Your friendly neighborhood restaurant.
Excellent service, very polite waiter. Nice quiet atmosphere to just sit and chat with a friend over coffee. Will definitely come back for a supper meal.
My beef dip and cole slaw were very good, the dipping jus was very tasty and the brownie topped it off, warm with a nice ball of vanilla ice cream. The waiter was very friendly.
If I could give -5 I would be! My Mac and cheese was actually soup? I’m not sure what sauce was on it or what? But I was very unimpressed! On top of that they forgot to put through half my order so when I arrived to pick up my food, I had to continue to wait bc they hadn’t put my entire order through?
The service was decent. However, the food was atrocious. Soaking in grease, lack luster, and we ended up not eating our whole meal. We didn't want to be rude so we got our meal packed and ended up throwing it in the garbage when we got home. The food was not edible. The bar drinks are horrible, lacking skill, and barely drinkable. Their menu needs to be updated because most dishes don't have the listed ingredients. Lastly, They advertise smoke meat on their menu, but they don't offer it.
We were in the area for a short stay from the mainland , and I found the food wonderful and hot and flavourful. The pizza was one of the best I’ve had! Wings and fish tacos were also excellent. Service was prompt and efficient. Happy hour specials are great and can save you a few dollars.
Went in for my lunch break and I got the beet and goat cheese salad, it was so good!! Wasn't busy, service was good and it was cozy. The booth benches were really hard but that's hardly anything to complain about.
My husband and I went in for a late lunch. Service was friendly and very polite but slow. We enjoyed the chill, laid back atmosphere and the paintings with the animals are cute and interesting. The food was delicious. We would have gone a second time, but we were just visiting Victoria.
Dropped in for a quick bite. My favorite was the Dark Matter beer by Hoyne brewing. The loaded tots were delicious and plenty for two to share. I love roasted carrots, and theirs did not disappoint, great flavor and perfectly spiced. Add smoked chicken to any dish to make it a perfect combination! I'm glad we stopped.
We love this cozy little place! My partner and I go for their amazing butter chicken! Also, my son loves the pizza too! Ohh and the beet salad! All so tasty! Great spot if you want to feel comfortable, listen to great music and enjoy your food!
The Crooked Goose is a fantastic family-owned and operated neighbourhood gem! The food is consistently great, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the regulars create a wonderful sense of community. Whether youre stopping by for a quick bite or a relaxed evening, this spot never disappoints. Highly recommend!
I order 2 pounds of chicken wings through Uber Eats today, hoping I can get the best wings as I always do in the past few years. They turned out the worst one ever, even worst than the pre-seasoned from the groceries. I ordered salt and pepper and Thai chilli garlic. The salt and pepper are too wet, Thai chilli garlic are flavorless and none of them seemed to be deep fried with a crispy coat of flour. I have ordered their pounds of wings home many times and I am sure know how they are supposed to be. I know the restaurant have changed their chef a few times in the past few years, food quality and dishes are different but this time is by far the worst. I know everything is tough now but you cant serve food like this in a such long term reputation restaurant! See the picture I attached, dont you just lose your appetite right there?! I want my money back!
Server forgot about me after ordering, left for 20 mins and had friend join in the meantime. When came back didnt remember I even ordered. Server then forgot more ordered items. The wings tasted like garbage couldnt even finish them. Used to be the best place for wings! New owners really butchered things. Was so bad we left and went to another restaurant in the area instead. Will never come back.
Came in at a dead time barely anyone in restaurant. Ordered 4 mimosas took almost 20 minutes to get them, and two of our glasses were filthy. Took another 10 mins for the remake. Decided after that to not eat there. Service was non existent.
Food was way over cooked, soggy english muffin.
Nov 4/24 New ownership, the food seems to be better. My cajun chicken burger was cooked nicely. I found the spice too salty and a bit too much ranch sauce made for a drippy burger. 2.5 stars. 2023 review: I am a long time customer and the food has deteriorated to mediocre minus. Gordon Ramsey would be horrified. More effort can be made by the head chef and owner to improve. We had a 1/2 rack of ribs and scraped off the obviously bottled sauce and the meat was tasteless. Chicken burger is small and came without the bacon, which I had to ask for after the burger landed on the table. Better to make a reso and drive to Med grill, similar price, way better food.
Had to ask 3 times before the person understood I wanted to know if they sold tea before I got the answer. Im sure they might have good product. But big barrier to ordering
Great place and good people.
All dressed chicken bites are the best.
Just out of date. Menu is nothing special. food is not anything great either. That being said, I dont think this place is really trying to elevate them selves. The nice young lady serving did an excellent job.
Good service and great pizza
I went for lunch with a co-worker late afternoon on a Saturday. I wasnt really sure if it would be any good or not because the parking lot was nearly empty but I had no need to worry. We both had the fish tacos and salads: she had the Ceaser salad and I had golden beet with goat cheese. Very simple dishes, sure, but man was it good! I wasnt very hungry when it came to the table but I would have licked the plate if no one else was there, the dressing on the salad was that good. To top off the great food and lovely service from a very attentive, but not annoying server the bill was only $46! We never ordered drinks other than water. All the way around it was a good experience and I will definitely be going back when I am in the area.
For some strange reason they crank the music like a dance hall. Terrible ambiance...
If youre seeking a dining experience that combines exceptional food with a warm, inviting atmosphere, look no further than Crooked Goose Bistro. The roasted beet salad is a standout, with its perfectly balanced flavors and vibrant presentation. It s a gem in the local dining scene, and one that I highly recommend.
Went for a quick early dinner after a full day of traveling. The food was delicious (had Thats a Wrap with falafel and a side salad). Honestly, most wraps are generic and just ok, this was delicious. My traveling companion had the same with the crispy chicken and thoroughly enjoyed it as well.
Food was delicious.
Beef dip, amazing service, friendly staff, fantastic food!! Loved it! Ill be back for sure Vegetarian options: Read it on the menu, I had the beef Parking: 20+ at a guess Kid-friendliness: 12 and under menu
Its our neighborhood pub and it really needs a good chef. The food at the Rose pub is awesome and prices are reasonable. Good food and pricing reasonable will bring the people in. Chefs dont wear sandeles in the kitchen.. its okay but needs improvement.
First visit. Tried Brunch eggs Benny. Very good and nice portions.
Avery is amazing and can make any drink you want.
Food was fresh and absolutely delicious! Pulled pork was awesome, as were the fish tacos! So much flavor! Wonderful staff as well! Highly recommended
Havent been here in a few years and definitely wont be back. Food was trash. Would not recommend
We had driven by the place a thousand times and always thought of going in, until we finally did. Local pub style, service and food are great. Feels like one of the undiscovered gems in Victoria. Reasonable prices, good food and service, not sure what else you need. Highly recommend
Great service and the pizza was delicious! Awesome vibes
Very busy. They have very good food.
Pizza was awful tasted like wood and the burgers were too big could split it four ways not to mention how small the menu was.
I knew it wasn t a good sign when we pulled into a nearly empty parking lot at 6:30 on a Saturday night. Now I know why. No service!! Sat at our table for 30 minutes with just pop. Left and went to an actual restaurant, had to wait a few minutes to be sat, but at least we got food. Never again Crooked Goose.
Cozy, comfortable atmosphere. Well priced, well portioned food that is absolutely delicious!
We ordered take out twice from here while visiting on the island, so it was good enough we went back. A couple of rib meals and a caesar salad. The portions were very plentiful and it was all tasty. The half rack of ribs was quite generous as was the small salad. We did get one half rack of ribs from which the skin on the bottom had not been removed, a little annoying but not a big deal. The baked beans were nicely spiced. My personal preference would be for the beans to be cooked a little softer, but Im sure tastes differ on that. Their screens with sporting events might be attraction for those who like that when dining in. For us, the screen distraction is a negative but no problem when doing carry out. All in all, great food, ready on time, and courteous servers.
Excellent service and the food was great!!!
Great place to go
We are in the neighborhood and have been here for a few visits; We were not impressed with our meals. Tonight we just wanted to go for a bevy. We sat at our table for a very long time with no service and left. :(
Great staff, good happy hour.
They sure know how to do a good right up on their menu... terrible food. The cheese curd in the poutine was half frozen ... store bought aoili .. Very very disappointed. Home now downing pepto bismo.
This place has the type of urinal refreshers that prevents any splashback while you pee, so thats an automatic four stars. The extra star is because the service, food, and atmosphere is amazing. If I could give it 10 stars I would because they employ local musicians. Love this place!! This is how a pub should be run
Was hoping it was better
The food was good and plentiful! We had the pulled pork and rib platter and it was huge! Food
If I could give Tom 6 stars I would.
Excellent food, friendly service, classic rock , who could ask for more?
We tried brunch today. The place was roomy - lots of space. The service was friendly and responsive. Enjoyed the Steve Smith benny that was topped with avocado and tomato on cornbread. I was surprised they added corn kernels into the benny meal. We also tried their homemade jam with toast.
Really enjoyed our first visit. Pulled pork was very good, and so were the pound of salt and pepper pound of wings. Their homemade chips are great. Prices are reasonable. Will definitely be coming back!
Appetizers were anything but appetizing. Booth seats have needed repair for ages judging by the appearance. I wont go back sorry. *Edit We gave this establishment a second chance for Valentines Day dinner which we both regretted. Our dinners were like cafeteria food. We live in the area, but my wife and I agree we wont give the Crooked Goose a third chance. PS our server did a good job, and this edit is not a reflection of the service, but a commentary on our repeated dissatisfaction with the quality of the food.
Good prices. Happy hour was fun
Eggs Benedict, homemade and delicious!
My family and I love the crooked goose!!! The staff are very friendly and helpful and the service is excellent the food is delicious! I recommend them to all my friends and family!
Crooked Goose has long been a favorite of mine since I first found it by accident around 2015. Every time I go I have to get their the works wings , they are the best wings Ive ever had, hands-down! The atmosphere is friendly and warm; the staff works well together and keep a an up-beat vibe and are very informational and attentive. During my recent visit I had Jewelley as a server for me and my girlfriend and she was incredibly pleasant, very attentive and charismatic. Two days later we came back and she already had our drinks memorized and was very friendly and warm. For anyone looking for a Local Secret Spot - Crooked Goose is the place and I cant recommend it enough
My sweety and Is ferry got changed over so we decided to pop in on a time schedule and had to be out within the hour. Jewelley helped us out the first time we went in and the second. She was very kind and charismatic and had a very sweet energy to her both times. She was attentive and payed attention, she was fast and efficient and did it all with grace. We got in and out with so many smiles in a great time. Good food, good drinks, great people and the best quality service.
I will never go here again. The bartender spiked my drink.
I like some of the food from this restaurant their dirty tots are amazing but I just ordered a steak had it delivered by skip the dishes and it was seriously undercooked. I asked for a medium but it was completely raw in the center and was closer to Blue rare than rare. My boyfriend used to run the kitchen in a steakhouse so we are not critiquing from an uneducated viewpoint. I find the chicken underwhelming as it is all dark meat and cheaper cuts. Weve tried this place a few times but I dont think its going to stay on our rotation. If youre worried about heart health or cholesterol this restaurant is definitely not for you there are not many healthy options which in this day and age I think people expect. Southern BBQ is great and all but theres a reason Texas has the highest obesity rate in North America.
The waitress was super awesome, pleasant and nice. However they did not accommodate ketogenic food requests or alterations to the wings. The food was in all honesty not great and I would not recommend or return. Dietary restrictions: They do not cater to ketogenic requests. The food wasn t great, but the waitress was super friendly. Would not recommend or return Parking: Lots of free parking Wheelchair accessibility: Tons of parking
Peas in a prawn mac and cheese dish.... Sorry doesnt work. Ice tea tastes like a brown Mr. Sketch marker smells.. nice looking place decent service. Would try again but will stick to soda and try a pizza
The food was excellent- the drinks (cocktails) fantastic- but it was missing ambiance.
Really disappointing. Went for weekend brunch and both myself and another person at my table ordered eggs benedict. Both plates were served completely cold, and when we told the waitress she simply said sorry about that, with no offer to remake or reorder. The service had already been very slow and we didnt have time to get anything else. At $20 a plate, we at least expected a warm meal, not cold eggs and hollandaise. Sub-par quality and service.
We visit every Monday after our Duplicate Bridge Game. Service is friendly. Great place to go for a corndog and diet coke!
Passing through the neighborhood and decided to stop for lunch. Very good choice, extensive menu, great draft beers and attentive and sincere service made this reasonably priced lunch quite a pleasant experience for us.
Great food
got the chicken sandwitch and it was absolutely slapping. props to the kitchen
This has become a reliable spot for my partner and I to go for good food and drinks! Staff are friendly and attentive, they have interesting specials and have some great staples like their pizzas.
Shared a lunch here with two ebiking buddies. I found the menu appealing however the place was a tad noisy (couldve been due to this being St. Patricks Day). Wait staff were pleasant and attentive.
The place was clean and pleasant. The honey garlic chicken wings were amazing! crispy on the outside, and perfectly moist and cooked on the inside. The corn dogs were a nice treat. A great local comfortable and friendly place,
The fried chicken sandwich, smoked chicken thighs (best Ive had), baked beans and corn bread were spectacular. Service was also excellent! However, you have to do something about the coleslaw! You know its going to be bad when even the server warns you about it and places a salt shaker on the table lol We all know that coleslaw can be hit or miss no matter where you go, but this was BAD, not even salt could save this bland pile of ruffage. The dressing tasted like watered down mayo with zero acidity (ahem, vinegar!). I gave up fries for that coleslaw! I will say that the ruffage (cabbage) itself was fresh, so theres that. If I can make a better coleslaw from a bag and bottle of coleslaw dressing, theres no excuse for this at a smokehouse. Id definitely visit again, but Id never get the coleslaw again. Parking: Parking lot super full for just a dentist and restaurant in the plaza. The restaurant wasnt at capacity and it was the evening so it didnt make sense that the lot was 99% full.
Horrible food and service. The worst experience Ive had in Victoria.
I usually don t complain, but this time I had to! The quality of the food was like it was cooked yesterday and heated in the microwave. The price points are simply way too high for the quality of the food. The service was HORRIBLE, there is clearly no standard here on how their servers should be treating customers. If you re thinking about going here, I would highly recommend reconsidering and saving your money. There are much better places in the area!
The service was awesome, the atmosphere was quiet, the eggs Benny were great but wasnt impressed with the tater tots even though I ate them all, lol. My Goose juice was delicious ! Food
Foods is a serious meh, not sure why they call themselves a smokehouse.
Fully dressed wings Are amazing
Awesome awesome food. I ve tried a bunch of items on their menu by now and they all hit the spot
Food was mediocre at best. They brought out and served the rib dinner to us; it was ice cold, no meat on the bones and charcoaled beyond recognition or flavour (except burnt!). Slapped on some cold BBQ sauce to top it off...ugh. Id be highly embarrassed to serve that at a smokehouse which is supposed to specialize in this. No kids meals, although they have a kids menu. Drinks are not included and no treat for kids. The cheeseburger meal is way to big for kid under 12 (unless they have a HUGE appetite.) Costs $14, then add the 3 fingers of kid juice for $3.95 and youve just paid almost $18 for your kid to eat maybe half. To be fair, the fries (came with burger) were good and arugula on beet salad was fresh, although there was about 5-6 crumbs of goatcheese...lol. I paid over $80 for 1 pound of chicken wings, a beet salad, kids meal, diet coke and one beer. I sent the disgusting excuse for ribs back. Your money is better spent elsewhere!
We love coming here. The food is always delicious. The drinks are so good. The only thing I would change are the chairs as they arent very comfortable, but the food and service make up for that, and its a very minor factor.
fantastic ribs. great service.
Very fast and friendly staff and good food aswell
Hidden gem, but worth the hunt.
Very good pulled pork, beans, corned bread. Waiter was nice.
The staff are a cohesive and kind group. I love going to the Goose!
Very nice place. Food taste really good and fresh. Good selection for drinks and my kid eats free. Many things homemade. Coming everytime I visit Victoria with my family.
Was there for dinner. Had the smoked chicken thighs, macaroni and cheese, and the beet and goat cheese salad. Food was phenomenal, especially the smoked chicken. Service was excellent. Will be back again.
Very nice relaxing environment and good food and sevice
This is a cozy Restaurant that has a good menu and is reasonably priced. It was very busy when we visited and the staff were friendly and prompt. It took a while to get our food (25 mins) but we knew that when we ordered. The food was good. I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was tasty. The side of poutine wasnt great, but it was serviceable. I would go back again, maybe for their Trivia Night as it looked those folks were having a great time. Kid-friendliness: They have a good kids menu with reasonable choices.
Fun trivia night. Enjoyed the service and food
New Management Falafel wrap was amazing. Food
Unfortunately, the food was not good. The delivery order my partner and I received; the coleslaw was dry. The BBQ chicken, and ribs were well over cooked, and had a very strong bitter smoke flavor. The portion size was disappointing, for the price of the chicken we kind of expected thigh and drumstick.
Good burger service was great just good all around burger.
VERY good little bites, with tasty cocktails as well, staff were ON IT and if we wanted for anything they were there like BAM! will definitely be back
Great staff and service. I had the Tot Poutine. Amazing.
Service was horrible
They have a big sign out front identifying smoked meats. The menu had smoke chicken and all kinds of goodies. Server said no more smoked meat. So I got the grilled chicken. It was very unappetizing and not looking anything like the 28 bucks it was listed for. So I sent it back and asked for fries that never came. Our whole party left and I went to McDonalds cause well, I couldnt even eat the food they served. There was no manager only some Supervisor and the bill still vame to 78 bucks for 2 of us. Sub par.
Delicious food- would especially recommend the wings
I have never seen such a slowest takeout service in my life . Kitchen staff need to be changed
A good restaurant for delicious dinner! We got here after a very long drive and it was delicious! From the outside the shop is a bit inconspicuous, but dare, its worth it. The pulled pork was great, very flavorful, and the service was good too.
The first couple times we ate here the chips (fries) were really GOOD, like crispy pub chips.. then we went back just for fries again and this time they used a completely different kind Like freezer fries or something and they weren t really crispy We don t get to eat out a lot so we really value consistency, and good chips! Might try again sometime
We must have dropped by on a slow night. The staff was inexperienced and did not take my friends order correctly. The staff was friendly and well-meaning.
A nice place to go if you want a quieter atmosphere. The food was good as were the drinks. The servers were accommodating to my gluten-free request and my Caesar cocktail specifications. Dietary restrictions: They were open to accommodating my gluten-free request.
Terrible food and service!
Had the Belt breakfast sandwich. Very tasty. The potatoes were spectacular.
Very helpful and friendly service. Good drinks. Good food. Decent prices.
The eggs Benedict was over priced and didnt taste good at all. How can you charge $20 for two eggs and sliver of ham. Not recommended at all
Super friendly staff and atmosphere!!
If youre in the mood for a carnivores delight, look no further than Crooked Goose Bistro. This place is a haven for meat lovers. The menu offers a tantalizing selection of dishes that will send your taste buds into overdrive. From juicy steaks to succulent burgers, theyve got your meat cravings covered. Be prepared for a meat coma because the portions are generous and the flavors are outstanding. Pair your meal with one of the many beers they have on tap, and youre in for a treat. The beer selection here complements the hearty dishes perfectly. What sets Crooked Goose apart, aside from the delicious food, is the attentive staff. They provide great service and make sure you have an enjoyable dining experience. So, if youre ready to indulge in some serious meaty goodness and enjoy a good brew, Crooked Goose Bistro is the place to be. Just remember to bring your appetite!
Nice family and locals place. Great happy hour menue and good weekend breakfast. Food has been okay and the service has been good. Also they have corn dogs!
The Crooked Goose was nice. Our server was incredibly friendly and we really enjoyed her service. The menu seemed a bit unusual. It didnt have much cohesion aside from the fact that all the meats served appeared to be smoked. We ordered pre-dinner drinks and our meals. Both came at the same time. The drinks took longer than usual to make. My husband enjoyed his meal. I didnt like mine. Mac n Cheese was probably not the best choice, but I figured when restaurants have this on their menus, they must have an incredible recipe for it that will stand out. The Crooked Gooses Mac n Cheese was very dull. I added smoked chicken to the dish which made it worse. I would visit again. Based on my partners appraisal of his meal, I would want to try something new and give the place a second chance.
Good food but sometimes customers orders are not delivered correctly
We went for the weekend brunch, and had the steak hash and the pulled pork hash, which were both phenomenal. Also had the Caesar, which was also good!
Service was great! Place was clean, quiet, and food was decent. Steak was perfectly cooked!
Loved our recent visit here. Brunch menu is exciting and the home baked bread is delicious. Our server Reese went out of his way to make sure we were very happy. Good food, good staff.
Good venue. Friendly staff and good food. Chicken was fabulous. A little expensive but very delicious
Delicious food and good gin cocktails. The service is friendly, fast and efficient. Our go to place in the hood
Not really my type of food but host was great
Pretty good spot, very delicious soup, roast beef sandwich, pizza, and tater tots (those were an instant hit). Left feeling full and happy. Definitely worth a visit!
Their pizzas are great! Super friendly staff too
Amazing food and friendly service. If there was more than 5 stars, I would be delighted to give it!
The food was amazing, very tasty smoked options. Very nice e
Full house meat platter, not the best but good enough.
Great service and fantastic food! Pulled pork was delicious. Live music on a casual Sunday afternoon.
Great service and delicious food! Cheese cake was very tasty!
Amazing food, excellent service.
The food is delicious! Theyve recently switched things up to a Smoke House rather than traditional pub food and its all very delicious! That said, the prices are above average pub fare, so be prepared to pay a bit of a premium. Service is always lovely, the drinks are good and they have many rotating beers which is fun. Will definitely be going back!
Used to love this place - think it changed hands recently - menu very different, all very similar, not a lot of variety - brunch sausage resembling a large hockey puck was dry. Might give them another chance.
Missed old favourites. Check on line menu before going if you are looking forward to the old Crooked Goose . Disappointed
Excellent BBQ joint. So many items to choose from we will have to go back for more. Amazing beer selections. Atmosphere was wonderful. Great service and great prices
Good eats plus their soups are really good
Staff were nice, do not order a burger and fries the burgers are dry with almost no toppings and the fries were soggy. Maybe they have other stuff that is good.
It was OK. Limited menu for anything healthier. Service was great. Beer was good.
We were excited to be here for the 1st time in 2 years. I think they have new owners... I used to love the burger and house salad at this place. The bun was rock hard and the burger was dry. Wings were sus Went back may 31 and food was much better
So thankful to have a local pub down the street, even more thankful that it s phenomenal
Honestly this place used to be quite good before the changes happened with ownership. Was always our go to in the neighborhood, but the food is quite mediocre and bland. Don t have much flavor and they don t have the usual sauces available. Pretty overpriced for everything, paid over $20 for a house wine. Disappointing to say the least.
Ordered the Burger, fries, wings, Mac n cheese, fish sticks. All rather disgusting! What was that stuff they called tarter sauce? Dry burger...and to pay so much extra for cheese??? I only ate the food because paying $70 for this meal was shocking. McDonalds would have been better. Will never go back. If you want to charge this much for food it should to be amazing. Wish I could go back in time and chose a different place to eat.
Good food and good beers.
The food is always really good here!
I had a burger and it was really delicious. Service was friendly and solicitous. Parking: Reasonable parking though not easy to get into or leave. You definitely have to consider where youre coming from and going to so you can get to the lot.
Amazing smoke house. Their in house BBQ sauce was was also very tasty. I had the baby back ribs and they were so good. I will definitely have them again. My wife enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich and fries. She ate every bit of it. We went on a Sunday night and they had live music. Great musician. It was an excellent night. Well done Crooked Goose!!! Looking forward to the next visit.
Good food, good service.
Good food, very nice people
We stopped in for a bite last Saturday. Had the smoked ribs, they were fantastic. Chicken wings we had were good to but I hate the batter they put on them. however wife likes them. We were waited on by the bartender, Keagan, excellent service and a very friendly dude. He knew how to serve and asked all the right questions and knew when to clear the plates. Well done Keagan. 5 stars all across the board.
Great staff great food!
A nice, bright open space, friendly and helpful staff.
Wicked good good- terrible service (at least last time we were there)
Parking: Lots of parking. Kid-friendliness: Crayons and colouring pages for the kids as well as a kids menu. Wheelchair accessibility: Level entry.
Was very slow service, watched our drinks sit at the bar for a good 10min before they were brought to us, we were 1 of 2 tables in the restaurant.
Friendly staff. One of the few places that stays open until after 9:00pm! We really enjoyed the food; good portions and super tasty!
**update: havent gone back to eat yet but head chef followed up and ecplained protocol etc. I get mistakes happen and as upsetting as it was to get so sick after eating there, the service following up and personally apologizing will have me back to try again. May be awhile but as its so close to home and the atmosphere was great as well as service i will give them another go. Thank you to the head chef for personally reaching out.
Went again despite being disappointed in the past, ordered the poutine with pulled pork, only 3 tables in the restaurant and I got poutine with no pulled pork, the bartender didn t quite know how to make our drinks- mediocre at best.
The food was delicious and for the price so its easy to recommend, they also loads of options for my celiac friend. The waitress was very friendly and attentive that always makes a good place great. The atmosphere and style of the restaurant leaves a little to be desired but Id rather it stay unchanged than see the prices rise Dietary restrictions: Celiac friendly
Has always been a great place, now that they rebranded as a smokehouse its arguably better.
The food here was very tasty and well executed. They definitely know how to smoke meat. Server was super friendly and helpful. Other employees were also friendly and helpful throughout our visit. I will be back to try more menu items for sure.
It was more of a country restaurant instead of Smoke House. Parking: Ample parking Food : 3/5 |
Great food, poor service
Worst food I ve had in a while. I ordered a garden salad with chicken which was basically a box of spinach with 1/4 of an apple chopped and maybe 4 grapes with a side of cold, incredibly fatty grisly chicken, for like $20. It was inedible. My partner ordered a burger that came still quite pink in the Center and fries with no salt. At least he could eat his meal. Won t be going back any time soon. Complete waste of money. Had to put my dinner in the garbage.
Fast, friendly and efficient. Staff were attentive but not intrusive. Will definitely be back.
Food was great and the staff were very friendly and inviting.
Great little spot! Good food friendly people.
Brunch gets no better than here! Friendly little spot and you wont want to miss out.
Great brunch
So good!
Music was VERY loud, even after asking to turn down (difficult to have conversations); server seemed too distracted with her friends at the bar to provide any type of real customer service. Food was okay (unlike my other visits where the food was awesome) and was very slow to arrive even though the restaurant was almost empty!
From a wobbly table to miscommunication with the waitress, our visit was destined to not be more than a few stars... With only a handful of patrons at the time of our visit, I felt we could have had more than average service. The food was fine. I liked my chicken burger. The tater-tot poutine was good. My companions food was good. The meal was tasty, hot and good portion size. There was lots of free parking. The restaurant was clean and inviting. The prices were appropriate for the quality of the food. I wouldnt advise anyone to not have a meal here. But there are so many establishments that go the extra mile to make me want to return, and this just doesnt seem to be one of those.
Great food, love their new smokehouse recipes. Parking: They have a decent parking lot Kid-friendliness: Casual atmosphere good for kids Wheelchair accessibility: Flat entrance, no stairs
Went when a live band was playing. They were the highlight! Food was great and the kids liked it too.
A real neighbourhood pub. Stopped by here everyday after my course at camosun.
Menus changes prevent me from giving a better review. Staff are always awesome
