Absolutely incredible, I'm out of words, At first you might expect just a sandwich... false... Surely God has blessed you and given you this incredible gift to make such exquisite grilled cheese sandwiches. Due to my current enrollment, I don't find myself in Victoria often but after such a finely made sandwich such as this, I plan to only eat here whenever I am in town. The sandwich itself was grilled to perfection, not greasy, and made my day to see that grilled cheese can be this good. If my stomach could talk it would still be talking about how good it was. Keep up the good work at this fine establishment and may God bless you in your employment and life every day and in every moment. God bless you
Tried this place for the first time, have a serious ongoing love affair with grilled cheese and this was a must-try. Staff were super friendly first off. My standard rule for a first-time visit is always try the basics, so I ordered the plain grilled cheese and tomato soup, found it was reasonably priced and quickly prepared. First impressions; soup was excellent - nice zing and tasted like it was freshly prepared. Grilled cheese was ok; smaller than I expected, pressed a bit thin and only sort of crunchy, when I was expecting/hoping for a big, fluffy, crusty treat; in retrospect, should have shelled out the extra dollar for Texas toast. That said, it tasted good and I'm looking forward to trying some of the more fancy sandwiches. Great job 👍
I really wanted to like this place. I read reviews and tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. It really needs a revamp and sad to see the owner is still just posting generic responses. My sandwich wasn't bad... But the jump from 4.5 dollars to 9 dollars for a piece of bacon is questionable. Additional 2 dollars more for sourdough. That's an expensive sandwich. We also had tomato soup to go with it, but it was gross - definitely out of a can and cold. All in all a 30 dollar experience that certainly was nowhere near that. There were no serviettes to clean ourselves with and after fishing around, some were eventually found. Staff were friendly and polite - no issues there. My advice: reduce prices and make an effort - it'll pay off.
So many grilled cheese to choose from! We ordered a 4 cheese and Mediterranean...both where super yummy. I would definitely go back! Service was good. Looked clean and well kept. Also, grilled cheese!!!! what more do you need?
This is the first negative review I have ever written (go ahead and check my post history), but with the way I was just treated by the OWNER I feel like something needs to be said. Judging by the other reviews he really needs to fix his attitude. I ordered through Ubereats tonight and got a 4 cheese sandwich with added basil pesto spread, mozzarella sticks and a drink. Order was delivered fine and the bag contained all three items. The problem was the chef clearly made me the wrong sandwich, as it was a child's size sandwich and it had no extra basil pesto spread. So I called the restaurant in a very calm manner and told them I must have gotten the wrong sandwich because this one has to be around 3" x 3" (this was a guesstimate...I measured after and it was 3" x 4.2"). The person who answered the phone (who I later found out was the owner) laughed at me and said that's impossible because that is smaller than my hand. So I said it's also missing the extra spread so it must be the wrong sandwich and he says in the most condescending way, "nope the chef said he put it on, so that's impossible." At this point I was annoyed and said so you are telling me I'm making this up? He laughed it off and said contact Ubereats and hung up the phone. Next I messaged the restaurant on FB asking to speak with the owner, and that's where things got even worse. He lied in his responses on FB messenger (everything he said about me being rude, and saying the order was $30 was a straight up lie) and after I told him that is no way to handle a customer service issue he offered me a free sandwich (yeah right I will never be back). In the end this really isn't a big deal and Ubereats refunded my meal, which they shouldn't have had to because it was the restaurants mistake. My advice for the owner is never treat your customers like this. There is no reason for me to lie about my sandwich missing the extra spread. What could have been an easy fix turned into a huge ordeal that has seriously made me angry. Next time just own up to your mistake. I am even attaching photos of the kids size sandwich with NO basil pesto spread, and his FB responses making me seem like the issue. Edit: per your updated response, you really don't get it. It's sad to see a business owner who can't understand simple customer service and how to treat a customer. The fact that you won't admit to being rude to me (literally laughing at me on the phone and hanging up) that you either gave me the wrong sandwich or forgot the spread is quite sad. Did you look at the photo of the sandwich? There is no spread. Own up to your mistakes and quit playing the victim. At this point if ur going to continue to be arrogant and make up lies to help yourself feel better just stop responding to my review. A simple apology for making a mistake and I literally would have deleted all of my reviews.
If you like grilled cheese sammiches, these guys got what you want. Ignore the poor reviews; these guys are exactly what they claim to be, and it's not exactly expensive regardless. I'd go here again.
We came once so far. Tried 3 different sammies and they were all super tasty and creative. Some greasier then others but overall if you want a good grilled cheese this is a good spot. Very limited seating however so be prepared to take it to go and walk around downtown while chowing down. Will go again to check out a few more varieties.
One of the best local food restaurants that I have been to in a long time. Super friendly staff an always a great atmosphere. They really make you feel like your more then just some customer. And while you wait for your food to be prepared they have a old-school Nintendo in the back to get your retro game on. Josh's tots rule
The owner of this establishment now runs a oatmeal food cart . Beware that the owner has a long history of incarnation and violence towards women. Hes posted all over bad date pages by many different women all with similar stores of violence, manipulation and abuse at the hands of this man. He is a preditor and targets very young and vulnerable women. Do not support his bussiness.
Order my sandwich and recieved the wrong kind, and the OWNER got in my face and told me I was wrong with an rude tone. Then when I got my new sandwich and they half cooked it and tried to charge me for BOTH!

What a rip off. The sandwiches are so small its a joke. The soup was pretty bad and the owner seemed like one of them power trippy narcissists. Just look at the bad reviews and his pompous replies. I will not be going back to this place ever and nor should anyone reading this.
The variety here is unmatched - making you rethink what a grilled cheese sandwich can be. Employees here are super friendly, and super passionate about the food they make and the people they serve to. Can t recommend this place enough.

Prices are bit much for something you could make at home, also the owner is known to be agressive and threatening. There are plenty of better business worth supporting here in this beautiful city.

The food at this place was horrible, and expensive. looking at the other reviews it looks like the page manager has a habit of making pathetic responses for his own short comings. Seriously, how can you not look at the number of people who hate your restaurant and not realize that you re the problem?
I ordered off of uber eats late at night while staying in Victoria and honestly love this place and wish they were in Vancouver! Grilled cheese was sooo good and I love how they have the option of adding crumbled Doritos. Also got a cute little thank you note on the bag!!! Super impressed.

Absolutely unreal. Best grilled cheese I ve ever had. I will go back again and again. ten out of ten would eat again and again and again and again and recommend to a friend. I used to like grilled cheese. It was decent. then I came here and learned what it meant to LOVE grilled cheese.

the place is closed down?? tried to order off doordash and my order got cancelled saying that the restaurant was closed. i placed my order around 6pm on a tuesday. we then went into town the next day (wednesday) around 4:30pm and they were closed again. the hours are wrong on google as well, different hours are posted out front.
Absolutely mega. My taste buds were just psychedelic after that experience. Never a let down. If you want to eat something 11/10.... eat here.

Just ordered off skip! Cheese bites were still super hot and cheesy and food was very good quality!! The ruben sandwich could use more Sauerkraut but it was worth it anyway!
This place gave me diarrhea for 2 days. Edit from owners response.... It was about 2 weeks ago. We did call and spoke to an employee called Michael who was rude and demanded we take a photo of the diarrhea to show that I actually had it. It was very odd.............

Food ever arrived. Never got a response. Luckily it wasnt my money. Went to the liquor store and got a hotel room instead. Woke up under a bridge near the gorge with rips in my clothes and my shoelaces tied together. Not saying the two are related. But I really dont know. I was hungry though because of the food not arriving.

Its a beautiful setting on how many different kinds of grilled cheese and the peole whom work there are awesome its a clean family restarunant theres games and colouring books for the kids , great home cooked meals

STAY AWAY. They will sell you sandwiches in bread half the size of normal bread. You need to eat like 10 to feel full lmfao. Even uber eats thought they ripped me off and gave me my money back for how small the stuff is. This place is seriously a JOKE. The owner went as far as to call me a liar thru his personal Facebook. Horribly unprofessional and not worth it.

Edit: @Owner - Youre right, except after seeing that I didnt receive it as a separate item, I opened up the sandwich and checked if maybe its part of the sandwich but I couldnt find it there either. Nor could I taste the jalapenos. Anyhoo, I ordered again properly and this time, all was well. So updating my rating! Old review: Ordered food here through ubereats and while the soup and sandwich were truly great, they missed out the jalapeno poppers which was also in the order (UE was quick to refund, so no harm done). Took pains to write a thank you note with the correct spelling of my longish name though, points for that

Grilled cheese is one of the easiest things to make at home. Why go somewhere and pay when you can do it yourself? That question is is answered when you look at the sheer number of options that Grilled Cheese Please has on their menu. You can create your own sandwich or go for a pre-made grilled cheese or melt. The only downside is the seating as there isnt alot of space to stay and eat. The cooks are friendly and happy to answer any questions or talk. Go in and enjoy. Please. Grilled cheese please.

We ordered 3 sandwhiches, soup, and tots off Uber Eats. The entire order was $40, and realistically we shouldve paid $5 at most for the meal. The sandwiches were so friggin TINY, we got more tots than sandwich and the tots tasted kinda old and not at all crispy. For the tomato soup, it wasnt bad, but it wasnt really good either. Tomato soup is not hard to make delicious, but somehow they got this wrong too. I am very displeased and will definitely not be buying from here again.
Totally great hole-in-the-wall. I had a spicy El Diablo that they toned down a bit so that I could get an idea of what theyd consider hot to be. Great sandwich! Rest of family loved theirs.

I ordered online here for my family and I but one of us didnt even get our meal¡ So they ripped me off for $20. Good job ...what we did get was not good.my hubby didnt even like his grilled cheese. Dont waste your money.
Went there for a quick eat around 8.30pm. sandwich was good definitly a creative place never thought you can do alot with a simple cheese sandwich. Guy working the evening shift was pretty chill and friendly.

The two best foods are bread and cheese, so this place wins automatically for that. I started with the classic, and it was everything a grilled cheese sandwich should be. The tomato soup was great too, and the prices are very reasonable. I hope to be back soon!

Finally made it down town to this amazing little place. Warm and welcoming staff. and an equally amazing menu. I had a brie and pear, apple,pineapple grilled cheese. Very tasty. ))))
