10 Acres Bistro in Victoria

Stopped in on a rainy Saturday and were blown away by the food and hospitality! Best grilled cheese and tomato soup. Cocktail options are outstanding. Looking forward to our next visit!

Two stars because the food was underwhelming given the price points. Considering the number of pasta dishes on the menu, Il Terrazzo is comparable and far better. The pasta with the chicken parmigiana was bland. One person in our party said her chicken was dry. I had the striploin and it was nicely cooked but a weirdly small portion of food compared to everyone else. Why not include more potatoes and salad? Also, $14 mocktails? Seems like a gouge, and the drinks werent anything special; also, they were small. Overall, this place feels too expensive for whats on offer. Friendly staff though.

Thoroughly enjoyed their parm fries and herbal tea. The ambience is great, staff are very welcoming and all the natural plants hanging near the ceiling are beautiful! Would definetly eat here again!

A really nice atmosphere at a really nice location, the service was decent but seemed to be all over the place with a kitchen very backed up at a very slow time of night which I found odd. I also thought that the menus were a little strange with certain promotional meals and options only available on certain days, yet still being advertised as attached to the main menu on a day it wasnt available. I did enjoy the fact that I could book ahead, and I liked the confirmation of my booking as it was prompt. Id like to come here again.

We were a party of 5. We did get our requested quiet corner. Four of us were very happy with our meals but my husband, the one who doesn t like to cause a fuss, told me on our return home that his duck confit was not very good as it tasted like it had been in the freezer too long My husband frequently orders duck confit when we dine out so I am confident that his opinion is valid.

Had the chanterelle dish and cucumber fresh cocktail, very tasty!

My first visit to this restaurant. I will definitely be coming back. The food and service were both excellent! Barb was our server today. Great job!

The esthetic of the bistro is lovely, warm, and welcoming. The food was absolutely outstanding. Had the chicken pot pie- delicious! The service however was very underwhelming and left a lot to be desired. Despite that experience, we will definitely return!

Delicious chefs dishes, from soups, salads, salmon, steaks, desserts are all very delicious, impressive main dishes and side dishes, very attentive and memorable, comfortable dining environment, friendly service attitude, There are good restaurants nearby when staying at the Empress Hotel.

The food was overall good. I had a great burger but the fries were very old school shoe string and overcooked and broke up into very small bits. Need to up their game and use some of the fresh farm produce they boast so much about. My wife had a lamb dish she liked very much. Now .the kicker ..the floor started to move towards the end of our meal. Seriously mice were running about. One customer screamed and had me in fits of laughter. Live entertainment I thought! I pointed the mice out to the manager and he said it s a problem in Victoria. I kinda thought that it was just their problem as we had eaten in many different restaurants over the past week and not had mice to entertain us. Likely won t eat here again until they get the place cleaned up.

Weve been frequent visitors living close to the 10 Acres Bistro and have often recommended it to others, but our recent visit may change that for us. We decided to have a nice dinner to enjoy the evening and chose to have the Caesar salad and the French onion soup as starters and then ordered the lasagne (a dish Ive had repeatedly) and the spaghetti Bolognese. The salad was great! The French onion soup wasnt as cheesy as it should have been (the cheese is a significant factor in this dish) and isnt unreasonable to expect with a $15 bowl of soup. The spaghetti Bolognese wasnt spaghetti at all, it was made with spaghettini (this sounds trivial, but if you like a specific pasta its important) especially at $26 for a small plate. There was no offer of parmesan cheese or anything as would usually be the case when ordering a pasta dish in a nice restaurant. The lasagne was a $30 dish and it was maybe 3.5 x 3.5 inches, it was reheated and overcooked as a result, it also did not contain any bechamel sauce which was what used to make this dish really special. I realize its hard for restaurants and I dont mind paying a fair price but I need to feel like Im getting a quality exchange and it didnt feel like this was the case. I thought about not giving a review and instead just not frequenting the restaurant again, but I think its important to let the owner know so this can be addressed.

Pasta was nice, the Vegan options looked good.

Great farm to table food! I believe most of their food comes from their farm on the island and is organic. They bring kitchen scraps back to the farm for their pigs. We got the clams & muscles, Caesar salad, oysters, parm fries, pork chop & beets. All very delicious. Clams & muscles and Caesar were my favourites.

What a treat to eat. Excellently prepared products at a reasonable price. Padta is freshly made in the morning, served al dente, just like the vegetables. Music is not too loud. Neat service. One point of criticism: when we were assigned a table, before we could sit down, the people behind us were asked how many people they were, so that the attention paid to us diminished. Otherwise great.

I have never experienced such terrible service from this restaurant as I did on Friday night. We made reservations to dine here at 8pm and invited out-of-province guests to join us. We arrived at 7:40pm and were greeted by a very rude waiter named Hari, who turned us away for arriving early. We decided to come back at 8pm, but when we showed up on time, our table still wasn t ready. What s the point of making reservations if the table isn t prepared beforehand? We waited about 40 minutes for our food, and after such a long wait, there was a mistake in my order, causing me to wait even longer. The food was not the best. This establishment provides terrible service, and we will not be returning.

We stopped in for happy hour and ordered humus and pita. My goodness, were they stingy with the humus! We had similar happy hour fair at another place and it was much better.We did love the outside fake fire pit though.

We enjoyed our brunch at 10 Acres. The steak sandwich and grilled cheese and tomato soup were delicious, however the portions were very small. We both left feeling quite hungry. My partner and I are not used to big portions, but we still felt like there could have been more soup or a larger sandwich.

I used here early in the morning. And I sat outside and ate pasta. I actually dont like pasta.Because it was greasy and it didnt suit my taste. But it was delicious here.If youre thinking of pasta, I recommend this place. I was sitting on the left side of the entrance, but the chair space was small

This used to be our absolute favourite place to eat in Victoria. Now, not so much. Went for happy hour last night and found even the happy hour menu and drink selection to be overpriced, and then went back for lunch today - what a total disappointment! Ordered a burger and fries after waiting nearly 15 minutes for the server to take my order, which was delivered another 20 mins later. I could understand the wait if they were crazy busy, but they were not. Over salted, overcooked burger and lukewarm warm, over salted fries, delivered to the table by another server. No one asked how my meal was, or asked if I wanted anything else until nearly 10 minutes after my plate with uneaten food and my napkin folded on it was finally noticed. When I asked for the bill I waited another 5 minutes and actually watched my server take a bowl of water out to the patio for a dog as I continued to sit and be ignored. Finally the hostess was kind enough to bring me my bill and asked how everything was, noticing that I hadn t eaten all my lunch. She was lovely, but about a half hour too late to save the day and turn lunch into a winning experience. Over priced, over cooked, and most decidedly underserved. Spend your money somewhere else.

Absolutely delicious! Gorgeous patio and lovely ambience. Service was wonderful. Would recommend the prawns & bead dish as well as the fish tacos. Will be coming back!

The food was OK, the atmosphere was nice, but our waiter did a poor job. We took our daughter for her birthday dinner. We had been to the restaurant in Summer and sat on the patio, we had excellent food and a good waiter.

Great ambience, indoor and out, and delightful service. The green side salad was excellent, and I appreciate that the bistro sources only local ingredients. However, if I hadnt ordered the salad as well as a large plate, I would have been hungry. My agnolotti dish was more like an appetizer---about four small pieces in the sauce with the confit tomatoes. My friend had the seafood stew, and felt it was incredibly small for the price, with only a couple of bites of halibut. I think pub fare would probably have satisfied me more last night, on a day off counting calories.

We always come for brunch when we come into town. Never disappoints.

Very good restaurant to end our stay on Vancouver Island. Well-cooked meals and local beers. Possible to have a small view of the sea when you are on the terrace. Very pleasant service and quite fast for a Saturday evening. If you are European and you order wines by the glass, remember to make the conversation between ounce and centiliters

We received our drinks and told our waitress we just needed another few minutes with our menus. No one came to check on us in the next half an hour, and when we finally saw our waitress again she seemed to have forgotten about us completely. We paid for our drinks and left for a restaurant with adequate service, will not be back. Shame, we were all really excited to try the food and it was our first time in.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere, as it feels both classy and relaxed. Service was excellent, and the charcuterie & cheese board and the server s wine recommendations were tasty. Would come here again.

Update almost a year later this was our first dining stop when we returned to Victoria! Still amazing. I like the expanded mocktail menu too! This was our favorite place to eat in Victoria, we loved the outside dining by the fire pit which was stroller and pup friendly. We enjoyed the cocktails and food offerings for both lunch and dinner. Service was friendly and helpful on both visits

Great local food, awesome outdoor patio and great locations. Food was wonderful, fresh and well done! Drinks were awesome! Definitely recommending this restaurant for an affordable gastronomic experience! Love it!

All the dishes were so salty that I had a hard time eating them. We ordered steamed mussels, bouillabaisse, chicken pasta, and Caesar salad, all extremely salty. I visited with my family and my father was the only one who ordered alcohol, but it was so salty that it was difficult to eat normally without alcohol. Kid-friendliness: There was no kids menu available at the time of our visit. All the dishes are very salty so I dont think they are suitable for children.

I went here a few days ago and I have to say DONT GO HERE IF YOU ARE HUNGRY! Absolutely terrible portions for the money. I actually left there after spending so much and was still starving. Definitely wouldn t go there again.

I went to this restaurant a couple years ago with my partner and we were absolutely blown away. It was one of the best meals we ever had. We were eager to return but this time we were very disappointed and we will likely not be back. The host took a long time to come greet us even though the restaurant wasnt busy. He then took us to a table that had not been cleaned. I asked if there was something similar on the menu to an item we had last time and the waiter said I dont know, havent worked here long - not great customer service in my opinion. I asked for no onions on my starter and the chef sent word this could not be accommodated. I respect that but offer me something else that I could possible like. Again, poor customer service. I ordered the pork and my partner the duck. The portions were on the small side and both meats were dry! Very disappointing for the price you pay. This used to be a gem of a place. Not sure if they changed management or chef but the quality decreased significantly since our last visit. Overall not a great experience. There are better places to spend your money in Victoria.

I ordered the tomato and mozzarella cheese salad from the special menu. It came with completely burnt and stale focaccia, and the dressing tasted very strange/salty. This seemed the opposite of what they advertise as fresh from the farm and did not feel fresh at all. Additionally, I asked for more soda, but it never arrived. There was only one server on the patio, making it hard to get their attention.

Not a great experience. We went yesterday to celebrate my girlfriends birthday. The menu on the Internet is outdated and with more options than in the restaurant. The attention was poor and completely out of touch, my plate was removed from me even before I finished my last bite. The host and servers seemed to be in a hurry to close our table even though the place wasnt full.

I enjoyed the food here a few years ago. This Farm to table restaurant has really fresh vegetables and really enjoyed the great tasting food. Service was also excellent.

My friends and I tried 10 Acres Bistro today , we went around 7 pm without reservation, But Hari was so quick to make it work and found a table for us with beautiful view. He made sure we are comfortable by checking on us since the weather was windy. definitely going again , Thank you for the great service

We had the Quinoa Bowl with Salmon and Lunch Salad with Salmon and two orders of the Carrot cake. The Carrot cake was the best I have ever had!!! We enjoyed everything. Great service too.

The food is a bit expensive and not justified for the price, but the service is great. They have a great outdoor patio. The covered and heated patio is great for when its a bit chilly out

Tourist trap - Always has been. Very small portions of average at best food that is way over priced for what you get. We all left hungry and feeling underwhelmed to say the least. Service was also non-existent to the point our whole section was looking around for her wherever she went. This place would have closed long ago if it wasnt for the cruise ships dropping off an endless supply of 1 time customers. Save yourself and your wallet and try anywhere else.

Nice atmosphere, friendly server. Extremely small portions for the price. My 25 dollar raviolis was delicious, but meager. It could have been redeemed by having less time under the heat lamp in the kitchen. The butternut sauce was dried to the plate, so the flavor was lost. It was a disappointing meal, to be honest.

We went for dinner last night with our nearly 2 year old gal. We didn t have a reservation and there were a fair amount of people. We got a table within 5 minutes, and were impressed with how quick the service was. The food was wonderful and the staff were attentive and caring. It was a special evening for us, we thank you !

Felt like we were asking for extra work to be done when we asked the host for a table for two for lunch. The waitress was slow wandering around instead of taking our order. After we ordered and waited a while, another waitress saw we didnt have our food and went to get it from the kitchen. The food was good but service lacked a lot.

I m the kinda guy that doesn t like cooking at home, weekly I spend roughly $1000-$1700 on eating out and to me (being a business owner) you should do everything possible to keep your clients happy! Even if that means cooking an item that s not available intill after happy hour (15 mins away), I didn t want any of the items of food on happy hour as they are all snacks and I was too hungry for just a snack I guess somewhere else can have my money cuz offering to pay extra for the item wasn t good enough!

This place is wonderful. I have had the lasagna and my wife had the salmon. Both were done superbly well. We would definitely go there again if we come back to this part of the world.

No hostess to seat anyone at 7:30/8pm for dinner. Other people gave up and we got lucky eventually. Big menu but many things were not available. Unlike the cute decor, the food presentation was lacking, the beet salad which looked unappetizing was surprisingly well balanced and interesting. Same with the potatoes gratin in Gruyère sauce. Bouillabaisse and spaghetti rather salty; whereas vegetarian anglonitti (sp?) was too little to be filling. Overall nice place for atmosphere but could work on details, especially at this price point.

Nice physical place but well overpriced for what is served. Dinner should come with more than 2 bites of kale. Service was slow but friendly. Wouldnt go back and wouldnt recommend.

Was in town for just four hours, was walking around downtown at 9 at night and happened upon this place. Everything about it was amazing! True farm to table. Down to the beautiful fresh flowers on the table. Had the charcuterie, clams, hot fried chicken and Gruyère gratin fries. Menu seems to change regularly. Visit often!

We had an amazing meal here at the 10 acres bistro. Wonderful charcuterie board with cheese, pate, olives, pickles, meats, bread, crostini and candied nuts followed by a mouth-watering duck confit. Cocktails were great too. Two small things I didn t like were both related to the reservation process: first is that they have a very antiquated reservation process where you fill out a form on their website and then wait to hear back if they have that time available, see screenshot. It seems much more convenient for everyone to just show the real time reservation availability like a system like OpenTable does. Second is that when we arrived we did have to wait 10 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. Otherwise a great meal with friendly service and reasonable prices.

Very nice open air vibe. Great service and great seasonal food. Grown and prepared in a way that honors the environment. We split the meat & cheese board and some wine for lunch. A very pleasant place to recharge when hiking around town...well be back.

I went this past Sunday which was Mother s Day, the host said hello and i sat myself with my daughter who had made the reservation for us. No one acknowledged to us or anyone in earshot a happy mothers day, ok fine then as we ordered our breakfast our drink and server with green nail polish red hair was very nice. When our avocado toast breakfast arrived rather fast, I noticed a large chip on my plate but said nothing as I did not want to embarrass my daughter who made the reservation . The bacon was very chewy back bacon and too much arugula to hide everything , the eggs were great tho. I work in fine dining/hospitality for many years. Would I recommend this bistro? Probably not. My daughter could have spent that money elsewhere. And the Kitchen, Shame On You for allowing a chipped plate to be served out of Your kitchen!,,, you should all have said happy mother s day including servers bus people and runners including hosts money wasted!,,,,

Had a very pleasant evening there with my family. The steak was great, the dark chocolate cake was not perfect but overall a great experience!

Was debating on wether or not to write this review but everytime I think of my visit here last week it bothers me, I ordered the cesar salad and it hardly had any dressing on it and I ordered the natchos and there was hardly any cheese, I was hoping the high prices was because of good quality but it was very lacking, the service was super slow I thought they were short staffed but the guy told us they wernt. I really cant recomend this place to anyone!

The stuffed pasta ($26) was absolutely phenomenal tasting, but quite small. We loved the farm to table, we will try again. To have a good time, just be aware this is a place where you should get a salad to share or appetizer AND an entree each. We wish the server would have recommended that. Also we were in the back and there were stretches when we were not checked in with, but its possible it was an off night.

We felt forgotten after we were given our drinks. I believe this feeling was validated as our hot dish was delivered as a cool in temperature meal. Very loud atmosphere.

The service was painfully awful, with staff standing around. We waited a minimum 30 mins after being seated to catch an employees eye to order a drink and water, then was told by the one person who looked our way that she wasnt our server but will get them for us, which took another 15 minutes. Wait time to get service to: order our drinks, our meal, then to ask AND to get our bill.. was so very long. Wont return, not worth it. Staff need education they were hired to provide service, not just wear the apron.

Wow place to hung out. Food can be more better. But the energy & atmosphere fantastic. Service at its best.

A nice cozy spot to grab some hearty farm-fresh food. The place is neat, airy and very spacious. It feels like summer even on the rainiest day. The onion soup we ordered took some time but it was worth the wait. The tacos were scrumptious too.

I ate here for Lunch and ordered the Salmon. The cookery on the salmon was perfect for my tastes - medium, extremely well seasoned, and the skin was crispy. Attention to detail in the kitchen stood out. After a twelve hour workday (traveling for work) I returned for dinner as it was located 30 seconds from my hotel. Dinner was equally good, with a strong showing from their Carpaccio and beet starter dishes. I would highly recommend this restaurant for the sheer quality of the cookery. I have a severe gluten allergy and their menu was accommodating.

Two meals by groups of four a few days apart. Brunch was splendid, excellent service, delicious meals and an enjoyable experience. Dinner was disappointing, a limited menu, mediocre and confusing service and a bit chilly without heaters on. Generally positive reaction to the food at dinner but especially not happy with the dessert offererings - all cheesecakes and not delicious. And where was the crème caramel highlighted on the website and in many reviews. The rating is a balance of 5 for brunch and 3 for dinner.

Pleasant time. Pleasant staff. Food was good. Not spectacular but good. Dinner was a little pricey. We will come again for lunch to try a few more menu items. And Mon -Thur they have a dinner for 2 special we want to give a whirl.

This is a nice farm to market restaurant. I would say it has a cafe feel and atmosphere, but the menu is big and there are tons of drink options. The food is pretty good and the drinks are ok. While you re getting quality food, you re also paying for it. Seemed a little pricey, but if you know what you re getting before you go, you should be fine. The place is cute and has a nice layout. We sat outside and it was nice. The service was a little slower than we expected, but I m guessing it was a staffing shortage. Overall a good farm to table restaurant.

I had a great comfort food mea l on a very rainy day. Grilled cheese and soup. It was delicious.

This is a great spot and one of our favourites when visiting Victoria. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Our server was attentive without being intrusive and had a good knowledge of the menu. We shared a caeser salad which was crisp and delicious. Our entrees were half chicken which was super flavourful and baked lasagne, recommended by our server as her favourite item on the menu. Our table was against the outside patio glass and it was a cold evening so we felt a draft coming through. When we mentioned this our server had the overhead heaters turned on and it soon became comfortable. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant and plan to visit again.

We started with the charcuterie board. All the selections were fresh. The pate is made in place and was excellent. The rest of the board had tastes that were very complimentary and just whetted the appetite. My partner had the strip loin steak, and it was cooked to his tastes. I had the duck comfit and it was crispy and fork tender, a delight for the taste buds. It was accompanied by white beans, and their mild taste cleared the palette between bites of the duck. My partner had the cheesecake for dessert and raved about it. We split a bottle of New Zealand savignone blanc, and it complemented the dinner very nicely. Our server was very attentive and enjoyed talking with us about the food and the wine. The room we were sitting in was initially fairly noisy but as the evening progressed, the noise level decreased, and it was very enjoyable. The menu is limited but the choices are well made and presented. We have been here several times and do enjoy the ambiance and the food. Service each time we have been here has been very attentive and the food quality has been consistent. We will be back.

I ve been coming here for the last 10 years + And Ive taken different people here over the years, always recommending it! I recently had a baby and sadly discovered when we arrived today that they have ZERO highchairs to provide , yet they have booster seats? How ridiculous If you don t want kids in establishment, state it on your website- better yet, if you re offering boosters get a couple high chairs. If space is an issue, there are quite a few slender options (where tighter spaced establishments even offer). This is incredibly disappointing.. Definitely changes things

Really dissapointed with the food here. Im a horrible cook and it was something I could ve made. The pastas (ragu and spaghetti) were super didsaponting and mid. You would expect better with the price point. Come for the vibes, not the food.

Short story: Went there and spent 40$ on two drinks and left dissatisfied. Long story: We sat for awhile before being asked if we had been helped, by seemingly the only server in the back section. (If you didn t help us, idk who else would haha) My partner wanted to do the dine around but I wasn t interested in a big meal so had the regular menu, but we were informed if one person at the table wanted the dine around then I d have to get it as well. There was also add ons to the dine around, which my partner had said that it s a fixed price everywhere which was the point, where as dine around in other establishments didn t. I understand that , if salmon cost more then making a smaller portion to fit a random menu might not be cost effective, but other establishments don t have price add ones. Something to note. But we never got to that point, the vegetarian options seemed lacking and we were only given a single menu to pass back and forth to figure out what we wanted. We started with two drinks, I asked for a rum and coke and got a rum and Pepsi and with the long waits and the expensive menus and the lack of service we at that point, decided to tap out. I paid for the drinks we left, went to craft, was greeted, seated, served right away. Spent almost the same amount on dinner and 4 drinks as we did here. I ll extend an olive branch and say maybe that server was swamped and maybe as a bistro, vegetarian options are not their specialty, and maybe we just got off on the wrong foot by waiting for as long as we did while staff walked by us the whole time. Fun side bar Pepsi is not Coke. No one has ever asked for a rum and pepsi. Tell people if you don t have coke. Either your a fancy restaurant that charges obscene prices for mediocre things. Or your a bar that doesn t care about finer details. You can t be both. Vegetarian options: Lacking.

Great food! Had the Dine Around Victoria meal, broccolini was crispy and tasty on top of a delicious peanut sauce. The pasta was al dante (which is actually under cooked pasta! I tried pasta throughout Italy and it was always cooked soft like when I boil it for extended amounts of time), but had a great tasting sauce, salmon was fresh and really well pan fried and flavored, dessert wasnt too sweet and the whole meal was satisfying. To be fully transparent, the reason for the 1 star deduction is due to brown guacamole and having onions in my burger when I had requested it without, not a big deal but its reflected in the rating. The burger and fish tacos were delicious still! So really it would be 4.5 stars if the system allowed. Despite that small deduction, this place is great food, service, price and atmosphere! I would highly recommend it to everyone looking for good eats! Wheelchair accessibility: Has a ramp for a wheel chair.

What a treat! Farm to table offerings that are moutheatering and freshly made. I had the pasta vongole & my (picky) partner had the mussels & clams in white wine sauce. Both dishes were superb. The server was very attentive, explaining the fundamentals of the menu. We learned that the pasta is made daily in-house. Fun atmosphere, great service, and a casual fine dining experience. Highly recommended.

Great service, but plating was extremely underwhelming. A tin square plate was put in front of me. It spun as I ate, and slipped around on the table. Loose the tin plates, it brings a red neck feel I did not expect.

This is a cute place, we were alone in the bar area at lunch, so we were a bit forgotten, but thats ok. They were very friendly. The steak sandwich is open faced and is quite tasty.

Absolutely delicious and I am hard to please! The fish, steak, chicken, veggies . All are outstanding. I keep going back. Vegetarian options: Roasted veggies are scrumptious!

Slow service, diet coke was $4.50 and didnt get refilled once. $10.50 to add a a chicken breast to a caesar salad is laughable.

Waited ages for service and was basically ignored for the duration of my stay. Food didnt qualify lack of service.

Quick business lunch. A delicious patato salad with Arugula, cucumber, celery in a yum sauce, accompanied by salmon. The salad was the star.

Airy dining space with a seasonally appropriate menu. Great service - friendly and informed. Good menu with many specials. My Farm Salad had a lemony hummus, perfectly cooked beets and firm lentils, with startlingly red but delicious onion on top. Very tasty and a perfect portion size. I also tried the spaghetti Bolognese, pasta was perfect and came with a generous portion of sauce. Lovely meal, well done 10 Acres!

Our server took 17 minutes to recognize that we were there. They served 4 tables that were sat after us, which didn t feel great. Our bill was $100 for two mains, a mock tail and a cocktail. Probably won t be coming back for a while. This used to be our favourite go to place for dinner in Victoria.

Excellent. Somewhat simple menu, but excellent quality result.

Be sure to try it. Everything great. The lasagna was wonderful, The caesar salad and fries were so tasty but just a little salty. Thank you to the service and kitchen team also management team.

I came here with friends as out-of-towners. After ordering, we ended up waiting an hour for our mains, which the waiter explained was due to a kitchen issue. Once we got our mains, my friend who got the seafood pasta reported that the pasta was weirdly hard?? I got the spaghetti bolognese myself which was fine. Overall, a mixed dining experience. Good ambiance and friendly waitstaff, but if a restaurant makes me wait for my main to the point where I have to inquire about it, Im not coming back.

Some of the best mussels Ive had! Dipped those fries and some crusty bread into the sauce at the end. Amazing.

Had such a lovely time at this restaurant. Food was DELICIOUS and service was great. Reserve in advance to skip the line. Will be back!

Went to 10 Acres last night. From the moment we sat down, service was not favourable towards us. We waited 10 minutes for a server. I typically give them the benefit of the doubt when its chaotic but from watching the interactions from customers it seemed as if the staff were avoiding customers. When we received service it was great because we put both our food and drink orders in. Food came in perfect timing. A little overpriced for the charcuterie board but thats typical in this industry but we were irritated when we were charged extra for asking for a little bit more bread. Trying to get the bill was a pain and one of the waitresses was not very nice. Despite the service, food and atmosphere were great and I would recommend this place. Although I am not inclined to come back if the attitude of the wait staff remains consistent. Even through all that we tipped 20% because its unfair to take it out on all of the staffs tips.

Employees health benefits charged to patrons?? Cmon... The audacity and complete lack of judgement is astonishing.

The only reason for the one star is from the owners greed, why would you charge the consumer for employees benefits. They should be from the revenue you take in not an extra charge on us.

The gnocchi I had at 10 Acres Bistro was the best Ive ever tasted. I had high expectations going into this gastropub, and the place exceeded my hopes in every way. Service was tremendously good, successfully avoiding all of my pet peeves and minor peeves as well, which, in all honesty, isnt easy. At this location there are several dining spaces with different vibes, all which seem quite nice depending on your mood. I promised myself I would return for another meal, including the NY Cheesecake with fresh berry coulis for dessert. Dietary restrictions: Servers will be happy to help you with any dietary restrictions.

Found this gem as a recommendation on IG reels and glad I took it. The place was warm and cozy, it had three different themes of seating to choose from. Loved the food, the servers were polite and warm. BEST FISH AND CHIPS EVER. It literally melts in your mouth. Overall had a great experience. Loved the ambiance and atmosphere of the place.

My experience eating here has been unsatisfactory to say the least. We came in here with a party of 8 around 5:30 and didn t get our food served till 7:30. The wait was way too long in my humble opinion. On that note, the food we had was forgettable. While the Bistro makes money on the fact that their food is fresh and from their farm, if you are coming here for a tasty upscale dinner, this is not the spot. We had the burger, mussels, and squid salad. The burger was overly salty and definitely not a burger I would have again, especially at 24$. The squid salad was poorly thought out, it had the ingredients of mandarin oranges, arugula, squid, and celery. Personally, all ingredients that I could make with the exception of squid in my own home. No special sauce was on that salad, very bland tasting and again, forgettable. Lastly, the mussels were definitely the most memorable meal and tasty. It was priced at around 30$ and you do get a good amount for what it is. Definitely not one of the best mussel dishes i had but it was good. All in all, a restaurant that gets such high reviews does an awful job of serving actual food that is special and delicious. At this price point, just go to Cactus.

Very dissatisfied with the experience. CAREFUL! If you have heart problems...after just trying the food here, you will go to the emergency room to the hospital. CAREFUL! If you are a person who suffers from the cold, here you will be eating frozen food and you will go home with sore throat. I ordered steak and despite the high price that this dish had and the fact that it was a minimal portion of meat, it was difficult for me to find the meat there because more than half the plate was vegetables, the meat had a bad taste and the potatoes that accompanied this dish seemed that had an entire salt shaker overturned on top of it. I mentioned this to the waitress and she just said oh! Im sorry, but I didnt get even a minimum discount. We also ordered a hamburger, the meat was more salt than meat, we asked for the hamburger to be changed and they brought the meat without the potatoes that accompanied this dish and the meat was just...just meat without any seasoning, meat like it was bought in the supermarket and put to cook. All this without counting the 40 minutes waiting on the street to have a table, plus another 30 minutes for the food to arrive at the table. I do not recommend this place and we will not return here either!

This was one of the best dinners I ve ever had. The broccolini was absolutely addictive, and the spaghetti bolognese and butternut squash agnolotti was on par with some of the best pasta dishes I ve had, and that includes in Italy. I will most definitely be back!

Everything was so delicious! We made sure to get a reservation for a Saturday night, and Im so glad we did.

Just to save you from reading all the details, we saw several mice running around the dining room. I went here for dinner last Saturday. We were a group of four and were seated inside in the dining room. The service was good. We enjoyed our meals for the most part, except my friend ordered the duck but it was too salty to finish. Once we finished eating, we started to notice mice running around the dining room. Not just one, but several. It was really unsettling considering we just finished our meals. We mentioned it to a server who just laughed it off and said it was normal! We definitely won t be going back. I emailed the restaurant to let them know of the issue and it s been almost a week with no response. I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt before leaving a public review, but they obviously don t care and must not be concerned with cleanliness. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Good Flatbread and Farm salad, husband had Humboldt Squid- he said good.

Service was average - food was really disappointing - less than average steak and unpalatable chicken Florentine pasta - so salty - no one checked in us, no one asked if our food was nice - not even at checkout. Chef screaming at his team like he was at a NY restaurant (don t agree with that either) and waited for ages for service at any time - even trying to leave. Don t get me started on the farm to Table scam - chicken was clearly Sysco processed standard - no local stuff there, trust me. We do not recommend. Way too many better options in Victoria. Don t waste your money.

We heard it was hit and miss, and they missed for sure. We expected way more, super salty food, low quality meat. The service was even worse. Pick it up guys, you had a good reputation at one time, something has changed. We will try again as we always do, hope our experience is better next time.

The steak it s not the best of the city but is fine. There is plenty other great options on the menu. Overall the food is good and high quality. I ll definitely recommend it. Great place for a casual diner.
