Every worker is so kind and sweet, even as a visitor from another province I noticed just how connected they are with the regulars. Joking around, offering free cups, good morning to everyone. This place will be a shop I return to when I come to Victoria again, have a wonderful day

Baristas were amazingly friendly. Vibe and view is just phenomenal. And food so good I ordered another sandwich for takeaway on the way home.

Kind baristas who remember your name and order day after day along with good cappuccino and muffins for breakfast. Sandwiches are also excellent and can be taken out for hiking outings if desired. During our multiple visits saw the police and fire crews visiting for breakfast. Highly recommend.

Wow! Loved it. What a gem. Who knew you could get an amazing sandwich for 13-15 bucks right in Bastion square. The farmhouse sandwiches are made with Vietnamese baguettes - that is to say - the best baguettes for sandwiches. Fluffy and soft with just enough heft. They toast them perfectly and stuff them full - ours had a slab or perfectly cooked bacon, slabs of fresh cut avocado, a spicy mayo - veg... yum - the interior decor is all charming stone and wood - very cozy but modern. The staff was freindly - the service super fast. The view outside is fantastic! five outta five.

This place is the absolute best, always amazing service, friendly staff and laughs to be had. The food is top notch, literally everything on the menu is outstanding (trust me Ive tried them all). They even cut their own bacon!

This was our go-to spot for coffee & breakfast in Victoria! Delicious pastries, breakfast sandwiches and coffee. I got an oat milk latte with Carmel syrup, the Buttkicker sandwich (spicy) and the butter pecan and earl grey donuts. Highly recommend all of them! The lines can sometimes be long but the service is quick and friendly! Can t wait to come back!

Pros: Awesome food that includes doughnuts to actually breakfast and sandwiches, but still a cafe format. Patio and location are both on point. Friendly, attentive staff. Chairs with backs Cons: A bit pricey. Seating is better than 90% of the cafes in the downtown but it s not a spot to post up, if you feel my meaning. Overall: I m surveying all the cafes in the downtown and this is my favorite spot so far. Come for the food, stay for the atmosphere on the patio. Would absolutely recommend.

Great variety of sandwiches and breakfast options. My toddler was happy with his food here and they had a high chair- some cafes do not. My toddler also dumped my husband s latte all over the floor and the staff were very friendly and kind about it.

I had the Farmhouse Classic and an iced hazelnut latte. The sandwich was a good portion, piled with ingredients, super tasty. It was a little spicy from the Serrano Mayo but not in an overpowering way. The ingredients were very fresh and the bun was soft and held up well. The latte was also very good. The coffee was smooth and they offer alternative milks with no additional up charge. Would highly recommend if you re looking for a good breakfast spot!

Its 9:30 and there was NO line. Very clean with a view of the harbor. Excellent latte and the banana bread delicious. Surprisingly, they dont ask for a tip. Come here. Food

Great breakfast place with a twist.

I have been eating breakfast at Lure since I was staying at the Delta. I figured I m staying there, it s close, it s only breakfast. Mistakes were made, I ll admit that. I stopped here at the Farmhouse this morning and ordered a Buttkicker breakfast sandwich delicious. On top of that, I accidentally dropped money on the ground and a nice lady sought me out and returned it. I love this place. Bravo Zulu.

Great little coffee /lunch spot that I have overlooked for too long! We went for lunch. I had a meatball sandwich which was delicious and super filling. The bread was really fresh and soft, and the sauce was so flavorful. My wife had a turkey club, which she also enjoyed. Cant wait to try another kind of sandwich, they all sounded great.

Really good food and staff. Unfortunately has horrible hours and are closed on the Mondays after a statuary weekend, which is about the only time Id ever get to go down there. Great place and would recommend, just wish they were open more for people like myself who work a 7 to 3.

Where to begin, what an absolute gem. The food is prepared right in front of you, fresh, fast and delicious. The crew here are some of the nicest people. So friendly, and personable, the decor is very warming with lots of light and seating, always very clean and well looked after. My favorite is the classic breakfast sandwich with bacon (so thick). The sausage is good too and the donuts are always delicious. Steps from the harbor with views for days. Can t wait to go back.

Farmhouse is my favourite cafe! And they serve the best gluten-free bunwiches in town - bar none. They staff are fun, friendly and attentive. A great place to enjoy views of the inner harbour, with a quality cup of joe and a delish lunch. Ps they re only open until 3pm Monday- Friday, so get in while you can, you won t regret it. The BBQ Korean sandwich is amazing! It s big enough for two people to split. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. Food only took about 10 minutes to come out! I can t say enough good things about this place.

Excellent. Best sandwiches we have had anywhere bar none. 5 of us went back for lunch at The Farmhouse on day 2 of our trip because we enjoyed it so much the first day. Very good coffee as well. The two ladies working (didnt ask their names) are very pleasant and helpful as well.

Amazing food and service

In the short time I worked close to Farmhouse it was one of the best parts of my morning and lunch most days. The food is amazing, and the people are really friendly and welcoming! The staff remember my name (most people can t even pronounce it) and my order after basically the first day. Really lovely place and people, I ll make a point to come back every time I m in Victoria.

Well not sure if their service is good or not but what I can definitely tell you is that their delivery guy is just bonkers. On July 3, 2022 I was trying to merge into a lane that was leading to the #1 highway. The delivery guy was driving a big cube van, anyway so I turn on my signal light to change lanes and slowly starting to change lanes because it was a tight fit. As soon as I fully went into the lane the delivery guy(behind me) starts tail gating me getting even closer than before without changing speed than makes a fast maneuver to change lanes while passing me and flipping me off(I flipped him off too cause Im no saint) I was driving behind him for a little while and he kept doing that to other people. Im very upset that someone first of all doesnt respect a company vehicle and 2nd doesnt care about other peoples safety on the road, I believe the man at fault should at least get a write up for this if not lose his job. I understand you guys are running a business but you should consider who you give a big van like that too.

Went for breakfast on a Wednesday morning. Couldn t order the Balls From Heaven meal because they didn t have it ready yet! How can a business operate without having their products ready when they open?

I dont usually leave reviews, but that bacon demands one. That might just be the best bacon and egg sandwich that I have ever eaten, and I have eaten thousands. I might even consider myself a connoisseur........ Thick cut, I ordered 2 extra rashers...... fried with a crispy rind that tastes just like pork crackling, I will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Came here after a long walk with a dog fully expecting to get take out and find some place else to eat. Instead, one of the staff brought out a table with chairs and gave our dog a treat. The service alone would have given this place 5 stars, but the food and drinks blew us out of the park. Definitely recommend this place!

Small menu but flavourful. Interesting lattes like a lavendar london fog. As well as tumeric latte. Bacon on my breakfast sandwich was excellent as well as the bagel.

My partner and I are new to Victoria and this place makes us feel right at home. Gluten aware sandwiches AND cookies. Winning combo for me. Can t wait to sit on the patio in the summer!

I love this place cause its so simple with great food. You can eat inside or out and the staff is great. They also do excellent coffee. For some reason theyre closed on the weekend so weekdays only.

Everything is really fresh. They also have really good muffins as well, I had a coffee cake one and it was really tasty.

Really kind patient servers who acknowledge you even when theyre busy. Really good rooibos tea latte!

Breakfast at Farmhouse Victoria is the best place to start the day, I love it for space, place, local food and the girls than run the show! Every item served is local, they are great ambassadors of locally sourced food; from the bread to the home cured bacon, to the locally roasted beans to the made in house treats. They make your orders on the go, so be prepared to wait a bit because, oh my, the few minutes wait is so worth it. Sit on the patio and enjoy the view of the water and the busy people going by, and the flower power of Local Restaurant next door. People are nice in Victoria, really and truly but the ladies at this place take the cake award when it comes to niceness.

Never underestimate the pleasures of a delicious sandwich and a good book in cozy surroundings with pleasant background music, nice staff, and a view of the water! The Buttkicker breakfast sandwich with bacon, egg, avo, and greens was yummy and filling (get an extra napkin because it gets pretty messy towards the end), and the flat white and chocolate chip cookie were excellent as well. Thank you for a lovely escape on a drizzly yet beautiful day!

Stopped in for coffee couple of times.

Had a 16oz cappuccino (which is the largest Ive seen anywhere) and it was good but mild tasting. Could have been a bit stronger. The burgers were nice and very filling. The food is very well-priced, tasty, and fresh. Servers were friendly, and the ambiance was nice

I recently visited Farmhouse for the first time a few weeks ago and its already a favorite. Absolutely lovely place to go for breakfast or lunch! The staff are wonderful, and service is incredibly quick for the quality of the food and drink. Theres a surprisingly wide variety of menu options, either to stay or to go theyre presented and assembled beautifully! Wholesome and refreshing ingredients strike a great balance between homemade and gourmet tastes. I highly recommend the Farmhouse classic, it absolutely cannot be beaten Farmhouse is a treasure of Bastion Square, and considering its placement, I hope they get the business they deserve from downtown Victoria! Theyve made a permanent and happy customer out of myself, and Ill certainly be telling everyone I know about this lovely coffee shop

Warm and comfy ambiance in this place. Their breakfast and lunch sandwiches are a good value and always prepared well. They have regulars whom they know by name.

Didnt even know this place existed until I randomly stumbled upon with some friends looking for a quick lunch stop. Good selection of sandwiches and really generous portions. Got the Korean sandwich and it was delicious.

I just had the best breakfast bun of my entire life from this place. Super fluffy/crispy bun... egg was runny... avocado sprouts siracha and really awesome quality thick bacon. I may go get another one right now.

Awesome little coffee shop with a warm interior decor and friendly staff. Each table has the day s paper on it very civilized. The menu is small but what they offer is delicious: massive sandwiches, flavourful soups and the justly famous Empire donuts. Their turkey club sandwich is amazing and is really enough for two. Ambient music is unobtrusive, and the volume is low. The outdoor patio is also pleasant during good weather (it s not covered) and features a view of the harbour. The indoor restaurant requires you to make it down 3 steps (front) or 4 (side) so visitors with mobility issues may have some difficulties; however, there is a small dining area with stools at street level just inside the front door and of course the patio, which includes a wheelchair ramp. Restrooms and free wifi on site. P.S. I really recommend the new (summer 2019) Berry Lemonade, intensely flavourful and so refreshing. Ask for a spoon so you can scoop out the whole berries afterwards!

Good choice of coffees and their variants. The only thing is that I caught a cold in this café where the winds blow as if we were outside! They could at least close every other door, for the comfort of consumers...

The best latte place in Victoria

The food was pretty good but they served almost everyone (at least 90% of the people sitting around me) with single-use containers by default, without offering a plate or bowl to those eating at the resturaunt, which is so unnecessarily wasteful and not eco-conscious. That said, they were very generous with the meat in their sandwiches which made the price feel fair.

So much more than a coffee shop. Great location directly looking onto the pier. Stunning artisan sandwiches (my fave is the reuben), fresh dail soups, incredible fresh glazed dognuts in crazy flavours like chai and earl gray vanilla. Plus tons of vegan options! The only reason it gets a 4 is because its crazy expensive :(

I was surprised by their great non-coffee drink selection. Tumeric, matcha, and chai lattes that you can get unsweetened! And sugar-free friendly deserts. Also, the sandwiches are massive.
