The food was terrible. I think the mac and cheese comes from M&M Frozen foods as does the cheese cake.

The lunches were excellent. The service is extremely friendly and interested. Dinner was also very good. Despite the pleasant crowds, we didnt have to wait long. Service also very helpful in the evening. Atmosphere very good. I would eat there again in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, the distance from the Netherlands is a limitation.

Games Room is a great venue for Victoria Mixed Tactics League darts.

I only had a couple drinks but the service was good.

Mid at best. Besides having to hand over my passport to even enter and the bouncer being less than friendly about it, it was just okay. Lots of steps inside so if youre unable to do stairs, I would avoid this place. Also kind of a maze to get to a bathroom. Would I go back? Eh probably not. Too bad because I love the name and a good pub.

Delightful pub. Got the standard burger, and it was delicious, jusicy, and flavorful. My companion got the chicken sandwich on a brioche bun. They said while it was yummy it was far too much bread. First world problems haha. Wonderful staff, wonderful atmosphere. I would absolutely eat here again when I visit Victoria next.

Food is good, it s just like what you would expect but not WOW! I ll Remember that meal for a long time. Staff is great and the atmosphere is just what you would want in a busy British style bar.

Cant rate the food or atmosphere because we didnt actually go in or get to try the food. Rating the service 1 star because of the following. We were staying at the Strathcona and were looking forward to trying the Sticky Wicket. So we called down from the hotel to place a takeout order, and were told that, in order to do a takeout order, we would need to come to the pub and wait for 15 minutes in the pub while they made our food. In other words, we couldnt place the order by phone and then come down in 15 to get it. We didnt proceed and ordered food elsewhere. I get that the pubs intention is to upsell people drinks while waiting for their takeout food order, but we wanted to eat our meal in our hotel room upstairs. Their silly and misguided policy cost them our food order that night for no discernible reason. Hopefully they change it.

This is always a great atmosphere day or night. The food is off the hook. Fantastic options and a great menu. The service staff are second to none at this establishment. So whether you re looking just to have a bite to eat or dance the night away or catch, the next Jays game, or any big sporting event. Head on down to the sticky wicket. Tell them Dino sent you. Wife had spaghetti, which is not listed here, but was excellent . Wings were meaty but dry. Would be remiss if we did not the exquisite waitress we had, named Emily. She went out of her way to be of assistsnce, with a personality which was genuine and natural. CLONE her.

HUGE SHOUTOUT TO WILL!! We were a group of 25 and we were there to celebrate my birthday. I have never met a waiter as patient as Will. They were such a ball of sunshine and everyone were super happy with their customer service skills. I d totally recommend this venue for any events. Drinks were really good, the price was reasonable AND they accommodated my dietary restrictions. Kudos to the team! Thank you so much for accommodating us

Visiting from Florida, my wife and I had a PHENOMENAL time! Great atmosphere, much bigger inside than it looks on the outside, ample seating and multiple bars. Todd was our server/bartender, what a quality person! We told him where we were visiting from and he gave us a full history of the ins and outs of Victoria. We learned so much about the city because of his hospitality and wealth of knowledge. If you visit, be sure to ask for Todd! We will 100% go back the next time we re in Victoria.

Pretty disappointing. The hostess was very rude and the empress martini is one of the worst martinis Ive ever had. The good was ok but nothing to write home about.

After all that beer and wine ya gotta go somewhere. I had no choice but to go pee in the parking lot across the street. Decent place but if you arent comfortable with peeing in public then you may want to find a different location to spend your money... Itd

Nice place, get some workers with enthusiasm and experience tho.

With their help I organized a dinner for a team of 30 people after a day of racing. Service was excellent. Everyone preordered and food came out quickly and it was hot. Staff are cheerful and helpful. The staff working with us were amazing. Food was very good. The duck wing appetizer was delicious. The rest of the group really enjoyed their food. I would not hesitate to eat there again or to recommend it to anyone.

Staff was nice and place was comfortable but didn t have the T20 World Cup on any of the dozens of tvs downstairs. Seems weird that a place with a cricket theme wouldn t put on the Cricket World Cup.

This place sums up Victoria.... Stuck in the 90s and Im surprised I didnt get bed bugs.

The food was decent but the portion of the butter chicken is tiny. Wouldnt order it again.

While Im not the biggest fan of the vibes of the sticky wicket, Wicket Hall is an incredible music venue. Hats off.

We loved our dinner at The Sticky Wicket. Will was our server, he was prompt and attentive, friendly and outgoing - all of which made for great service. The menu had plenty of options that delighted all of our varying taste buds. The food arrived quickly (but would have been worth a wait). The portions and price were good as well. Thank you for the fabulous food and service, sending us on our way with full bellies so that we could continue enjoying Victoria. If you want a sit down meal with great service that wont eat up all day just to get good food in your families belly, this is the place for you.

AGRESSION AT Sticky Wicket Pub And Restaurant Victoria BC. I have to report an aggression last night from Sticky Wicket, I file a report with the police to the staff for aggression at the place. I was trying to pay my drinks (prove of that I paid for my taxi after the incident) I just needed time to figured out how to pay with my smartwatch, same happened at the entrance I couldn t pay I m not savvy but the staff saw it as too drunk to pay , so the bartender called security, and a Filipino guard without asking me nothing just grabbed me and took me out. On the way out he hurt me I have multiple bruises in the left arm, my hand it s swollen, on the side of my left breast is in pain as well as my left feet. There was no need of doing that, the use of this kind of force, the use of violence was completely unnecessary I was not aggressive. I understand how difficult it s to work in a place like this, I can actually understand the reasoning of they taking me out. What I don t accept is the unnecessary violence. That s why I m coming here, ashamed, hurt, and in one of my most humble moments. They just showed what can be done if you are in a vulnerable position, and as a woman and an immigrant I was expecting a better behaviour with my humanity. This shows that having a bit of power and presumed another person in a vulnerable position will make you believe you are entitled to hurt people like they did physically to my body. when I was outside they send over multiple security guys, to refused my way in. At that point I was just looking for my purse so I could go home, some of the guys from the staff come to me and said they found my friends and there was no fanny bag. When that happened I left I grabbed a cab and paid for it. That was all the explanation I needed. Not the aggression. And yes, I had drinks, but I was perfectly conscious of what was happening. And watching all of them, disrespecting me, and aggressioning me was very scary, at the point I feared for something worse, and believe me completely possible after noticing how they all behaved in that situation. I wonder what more they could do with anyone in a worse situation than mine? My thinking they will totally take advantage of it, and do who knows what to a person in a vulnerable position. I believe what could be done at sticky wicket by their staff, it s extremely dangerous and they need to be exposed. The fact that I was having drinks, does not permit the sticky wicket staff to do this to my body. I shouldn t be treated with violence because you didn t want to deal with me. But because I was in vulnerable position they thought they could hurt me. Probably nothing much will happen about this mostly because the establishment under the statement that I was drunk they are permitted to use force. However in any part of that logic is implied the use of VIOLENCE, as my body can prove it was in this case. Every day, losing more respect, of certain humans people passing by at the entrance, completely unbothered, watching the staff commit violence in front of their eyes, (shocking). To the girl at the entrance, watching her unbothered, seeing them being like that with me, gave me the creeps. As an immigrant I genuinely (I see now, naively) was expecting more of you. And to the Filipino guy who actually commit the act. A women bring you to this world, you should be told the reasoning of your existence and why you should be respectful with everyone more with women, and more with people in vulnerable positions. But that s a conversation you are clearly not prepared to have, just telling you there s a special place in this life or in the other for people like you. I pray for you men.

Oddly eclectic menu with only a few standard pub options. The fish and chips were expertly battered. The Black & Tan was great. Kid-friendliness: Kids are relegated to one, little family section up front.

Upon entering the staff seemed very uninterested. Then the menus were thrown down and you could wait for a waitress who didnt come.... When you got up to leave, you were looked at and nothing was said. Definitely not recommended to go if you like an atmospheric and cozy pub.

The server seemed annoyed and bored with us as soon as we walked into the door. We waited for about 20 minutes for someone to take our drinks order, when that didnt happen we left disappointed. Wouldnt recommend it, we went here because it we heard that it had a good reputation but it doesnt live up to it.

Came in and had to wait for fifteen minutes till somebody spoke to us. They requested to check the ID of my father (he is 63). Then they gave us a table in an empty room and threw the menus on the table and left.... And thats the last we ever saw of them for an hour. We eventually left and they didnt even look at us. Do not recommend it at all.

Had to eat the macaroni and cheese with bacon, cheeseburger in stages. So amazing.

Went to the roof top for a special event. Rented the whole place, 170 people and we played volleyball! It was a blast, service was great! They have corn hole connect four and of course volleyball. Love this place!!!

I used to be here a lot when I used to live in Victoria. I remember that the roof top can be amazing in the summer. I am no longer living in Victoria but visit for work occasionally. We had a work function here today. The food and service was as good as I remembered.

If you want bland food, Go here, we ordered the basil chicken and there was zero flavour, and the dish was $30 on top of that the rice was completely raw. What a waste of money.

I d prefer not to rate at all but Google doesn t provide such option. I m 40+ and my wife is the same age. We don t look like youngsters. So when yesterday we were barred from entering the premise because my wife didn t have an ID on her, we neither understood nor appreciated this stupid and frankly offensive practice.

When I visited Victoria for a trip , I went to this place for a lunch and Tbh the food was perfect ! I ordered fried calamari and fish and chips and it tasted so good ! Both were crispy and perfectly cooked ! The service was perfect also !

We attended a function downstairs and had a great time, went upstairs to order our food and had a great drink while I waited, the bartender was friendly, food came fast and my single rye and ginger ale was perfect! Went downstairs to our private venue and sobered up as they short poured my drinks! The food was good, the venue was excellent but the downstairs bartender served a generous single as a double.

Stopped by for quick dinner appys . Drove by it so many times while visiting Victoria but this time we decided to stop in for a quick bite. I love the old vintage British pub style, the staff was very friendly and the service was quick. We had some chicken wings and the spinach dip was so warm and fresh.

Great local spot whether you re up in the roof or down in the restaurant. Always enjoy the Wicket.

Had a great time here with the family while waiting to go to the theater up the way. Great atmosphere, our server was honest, helpful and had good recommendations and the food came quickly and mostly all together given our party size. Good location and nice place to get out of the rain.

The behavior of the security guards/bouncers was unacceptable. Im grateful that law enforcement intervened and prevented what could have been a disastrous outcome. Its concerning to see that such incidents seem to occur frequently based on previous reviews. Harassing innocent individuals and resorting to chokeholds is simply not acceptable.

There was 6 of us and the guys were visiting and watching golf. They were less than 50% of capacity. After we paid they changed the channel to a Cooking show and it looked like it was intentionally done so we would leave. Their staff is their weakness.

Food and drinks were tasty, well priced, and our server Tiffany was fantastic. Timely with getting our food and drinks, while still giving us space to enjoy the game.

Weve stayed 4 nights at the Strathcona hotel and gone to the Sticky Wicket every day, sometimes twice! The food specials cant be beat and the staff is so friendly I feel like weve built a community while weve been here. Honestly, if I lived here, I think Id go here every day.

Wow, have never seen so many one star reviews. Obviously nothing has improved. Stopped going to the wicket over seven years ago. Place was looking very tired. The steak sandwiches were served with canned mushrooms and then we were lied to and told they were not. NO mistaking the taste of canned mushrooms as I hate them. Being paranoid and asking every customer [even seniors] for ID is ridiculous.

It was so much fun I went there with my boyfriend for his birthday we played cards and I got yummy Cesar salad the server was nice the lemons are yummy Vegetarian options: Yummy salad

Heard a couple people rave about this location while on a trip to Victoria, so my dad & I decided to check it out; Unfortunately, we sat for nearly 20 minutes without anyone asking for our order or even a drink order, so we left. 0/5 stars if I could, truly. Do better sticky wicket.

Stopped by with a group of 12 on a Friday night and we got seats right away! And Rachel was awesome, she had our food and drinks to us in no time!

We LOVED this place. Service was great, food for kids was great (lots of vegetables instead of ships) - we were visiting from Hong Kong (husband is from Victoria) and this was the perfect sunny day lunch spot in the city for our family. We went back and took the whole fam!! This will be our go to place every summer when we visit.

Had the pizza, the tastes exactly like the pre packaged pizza toppings from a grocery store. Definitely a cheap sauce from a bag. Others in my party werent overly impressed with their dishes either. Atmosphere was meh, better to check out a different pub nearby, wish we did.

I am writing this to express my extreme disappointment with the recent Super Bowl halftime Chicken Wing Bonanza event at your establishment. As a loyal customer, I had high expectations for an event advertised as such, but unfortunately, the reality fell far short of what was promised. First and foremost, the term Chicken Wing Bonanza implies an abundant and diverse selection of chicken wings, yet the options provided were severely lacking. Not only were the wings cold, but the limited flavors of salt and pepper and hot wings hardly constituted a bonanza. Where were the classic flavors like barbecue, honey mustard, or garlic parmesan? The absence of variety was truly disheartening. Additionally, a proper chicken wing experience is incomplete without essential accompaniments such as blue cheese dip or ranch dressing. It is baffling that these basic condiments were overlooked, especially considering their ubiquitous presence in any respectable wing-centric establishment. The absence of these dips greatly detracted from the overall enjoyment of the wings and left many patrons feeling unsatisfied. Furthermore, while I appreciate the inclusion of carrots and celery as traditional side offerings, their presence does not compensate for the glaring deficiencies in the main attraction. A true chicken wing bonanza should prioritize quality wings and flavorful options above all else. I urge you to reconsider your definition of a Chicken Wing Bonanza and take concrete steps to improve future events.

We went for a night snack and beer. They have large TV screens playing games. It was not loud. A good environment for a couples date or friends to get together.

Worst experience I have ever had, the tall girl at the desk was super rude. She literally try to threat the white couple and ask them to leave the restro right away otherwise she gonna call security. And the reason behind that was not caring their ID s with them, thats it. Working in the hospitality industry and carrying this attitude. Seriously not expected. 100% not recommended to anybody.

Went to see Hannah Georgas in the Wicket Hall. 1st time there in its current state. Sight lines are interesting. Go early for the best seats. Sweet spot is unfortunately back behind the pillar .

I had a disappointing experience at the Sticky Wicket in Victoria during my vacation. The management seemed disorganized, and the food was subpar for the high prices. Half of the nachos were soggy and some burnt, while the pizza lacked taste. Despite placing a to-go order over the phone, I was informed upon arrival that they dont accept phone orders. The service was slow, with conflicting time estimates, making it an overall frustrating visit. Not recommended.

Came here with my adult family of 6 - ages 30-70 for dinner. We were denied entry as the four of us under 40 were required to show 2 pieces of ID, and the 2 over 40 were required to show 1. My dad is 70 and has to show ID. They were rude about it too.

Ive had a few average experiences here but my latest venture turned terrible. We were there for an hour an 20 minutes and nobody had even talked to us other than front of house to check our ID. No server gave us a second look, we didnt get any drinks or any food even though we had been planning on doing so. (And the server was more interested in watching the hockey game on the t.v than serving the tables before you think that they were busy.) This might be the last time I go because it seems to be progressively getting worse.
