Delicious food and great portions. The Fish Pakora and Goat Curry were both fantastic.

The food is really good. I order medium spice at every other restaurant, but here I order mild and its definitely spicey enough for me. So beware, and I suggest ordering a level below the spice level you normally do. If you like mild, I dont know what to tell you, you probably wont like it.

Best Indian Delivery Ive had. The Tandoori Combo with the different meats was amazing. Paneer Butter Masala....omg. so flavourful and so much paneer! The rice and naan were perfect. Cant wait to get it again.

Honestly I cant really comment on the food because it was WAY too spicy for my wife and I to even be able to eat. So we ordered the butter Masala as was recommend and I asked how spicy is Medium, and the gentleman said not too spicy. For the record, every time I get Indian food (and I get it A LOT) I ALWAYS order medium for the last 10 years whether I was in Van, Vic, TO, MTl, ...its never a problem at all (I am generally good with spice) but I ALWAYS ask just in case. I dont know if there was a mistake with my order but the curry was so spicy we couldnt eat it...a few bites and we both looked at each other and were running for the milk! Like it was CRAZY spicy for medium and we couldnt eat the curry at all... so I dont really know what happened (I assume it was just a mistake with our order). I get that there is a difference between Indian spice levels and Western spice levels, but if its medium at Indian spice levels, they should probably mention this and not say its not too spicy. The service was really good and the people who worked there were very nice.

Spice valley has been my favourite spot for Indian food since they opened. I ordered at least 1-2 a month for a few years and raved about them to everyone. The quality has been lost as the curries are always a different colour and consistency. In the last year I ve ordered about 6 times and every single time the spice level has been way too much for both the medium and mild order. If you want medium spice level order mild, and if you want mild spice lever, order somewhere else. Disappointed to have lost my favourite spot.

The best Indian food served in Victoria. Taste of the food is amazing and the service provided by the staff is too good. Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian options in starters there is paneer tikka as well as shahi paneer and malai kofta in main course.

The owner and all the staff were amazing, great customer service, had our order ready on time and even prepared it for before their opening hours to accomdate our lunch. Very friendly staff with excellent and speedy service. Pakoras are a must-try! All our food was delicious, and with 4 adults in our group we were pleasantly surprised with the affordability! We will definitely eat here again. Cant keep their words i have been ordering from here for over two years and recently I made an order in person at their restaurant and asked them if they can add more toppings on one item, and the guy who took my order assured me that its not a problem, so I took the food home and opened it up and surprisingly the quantity of the toppings was even less than usually, like purposely less!! This was the first and last time I asked them for anything! Dont provide fake assurances to customers, tell them you can do something and then purposely dont deliver! It lacks integrity! Good bye

You cant really rate atmosphere as its a take out only. Very friendly staff When you walk in the aroma of spices awakens the taste buds. I always say this is a sign of great food and I was right about this place. Everything has great flavour and if you order something with heat its perfect. Dont forget to order the naan bread, its some of the best we have had. Prices are fair and the amount of food per serving is generous.

Spice valley is our go-to Indian place, especially for vegan options! It is perfect for sharing as they have something for everyone. The staff are wonderful, food is amazing and affordable, and is a local business I am so happy I found. Try it and you won t go back to your old fav! Promise!

Vegetarian options: Food was great except for the fact that you cant dine in. Which only works if your one person. But who goes out to an Indian restaurant by themselves! You go with a group of people and share dishes thats the whole point of going to an Indian restaurant. But the food is so good so I tried their takeout. The bag fell over in my car on the way home and spilled all over inside the bag. The rice was cold and not enough given but cant ask for more. It was messy trying to dole out food to five people. And you cant get more. I def. wont go again!

There are over a dozen other Indian restaurants between my home and Spice Valley Esquimalt, but I will make the trip here instead every time! The food is SO flavourful and wonderful, and the best naan Ive had!! (I do miss the samosas though!)

I have tried enough dishes to assume that whatever you get here will be delicious. Bonus: You can sub the naan bread for the whole wheat Roti for no charge. Spice Levels: I found their spice levels a little higher in general, so if you like spicy maybe go for medium hot.

Being an avid restaurant experimenter and an Indian, I can hands down say, this is one of the best Indian food I have eaten. We ordered, butter chicken (medium hot), chilli chicken (medium hot) and lamb Roganjosh. The spices were amazingly balanced and there is no overpowering of taste. I love that the chilli chicken was not sweetened for a western customer base and reminded me of the ones we make/get back in India. The lamb was absolutely delicious and the pieces were boneless and soft and very flavorful. The butter chicken was great but didnt wow me as much as the lamb did. The garlic naan was soft and remained flavorful inspite of the fact that we took takeout and had the food some hours later. Some points to note, the restaurant is only doing takeout currently and there is parking in front of the store. It was written parking is available at the back, but we couldnt find any. If you are looking for authentic Indian food in the area, dont forget to try out this place. You wont be disappointed.

I am from India and an ardent foodie. 40th Day since I had landed in Canada. I was craving some good North Indian food. I was apprehensive to try something Indian in Canada, thinking I might get disappointed. Thats when my friend recommended Spice Valley. I ordered Dal Makhani, Malai Tikka and Garlic Naan and trust me it was one of the best Dal Makhanis I have ever tried. The Malai Tikka was so succulent and Juicy. Would definitely Recommend!

I have been a regular customer at this restaurant and Ive always enjoyed their delicious food and excellent customer service. However, my recent experience left me disappointed. I ordered the beef mango curry but received plain beef curry without any mango. When I returned to the restaurant for a replacement, the cashier claimed it had mango without even checking or tasting the food. I am disappointed with the lack of effort made to amend the mistake. The cashier simply insisted that the dish contained mango, despite my assurance that it did not. I felt that my feedback was not valued, and I was left without the dish I had paid for.

I have been to alot of indian restaurants nearby but None can match the Taste of Spice Valley Restaurant . Must visit restaurant to enjoy the Authentic Indian Taste. Will definitely recommend it to everyone.

This is unquestionably the best Indian food in Esquimalt. It even rivals some of the offerings in downtown Victoria for best in the entire region! Why? Two words: Fish pakoras. Seriously, I could eat Spice Valleys fish pakoras by the bucket and never get bored of them. No matter which dish you pair them with -- and there are many great choices, from the tandoori chicken to the lamb rogan josh to the always-popular butter chicken -- the fish pakoras are Spice Valleys secret weapon that consistently pushes any order over the top.

I found the food to be very flavourful with lots of variety. The mango lassi was also very good. It was very simular to other Indian food places in Victoria.

Food Coma after eating from Spice Valley is real. We recently ordered from Spice Valley for a team lunch. The Tandoori Chicken was succulent, charred to perfection, and the Dahi Papdi provided a refreshing contrast. However, the true star was the Biryani. Best authentic Indian food in Victoria. Very tasty food prepared beautifully. We had butter chicken, aloo Gobi and lamb shish kebabs. All are recommended, but the kebabs are special. One word to the wise: their medium is quite hot! I usually enjoy spice but this was hot for my taste. I would go back and try milder. They are take out only (Nov 2023)

Palak Paneer, Shahi Paneer, Paneer Butter Masala, Chili Paneer, Garlic Naan, Paneer Tikka Masala, etc etc whatever I try, I dont regret. It happened with me that I started with Chaat and then was so done that could not finish it up, still couldnt disrespect the dish due to its taste and hardwork being done by the chef. Each and every dish is different and what makes it more different is its aroma, level, quality and quantity of spices. I do have just one word for their service: Exceptional. I believe they have magic in their hands, how can a dish be so perfect every week with just the right amount of spices. Hats off for serving great Indian food in Victoria. Ordered for dinner tonight to go. My wife heard that this restaurant is good. Being Indian Im always a hard critic. I was definitely surprised with the taste and spice level was great. We ordered lamb rogan josh and butter chicken with naan. I eat Indian food all the time but this place really left a lasting impression next time I will try some of my favorites from growing up. The lamb curry, whole wheat parantha with onion and cauliflower omitting the seasoning , and homemade rice pudding were scrumptious! We also got a paneer naan and mango lassie. Total: $37

Spice Valley did a catered meal for my team and EVERYONE LOVED IT, it was super tasty. The team was so patient with us too, 100% would recommend!

Food and service are amazing. This is my kids go to place whenever we order out. Also our go to place when we have guests over. Would definitely recommend this place.

Vegetarian options: We loved the Paneer Kadhai curry. The portion is good and the taste is awesome! Just that they are open only for takeaways.

Im in love for this restaurant. The food tastes amazing. My favorite dish is the palak paneer, butter chicken, kebabs, coconut curry, rice pudding . They have amazing options of curry and bread. If you are vegan also please go there. They have unlimited options Vegetarian options: They have several options that are already vegan and others that can be become vegan if you order without butter or yogurt!

Small takeaway. Placing online order was a little tedious. We ordered a Medium hot Beef Biryani which was extremely spicy (even for a Desi like me who orders everything extra hot). It was also quite wet but had a lot of small beef cubes. We added white basmati rice at home to temper it. Good quantity. We also ordered a butter chicken with 2 butter Naans. Both of these items were excellent and flavourful. Plenty of food for a bill just under $40. I would take away from here again. Order ahead and give them 30 minutes before you pick up.

Its ok, if you are used to real Indian food you will probably not order it again. But, if you didnt grow up eating authentic Indian food you will probably really enjoy it.

Hands down the best Indian in Victoria

My first time here, recommended by a guy that works at a store nearby. Absolutely coming back, I am so happy with the food and the service was super super helpful with my dairy allergy, the guy offered a number of items that can be made without dairy. I completely devoured without a breath hahaha honeslty very delicious lamb might get the mild spice next time but still very delicious also I very much enjoyed the coconut nan bread , perfectly balanced sweet with coconut ! The salad I got was alright, maybe they could work on another salad recipe, maybe something a little more sauce , I got an onion cucumber salad with some sort of light spice on , still good ! Overall Im happy and definitely coming back ! Thankyou everyone that works there ! Ps I dont usually post but I am just so pleased with the service and food so I just had to write a review !

Hands down to the best Indian food restaurant in Victoria,BC. They have delicious and savoury foods in a budget price with a huge quantity . You can find the perfect combination of South and north Indian food here. Perfect place for a foodie as you can get it spicier or normal. Especially their beef coconut curry, butter naan, butter chicken, starters and biriyani is lit.

I had the coconut curry beef and chicken biryani from spice valley which turned out to be the best Indian cuisine. All dishes are delicious and at a fair rate. Loved the food.
