Awesome family run Mexican restaurant and store with all kinds of local goods from across Mexico. I go there weekly to pickup groceries I can t get anywhere else in town!

Ricardo is a kind person, we tried a burrito and tamal, its was pretty delicious, Im not specialized in mexican food but I enjoyed it. I recommend the store. They sell some Mexican, Colombian, and Peruvian products. 100% recommended well back soon.

Most authentic Mexican place Ive been to anywhere on the island or even lower mainland. Tastes just like Mexico. It is pricey for thr amount of food you get but its truly amazingly good.

Very friendly and handy store for specific items. However, last time we needed tortillas we were charged $31 (!) while same exact product is $7.50 at the market on millstream as we discovered later. Just beware of prices and do research.

Delish made to order food, authentic and very reasonably priced. Lots of good grocery options as well. Staff is very kind and welcoming you can really tell this business is a passion of theirs. Will absolutely be back and would recommend to anyone!

The first time I came here, I was looking for the makings for Birria tacos & I couldn t even pronounce half the stuff I needed, the owner was so friendly & welcoming, he helped me find everything I needed & was so educating as well! Btw, the Birria turned out absolutely amazing! Every time we come here we get the empanadas which are to die for, the tamales are delicious as well! If you start making birria we ll be there everyday lol

I went in for the first time, and had an incredibly nice experience in a relaxed atmosphere, I did not feel rushed despite being unfamiliar and was treated very kindly. He explained patiently about the options and how to prepare them. The food was absolutely delicious and I left knowing Id be back!

Burrito is massive but lack of flavor and mostly filled with rice and lettuce and not much meat. Protein selection is very minimal. Never been to a Mexican joint that doesnt serve carne ASADA or even Al pastor. I dont recommend this place because theres other food options in the area if your looking for Mexican food. The guy who I believe is the owner greeted us right away and try to convince us to buy something. My wife was starving and so she got something for lunch and I didnt just because I didnt want to waste my money. Looked around the market and saw some mexican candies I used to get when I was a kid but I was shocked that they charge a $1.50 for a tiny piece of candy... Lol

Its the only place that carries both Mexican candies, including mangomitas. That plus amazing enchiladas!

I found the place to be clean and the staff to be friendly. They have an interesting mix of products that to the right person would be wonderful finds. I went there just to get a burrito, it was huge and tasted good but it could have had more spicy for my liking. I m sure that could easily been rectified by the staff if I just asked for it.

Had empanadas and they were so incredibly good that we got 2 each. I m celiac and I haven t had empanadas since I was a kid in Mexico. I was so shocked that these were Glutej Free! They were so crispy and crunchy on the outside with the most delicious tender and juicy filling with melty cheese. You can tell a lot of care and love goes into everything they prepare and assemble. I will definitely come back and recommend. (Plus the owners are fabulous and kind!) My go to place for Mexican goods and snacks from now on!

Easy to get there, they are good tortillas

My dad and I went to try out this place today and the food was delicious, my dad ordered a bunch of chicken and beef empanadas for the rest of our family, I had a chicken burrito and it was huge and everything was homemade Really friendly customer service, I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to have good homemade Mexican food My dad and I will definitely be returning in the near future

The owner was so welcoming and friendly. I got a beef burrito which was HUGE. I asked for avocado in it and he said theyd have to open one and see if they were good because some were brown earlier in the day, which was very reassuring knowing he only wanted to serve quality food. The burrito was full of flavour and well worth what I paid. I will definitely be back.

Was welcomed into the store by a very respectful gentlemen, showed my partner and I around the deli and grocery areas which has a wide selection of Mexican spices and goodies. Food is handmade fresh daily, even down to the tortillas. Amazing food, excellent service, will be back in the future.

High prices and no price tags What also bothers me is that I usually go for chorizo and I know the price already and I went today to find a higher price and the cashier only said that it s the best one. And I had to ask for a recipe since they don t even want to give one. Worst place

I wouldnt go back even by mistake. There are no price tags and it bothers me to wait for them to give you a price, plus they give a different price every week and to finish, the food was horrible. I used to stop by very often to buy but I realized that the prices were going up and up as if they were taking everything out of their hands.

When the owner greets you at the door and proclaim they have, The best Mexican food on Vancouver Island, I thought well, thats some serious shoes to fill! Yeah, you know where this is going. Damn straight it was the best! So authentic and fresh! Had the pork tacos . Cant wait to go back and try everything. Keep up the great food folks !

From the moment we walked in, we could feel the love for the food by the ambience of the place and spirit of the older male (owner). He greeted & welcomed us with genuine enthusiasm. He made some suggestions and showed us around. We had Empanadas and tacos. We tried each of the 3 proteins, beef, chicken and pork and each was excellent. All of it was homemade and using only the freshest ingredients. A definite must when in Langford!

Omg we ordered food for pickup tonight it was delicious. We got tacos,and enchiladas,a few burritos, a few tamales with chips and Pico. I must say everything was delicious and extremely fresh. This is my new favorite place to eat! What we ordered Fed six people with seconds.

I can t recommend this place enough! The food is authentic and delicious. I recently had them prepare a large feast of enchiladas and taquitos for a family function and everyone raved about how delicious it all was. Muchas Gracias to the chefs and Ricardo!!

What an absolute gem! I have been dying for really good mexican food (especially tamales) and stumbled on this spot driving home. The horchata was some of the best Ive ever had. I bought every tamale he had left, and sat in the store for empanada. Everything was fresh and delicious. The little grocery store section has a good range of food and fare.

Riccardo, the owner of La Tortilla Mexicana, is such a kind hearted and welcoming person!!! His homemade food is amazing and the variety of Latin products is big! It s super easy to get here by taking the Rapidbus from Victoria if you are craving some authentic Mexican food! Would definitely recommend it!!!

This place is awesome. After having lived in Mexico for nearly 2 years, you miss the food and this place makes up for it. Every time Im there I tried something different. Their tamales are great and especially have a go at the burrito. It is a meal all on its own. Definitely worth the time.

I remember long ago when Ricardo and his family owned a restaurant in Esquimalt- it was my favourite place to eat! I am so glad to see that La Tortilla Mexicana has stayed on the island and the food continues to be made, because it is the best Mexican cuisine I have ever eaten.

Family owned. Dishes freshly made from scratch. We were welcomed and felt at home from the minute we were greeted at the door. Our burritos were huge and filled with delicious ingredients. Fantastic spot!! Highly recommended! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options. No Dairy options.

Very authentic and great place to get Salsas, dried chilies and more! Been there twice, first time to pick up Groceries and salsas, second time to pick up some of the fresh cooked meals. Ricardo is very nice and welcoming and recognized me on my second visit. Dont know the authentic items beyond tacos and Burritos but Ricardo helped me out with some recommendations and the Empanads were awesome and Soup was so delicious as per the recommendation. all the way

My favourite mexican food in Langford, closest to home Ive had and Ricardo is always so welcoming. Only complaint is that I bought some Carlos V chocolates there that were old (unsure if expired or just bad quality) but the actual food they make there is great.

The best place to get all your latin needs. From premade food to decor and purses, highly recommend the place. The owner Ricardo is one of the friendliest people I have ever met. Cant recommend this place enough, the food is to die for all in house made and as authentic as it gets.

Stopped at La Toritilla before we went to Sooke potholes. We got the burrito and empanadas, and they were absolutely amazing! Okay the ingredient were fresh and tasted authentic, and the staff/owner at the restaurant was a gem. Thanks for the food!

This place has the best and most authentic Mexican food in the Greater Victoria area. I was sad when they closed up their wonderful restaurant in downtown Vic, though I cant say I blame them, and I knew I was going to check out their Langford establishment as soon as I was in that area. I had a chicken tamale on site which was very delicious and then I got two different chicken enchilada dishes for heat up at home so I could surprise my husband. They were even better than expected. The chipolte sauce was wonderfully flavorful and spicy and the verde sauce was delicious and a little more mild. The accompanying side dish of potatoes and carrots was so good! Those are not something I would usually get excited about, but I ate them all. In addition to delicious ready made food, there is also a great variety of Mexican groceries. I got some cassava chips and La Victoria green enchilada sauce which I remember fondly from my days in SoCal. I feel that this little establishment is worth traveling for and I will do so for their rotating soups, such as menudo, pozole and meatball. If you live close by, you should most definitely go!

Awesome shop with delicious food! Lots of unique grocery items I haven t been able to find at other local grocery stores, and homemade frozen items that I ll definitely pick up next time. The staff were super helpful and I ordered the empanadas, tacos, and tamale - all were super tasty and filling, but the empanada was the real star. Plus the fresh toppings added helped to make it feel like a full meal even without the rice and beans (which I d also like to try next time). Highly recommend!

This place is one of my favorites for mexican products in Langford . You can find authentic Mexican stuff as Mayonesa Mc Cormik, Jabon Zote, Roma, aceite123... And lots of different mexican brands. On the other hand, you can find frozen homemade chorizo, tamales, empanadas etc. I had red chorizo and it was very good, juicy and tasty. They have a deli bar so you can get fresh tacos dorados, empanadas, tamales, desserts, etc. So yummy!!! I dont have enough space to write all the amazing brands and products they have lol. I am so happy they open this store so near of my house in Langford.

Horrible food. The people that work there are authentic but the food isnt. It tastes like what you would get in prison on Mexican food day. Premade frozen portions. No flavor. Enchiladas were so plain and white. No sauce at all on them and uncooked perogie like tortilla for some reason. Nothing is fresh. Everything is just heated up. TINY portions. $5 each for tiny tacos. Definitely make better food at home!

Great place however La Tortilla comes second to Taco Shell in Sidney BC 2367 Beacon Av for Mexican cuisine. I suggest they should add a bit more zest to La Tortillas menu and try avoid offering an ordinary fast food Mexican food menu

A great addition to the Westshore in this authentic deli and grocery. Great selection of sauces, spices and fresh ingredients for excellent at home mexican cooking. Also, a must try is there ready made hot food items, we tried the enchiladas and were impressed! In case youre in the area looking for a cold treat, they also sell Foothills Creamery hard icecream by the scoop!

Yes nice clean store and assortment of great Mexican products. When I entered people were eating & their food looked amazing. Was wanting to try but the cashier guy said he ran out of food and only had take and bake enchiladas to go. I wanted to eat in the restaurant not take home. Maybe Ill try another time and give 5 stars.

We came up to the door 5 min after closing time and they waved us in to get a couple of ice-cream cones. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. Will definitely be back! Next time I will grab some tortillas and some nice mexican cheese for taco night Thank you!

Great place to get all the hard to find items for Mexican cuisine. Staff are very friendly and eager in assisting to help find what you need.

They have everything from duvalines and Carlos V, to guajillo and piquin chiles. I tried the red and green tamales and the chicken tacos, and they were very delicious. Highly recommended.
