Visited this place twice! The taste is good and the ingredients are fresh! I feel reassured! There are quite a few base ingredients for Japanese food. When you first get it, you may think it doesnt seem like a lot, but once you eat it, youll be full haha. Recommended for those looking for a healthy lunch or brunch!

We got the regular size bowls, and the portions were generous. The staff were very friendly, and the washroom was clean.

DELICIOUS poke! Reasonable prices and portion sizes were large. Highly recommend the marinated tuna and salmon. Fish was fresh! Parking: There is paid street parking right outside and a paid garage (Centennial) right around the corner!

Absolutely no sanitary and employees are absolutely disrespectful to me just cause it took me couple minutes to decide what to order even though there was no one in store but me and they were preparing my food with disgust in their faces, it s probably cause i took couple minutes from their time on their cellphones. Never going back again here

Honestly my favorite poke place in the city, not aggressive with the upcharges that other poke places have. larger portions than ohana and Ono, more variety of fillings, and less filler in the protein. Staff friendly and knowledgeable and service was prompt.

How much is in regular bowl seems to vary drastically

The food was exceptionally fresh and excellent tasting. I ordered a bowl . All kinds of choices for your bowl. You can pretty much have it made the way you want it. The service was great we got to watch our food be made right in front of us. Stayed at the restaurant to eat, and this little place was cozy. Im not much for raw sushi type foods. Ill tell you one thing,, I was impressed and probably will go back.

They made a mistake and made me pay twice my bowl and after we fixed that (but with no refund of the tips) they wouldn t even give me a bag to carry my meal. They asked me to pay for it 25c. The food was just okay.

Fresh ingredients and very delicious. Their signature bowls have great complement of ingredients and flavours.

Good variety of options for the price. You get to choose several mix-ins and toppings without having to pay extra. The fish was good too, although the rice was a bit hard and lacking flavour.

We came across this fabulous place yesterday. The food is delicious, so fresh and so much to choose from.

Delicious poke with crunchy and umami toppings. Requested the tangerines on the side and the service kindly put the portion into small containers.

I cant say enough about how great this gem is. I go almost every day because the food is so good and affordable with hearty portions and delicious recipes. The staff are friendly, they remember your name, and always go the extra mile.

The bowls are well put together and full of flavour but the size seems to vary. A regular size bowl recently left me feeling like I could eat an entire second bowl, while previously it was quite a pile of food. As shown in my photo, a whole lot of bowl and not much food. If youre hungry get the bigger size.

Mediocre. Ive been eating at Steves Poke chain on the mainland for a bit and I didnt realize how spoiled I was. I ordered the island bowl and it was very underwelming. Flavours didnt come together properly and the included toppings were so sub par to Steves. Im sure there is better Poke in Victoria, Id go elsewhere.

Twice in a row my avocado was half rotten and completely inedible. The staff absolutely doesn t seem to care how an avocado looks and just puts it into people s bowls no matter how bad they are. Completely unacceptable for the price they charge.

High quality poké for a reasonable price. I have a hard time settling for poké now that this is my standard.

Decent poke bowls, good options and flavors. Been going here often but last few times bowls have seem dry, not alot of sauce.

I love Island Poke! It is always very fresh ingredients and I am never left hungry even when choosing the regular size. I opt to create my own bowl, mixing brown rice and salad along with my favorite toppings. However, the do have some very tempting menu items that you can choose from.

Friend of mine introduced me to this spot, defs will return. Amazing and tasty bowls, huge variety of options. Seating is ample and the staff and overall atmosphere was pleasant.

Island poke is primarily a sea food bowl/salad place. Also suitable for Muslims looking to get Halal food, as they only bave sea meats such as fish, crabs, lobster etc. They dont have any other kind of meats, no chicken, no pork. They also dont sell any alcohol based drinks.

Amazing and healthy foods! The protein choices are so fresh and delicious. The place is very nice and tidy, and the workers are awesome.

Multiple bones found in my Island House Bowl, its disappointing that I could not complain in person since this was on delivery. At first it was a small piece so I understood that the kitchen missed a small bone while handling but another small piece and at last a big chunk of bone while eating was unpleasant. I lost my appetite after that. This is a safety issue since it almost stabbed my mouth. I hope you guys makes sure to clean the bones thoroughly in the future.

Built my own bowl: salmon, marinated salmon, and tune! Added avocado and a bunch of other delightful toppings. Enough food for two meals! Good value and taste. Will be back soon!

Food is good if you get what you ordered. I was here on vacation and placed in my order online. Went to go pick up and brought it back to the hotel and noticed that I was missing a bowl so I called in and complained. They told me to come back to pick up my second bowl so I did. They put my bowl in a paper bag and I brought it back to the hotel only to noticed that it was a completely different bowl from what I ordered Poorly managed team here and I wasn t compensated for the time and gas wasted driving back. Safe to say I won t be returning to this location again.

Great food!

Highly recommend building a custom bowl. The fish is fresh and delicious, sockeye is worth the extra couple bucks. Sauces and other toppings combine to create an awesome flavour experience. I do wish there were some real hot/spicy options.

When life gives you lemons squeeze them, add salt, garlic, oils, honey, and create a marinade for cubed fish .this is what I imagine the owners think at Island Poke. Very fresh and bright ingredients. I had the Ohana bowl for lunch. A great size and prepared by friendly staff. I will be back. Yum.

The bowl was good. But what through me off was the fact that they had tuna and other fish meat sitting outside at room temperature.

The poke bowl was good (and I like the range of options) but my stomach was upset after I ate it. Please make sure that the proteins are fresh (esp the scallop)! I ll come back again and I might edit my review :)

Mediocre, plain, dry. Not the best I ve had but not the worst. If you get a bowl with rice and salad it s going to be like 1/8 rice, 3/4 lettuce and some toppings. Maybe their other bowls are better but I wasn t really a fan of the signature Island bowl

Quite authentic and food quality is almost always superb. Its definitely one of the best Poké places in town. To top it all-- Its a really quick service. My only tip to them would be tk be generous with their seasoning !

Absolutely amazing!! I ate here for the first time last week and I can t believe that I ve been missing out this entire time! The staff is absolutely amazing...probably the best service I ve ever had in Victoria!!! Food is perfect! Healthy, yummy and fresh! The fish was of high quality and totally fresh. I ve eaten poke bowls at some very well known places in the US and I must say, Island Poke is so much better than all of the ones I ve tried before! And the price can t be beat! I am definitely hooked now.

What a place! So much seafood, great proportion great price and so delicious.

Great spot for poke bowl wrap or salad. A regular size bowl which is two scoops runs you about 13 bucks but the scoops are reasonable and its not just two scoops of fish! Its rice, greens and an assortment of legumes and toppings. Well worth the price.

Yesterday was the hottest day on record and this place was slammed, absolutely nuts busy, I wanted to hop behind the counter and help. I love it here, always delicious poke and friendly staff. Yesterday they were so busy that two people clearly on a day off came in to help at dinner time as the walk-in and online orders lineups were huge. Every single person working yesterday evening should get a big bonus and if it wasnt COVID times Id like to give them all a crisp high five as well for getting through that rush. Pay these lovely people more and get some better fans for the next heatwave!!

Very slow service

I got a vegan tofu bowl. It tastes descent. I am only giving it a four star for the price and perceived value. I dont think a vegan bowl should be as expensive as the ones with expensive fresh fish in it. I paid ~17 dollars for my bowl because avocado was charged $2.

The music made it a bit hard to hear other people but nice service and tasty food make up for it!

The fresh fish goes crazy good. There is a wide variety of bowls and all the signature are tasty. Their service wizard fast no lie -Ton Would recommend the spicy salmon, always a solids choice. Have been a big fan of Island Poke for about a year but lately their quality has gone down. Ive had 2 bowls now that I couldnt finish because the fish tasted off and my most recent visit my bowl smelled off and there was way too much sauce. I think I finally need to give up on them, sadly.

Their Island Bowl is a staple in this house! Consistent, fresh, and worth every penny every time. They were the first place I looked for on Door Dash when covid hit, and quality has not declined despite all the challenges theyve faced during the pandemic. Remains easily the best poké in town. Highly recommend.
