Food is always delicious here It tastes like a home cooked meal. The hostess was friendly. The waitress was nice, the runner who brought out our food wasn't as friendly. He brought the atmosphere down while coughing near our table all phlegmy which turned our stomach and almost lost our appetite. Wearing a mask isn't going to stop getting customers sick.He was also complaining and not kind of conversation to listen to while eating. The coffee was way too strong and upset my stomach, not sure if it's old coffee that Sat there for awhile, or if it was a dirty coffee pot that needs to be sanitized or maybe home brewed coffee is just better. If it weren't for the amazing food I wouldn't go back. I have been going to the apple tree for 20 or more years, since it was at the hillside mall.
Looks like it's gonna be a really nice, modern, plush kinda place, from the outside. And, don't get me wrong, it's OK. But it's pretty much a Denny's when you go in. And Denny's is OK. I was just expecting something a tiny bit more upmarket.
What a nice treat to enjoy a generous meal at Apple Tree down at Admirals walk today. It was bustling with business and the servers just awesome tending to coffee refills and dessert and CB our bill when we needed it. You certainly got good value for your money. A double eggs Benny and a half a plate of potato medallions for $17.95. A soup and sandwich special was about the same price. We were not disappointed and will be back. Large tables too for groups of 6. And booths for those who prefer. Nice bright atmosphere too. I’ll be back! Oh yes, many types of pies for dessert. We settled for a tart, lemon and a cherry one topped with whipped cream.
Just posting an updated menu. Note that the prices have gone up...inflation is everywhere nowadays lol. Also they removed the mac and cheese from the menu which my child was sad about. Pretty basic food and no good vegan options. The meals were largeish portions so that was really good and the food is fresh and good quality. Our server was exceptional...if you want great service, ask to have Deb. I always enjoy finding new places to try out and this is a gooder (if you are not plant based lol)
I have frequented this place with my gf. I had a burger the other day and found it to be processed tasting. Hence, it was not a homemade patty. I will continue to go to this restaurant and support the owners, and try new dishes out. They are a lovely couple. Support Local! 🩷
Had fish and chips it was hot and with a fresh battered cod. Friend had baron of beef with onion and cheese. It looked good.👍. Service was great and fast. The resturant was very busy. Will be back.
I got the eggs Benny. It came to my table in less the five minutes and the restaurant was busy. The food was so flavourful. My favourite eggs Benny yet. The eggs were so vibrant they are definitely great quality!
Just had a family dinner outing here with my wife and 5 year old son. Our server was magnificent, so attentive and friendly! Incredibly satisfied with the service here, and our food was at our table in under 10 minutes even though its busy. Prices are very affordable. We ordered a clubhouse and the fish and chips, food was decent nothing special. The corn "chowder" was not actually a chowder since it's not cream based but overall I was impressed, will visit again sometime!
The staff are wonderful at accommodating our group, sometimes without a reservation. Friendly and so efficient. The Apple Tree is our go-to restaurant for breakfast on Sundays Vegetarian options: My friend had the vegetarian Benny
The breaded veal cutlet dinner was very tasty and well presented, with fresh veggies. I will make this a favorite spot.

My husband had a salad. Regular home made food...I wanted mashed potato but they too do smashed potatoes with the skin on...so I bypassed my craving. The clubhouse sangy was ok ...I could not have tomatoes, so that would make it plain. Lots of free parking and handicap assessible.
Ok breakfast offerings, I would like to see some restaurant, ANY restaurant, on the island near Victoria, offer peameal as a choice. If I ever find one that does, it will be my go-to. Heres your chance Apple Tree to set yourself above the rest. Updated* Sept 20th 2024, my server, or, the kitchen, can not follow the most basic of requests. Paying more attention to the customers order would be one of the most prudent requirements of a business that is looking for repeat patronage. Strke 2 Apple Tree.....

Great family owned joiint, Welcoming and friendly interior and enviroment. You can really tell all the staff care about the buisness, its employees and the customers. Good size portions for the price and very delicious.

One of my favorite senior restaurants. Im only 32 but I like restaurants that are stuck in 2006 - makes me feel young. Service was amazing, my coffee was always looked after, pancakes were amazing. 10/10 Recommend.

We both had the traditional breakfast. Food was decent and portions were generous, perhaps a little too generous. I didnt notice a small portions option on the menu, but I would like that option the next time we visit. Dietary restrictions: They were knowledgeable about and accommodating with gluten free options. They had gluten free toast and pan fried my partners hash browns.

I have been going to Apple Tree for over 2 decades. It is a diner type atmosphere, unassuming with tasty food. The menu is not extensive (which is a good) thing, prices are reasonable and the staff is excellent. It is a little out of the way, but worth the drive.
I love traditional restaurants like this. It sure beats another soulless chain restaurant serving another breakfast sandwich. Apple Tree serves traditional food in a relaxed setting. I was greeted warmly and seated immediately, and within a minute my order was taken. The food arrived very quickly. It wasnt what I ordered, but it got there fast and I was in a hurry. It proved to be very good, and after experiencing breakfast Im looking forward to trying more of the menu. If I have one criticism, its that the soft drinks have a strong chlorine flavour. Filters to deal with this are not expensive.

We had a very nice lunch here with a long stay, catching up with friends. Service was attentive and they kept our cups full while we visited. We had sandwiches and hot meals, all very well prepared. Very pleasant and unrushed, we will be back.
Its the best restaurant Ive had in Quebec, the ladies are really helpful, they take care of their employees like they would their own child and the food is more impeccable, go take a look, youll see how you get to know all the employees all the bees they are there to serve you with a big smile and its really worth coming back to eat a good apple pie or other business since signing its really great are in front of a heart of gold

I was so flabbergasted today Feb 12/2022 ,i was told to turn my phone down , but the whole restaurant is noisey , and also was told no discount for retired military just active members as the active members are struggling . This use to be my favourite restaurant ! I was also told i called the one person racist which I didn t ! She assumed i did but those words never came out of my mouth ! Then to boot the person said see you soon , i said probably not , then she says thats fine. So tired of racism

We love this place but the last two visits haven t been the greatest. Our food looked like it had been on the grill for approximately 22 seconds. My Montecristo was mushy in the middle. The biggest beef I have is not wiping the seats off. It seems a number of people don t understand proper hygiene. If you smell like urine please stay home. If you re guaranteed to leave a stench behind for the next diner please also stay home. Twice now in the last month I ve been stuck with stinky seats. Pretty gross when you re trying to enjoy a meal.

Went there wth my in-laws it was pleasant atmosphere great staff the food was more like a home cooked meal than a fancy restaurant but that s exactly what I expected and wanted it was a pleasant experience all around. Also some of the most friendly efficient and attentive staff you could ask for considering that this restaurant has been there for quite a while too it was clean and warm and inviting inside
Apple tree restaurant is one of my fave go-to places. The staff is super friendly, the food is great and the kitchen is fast. They have one of my favourite veggie burgers in the city. Highly recommend.

Had a birthday reserved for 31 guests. Staff was very friendly and the food was delightful. The wait times were surprisingly quick, considering how many guests we had. Highly reccomended.

I just ordered breakfast from here and I asked for beacon in a separate package because my girlfriend doesn t eat meat and it was on top of her food. I also got my eggs hard and they are hardly cooked. What a terrible waste of money everything went I. The garbage.

My family and I love to eat here. Every thing on the menu is reasonably priced. They offer a wide range of food styles. One of our favorites is the light dinner. The light dinner gives you an entree, a main course, and a dessert all for one low price. It is surprisingly just right though when I ordered it the first time I thought it would not be enough. Just remember they are shut Mondays.

Outstanding find - best breakfast I ve had in years. Everything cooked perfectly: eggs, sausage, toast and amazing fried potatoes. Also great coffee which is unheard of. Definitely worth a try. Clean family restaurant in mall with lots of parking.

Probably the friendliest best staff in all of Victoria. When you walk in you feel at home and are treated like family. My family has frequented there for many years, even before it changed locations. Is it the best food in the world, no, but it is edible and the coziness makes up for it.

The best fishn chips Ive had...and Im picky. Crispy, always hot, fries never get soggy and no pooling of grease on the plate. Packaged tartar, but its ok. Love it. Staff warm and welcoming and very accommodating. Like cheers...they know your name and even remember your faves. Also...hats off to them for the great job they are doing since covid. Breakfasts are good and really yummy burger too. Becoming family favorite
