All the service staff we encountered were fast, friendly and efficient. Our server was great. The kids were very happy with the menu options and their selections. The bread coming first after we skipped lunch, and the pre-dinner salads were big winners. For the price the food quality and portions were good value. My partner has been eating there since she was a kid and has her favorite dish - the spaghetti with browned butter and mizithra cheese. It didnt look like much but was suprisingly good. One party there took the 'family friendly' element too far with a child that was high pitched screaming the entire meal. But it's not the restaurant's fault they are popular. There were lots of people waiting when we left, but we were seated immediately when we arrived about 5pm on a Tuesday. The other three in our party were eating there for the first time and would definitely come back if we are in Victoria again. A winner with the family.
I hadn’t been to the Spaghetti Factory in years mostly because there isn’t one in my area. Had the spaghetti with meat sauce and it was delicious! Cooked just right and really flavourful sauce. The young lady server could not have been friendlier and in a very genuine way that is all too rare at most restaurants. Had no idea that for my $18 my meal would come with salad , a loaf of fresh bread and ice cream for dessert. I’ll definitely be back next time in in town !
I am always impressed with the browned butter and mizithra cheese spaghetti. 😋 We also tried the BBQ ribs for a change of pace and they were very good. Enjoyed happy hour pricing even on a Sunday. By the time we left the place was packed, so that says something!
Once in a while you meet someone who truly, deeply, understands their job and wishes to excel in it. That is what happened to me as I met Aggy as the server at The Old Spaghetti Factory. We were a party of 5 (4 adults and 1 toddler), and had a tight constraint of 40 mins to finish the lunch, so that we could make the Parliament tour. I expressed this to Aggy at the outset. She understood the task, got our food to us extremely quickly, brought takeout boxes proactively, let us pay upfront so we could dash out quickly, and even offered to take a family picture - all within 10 minutes. This enabled us to finish lunch quickly and make our tour. Also, they gave my toddler crayons and a coloring sheet, which kept him occupied for a while. The food was good too, but this was easily the best service I have ever received at a restaurant. 10/10 would recommend.
The OSF was a great place for a good dinner. With over 15 people waiting for a table we only waited 10 min. The atmosphere is busy but not overly noisy. We didn't feel like we were being rushed through. I started with the cranberry goat cheese spinach salad and minestrone soup. Followed by the Seafood linguine marinara. All of it excellent and very flavorful. My wife had the clam chowder followed by the Chicken Parmesan with broccoli. They were served with bread and butter. Spumoni was the dessert included and was also very good. Good portions but not too large. All in all a very good dinner.
Highly recommended. This restaurant has great service, a great view and great food. Food: we had two salads. The goat cheese and a garden salad. Both were very good and loved the dressings. My wife and I shared the Mushroom Alfredo Spaghetti with Whole button mushrooms sautéed in garlic and white wine and blended into our creamy parmesan Alfredo sauce. We added some shrimp. Service: great service and our waitress made was very attentive. Outstanding Atmosphere: We sat outside and the flowers and the view was outstanding. The weather was wonderful. We highly recommend!! This location is excellent. We ate here twice because we loved the service, food, and the location. I have eaten at this franchise before, but this location was exceptional. Arrive earlier in the day if you go because a line forms in the early evening.
If you are looking for a family-friendly pasta joint at a reasonable cost, this place doesn't disappoint. It's exactly what you expect: a slightly kitschy but welcoming atmosphere, a wide variety of pasta, a friendly staff, a casual feel, and inclusive meals (with a scoop of ice cream). For what it is, it’s great.
Reasonable price (8 oz house wine $7.95), good selection of meals and our server made it fun.
We went on a weekend just before the big crowds showed up. This is the cleanest OSF I have been to! Our waiter was super nice and friendly and the food was good.

It wasnt really busy there but the servers were on top. Food was great! Ive never been here. Pasta galore. Lasagna was satisfying. The seafood pasta was full of the sea. Fresh warm bread and butter. Came in today with my girls. My one wanted to go somewhere she can eat vegan. She has a milk allergy. They have not too much she can choose from the menu. It was nice she could eat with no worries on what she did eat.
We went in for dinner and food was really not what we expected and the soup was very salty. When we told the server she said ok.

We visited the Old spaghetti factory for lunch. It was a pleasant experience that was much different than in the U.S. We were not rushed and we were encouraged to take our time. Their menu is all included. This includes amazing sourdough bread with garlic butter, a starter of soup or salad, an entree, and ice cream. It also included a soft drink or tea. We chose to get Italian cream soda. Everything was amazing. Fresh ingredients, delicious drinks and amazing service. I would highly recommend visiting the old spaghetti factory.
We stumbled onto this OSF while exploring Victoria, and Im very glad we did. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the best pesto pasta Ive had in my life. The whole experience was great - I wish we lived closer.
We had a terrific experience on our visit to Victoria. Our server, Damon, was excellent and was incredibly efficient at managing our section while still providing a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The value was great for the price as well, and I would highly recommend the spaghetti potpourri to sample a variety of the flavours/sauces. Overall an excellent experience and would gladly come back on repeat visits to the city. Kid-friendliness: Came with a two month old and there was ample space to walk around with her to settle when things got a little fussy.
Brilliant service food and atmosphere.
We ate very well (spaghetti with cheese and spaghetti with meatballs) the bread with the garlic butter was also very good. The servers were very friendly and really efficient despite the crowds. Small downside it was very very noisy.
Although we love old spaghetti factory, and this was the best of the dozen or so we have been to, that sadly is no longer the case. We always get mizithra with clam sauce and this had the most amazing clam sauce!! They now no longer have the clam sauce... my wife got mizithra and marinara with a skewer of shrimp. I had meat sauce and mizithra. Shrimp was overcooked, mizithra was overpowered by the sauces. Unfortunately we wont be back to this one.

The food was delicious but the place was full and despite having tables available they were not assigned so it took us 30 minutes to sit down, the atmosphere was too hot and without ventilation.
We came for a birthday dinner and had an absolutely lovely time. Our server Maria was so kind and made us all feel right at home. She gave the perfect amount of time for us to look over the menu and was very attentive even though we dined close to closing. She also brought out a cake and candle for our birthday guest!

The house wine was delicious. The food was overall delicious, but the steak sandwich was overly salty. But it was a very satisfying meal for the price.

very poor service tonight. went there for our anniversary/birthday dinner, our server only took our order, then he disappeared to everyone else s tables and ignored us (walked by more than 5 times and not even a glance), another server brought us our food, 10-15mins passed and nobody checked up on us (drink refills, ask how are food was, etc). Not even water. Had to stop another server to ask for our bill after waiting for someone to come back Food was very small portioned compared to normal, oily too. They also sat us, a two person table, between a section which was full already by a HUGE party of people split up upon multiple tables . They were more focussed on excellent service to a larger party than acknowledging other smaller tables Worst service by far. Really unhappy as this WAS one of our favourite spots to grab food.
Have left a 5 star in the past. Terrible experience last night. Took over 2 hours to get a table after they told us it would be one. Got a text at the one hour point, made our way to the restaurant and didn t get sat until well over an hour later. We were brought to 4 different tables that were all wrong (too small). And brought back to the host stand between each attempt to sit us. We were offered free appetizers. But they picked them for us and chose the worst, cheapest ones (3 of them for 8 of us) the meal and service were barely OK, I guess. We only got one refill of our drinks and as soon as we were finished eating the server rushed us to pay and never came back again, when we would have sat and ordered more drinks, given that by that time the restaurant was completely emptied out by then, we knew we weren t taking up a table they needed. I think it was a manager who was running the host desk, but they did a terrible job, and not once were we approached by management to apologize or rectify the situation. If I were you, that experience would have warranted me not paying the bill at all. Won t be rushing back. No longer recommending.

We came here for a group meal on Saturday. There were many people and the queues were outside. It was inevitable that the service was not good. But after we had our meal, we felt that the food was great and the service staff were also very good. No wonder so many people lined up and waited.

My friends and I came to this Old Spaghetti Factory location on the evening of Oct 12th, which mind you is Thanksgiving weekend and the night before the Royal Victoria marathon so arguably the busiest night of the year. Although it was utter chaos, our server Liam was extremely kind, attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and if there were any specific requests or changes he was able to adapt with no stress and was smiling the whole time. This amount of service and kindness in a crazy atmosphere is very impressive and I definitely applaud people in this industry who maintains this high standard. I would highly recommend Liam and the Old Spaghetti factory for their service :)

Great experience at The Old Spaghetti Factory :). We had a table of 10 on the weekend with no reservation and they were able to seat us all in a matter of 20 minutes. The service was friendly and efficient, and everything I ordered was delicious! I had their Caesar for a drink, green salad with their house Italian dressing, managers special spaghetti (half mizithra cheese, half marinara), and Spumoni ice cream. Thank you!!

As a European I gotta say this was the worst pasta I have ever had in my entire life. Nothing in this entire dish was fresh or tasty. I am pretty sure it was microwaved. I really can t recommend this place to anyone who knows anything about good food.
Been here before I know they like to turn customers as it is busy. Food always good as well as service. This time felt very rushed we were still eating our salads when main course arrived. Server did say sorry but kind of felt like a fast food restaurant. Previously always vg.

My first time here!!! We made a reservation for my sons birthday! The food was fabulous!!! The bread and garlic butter......could not get enough of!! Was too full for the ice cream at the end of our meal. Our server, Avery was quick and super nice!! It was very busy so I was nicely surprised at how quick our food came out. We will definitely be back

This restaurant has offered a very consistent affordable, good-tasting, family friendly menu for many years, something for every taste. Theyve got a great outdoor patio for dining, or drinks, great people watching. Happy hour was a very pleasant surprise, close to all the downtown tourist attractions. A good place to go before catching an IMAX movie at the Royal BC Museum, recommended.

Extra star for whoever severed us yesterday afternoon (we sat outside with our puppy). The server was super nice, asked us about food, brought water for our dog etc, very considering. Food was great too. We enjoyed it there!
After ordering food, we were just sitting there waiting for it for more than 45 mins, on top of that our waitress forgot to give us the salad/soup. Apparently we had to remind them for that. Moreover, the service was delayed a lot. Poor management. Everytime you visit this location, their service just keeps on getting worsened.

absolutely amazing place! my family and I came here for the first time and we loved it. the food wasnt anything special, but it was good, well prepared, warm, and was brought out quickly. we were served by Damon, and he is hands down the best server Ive ever seen. he is quick, attentive, and professional. he made our experience more fun, and made a great effort to connect with each table and make a small conversation what surprised me the most was that he didnt write a single thing down! he remembered everything! and he got me a free lemonade haha get this man a raise thank you OSF and Damon for an amazing first experience!

The good news about my afternoon visit (4:10PM) Friday, August 16th at our Old Spaghetti Factory is that my dinner : Roasted Garlic Grilled (to perfection) Chicken, and fresh Caesar Salad was delicious. In know: old news. Better news: the people are eating with gusto, and at 6:20PM, while making my way out, many were waiting for the evening service. What made a lasting impression, for me, was the floor show. Perfectly choreographed team, of 12-15 young, energetic, stylish waitstaff, caring full trays of goodies, and gliding, with graceful speed, from one table to the next. The floor manager, omnipresent, fast and reliable, was fully supporting his team of highly trained young professionals. Awe-inspiring, and Im spreading the news!!! P.S. I meant to take my hat off to them, but a young woman loved (my straw hat) it, paid me a wonderful compliment, so, I kept it on. And now, hat off to all of you, and thank you.

Very nice atmosphere. For around 20 dollars you can get a pasta dish of your choice, including soup/green salad and ice cream with coffee as dessert. Portions are generous and tasty. The service is very nice. Recommended!
After our whale watching tour on Wednesday my wife and I stopped in for supper . She had the chicken parmigiana while I had the lasagna . Like everything on the menu the meals came with soup/salad , bread , coffee/tea and a scoop of pistachio ice cream . Both meals were hot , tasty and filling . The server was friendly and attentive, and the service was fast even though it was quite busy . Good value for money spent here .

Ribs and Spaghetti
Magnificent. Excellent food served with a smile at a fair price. But (for obvious reasons) it gets busy so bear that in mind if you want a quiet night. We loved it though.

On June 27, 24 we had an early dinner. We ordered the steamed mussel appetizer and devoured them because they were so delicious. We ordered the seafood fettuccine Alfredo and it was was so good. Best I think weve ever had. Salad and dressings were good too. Our waiter was Jacob and he was so attentive and had a great personality. Definitely an employ you want to keep.

Just stopped in for an appetizer and drink so this review is not about food really. Clean restaurant and pleasant atmosphere. Our server was fantastic, very friendly and helpful and it didnt feel like the usual standard of happy but just want to get you through for the next patrons. The other staff we came in contact with were also very nice. Parking may be tough unless you are walking from your downtown hotel or from an inner harbour ferry or Ogden Point cruise ship. Easy access by local transit.

This used to be one of my favourite places to eat in Victoria but this visit disappointed me.
I enjoy going to the Old Spaghetti Factory. The food is good and the service great. They had a Happy Hour menu from 2-5 when I visited with a lot of good options. They also have a good lunch menu from noon to 2:00 pm

Amazing place, i ate here with my family, They have phenomenal spaghetti and amazing Lasagna, my favourite thing they had was the ice cream at the end that had so much taste and was very cold.They had exceptional service with very polite waiters and waitresses, all of them nice and don t disappoint. Only reason the atmosphere isn t a 5 is because of it being very busy. But it still is an amazing place and would eat here again.

We sat outside which was very enjoyable and beautiful. The wait for food was very long. The French onion soup was super salty and the spinach salad was nothing special. I would have been very uncomfortable inside as it was super warm/humid/dark. Overall an okay experience. Would go back for the ambiance of outdoor eating and a beer.

Spegetti and meat ball came and it was quite dry. Not alot of sauce so I asked for a little more sauce and they charge for it. I caught it after I payed and tipped asked our waitress and she said we didnt mean to charge you. I think you just got caught. So if you want bland spegetti with little sauce, this is the place for you. Wont go back.i dont like being nickel and dimed You lost 2 coustomers over being cheap Mr manager. But more importantly you got your 20% tip

This is a great restaurant that is fast-paced and energetic. The servers were attentive, the food was excellent, the atmosphere was light, and theres indoor/outdoor seating available (weather permitting). Parking is tricky here, as theres no parking lot assigned to the restaurant property, so pay parking and a walk are required.

UPDATE: manager reached out and made to situation right, and offered sincere apologies. Along with gift cards to try again. Also made a point to say they would have a meeting about it. Original Post: Tried to eat here, was quoted 20-25 mins to get seated, after 50 mins of waiting we still had 7 groups in front of us. Host was not very nice or helpful at all. Kept making excuses, never apologized. Never had worse service, Old spegetti Factory has gone down hill!
It was really sad everyone raves about it and all my grandchild Wanted was spaghetti and sause. We entered the front door and told waitress it was for 2, she led out side through the front doors at a table with no umbrella and table that was crop up with beer holder things. There was only 2 other couple being served. In that time they came out 4 times. No offer of a menu water or even a simple drink.. one waitress looked at me. Im like come on a simple menu water or even a drink but nothing. We were sat and finally told my grandchild if nothing happens we will just get snack. But I know one worker looked at me and never acknowledge me or nothing. Im a visitor from Merritt and sure hurt my feeling I had to raise my voice like that especially in front of my grandchild
We ate at the Spaghetti Factory before the Victoria Ironman 70.3! The food was just what we needed to carbo load before the event. The restaurant was packed full! This caused service to be a little slow but the servers were still attentive and friendly. I had the fettuccine Alfredo and would highly recommend to anyone! The homemade Lasagna was also a hit with our friends.
I was so surprised to see an OSF in downtown Victoria. Just had to stop by. I had the garlic grill chicken, very, very good. My wife really liked the spinach salad.

Very good service, menu, food and pricing. Most meals include a warm bread, salad or soup and spumoni ice cream. I can recommend the lasagna. Also a childs menu makes this an affordable family dining experience. Our service was excellent and we were a party of 9 on a night where the lineup was big. I recommend having a reservation.

This is a classic, nostalgia triggering spot for me- and this location didnt disappoint. Warm and welcoming staff. Got the chicken parm. My food came out quick, and chicken was MOIST. Spumoni ice cream at the end to send me off with a smile . YUM!
I rate The Old Spaghetti Factory 4 stars for its excellent value for money. Every pasta dish comes with a starter (choice of salad or soup) and a dessert, which makes for a satisfying meal deal. However, the food quality is average; our pasta wasn t served hot. Despite this, the restaurant offers a pleasant dining experience, especially if you re hungry or with a group of friends. It s a good spot to consider when looking for a casual meal that won t break the bank.

Food was 50/50. Location was a little busy, but the service was terrible (items were forgotten, refills only happened for 2 out of 5 of us). Was there for over 90m total after sitting down (we are not slow eaters and ordered as fast as possible). Disappointed.
The food and service were excellent however it was very loud in there this time. If you are able to get a booth please do!
