Best chicken sandwich Ive ever had

I went there for a 4pc korean chicken BBQ. All i got was 3 pieces. Make sure u check your order before leaving.

When you re paying around $3 for a piece of chicken you would expect a decent size chicken not some loonie sized batter mess with bone still inside. Some were big pieces of chicken but some were incredibly small and you would wonder why they even count this as a piece of chicken. Not only that, it was really greasy by the time it arrived at my front porch I had to drink almost 1 litre of water after eating 3 pieces of their chicken

Absolutely loved this place! I have had my fair share of Korean fried chicken, but this place is my new favorite. The spices were great and the chicken was not greasy. Just super crispy and full of flavor. Located just off the highway too :)

Visiting our if town and was craving for some Korean Fried Chicken and this happens to be near the are and oh man they really have Great chicken and such great service. The chicken almost resemble to Jollibee if you do get the the dry rubs. Fully cooked inside and out and super juicy and crispy

Only had the chicken but its been good every time

Ordered half original, half garlic soy. Chicken was crispy but bland, like they forgot to season it, it s got no salt. The garlic soy is ok as it is coated with the sauce but the original is just inedible. Phoned them and complained but they just said sorry, I phoned in again and they are willing to give me a sauce for it, lol. Im not asking for free stuff but i feel like i wasted $40. Not ordering again.

Unfortunately I really disliked this place. I heard it has an affiliation with Thunderbird Chicken but what I had tasted nothing like Thunderbird. The chicken was overcooked and the sauce was way too vinegary/too much gochujang or something. I absolutely love Korean fried chicken so the fact that I had to throw out my leftovers as inedible says a lot. Persimmon Tree nearby does a much better Korean fried chicken. Chimac, Chicken 649 and Victoria Pocha are also all with making the way downtown for. Sorry, I really want to see this small business succeed as the staff seem nice but I was definitely misled by the reviews here and hope the feedback helps improve things.

I am obsessed with Seoul Chicken!!! We have ordered it anytime we order take out since discovering it a short while ago. The crispy coating on the chicken is a perfect light crispy batter and the flavours of the sauces are unreal. The bbq is our favourite but we have also enjoyed the soy and love the honey mustard dipping sauce. Our young kids love the popcorn chicken and rice. We recommend this place to our coworkers and friends now. thanks! Kid-friendliness: The popcorn chicken and rice is a hit with our toddlers. They love it!

Wonderful experience here. Got the 36 piece chicken and it came in a pizza box that was over flowing with flavour and love. My friend got the chicken burger and it was well seasoned and crispy as well as the parmigiana garlic fried that are amazing. You also get 10% off if you bring a Costco receipt!

I tried this place for the first time because I heard the chicken was amazing. I was really impressed and the kimchi poutine was creative and delicious as well. Even my toddler liked the chicken. Will definitely be added to my go-tos for takeout in the area.

Craving for that extra crispy fried Korean style chicken? After going from Costco.. lol This is the nearest place in the area... The location is kinda tricky if you will use google map but the best way to be here is to park beside Mc D and walk towards the restaurant which is facing the main road..yes, the location is a bit of a challenge..but..all worth when you get there ... Super great flavors... And ask for RICE yes they do have!!!! Hahahahaha... And match the chicken with some Kimchi=perfection... Btw, they do take out too.. so if you want to eat at the comfort of your home... Do it! I tried and still crispy and yummy! Jf

When I visit Victoria I always make sure to stop at Seoul. Every time I ve been there I ve gotten something different and it never disappoints. Hopefully one day they expand further up island. They would succeed tremendously.

This is not Korean Food. I ordered K-town bowl. Was served fried greasy batter on rice. There was no CHICKEN just batter on a bed of thick cut carrots, Zucchini and rice. No flavour, just sweet sauce with some sesame seed topping. When I asked the server/ the chef came out and tried to explain that it s boneless chicken- But there was no chicken she repeatedly mentioned it s boneless Chicken, but I think she meant the chicken ran away, cause neither there was any bone nor any chicken (But Owners- Please don t ruin the name of Korean Food like this. Fellow food lovers- Save your money - go somewhere else. I was never refunded the money or any apology. Staff were sweet and tried to explain to the best to their abilities. But food was terrible. Never going back again!

Probably the best fried chicken sandwich in Victoria! This sandwich is absolutely MASSIVE, super crunchy and very flavorful. Ive tried both the spicy as well as the Korean BBQ and they are both excellent. Fries are always crispy and tasty, and make sure you get some of the pickled radish and coleslaw on the side! Their regular chicken is also delightful, but I just cant seem to get enough of their sandwiches.

This place took was previously a Thunderbird chicken which I really liked at the time. When they changed over there was a period of adjustment, and the food took a dip in quality. They recovered tho, and are one of the best around imo. If you are there and were disappointed at this time, Id recommend giving them another go. I prefer their spicey soy sauce chicken and am not a fan of the Dakgangjoeng with BBQ. I wish they did a straight up Dakgangjoeng with no BBQ sauce, but theyre just my preference (i dont like smokey BBQ sauce) The fries are the best in this area of town as well. My tip: order extra chicken chop it up and make yourself a killer fried rice the next day.

Extra delicious! Fast service (chicken ready in 5-10 minutes) and personable staff. Fun chicken-based artwork as well. They opened Feb 1, taking over Thunderbird, and have all the similar flavours but better ;) Update: a year later and I m still coming here for all my fried chicken needs - most recently twice in the past three days. They are probably one of the last dining establishments in Victoria to offer a 10% tip option, which just makes me want to tip them more.

We ordered the Sweet Soy Chicken and the Padak Chicken (Half & Half). It came in a pizza box and it smelled so good in the car. Once we got back to our place and as responsible adults, we made some vegetables in a hurry. We ate so well and I couldnt decide which flavour was my favourite because they were both so delicious. Very happy to have discovered this restaurant on our trip!

Got the K-BBQ chicken and the sweet soy sauce chicken. Amazing. So tender, the chicken is great quality, and the fry and sauce are just perfect. SO GOOD.

Make sure if your going to grab something to eat from here in the evening you get there before 800pm they close up shortly after at 0830pm. Since I dont get into the Victoria area very often, I made sure to get there before they closed and order the Seoul Chicken with the Dae-Bak seasoning and I had to have the Bacon cheese fries. Service was awesome! The food was great! The Bacon cheese fries were crispy and they didnt skimp on the bacon, yum. The chicken was seasoned well and nice and crispy, fantastic. So if you happen to be in Langford check this place out. Parking: The restaurant is part of a mini-mall, located around the corner from parking.

I love corean chicken, but its been like 3 times with no attention on the order. -Spoiled kimchi (lost my money, was to go, I realized at home) - They forget the bbq sauce - to greassy, the oil was coming out like water. Im sorry but I got disappointed

The fried chicken was so oily , I ordered 16 pieces each piece was very small amount of chicken too much crunchy and oily .. I will never eat from there again.. I ordered spicy sauce but ended up with only soy sauce!! The Pam fries was oily not tasty at all It was the worst experience to eat from Seoul restaurant.

One word...Finger licking good! Well thats 3 words I got the K BBQ chicken and It was Soo good, I wasnt expecting something so tasty. The Chicken pieces were a good size I got the 4 pieces combo and let me tell you that was enough to fill me up which bring me to the sides , got really good fries no greasy just right also they put a bit of pickled radish, never had it before and it was Soo good . I would totally recommend this place , dont let the small place fool you ...you Will have some of the best chicken there is.

My husband and I are absolutely addicted to this. Anniversary? Chicken. Birthday? Chicken. Friday? Chicken. The sauces are out of this world delicious and the chicken is perfectly cooked every time. Make sure to pick up some of their pickled radish as well! Its an excellent snack with the chicken!

The worst Korean chicken I ever had, very dry, tough, way to much batter, not much flavor

Super moist chicken with a nice crunch (although the original could use more seasoning in the batter). Sauce was tasty but could use a little more heat. Very friendly family operation. Unfortunately, our entire family ended up with stomach aches (and more) that night.

I have eaten a lot of different kinds of fried chicken in my life but the Spicy Soy is definitely some of the best ever! If you like it hot, then this is the perfect spot. Id have taken pics but the amazing aroma made me only think about one thing... Eating it!

Seoul Chicken is super delicious. I have never had chicken quite like this. This was the second time I had this chicken from there which compelled me to write a review. This was hands down THE best Korean Fried Chicken burger I ve ever had (and I ve sampled my fair share). The lady was super kind to let me substitute the toppings with their scrumptious apple slaw and keeping the delicious pickles for only a fraction extra charge (totally worth it!) Highly recommend!

Alright is not the same as thunderbird was . I got the chickwn tenders which was just a burger cut up and like shake n bake chicken , and i ordered the bacon cheese fries which just was fries with sour cream and a few sprinkles of cheese . Not worth $21

I ordered chicken a while ago and was so disappointed, so Im leaving this comment. Normally I never leave a review, but I think it will prosper more if I give feedback. I intentionally gave it a rating of 4. In fact, I wanted to give it one, but Im not intentionally leaving a negative comment, but since this is a store run by a Korean person, Im leaving this in the hope that it will do well for a long time. I really hope it goes well. First of all, the name is Seoul Chicken, but it doesnt taste like Korean chicken at all. I dont know if local people will like it, but the taste of the fried food and seasoned chicken sauce are too westernized, so if you order it expecting Korean chicken like me, you might be wondering what the taste is.... There is too much foreign flavor left in the sauce. I wonder if Korean red pepper paste contains red pepper powder... It was a really strange taste, with only the red color as the sauce base sold at local supermarkets. And because the chicken wasnt properly brineed before frying, the chicken smelled really bad. In fact, shouldnt customers come to a restaurant only if the food is delicious? What should I do if the chicken restaurant doesn t taste good? The taste of the most basic things - salted chicken, fried chicken batter, and seasoning sauce - was very disappointing. It was boring and I didnt ask for it, but the ground salt sprinkled on it was too salty. I dont think I will be returning in the future, and I think the owner really needs to improve the basics, especially the seasoned chicken sauce. Looking at the recipe online, it looks like it would turn out really well if you just mix the starch syrup, red pepper paste, soy sauce, ketchup, etc. in the right proportions... I ordered it with good expectations, but I couldnt eat it all.

This was, without question, the BEST chicken sandwich I have ever put in my face! Yes, it was messy, yes it was crunchy, yes it was tender yes I was sad when it was gone! Best part was that I was in the store 30 minutes early and they still took he time to ring me in and send me on my way as I was on my way to a meeting. Great place! I ll be back. $14 for a sandwich I thought was a bit hefty, but turned out to be worth it. Heck a single breast at the grocer is $8 these days!

Seoul Chicken is fresh, crunchy, and delicious! Every bite is a taste of heaven. The servers are always friendly and cheerful. They answer my questions without making me feel stupid. Update on June 3rd: Finally have visited there store, there are more option than the delivery app. But they have stopped accepting orders from Skip or DoorDash, instead having there own website. The decorations were fantastic, and the carrot problem I mentioned earlier was resolved. ======================== Update on March 5th: Changed to 2 stars because this problem. I ordered K-town rice on delivery app several times, the first time was amazing and the portion was great. However, I don t understand why they start putting too much carrots in the rice bowl. 30% of carrots, 50% of rice, 10% fried chicken, and 10% of other veggies. I won t pay 15.5 bucks (the price on the delivery app) for buying carrots. ================== I rated here 4 stars. The fried chicken were crispy and inside were juicy and tender, but the original one was lack of flavor, i couldn t finish that without adding extra salt.

The best Korean Fried Chicken I ve had. Got the classic Korean BBQ with regular fries to share with my brother, and we talked about how good it was the entire meal. Even the fries were phenomenal perfectly seasoned and crunchy. The chicken was the perfect mix of sweet, spicy, tangy, and salty, and the chicken was beyond tender and juicy. The staff were amazing and gave us the perfect number of napkins. WILL be back and telling everyone. Thank you!

Seoul Chicken has the absolute best fried chicken I have ever had the pleasure of trying in my entire life. While eating it, I can honestly say my caveman roots came out full force. I was feral. I smothered every piece in their k-bbq sauce and went to town, I knew I was making a mess but I couldn t bother caring, all I cared about was getting another delicious, crunchy bite of fried chicken in my mouth. The chicken alone is spectacular, extraordinary even, but with that yummy k-bbq sauce? It brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. The sauce is perfectly tangy, sweet, with the PERFECT, teeniest bit of spiciness to it (and I say that as someone who doesn t enjoy spicy things). I felt like the rat in Ratatouille when he ate that cheese with the strawberry. By the end of my primal feasting I had to get my mother to hose off my hands and face outside. I cannot recommend Seoul Chicken enough. The food here is beautiful in every way and anyone who says otherwise is a liar and a fraud.

Positively surprised by this place. Not only was it delicious but they serve you massive pieces of chicken! I was expecting little thighs and I was impressed by the size and how tasty and soft they were. Their crust and sauces are amazing and I highly recommend getting some durian or cocuruto ice cream for dessert.

Man, to say this was good is an understatement. This is great chicken. Never had fried chicken this crispy. The sauces were spot on and the coleslaw, yes coleslaw, was even excellent. Will be back for sure.

A little tricky to find (google maps sent me all over Langford) but really just in the same strip mall as McDonalds and the gas station at McCallum and Goldstream. The chicken? On point as always. Got the 1/2 original,1/2 megan. Fast, friendly counter service and salty fried goodness! Some of the best fried chicken around!

We really liked this chicken the first couple of times we ordered. The Gan-Jang was really good. I like that they have an online ordering option. Unfortunately the last couple of times werent that great. Esp the last time we ordered. They had a whole lot of pre cooked chicken sitting on trays which did not look appealing. I get that its probably normal to pre-cook some chicken but it was like trays and trays of it. The chicken meat in our meal seemed cold and the outside batter was warm. Our fries were very, very old. We couldnt even eat them. It was almost like they cooked and plated the fries when we ordered and then didnt add the chicken to the order until we came to pick up. The people there are always really friendly, just not happy with the food lately.

Im not one to leave reviews but I was SO impressed with this place... got the Yang-Nyeom and bacon cheese fries and oh my goodness... to die for! Highly recommend! This will become a regular take out spot for me and my family! Keep it up you guys!

Was great and messy. Had the sweet and spicy but thought it could have been spicier. Really enjoyed the crunchiness of the chicken. The fries are very good and want to try bacon and cheese on them next time. Definitely will come back to try out more on the menu.

Delicious food, friendly service, great chicken-themed interior. Also, the spice level is low enough that most people should be able to enjoy the meal. Going to recommend this place to friends!

Edit: I emailed them as they requested, twice now, in case they didnt get the first one and I have had zero response. I went to Thunderbird Chicken about 6 months ago and the chicken was amazing, super generous, super crunchy and the perfect coating of sauce so I decided to go back again today and I was super disappointed about the quality of the food this time. I had one of the meals that has chicken, fries, pickled radish and a drink. There was literally 10 french fries and the chicken was way overcooked and the 5 pieces consisted of 4 very very thin pieces of stringy overcooked pieces and Im not sure what they actually were and a thigh piece. There was no juice in the chicken, it was completely dry and stringy. There was very little sauce on the chicken as well. There was none of the stickiness or messiness that I had the first time. The fries were okay but 10 fries is not a serving. The service was really good and that is what the rating was for, not the food. I dont think Ill be back again...Ill make the trek into town and go to Chicken 649

Wowza, Thunderbird Chicken is incredible. The best fried chicken I have ever had. Have tried 3 kinds and YUM all great. They even called me today after I ordered online, and suggested I order differently to save money! Now THAT is customer service. Great staff, amazing chicken and always on time. New fav place.

i ordered a original medium, the service, was great, but food quality is really disappointing, it is hot but the chicken looks overcooked or the oil that is being used here is very old?? i forgot to take a picture of it but i know what its look when its properly cooked, i worked in food industry for many years.so please change your oil regularly. and please dont use old raw chicken and mixed it with new ones when breading the chickens its obvious. price of $2 more than chicken 649. i expected better, but it went the other way. thats gonna be my first and last visit this year. Im hoping next year this will change.

LTD: 2nd or 3rd place chicken in town Edit: Decreased from 5 to 4 stars, original 5 star review below. The lastest were dryer and not as juicy, still good but not mouthwatering need to have good. Also the quality of chicken seemed worse. I was in Langford location, with the drop in quality/taste I would now say drive to 649 worth it. Their was also a increase in price. I normally always plan to have some fried chicken when in town as a treat, but I wont be planning to have some next time. Wonderful fried chicken and good sauces. I prefer 649, but only by a hair when they are side by side we did a test and found the 4/6 people were on 649 but all agreed to that the difference was probably due to preference and both are excellent.

Langfords hidden (and I mean hidden) gem. Food is always fantastic, service is great, and the price is right. Seek it out.

They need to work on their customer service. Ive never been there before and went in to order something and they were so unfriendly when I went through the door. I understand that you were not quite open yet, but it never hurts to be friendly. Maybe next time let people know when youre going to be open or maybe offer a takeout menu or something. First time customer most likely wont try it again.

I find not as delicious, dry not as moist if I compared with the downtown 649.kfc. Perhaps Im too picky in my choices, again this is just my opinion. Waiting time for for pick up wasnt too bad & counter staff was friendly.

WOW!! Amazing flavor, chicken has the perfect balance of crisp outside and juicy inside. The sauce is 10/10, just the right amount of sweet and spicy, sticky and flavorful. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for some good Korean fried chicken!
