Build-your-own tacos & burritos with vegan options & locally sourced meats in a vibrant space.
There was a bug in my food and all they said was “could you please pass me your water?” As I returned my tray. Bug or not, the tacos weren’t very good. Go to Tacofino or something instead.
Sadly prices have gotten much too high to warrant a 5 star review any longer. $4-$4.50 per taco is too steep. Was great when you got 5 for $10. Regrettably rarely go here any longer for this reason.
The moment you walk into La burrito, you see a group of people, whom before you speak to them to make your Order, the auras are so positive. Another thing I love about the place is even the owner himself (Scott), goes on til to take Orders and help Customer. I haven’t been there in a while (until June 2024). I was blown away on how EVERYONE, Owner and Managers included ALL WORK. They do the same duties as their employees. Amazing equality overall. I loved the Cultural Diversity, myself as a mixed race black man, walking into a place where everyone is valued and appreciated is amazing. I always thank them for their hard work because they’re TRULY putting in WORK. I usually Order the biggest burrito they have (it comes with two meats). I ALWAYS choose the Chicken and Beef (chopped into cubes). The ingredients are so flavourful from the prep table to the Customer. I have huge hands and holding the full burrito feels like a lot of value and quality. The wrapper is fantastic, there’s minimal to no dripping as you eat the burrito. They recommend you unwrap the burrito as you’re eating it (similar to a popsicle). This burrito normally takes me a considerable amount of time to eat. From the first bite to the last, this HUGE Burrito NEVER loses its flavour and the tortilla is thick and of such high quality (it doesn’t tear or rip easily). Today, there was a miscommunication about my Burrito. It was cut without my knowledge. The Burrito was cut in half, but this has only happened one in the nearly 10 times or more I’ve been there since June 2024. I called the store and Fiona (the Manager) actively listened to my feedback and made me feel like a valued customer. In the end, it all worked out and I’m about to eat my heavy and long in🌯. I left the store smiling and so excited to eat my heavy and full sized Burrito🥳💯🥹 Try their EL GORDO Burrito, it will definitely leave you satisfied with every bite. If you love Burritos, drop by, you’ll get a quality meal for a fair price). You will also leave feeling like you matter and that you spent your hard earned money, in the right place. The photos speak for themselves and will inspire you to try a Burrito from La Taquisa. Located in the plaza at Wilson Street (Unit 120 - 176 Wilson Street).
Tried their El Gordo with their Fish Al Pastor filling and Pico de Gallo. Taste is okay, the fish is prepped a bit on the salty side; I think if I were to order again, I'll try Beef Al Pastor filling instead. Service is a bit on the slow side to get my order; normally I would've walked out for the lack of acknowledgement but stuck around. Thanked them for the food and not a single word or even eye contact which was disappointing despite tipping. Jury's out whether I'll be a return customer after this experience.
This place is so good! The bar table usually needs a clean and the dishes are often chipped around the edges, but I come here for their mouthwatering food. Service is always good and the food is prepared quickly. The workers always seem to be working. No standing around. When I’m hungry, I get a burrito. If I’m in a snack mood, I’ll get a medium tortilla soup and a couple tacos. My go to selection here is the baja shrimp burrito with red medium salsa and guacamole. Love this place!
The tacos were delicious but they have been inconsistent with the filling portions every time… One day they are stuffed lovely, the next visit is absolutely embarrassing what the filming portions…. but what concerns me is how filthy the establishment has become over the years. Sorry but it is true If the common eating area looks like this, I truly hope the kitchen isn't the same. The restaurant desperately needs a deep clean, it even has a sour smell inside, hence why I got my tacos to go.
If you enjoy Mexican food and or burritos, it’s muy bueno! A little pricey for sure however. 2 Burritos, Soup and 2 tacos + tip was 60$
The restaurant was average, neither exceptional nor terrible. However, there were a few disappointing aspects. Firstly, the tacos were disappointingly dry and lacked essential toppings such as cheese, lettuce, or any type of sauce. This greatly affected the overall flavor and enjoyment of the dish. Additionally, the guacamole, which usually has a pleasant taste for me, was surprisingly unpleasant. It seemed either not fresh or made from avocado paste, which affected its quality. Similarly, the salsa sauce didn't resemble traditional salsa at all. It lacked the authentic flavors and texture I was expecting. Overall, I can only recommend this place if you're extremely hungry and have no other options available.
I really like this restaurant. All their locations are delicious and never disappoint!
Gorgeous place, professional staff, polite and friendly! ... Good food! Highly recommend. Food : 5/5
Great Mexican restaurant in Victoria
GOAT for Mexican food in Victoria, consistently excellent. Points for no rice in the burritos - other places that use it as filler disappoint me. The entire menu slaps, but the the pork chorizo and chicken tinga are in a league of their own. Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian options, try the rajas or the veggie chorizo! They make a fantastic adobo sauce. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free marked on the menu where needed but most of the food is naturally GF. Tacos are served in soft corn tortillas, and you can order a burrito plate to ditch the flour tortilla! Great portion for the price. Veggie and vegan available and clearly marked on the menu. Parking: Upper parking lot is tight and often busy, but theres always space in the garage under the grocery store. Kid-friendliness: Friendly staff and great choices for kids - tacos, quesadillas, gringas, sopes, chips and salsa/guac... all good! Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is at ground level and entirely flat.
i used to live down the road from here. i didnt realize how much i would miss this place until i moved away. i went to a different taco place recently and i was just upset that it didnt taste like this place. has created a shrimp taco craving like no other
Absolutely amazing food, super friendly owner.
We had catering for 80. Food was fantastic And and plenty of it. Scott was wonderful. A bunch of our guests asked us who had done the catering. And the fact that it was all gluten-free was absolutely fantastic. Very positive experience! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free
Tacos are amazing!!!! SUPER friendly staff, fast service, and delicious food. I had tacos, and my partner had the burrito. It was so BIG he almost couldnt finish it.
Its a small space with counter seating...on nice days they have had dining space outside, but not much.
We used La Taquisa to provide food for a summer social activity at work this past week. Their taco bar was perfect for the whole team. Perfect amount of food and it all tasted great. Im still thinking about a couple of those salsas. In addition to the fantastic food quality, they were also very responsive over email to make all the arrangements, and it was a very easy pickup the day of. Vegetarian options: Lots of taco fillings and sides that are very vegetarian friendly.
A little piece of Mexico in Victoria BC
Thanks guys! My wife from Guanajuato was SO PLEASED to see authentic small cheesy quesadillas! And tortilla soup! We wish you the best!
Great food with great service. Sopa de Tortilla and fish tacos my fav.
Simply the best you can get! Love the new vegan cauliflower taco filling! So good!!!!!!!
Love the tacos here!
Really delicious had their Baja fish and beef Al pastor burritos and both were very flavourful and quite hefty. Would definitely come back here again and thank you for the meal
Just had them cater a meeting and let me tell you, this beats a sandwich tray any day of the week. Hot food, lots of selection and toppings. Overall great! Will definitely be using them for future meetings. Vegetarian options: They had a vegetarian and bean dish that was really quite good.
Wasn t great, wasn t terrible wouldn t do it again.
Always a good place to hit up for tacos and burritos. Great variety of taco fillings and salsa options. Burritos are a great size and unlike some Mexican places, they dont use rice as a cheap filler to beef up the burrito size... Its a hearty meal! Great staff. Vegetarian options: Vegan options (dairy free cheese)
I love their Pork Chorizo Taco. Sometimes their hot sauce levels are a bit inconsistent. But excellent overall.
Love that Baja Shrimp Taco!
Im pregnant, and my body is relentlessly picky, but I really enjoyed my tacos! I tried the beef and the Baja Shrimp, both delicious with the mild Verde sauce. I liked them so much, I got 2 more of the same.
Very good tacos and burritos
Great vegan options! This one is the best location in the Victoria area, Try Gordo if starving. Add Guacamole its always fresh. Im a frequent customer and never had any digestion issues after eating here
Good fing tacos
Fish burrito was mush. Deep fried batter wasn t crispy. The whole burrito had the texture of soggy couscous. They forgot to put the guacamole in the burrito and gave it to me on the side.
I used to think La Taquisa was my favourite place for Mexican food in Victoria but I just cant anymore. I typically alternate between the five tacos or the burrito bowl with pork chorizo but the consistency and portions of the ingredients between locations varies so much now. Yesterday I ordered the burrito bowl to-go and later opened the box to see they swapped lettuce for purple cabbage with no notice. It was awful and not edible! Absolutely the wrong texture and there were huge pieces of the core in the mix. If I had known in advance, I would have gone with the tacos instead and not spent $17 on a useless lunch.
This use to be the best tacos in Vic, they got rid of the taco deals, and quality has gone downhill. Sad to see
What a hidden gem this place is legit. I popped in for a quick bite just before lunch time and in the time I was there, every single customer that came in was a regular that the owner knew by name. The staff was speaking Spanish to each other which is always promising for a Mexican restaurant, they were all super friendly to me, and sure enough the pork chorizo burrito was mad tasty. It s a bit pricy at $14 for just a burrito, but worth it for a good meal and to support a local business that staffs and serves good people. If I lived in the area I d pop in weekly, cause I know I d get treated good!
They advertise vegan options. I just ordered a vegan burrito, got home and bite into it to find meat and cheese.
I had a chicken burrito at $14 pre tip and tax. Its quite small(close to half of a Tacofina burrito for example) and it wasnt toasted or anything after it was rolled. Normally I wouldnt mind the lack of toasting as the Tortillas are nice and soft, but the contents were so cool I feel like a toasting may have helped. Essentially all the topping cooled it off for a Luke warm burrito eaten probably 5 mins after I left. By the time I was half way done, the wrapper it came in had a big puddle of juices from the slaw they added making the last half soggy and inedible. From top to bottom that burrito was a failure and in more than one way, which leads me to believe some of these issues are likely a constant. All in all I cant say Id recommend this place over the multitude of other options in that space available in this city.
Enjoyed the fish tacos.
I think it was the manager, but they were a great example of good service. Completely turned around my day, by having a good attitude and asking what my plans were for the weekend. They also were really inclusive with their team speaking Spanish to some of the staff.
Favourite Victoria place for quality take out mexican food. The Baja style shrimp burrito is my favourite. People are great, so do tip the team for its great prep and quality.
Had a chorizo burrito and got Pico de gallo and ti my surprise the burrito tasted odd and not till I was picking stuff out and noticed there was cucumber in it!?!?! I was shocked as I have NEVER seen Pico de gallo with cucumber in it. It DID not belong and certainly did not taste good with the bean and chorizo.. what a disappointment! Please explain in what world does cucumber come in Pico de gallo?!?!?!?!?!?!
Ordered online through their website. Went to pick up my order and they had given it another person by mistake. Surprised they did not confirm the name or the order# with the person who picked up our order. Also did not offer a discount for the mistake. Had to wait when we got there for them to remake the food.
I usually get the 4-person family meal. But we hadnt ordered from La Taquisa in a while. Lo and behold, a container of crisp, fresh, finely shaved purple cabbage replaced the iceberg lettuce which used to come with this meal. Outstanding change! So crunchy. So good.
excellent and always consistent
Everything very good
Excellent tacos but the high rent prices turn me off. Lo siento.
Their burritos are delicious...when you get a good one. Ive had mostly good luck so my burritos were always pretty good. But unfortunately, sometimes you get a mushy flavourless burrito that just leaks liquid. Id give it 3.5/5 but I cant select half a star, so I will give the 4/5 since the owner is cool and friendly.
True authentic Mexican food..It is sooooo good!
Best taco joint on VI.
Fantastic tacos, especially the beef ones. Service was fast and friendly. Menu clearly labelled with what contained gluten.
Hungry, looking for tacos, stumbled upon this place. Very good tacos! Id return for a burrito.
We had an event catered by La Taquisa and the whole experience was wonderful from start to finish. Food was delicious and Scott was so great to deal with. Really can t recommend them enough.
I used to love la taquisa but something has changed. Ive lowered my expectations a lot since the pandemic, but my last visit here was atrocious. Food was cold and soggy, I was waiting in the restaurant so no reason to delay calling out an order. The apathetic person behind the counter offered no solution other than, we can put your order back under the heat lamp. Never returning
Good food, phenomenal experience and service
Delicious food, never a miss. Tortilla soup is a winner.
Love their beef burritos . Consistent quality and friendly service.
Yikes ordered the soup and got this instead of chips. Pay attention to ur orders!
When you have a hankering for fish tacos, there are a handful of places you can head to. And La Taquisa was high on our hit list of places to go... But alas, sometimes you aim high and fall short. The two of us purchased three tacos each and that totaled $30 by the time we walked out the door. They looked impressive as they were LOADED with great fixings. But in reality, the amount of fish in the tacos was actually really small. The taste was lost in the pile of good stuff in the taco. Good, but not great.
My favorite Mexican food, in Victoria. They use beef, not ground beef which is awesome! They dont use rice as a filler, but actual vegetables. I personally like wheat tortilla shells, but they also have small corn tortillas shells they make in the restaurant. They have come a long way from a little food cart in Cook Street village. Definitely worth trying! They have switched to using cabbage as the main vegetable. While that is very authentic, I dont like it as much as how they used to be made.
I was hosting a staff party on Monday night for a local bar and we decided to call for some burritos and tacos. When I called, I let the person in the phone know that I was about to make a large order for 9 people. She then asked me to wait so she could ask her manager whether they could accommodate because they closed in 30 minutes. When she came back to the phone, she told me that they won t take my order. Not because they were closed but because they closed in thirty minutes. She told me to call the downtown location, however clearly I was not downtown or else I would ve just done that from the get go. As the GM of a locally owned bar myself, I would never turn down a 200$ order because the staff might still be making food 5 minutes past closing time. I would have a chat with that manager and make sure that they are keeping the owners best interests in mind. I ve been coming here for years and love it, but this was just such an odd experience.
Slammin. Big portions.
The Sodes was phenomenal
I totally love the fast food experience but with the taste of authentic food. It is delicious!
This place is awesome. The food is amazing and fresh. The staff are friendly and generous. I always look forward to coming here and eating a burrito the size of a small child.
Just wow. The taste is amazing. Highly recommended. Ive been everywhere in Canada and this is by far one of the top places for sure. I have Celiac so ive tried Tacos everywhere and this has to be my favorite. A MUST try!!!
Very friendly and accommodating. Burrito was delicious!
Our office is hosting managers meetings this week. We give the small groups options to order lunch. They chose LA Taquisa, always a favourite. I placed the order online and then added one more item after via phone call. I picked up shortly thereafter. Always a pleasure dealing with LA Taquisa! Courteous and friendly. Scott even called me in the afternoon to follow up on the order! Im sad I missed the call as I was in a meeting. Would have loved to tell him in person how much I appreciate their service and delicious food! Thank you for an amazing meal! Dietary restrictions: Being gluten free I greatly appreciate the corn tortillas.
They make a delicious taco but it has gotten pretty expensive.
Very underwhelming inauthentic burrito. Served room temp, loosely wrapped. Go to boomtown for a halfway decent burrito in Victoria.
Great place to eat..
Huge fan of their tortilla chips and their Baja fish tacos..we love getting the meal for four. It always has enough for our family of 5 Vegetarian options: There are a few vegetarian options
Great vegan options.
Pretty sad attempt at a burrito. Probably one of the worst Ive had. Especially for $15. Feel kind of insulated by how bad it was. Honestly wish Id not come here for lunch. I tossed the remainder of the tiny worthless excuse of the burrito in the trash Ultra dry shredded cabbage, a thin layer of beans, and a bit of flavourless beef. Sauce not much, pico maybe something. Chewy old shell that made up most of it. Not sure why they even bothered to ask about level of spice? Maybe they were out of rice today. Shame on me maybe cause I had second thoughts about going in . Do better!
The food is delicious and the owners are very friendly.
I got the chicken tinga and cauliflower tacos, the latter a chef recommendation :) Great food, great sauces, great service, thank you!
Terrible!!..Tasteless..overpriced...and the beef didnt really resemble beef
Amazing burritos.
Price is to much for a regular burrito, and there quality of everything is okay
Get the El Gordo. Amazing so huge and tasty
I had just gone and I have a seafood allergy so I mentioned it and since im eating there at my own risk I know if anything happens it s on me. I did think that staff would change gloves considering someone had ordered shrimp before I did. I also had told the cashier no refried beans as it really hurts my stomach and I guess she missed it but it wasn t offered to be remade or anything. So my food wasn t particularly great in my opinion. I had eaten at the other location with no issues.
Is very good
Great soft shell tacos. Could use a cozier seating area.
My husband and I went to this restaurant to get some take out. We got 5 tacos, tortilla soup, nachos and salsa, and a gringa (bean and cheese). The tortilla soup tasted like tomatoes and sour cream. The tacos were lacking pico de gallo, which would have added much needed fresh flavor. Finally, the gringa did not have any cheese and the shells were too thick.
I went at the end of the day so I m not sure if that affected the quality, but these tacos were poorly made and didn t taste great. They weren t bad but I wouldn t go back.
Great celiac friendly and gluten free options
Authentic Mexican food and very tasty. Tiny restaurant but very nice staff. Only one public washroom so it would be helpful to have another one, but in general, very nice place.
I got a veggie Quesadilla for $9, its super small worth 2$ and it wasnt that good. Girl who took my order was nice though so 2 stars instead of 1
im not burrito guy but this place made me have a change of heart..chicken mole, spicy verde with guac is a heavy hitter...big up...best burrito of my life! 10/10 would come here again
Slow, slow and slow. Over price and 15 minutes to make a burrito.
Best shrimp tacos ever
One El Gordo with guacamole and sour cream with a warm soft drink - $27 all in. Will not go again!
Awesome burritos !
I used to go here often and see the owner and his family. I ve been to this location twice and downtown twice lately and the quality is far off what it was. The shrimp tacos were a hit but this time they were so hard I couldn t even eat them. On top of that my order was only 8 tacos and I watched where they Obvy forgot mine and served multiple people after me with the same taco orders. Staff were nice and as soon as I mentioned mine were taking a long while they jumped on my order. Hopefully the owner see s this and starts dropping in unannounced or getting his team to do some better quality checks. I should have called but was in a rush
The tacos are my favorite in town. Some varieties can get a touch soggy if I have any complaint. Its a quality place overall.
ahhhh brilliant. I wasnt sure when I saw it was a mini mall type place so I was thinking chain joint. as soon as I saw the menu and the 10 giant bags of maseca on the shelf I knew I was in the right place. fantastic flavors on all 5 tacos . great heat. tortillas are fresh and perfect and washed down with Mexican cola. plus local antibiotic meat. thats always thumbs up for me. will be my preferred Mexican place gracias
Sooo good
Restaurant quality and cleanliness definitely starting to slip. Owners please take note.
I got a Mole Burrito here today for take out. The Staff was very nice and the burrito was assembled fast. No complaints there. ... The burrito itself was mush. Just mushy, soft, bland, yuck. Yes, hot sauce helped but nothing could mask how mushy it was (sorry, I dont know how else to describe it). I paid $16 for this mess. I choked down half of it because I was super hungry having not eaten breakfast but after the first couple of bites it was a struggle. $16 for mush. My dog wouldnt even eat the remains. Never again.
Good Tacos. Used to be soggy Tacos. Seems they fixed that. Good job guys
I had the opportunity to try their tortilla soup and I have to say, it s probably the best tortilla soup I ve tried outside Mexico.
Their El Gordo is a bit sloppy, but the flavors are so good Ive gone back for more than one sloppy mess.
Had a great lunch at the Vic West location. I can always count on a delicious meal for a great price when I visit La Taquisa. Best bang-for-your-buck is the 5 taco deal. Fresh-made tortillas can t be beat.
Ordered a pork chorizo burrito ,very salty ,could not taste any meat. Im not sure if its correct etiquette to ask for tips when its take out. Wont be going back.
I ordered a vegan bean burrito and received a bean burrito with a few chunks of meat in it. I will not be returning and would not recommend this business to anyone who is vegetarian or vegan.
The Vegan Cauliflower Burrito is an awesome addition to the menu.
This is my taco go to place! Love their taco soup and the taco deal.
Best taco place in the city by far!
I liked the burritos but found them two beany (i am not a big fan of refried beans) but once I started asking for half beans on my burrito it all changed! Now I am fully on the burritos train and this place has amazing burritos at great prices.
We have been longtime La Taquisa fans but holy moly their new(ish) cauliflower tacos blow my mind! Theres something on the menu for our whole fam, even as the kids have grown and move from quesadillas only to medium red salsa on top. Love that theres a location in Vic West!
Tried to.poison me, terrible ordering system
Good food
Our family loves this place. Tacos, burritos, quesadillas... all yummy!!
Food is so delicious every time. authentic, value, flavour, options for everyone. House made guac and taco shells are a highlight.
Food was decent, but the cashier was rude and made me tell him if I wanted a tip and the amount instead of having the option on machine. Wouldnt go again.
Have always loved the tacos but man oh man the Vic west location quality has really gone down hill. The last 3 times my girl and I have gone they have messed up the order or didn t even make the order and had us wait for 30 minutes to find out. Hate to say it but to ask for a tip before hand and have this happen is super lame.
Service was nice and quick and people were very friendly, but unfortunately the food was far from good. Had the al pastor burrito and they had McDonald s quality lettuce and overall tasted like grocery store frozen burritos. the tacos weren t very flavourful, and the tortilla soup somehow managed to be the most enjoyable item while tasting just like tomato paste. Given the price and this experience, I don t think we ll be coming back and I suggest you save your money and find another place.
Visited this gem in Victoria and ordered the family meal. The chicken tinga was delicious! All the sides and salsas (which they make from scratch) were equally good and very authentic. The quesadilla however, not the greatest and the fish tacos could use some seasoning. We especially loved the medium red and salsa verde! During our 4 day visit, we frequented this place a few times since the kids loved it. La Taquisa is definitely a local favorite and the lineups can get pretty long so keep that in mind when ordering, even for pickup. Also note that except for a small bistro table outside and a small indoor countertop/barstools - there is not much room to dine-in at this location. The only complaint I had was that their pricing for salsa was inconsistent: 4oz salsa = $2.25 but when you order a large salsa, it s more expensive at 16oz = $12 ($3/4oz.) Weird they priced it this way, but the manager was kind enough to give us another 4oz for the discrepancy.
My fave is the Baja Shrimp taco with salsa verde! Big thanks to the friendly, hard-working staff :)
Completely messed up order items, burrito was mostly bean paste, not tasteful and not folded properly so it dripped straight onto the floor. The cashier also handles the tipping part of the POS transaction, guilt tripping you into tipping for takeout. 0/5.
Mmm...fish tacos !
Really really authentic delicious taco s. Love all the seafood options. I m going to try everything on the menu eventually - so good.
El Gordo on a plate!!!! :-)
Tried the burrito and several tacos. The burrito was as expected however the tacos were a special order around my wifes migraine dietary needs missing most ingredients we wanted putting in ingredients we did not want!Very disappointed. When you order check carefully to see what they have given you.
Had one of their pork burritos. It was fantastic.
This was awesomeness. We did the 5 veggie tacos...sorry no picture...we ate them fast .They tasted amazing!!!
Although we didnt get a chance to eat here.in the past food was excellent super tasty authentic hand made tortillas. They may or may not serve you. It used to be a pleasure to support this business. That was yesterday Today we got kicked out!! Medical exemptions once respected are no longer Too bad
I ate there for the 2nd time today. I had the Gordito Burrito with beef and baja shrimp, sour cream and chipotle mayo. It was delicious and ready right on time. So good.
Get ready for some saucy goodness
Very good tacos
The colliflower taco was amazing!!!
The cashier was friendly but clearly could not understand what I ordered as she missed the chips and salsa and gave me bean gringas instead of beef not impressed..
Tasted amazing till about 90 mins later. Couldnt stop burping, felt sick. I can eat just about anything. Might need to barf
Great Mexican priced right and good staff
Great staff and customer service, food is fantastic. Parking is horrible but a minor inconvenience for such deliciousness.
Authentic Mexican recipies and the best burritos in town. Es muy bueno!
I had the Beef al pastor burrito. It was pretty good, lots of meat and guacamole, and the veggies seemed really fresh. Unfortunately it was a bit bland for my tastes. Still, Id come back and try some other items. Edit: Upon return here I ordered the same thing but as hot as you can make it for the spice level. That trim level gets you chopped fresh habanero (slaw?) that is absolutely to die for. Its still not exactly hot but it is really tasty, and not bland at all. Ive upgraded my review to 4 stars.
Good price delicious food. It offers vegan and veggie options. They have vegan chorizo and veggie talcos that are ao flavourful and delicious. I the price is so good that next time I go Im ording 10.
Good quality food. Really dissapointed in the portion size. The biggest burrito you can get fits in the palm of your hand. For 16$ I expected something more.
Nice size Burritos
Ordered a vegetarian burrito to go. Got home to find it filled with beef. Delightful.
Great place to get food and very friendly staff.
Absolutely love the tacos. My go to is the Baja shrimp, amazing. Massive burritos! As close as you can come to the authentic Mexican experience, without the threat of a Cartel drive by shooting......
I found it very expensive for a very basic burrito. The lettuce made my burrito cold and wet and It lacked flavour (picante medium with a dash of very hot). Service was very pleasant.
Excellent and authentic; had takeout. Mexican sodas! Safe social distancing. Order online. Slow down...go for a picnic .
They only sold burritos when i was there, the food has no flavor, the taste is bland, definitely not a place to go if your looking for authentic Mexican food
It is ok
We went here very excited for some yummy sounding Mexican food... My quesadilla was not even enough food to satisfy the hunger of an infant. The taste was iight... but not memorable. My husband got a beanrito, soggy and the refried beans took over the whole burrito. =Absolute garbage food. Sorry guys! Not a winner!
Amazing food with great service!
It was lit. (Update) 10 months later and still a great quality product being distributed by this establishment. Consider revisiting this awesome spot to fill up on some classic comfort tacos. Yum!
A+ effort by the 9 year olds running the place, I hope middle school is kind to them
Gluten free tacos, large burritos with a fantastic amount of filling. Excellent value. Chips and salsa a huge hit as well. Great friendly efficient service. Jarritos available and right beside the Spinnakers liquor store if you want to pick up Mexican beer to go with. If only they had churros it would be perfect.
Their burritos are on par with almost any in the city, but at a slightly cheaper price !
Great tacos!
Amazing Food!
This is such an amazing local family run restaurant. It s food is consistently solid and has always been delicious. My recommendation is baja shrimp with the tacos or chicken mole!!
Bit into my burrito and cut my mouth on a huge piece of balled up tin foil, very off putting. They are also rude to order from and gave me a glare when I didn t want to tip. Not friendly people.
Best tortilla soup I have ever had.
Delicious
Quick friendly tasty.
Organic, local ingredients. Home made everything! The burritos Baha fish / Raja veggie are my fav!
Always a pleasure eating here. My tastebuds love it
In a town with lots of great tacos and burritos, La Taquisa is the best choice. The owners are wonderful people and the quality of food they put out is top notch. There is something for everyone here and this spot is my go to when my brother (who has many many dietary restrictions) is visiting town!
The salsa they put on the warm taco meat was so cold it chilled the whole taco. Very disappointing. Next time Ill ask for salsa on the side so it doesnt cool the tacos to room temperature.
Nice mexican bite
