Fun little Mexican themed diner, that serves really good food. Its been hard to find good chimichangas on the west coast, but this place does a great job fulling that void in my diet. Definitely recommend. Vegetarian options: You can order most things without meat.

Disappointed

Honestly a terrible attempt at Mexican food + overpriced. Food is on par with hospital food. Ordered the rice and bean bowl and got a slurry of beans and sour cream with 15 grains of rice. Also ordered a taco salad, the order came out as a bean bowl, they replaced it with their second attempt at the original order and also got that wrong. We later noticed they also overcharged us for the wrong order. I d highly suggest you go to any other place in town. Hate to complain, but this complaint had to be written.

The completely messed up our order. We ordered quesadilla and they served kids quesadilla while we had not ordered kids meal at all. Rice and bean bowl was so cheesy and creamy and it looked more like nacho plate than rice and bean bowl.

When I lived in Langford it was a go-to spot for me and my two siblings, us being three gringos. After I moved away I missed their chimichangas too much and now every time I visit van island I make sure to dine in at least once during my visit no matter the distance to travel. The free ice cold water was bliss especially for my friend who tried a spicy dip and is not usually a spicy eater... The service and kitchen always have good energy and are very welcoming to all diversities that I feel they enjoy spoiling everyone and the food says it all, tortillas fried to perfection and all the flavours bursts with every bite.

Ive been twice now with 2 years between visits. It seems popular with the locals but its not my first choice in the area (or 2nd)... but just because Im not impressed doesnt mean you wont be, so try it for yourself.

Not sure where the high ratings are coming from. Staff were nice and service was fast, but the food is cafeteria grade. Go to Tacofino for the money.

I am always looking for great Mexican! For some reason I didn t have high hopes for this place but was pleasantly surprised. Delicious and FULL quesadilla and very flavourful guac (and chips). It was a little spicier than anticipated but it was great! 10/10 will order again.

This is such a hidden gem in the western communities. I almost don t want to give a review as I don t want to let the secret out! Huge portions of ULTRA fresh, colourful food! The flavours are out of this world! For a true taste of Mexican cousins you NEED to check this place out! Arrive early as those of us in the know are aware that at prime time there s lineups out the door. Service is top notch and everyone welcomes you!

Great Mexican food.

I got the burrito bowl with shredded chicken. It was more like a taco salad though because it had a lot of iceberg lettuce and tortilla chips on top. The shredded chicken was so salty, dry and I kept thinking of when I open my cats tin food as I was tasting it. I don t know my friend thought the same! It was underwhelming for sure but it was under $20 ($16) which is shocking these days.

I don t get takeout often, so it s quite disappointing when I decide to treat myself and the food ends up being this bland. The meat was dry and under seasoned, the chipotle salad dressing tasted just like plain mayo, and the taquitos tasted like they were fried in dirty oil. Also they forgot the guacamole that I paid extra for. I don t want to be rude but I would rather just buy a taco kit from the grocery store next time.

I hate giving this place a bad review because the food itself was actually pretty tasty, but as soon as you walk in the tacky, colorful decor and general lack of cleanliness of the place just jumps out at you. I ordered a pulled pork burrito and a ground beef taco. Both tasted delicious so they definitely know how to season their meat, but at $16 for one of the smallest burritos Ive ever had and $7 for a standard taco respectively, both were grossly overpriced for the size. The staff was friendly and the service was lightning quick. As a huge fan of Mexican food, I cant help but feel greatly disappointed.

I have no idea how I waited this long to write a review since this is my favourite restaurant in all of Langford, and probably Victoria. My boyfriend and I order from Three Gringos religiously. The food is always fresh and tastes amazing. The staff is very friendly and always smiling, even when there s a line up out the door.

I guess it should have been obvious from the name, but dont expect anything even resembling authentic Mexican food from this place. There are two options for the tacos, hard shell or wrapped up like strange mini burritos. The seasoning of the meat was fine but topping and hot sauce were underwhelming and very american (shredded cheddar and lettuce).

Quick trip to Mexico for lunch. Food is consistently great! Atmosphere is like being transported to Mexico.

Food is amazing, the servers are great, it is really small with limited seating if youre looking to dine in.

Customer service was good, nice people! I got the avocado chicken salad and it was really good but the best part was definitely the water. The water they had paired perfectly with the salad and was refreshing. I have never tasted water this good. omg i miss it already as I m drinking my disgusting fridge water. Very good water.

I had ordered 2 fish tacos but upon opening my take-out container, a silverfish crawled out of one of my tacos and jumped into my sisters container of tacos. I guess we werent specific enough with what kind of fish tacos we wanted. Im sure they wouldve been delicious but I just couldnt

OMG we love everyone and everything here. We have been going here for five or six years and it only gets better each visit. The staff knows your order says hi when you arrive and see you soon, thanks for coming in when you leave. The food is fresh and healthy and ooooh so good! Cant wait for summer days on their deck.

Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The food (which they recommended) was delicious, and the price was not too high. Couldn t be happier! I ll be back! I did takeout, but they have about 10ish tables for 2-6 people for eat-in. Most were full when I went (3pm on a Saturday), but a few were available.

Ok so definitely is not authentic mexican food as you can guess by the name. Still the food is very tasty, the service is great and the atmosphere makes it feel like you are in a real fondita. Loved it. Food

Wow, I didnt think they were going to pass the test but... the fish tacos are very good and the chimichanga was something exquisite to try... I felt strange why there were only weritas serving and in the kitchen and I prayed if they It was... in service if only what Mexico lacked was better service by serving you at your table and not stopping to ask for your order but from then on everything was very good

Staff were friendly. My fish taco was good but it was drenched in chipotle sauce so much that it made it wet. The sauce also drowned out any other flavour in the dish so much that I didn t finish my second one. Go easier on the sauce or even get rid of it all together and it would be really good!

Great food and friendly staff, but the star of the place are the CHURROS! OMG. SO. YUMMY. Crunchy outside and oh-so-soft inside. Also props for all the takeout materials for being compostable. FANTASTIC!

Great mexican food

I ate here for lunch and had the Avocado Chicken salad was very fresh and delicious and ample! I recommend this place for a great lunch spot.

The burrito was too dry...it is more like a takeout restaurant. Limited sitting area and mostly self service. They do have a simple kids menu.

I love mexican food so much. And I spend my days traveling and just trying mexican food. This place was excellent. I had 3 crispy tacos, with rice and beans. As well as chips and salsa. And my traveling companion had the quesadilla. Which she also loved. They also had a good selection of Cholula hot sauces. Totally gave me Northern Mexican vibes. Will hopefully be back.

Had a pork burrito bowl and it was pretty fantastic. The meat was authentic and super tender and the veggies were fresh and crisp. Looking forward to trying more.

I am in a food coma but I couldnt stop eating....it was so good !!!!!

I ordered take out and was told thirty minutes for pickup. I arrived five minutes early and there were two couples ahead of me in line. I noticed a take out bag sitting in the shelf and hoped it wasn t my order. It took ten minutes for the two couples ahead of me to place their orders. And, yup, that was my order getting stone cold on the shelf. The last time I ordered take out, about three weeks ago, my order wasn t ready so I said I would wait outside. I waited for five minutes but no one come out. I finally went in and my order was sitting on that same shelf and it was cold! Grrrr! You can do better, Gringos!

Ordered the pork tinga burrito to go. Was mostly beans. I m not even sure there was any meat. Felt empty I really think maybe they just forgot the meat. Are there a couple years ago and enjoyed it. If it wasn t for that experience and that they probably just forgot the meat by accident I d give it a 1. I would have said something after a few bites but I was long gone.

A perfectly adequate taqueria, the food was well prepared and tasty. You dont go for the atmosphere or the service (which is order at the counter). They ran out of ice for drinks. They arent open late, at least not on a Tuesday. The food is reasonably priced. There is ample parking. All guests in my party enjoyed the visit.

Im not young and Id say those were the best nachos I can remember eating. Dang they are huge. House made Chips and salsa were so well seasoned I was pumped. Friendly and I felt like a great value. Kids meal was so cheap and good.

Good food, great service

This is the second time that I have enjoyed Three Gringos Mexican Grill and both times it has been a great experience. I ve ordered the veggie burrito bowl with avocado and hot sauce on the side. The serving is generous and includes rice, black beans, cheese, sautéed red peppers and mushrooms, corn, tomatoes, cilantro, green onion, lettuce, sour cream, and chipotle. Next time I ll try the fish tacos as that is also one of my favourites. The vibe is a funky Mexican café, the staff are friendly and efficient, and the prices are great value for the money. They do a lot of take out, but I always dine in. My only very minor quibble is that I appreciate it when the staff check with you a couple of minutes after they serve to see if everything is all right or if you need anything else. Even around 3:45 when I arrived, they were very busy and it kept up, despite being early for any dinner traffic. For this reason I forgive them for not checking up on me. I d recommend them to anyone who wants great Mexican food in a relaxed atmosphere. I will be back the next time I m in the area.

Ordered online, the chimichanga, contained 90% beans, the chiken Buritto bowl consisted of 90% rice and beans, the chicken Enchilada was sparse and put together badly. If I was a vegetarian I may have enjoyed my tasteless meal. Quality control is lacking.. Very disappointed

I never miss an opportunity to stop in for lunch when Im out in Langford. Fresh made wonderful food, great, clean flavor.

I order from them all the time and have never had anything but outstanding food. Food so fresh it would slap your face...and I cant get it in my face fast enough... Their Taquitos are legendary! You ladies rock! 3 Gringos is the word!! Ya heard?

Overall, okay. Chicken and pork was shredded to such a degree that there was little texture left. I actually found it hard to differentiate between the pork and the chicken. Meat was lukewarm and the lettuce was frozen. Would be nice to see simple flank steak tacos with fresh pico de gallo. Hot sauce selection was great.

I dont know if the burritos are authentic but they are damned good :-) with a mix of smokey, sweet barbecue flavours and a nice warm spiciness balancing things out, and more heat on the side for those of us that like it hot!

Tasty, plenty of options, and the staff are fantastic. Cinco de Mayo was mad, but they were on the ball and I was fed before my bus came. Great!

Today I came here for the first time with my fiancé it was late in the afternoon I ve never been to this place before so I didn t know if it was dine in or take away only. I came in was immediately greeted by the hostess cashier she was friendly. The menu is not a complex Mexican traditional menu; it is western style: that being said the menu options are awesome and the prices are fantastic. I had the taquitos with chicken and they were excellent the portions are very large everything tasted fresh, my salad was amazing! I highly recommend the cilantro vinaigrette dressing it was excellent. The presentation and Decour of the place is authentic it makes you feel like you re in Mexico; my fiancé was really impressed with her meal as well the salsa was good the guacamole was good, everything was very enjoyable and I can t wait to come back to try the other popular items the chicken avocado salad sounds fantastic! Highly recommended this place. Summer will be great sit out front and have a margarita! A++

Service was efficient and friendly. Food was good, yet short of what I d call authentic Mexican.

Just had linch there for the first time. A wrap with pork tinga with a side of chips and salsa. Decided to enjoy the sun and sit outside, was followed out with my side! Wrap came out very quickly and i enjoyed every bite! Grilled to perfection, everything tasted really fresh. Everyone had great things to say as they were leaving. 100% will be back!!

Food was great and served quickly. One thing though is they need to be transparent on their prices. An item I ordered said clearly on the board and their paper menus what was included in the price, but when I paid for it I was surcharged extra for something clearly included to the posted price. I wonder how many items on the menu people are being surcharged and not being informed. Not good business practice.

We ordered take out from them this evening and it was delicious. I highly recommend the taquitos and the tacos are very generous in size. The service was fast and very friendly :)

Ordered two soft tacos and a Chimichanga. The tacos arrived 5 min after the Chimichanga. The tacos were cold, we returned them and they brought them back 5 min later still cold. After returning the tacos I was given a Sorry, we could try to heat it up again, I said no thanks. They did not offer a refund. The management and staff have been going downhill the last 3 years. An apology from management does little to get me back.

Very colorful little restaurant with a few outdoor tables. Menu has a bit of everything and it holds an alcohol license. I had the fish tacos which were pretty good. The meat tacos are bigger and rolled low burritos, so I wouldnt recommend getting more than two (unless youre really hungry). Staff is very nice and prompt, and the food will fill you up nicely! Parking: Lots of parking!

The food was fresh but the payment machine only showed a tip as % . They dont bring you the food. The explanation of the bowl I ordered didnt make me really understand what I was getting. I based my choice on other bowls Ive had in the tortilla shell. This was not that. It was good and was served with chips so it ended up being more of a dip/ stew, soup ? That I scooped or put on the chips to eat. I enjoyed it but was confused.

While service was friendly, the food wasnt good. Tacos were bland, short on fresh, flavourful salsa and cilantro, and the cheese had the taste and texture of something out of a bag. Skip this one.

Until today, I had only ordered the jalapeno poppers (which are amazing), but I wanted something a bit more and ordered some nacho and a chicken enchilada. Extremely underwhelmed. The nachos had barely any cheese, the enchilada was dry and overly salty, and they didnt put the top on my salad dressing which was in the box with the enchilada so it went everywhere. Given the place does not actually provide service beyond pressing buttons on a machine, the immediate pop up of adding a tip is a bit annoying. I always tip on take out and tipped 15% today only to receive poor meals and such a minimal effort that the lid wasnt on correctly to prevent spillage. I will stick to the poppers only in the future.

I always order 3 gringos on skip the dishes and the food is always amazing. I love anything that has the shredded chicken! I ordered the burrito bowl for the first time today and Ill go as far to say that this is the best burrito bowl in town. I wish they had longer hours so I could also go after work!

Absolutely love this local family run restaurant. Great staff, delicious food and the price is right! Definitely check this place out. My favorites are the California Wrap and the churro chips.

Really good food, great friendly staff, reasonable prices. I was a bit worried how they would do with Azteca opening around the corner but they are no competition for 3 Gringos. Everything Ive eaten here has been amazing.

Love this place, the staff and my Avocado Chicken Salad, but the last few times has been lacking consistency! Including my salad today literally half the size it usually is. Normally, you get a salad loaded with lettuce and a beautiful array of toppings nestled on top. In addition, my friends wrap was not made to order, missing any sauce entirely.

Friendly, funky, fast and Delicious!

Our first time dining at this place left me seriously impressed. Its not haute cuisine, or even 100% authentic Mexican food (they use too much cheese to be that lol!) but damn, was it tasty and well seasoned food! We had the fish tacos and the enchiladas and everything was tasty and filling. We even liked how the food was presented for in-restaurant dining. For example, with the enchilada plate, you get a side serving of four dips, which include guacamole, a hot sauce, sour cream, and some kind of cheese sauce that had lime in it. Staff is also super friendly and lots of attention to detail. Will definitely be going there again. Also, they are very rigorous on PHO orders and health protocols, which I greatly appreciated (we saw 2 people refused indoor and outside deck service because they wouldnt present a vaccine card - kudos on that).

Hola! Came in today for a Chimichanga to bring back old memories of my yout as they always knock it out of the park, but I also got two Surprise Me Tacos of each soft and hard shell, may I just say the varieties my order taker gave me not only had me dancing in my seat but also on my feet. 11/10 will be back again.

Ive eaten here at least 15 times and it has just gone down hill. Skimping on the meat and all together just smaller portions. You simply do better at home. Sorry but not sorry just being honest.
