked parking at back. Food : 5/5 |
Excellent food, great staff, reasonable prices and just had our 3rd order this month. We get the dinner for 4 (only 2 of us) and then substitute if we want to try different dishes for only a couple of bucks extra. The portions are large and the dinner for 4 will do 6 meals. Highly recommended!
Great Family restaurant some really great dishes if there is a problem with your order staff promptly will fix your order.
Ordered food for the first time today and the food was excellent!!! By far the best Chinese food we ve had in Victoria. Super friendly service as well! We ll be ordering again soon.
Take out lunch was very fresh, crispy veggies and tasty. Generous portions. Service was fast and friendly. Good value and will return again!
Excellent Chinese food...we have ordered take out various times and finally tried indoor dining. Always delicious! Great service. This is our go to in Victoria!!
Awesome food and service!
Friendly staff, but there is better Chinese food on Oak Bay Avenue.
Brilliant service. Very tasty food. Excellent service. We will return. Thank you for a phenomenal evening.
First time ordering and I must say was very pleased. Lots of flavour. Salted fish and chicken fried rice was so good. And the eggplant dish was outstanding as well. Food was hot and ready on time. Looking forward to next time we order already!!!
Wow! Super friendly, clean and delicious food! We were impressed how fresh and crispy the sweet and sour pork was. Would highly recommend and looking forward to coming back.
Super friendly owner and staff and excellent homestyle Chinese food. We ordered the veggies and beef rice noodles, wontons, Gai lan and sweet and sour pork and fried rice combo. The food hit the spot for us. When we come back to Victoria next time, we will definitely be coming back
Enjoyed a lovely meal here with family from Vancouver. Dishes were very tasty. We in particular enjoyed the curry beef, seafood/tofu hot pot and eggplant with salted fish. The service was also great!
Ordered recently, dramatic improvement from previous management as Mee Wah. Really liked the Chow Mein and Salt & Pepper squid.
Great food and service will be back!
We cant say enough about this excellent family restaurant! The food is fresh and outstanding, with generous portions and vibrant flavours! Thank you Jessica for another perfect dining experience. The green onion pancakes were transcendent!
My only regret was not taking photos of the food! Indoor experience was impeccable. We ordered five dishes and each done with such care and style. Everything was evenly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Service was fast and friendly and I should mention the bathrooms the cleanest Ive ever seen compared to other restaurants in Victoria. We ate sweet and sour pork chops, pan-fried beef rice noodle, salt and pepper deep fried squid, steamed black bean sauce and halibut, and black bean sauce green beans with beef.
Friendly waitresses and good food
Food is fantastic! Great food, great prices and great value! Tip them well they are amazing (on skip you can do contribute to restaurant on top of delivery tip). I go here often as it close to nursing hospital my mother is in, mostly through skip the dishes.
Good food with large portions.
I took two bites of my vegan meal... And let me tell you I am in love with this!!! This is actually intensely bringing back nostalgic memories with family!! Very accommodating please make it perfect by adding vegan spring rolls
Food is delicious.
Best Chinese food I have had on the island so far.
Best food Ive had in quite some time! Definitely will be ordering again!
Great portions, great food, great service! Definitely our new go-to Chinese food restaurant.
We ordered delivery from the vegan menu and it was sooo tasty. We were just disapointed that none of the vegan dishes come with rice or rice noodles, or option to order on the side. Would love to be able to eat more than just vegtables and tofu.
Tremendous house Chow Mein
Best Chinese Food weve had on the island, by far. Their food is fresh, flavorful and savory. Ive tried the sweet and sour pork, chicken balls, ginger fried beef, chow mein, beef fried rice, spring rolls, cheese wontons and the wonton soup. Each and every dish was as good as youd hope for and most were better. The deep fried food has that perfect crunch and the savory dishes have that rich flavor in every bite. The restaurant looks like it was recently renovated as well, looks great and they have some great tea. Id highly recommend trying Panda Island!
Food is always delicious and staff is always friendly and attentive.
Ordered take out, ginger fried beef and Singapore vermicelli. Both were very tasty and the sizes were good for the price! Very friendly staff at the counter when picking it up.
We enjoyed a delicious family dinner, with courteous and attentive service. All the dishes were expertly prepared, and portions were generous. Even the 3 young children ate up all their food! I highly recommend this restaurant.
We had a very satisfying dinner from Panda Island! It all began with a pleasant experience calling in our order for pickup. Our dishes were made on time (20 minutes) and were fresh and tasty. We ordered the Sichuan chicken, and 2 single combos that included sweet and sour chicken balls and beef and green beans with chow mein and perfectly steamed white rice! This will be a go to Chinese restaurant for now on! Quality, good pricing and lovely service! Thank you!
Ordered 3 dishes to go. Got the Home special fried rice, Szechuan Beef with Veg and the Szechuan Seafood Delight Good size portions and all very tasty and not heavy. The lady at the front was very polite and professional. Will maybe dine in next time.
Phoned ahead on a very hot afternoon to check if they had air conditioning. The friendly lady who turns out to be the mother of our waitress and a member of the family who owns the business assured me that the place had a.c. and was comfortable. We were glad we came. Warm reception, fast and friendly service, good food, clean premises, enjoyable outing! Well be back!
Great place. We had amazing meal of wonton soup, Cantonese crispy chow mein, seafood and veggies and deep fried prawns. Portion size was great for price. We also got to watch them handle a mad rush of customers who came in after us and they were friendly, patient and near perfect with checking in despite the many other customers. Our first Chinese food on Van Island but Im sure we will be back.
Great food, great people
Impeccable and overall wonderful authetic taste reminding me of home. 11/10 would visit again.
Great vegetarian and vegan options, staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Portion sizes were great with lots to take home, will definitely be going back in the future!
BEST CHINESE FOOD in Victoria! We have dined in and grabbed takeout- this place is consistently delicious! Top faves are the Wor wonton soup, Shanghai noodles and ginger beef but have yet to try a dish not enjoyed by all. Service is always good and family owned. You will not be disappointed!
By far the best Chinese food in Victoria! Its very fresh and not greasy, unlike other places in town. The combo dinners for 1 are a great deal and absolutely delicious! I also highly recommend the barbecue pork wonton noodle soup! Panda Island definitely doesnt make me miss my prior favourite restaurant. Keep up the fantastic work and food Jessica! Christine and Harry
Excellent food and friendly people!
Very delicious food items Quick excellent service Restaurant is spotless and lovely
Excellent food like the Yang Chow fried rice and Chicken Chow Mein. Good, fast and efficient service. However the Char Siew pau wasnt fresh and have a thick skin. Hopefully the owners can review this and make them better. I would like to give 5 stars but was let down by the taste of these paus.
Chicken curry steam rice delicious thank you see you next time for sure :)
The service and staff were impeccable! The food was flavourful and delicious, and prices were great !! I highly recommend their orange chicken!
The food here is amazing!!!! Totally recommend!!! Try their deep fried cheese wontons and their orange chicken! The staff are friendly, welcoming, and cheerful! My new favourite Chinese cuisine restaurant for sure! Keep up the good work everyone!!
Just found a staple in the chiw mein will not order from them again
I went to Panda Island a few nights ago with my family, and was so glad to have gone. For the record, this is the first review Ive ever written for anything. The portion sizes were generous for good prices, the vegetables tasted fresh, and I left feeling satisfied, not heavy. I will definitely be going whenever I visit Victoria. I suggest the orange chicken dish.
I had the most AMAZING experience at Panda Island! The staff were extremely friendly and even brought our table cheese wontons to try out! For the record, they were so good we ended up ordering a second batch! Will definitely be coming here again. I would definitely recommend the Shanghai noodles, the orange chicken, and the cheese wontons.
The food is so yummy!
Best take out chinese we have had for years. What a great addition to the local choices. We wish you all the best and will be back soon.
Great food and service :)
Just came here tonight for dinner with family and the food was delicious and service was very friendly!
Amazing food and service. Definitely have to try the dim sum combo !!!!
Food was great and staff was great too
What a fantastic addition to the Oak Bay community!! This my first review ever and I want to say that Jessica and her family gave the best service and lunch out that I have consumed in two years. Portions were sizeable and the price was amazing. Everyone at our table left full and happy. I will definitely be a frequent customer. Thank you Jessica and family for such an amazing meal.
Was recommended this place by a chinese friend and was not disappointed. Everything was delicious, the wonton soup was light and not too salty like most places do it, the orange chicken was probably the best Ive had and the noodles were perfect. Very friendly service, reasonable prices and nice atmosphere. I look forward to trying out their specialties in the future as well as the more authentic items on the menu.
The food was great and so was the service. Big portions make for great left-overs
We had a fabulous dine-in meal. Large portions and good quality. Menu has lots of options and variety. Excellent, friendly service...we were there on a busy night and the servers were still very attentive.
Delicious food.
Tried takeout from here the other day. It was ready on time and made with fresh ingredients. Very reasonably priced. A welcome addition to the neighbourhood
Fantastic service..and then the food..WOW..Im quite the Chinese food lover and critic..this was top notch..my new #1 in Victoria
The chow mein was a little bit oily. Service good though.
Great Chinese food in Victoria! The spicy eggplant was delicious as was the potstickers and orange chicken. So great to have a go-to Chinese restaurant in Victoria...finally!
Excellent ginger beef and fried noodles compared to many other places I have been. I will definitely be back to try some larger dishes. The food is also reasonably priced and the dishes are large.
Ha! Went there again on Oct 17 ordered the different dishes! My friends and our children are so glad to have the delicious foods. Like last time, we forgot to take photos because of the food are so good & no one can wait. The price is very cheap compare to the food in other restaurants & also the size/portion is perfect for 3 ~ 5 adults. Surprise good at first time went there on Oct 10, with the help of the server Jessica , we ate the high quality real Chinese delicious food which you might have to find only in Richmond or Hong Kong. I strongly recommended you should find their secret food from the server.
Thought wed give this place a try. Just had takeout, got the basics chicken chow mein, sweet and sour pork & beef broccoli. Very impressed. The beef was tender, the vegetables crunchy, pork was crispy with good tangy sweet sauce, chunks of chicken in chow mein. Will order again.
We ve been going for takeout at least once a week since it opened. Couldn t be better. Really excellent food and super nice service. We recently moved from Vancouver and Panda is right up there with the best Chinese restaurants in the lower mainland.
We ordered 5 dishes to takeaway (we picked it up ourselves) and the food and service was excellent. Food was very tasty, good quality, delicious and large servings. This is now our favourite Chinese restaurant in the whole of Victoria.
Very friendly staff, food was hot and on time, and delicious. The deep fried cheese wontons are incredible (save them for dessert)! A great addition to the neighbourhood.
Great Chinese food! Food was fresh and delicious. Staff were very friendly. The food came quickly and the restaurant was very clean.
This place was truly amazing!!! We have now switched from c. Palace to panda island
We ordered and picked up 2 weeks ago The food was flavorless except the soup but it did have tough squid in it,which were not expecting Yhere was corn in the diced Chop Suey which made me suspect frozen vegetables The dry pork had been heavily battered and there was so much gristle and cartilage we could not find any pork The Chow Mein had only a few onions in with the slimy noodles, again lacked any distinctive flavour
So yummy and fresh ingredients! orange chicken is too die for! Can t recommend this place to enough. Fantastic!
Had the single combos a few times and its been excellent every time. Id have to say the sweet and sour pork is one of the best Ive had.
Wonderful service! Food was ready on time and was delicious. Favourite was the orange chicken.
Pretty hit or miss, ordered 3 dishes, 2 were good/average, and the one which they recommended was horrible, the orange chicken had the driest hard to eat pieces of chicken I have had in my life and it was mainly batter. I would say its expensive for what you get.
Warm welcome received from proprietor for my first visit. Will have wonton soup next time.
