Serving crafty cocktails and delicious comfort-food favourites to Victoria! Open 7 days a week! Plus open late for late-night drinks, eats and solid tunes.!🍹🍔 🎶
Came from the Lower Mainland to this wonderful place to get my favorite Thai noodles, and my boyfriend had his mac and cheese. The food is alright; the Thai noodles I ate were a little hard. Tastes are okay. Excellent service. Was greeted with a friendly staff, the food was coming fast, and the restaurant atmosphere was cozy.
edit: if you’re going to add an email for a follow up conversation, at least have the decency to answer instead of pretending like you care on here 🫠 Do not order takeout from here, portions have changed and are minuscule, yet prices are so high it feels outrageous. I ordered a soup with side bread (it was burnt) and the soup was so tiny with barely any vegetables in it yet that combo cost me 16$. On top of that, the kale ceasar salad was meagre compared to the one served in house -- the takeout bowl it came in was barely filled to the middle. 1/3 of salad for 17.75$. I understand the never ending cost of running a restaurant and especially sourcing ingredients that follow Meet's values but this was insulting.
thank you to the team working Monday evening, we asked in the delivery notes if they could write our names to differentiate between the similar burgers, and I also wrote my friend loves and a pun and they delivered!! made my day! love the customer service ❤️ and the food was incredible!
We came for happy hour. It’s super nice that they have happy hour specials. The space was nice and clean. We liked the tacos. The noodles were good though quite heavy, same for the poutine. The service was really poor. The place was practically empty and we were seated quickly. The server rushed off and I had to stop him to ask about the happy hour. We were unable to order for a while because he was nowhere to be found. He didn’t really come by to check on us or refill the waters (except once, despite them being empty most of the time—the water cups are small). We got his attention after a while to ask for boxes and a bill, and he brought us boxes but no bill. We had to wait in line to get the bill at the front and pay, which took a while since folks were waiting for someone to help them. The food is okay, but the service could use work. It’s nice to see a new vegan restaurant in Victoria, so I hope they improve with time. Edit: Updating to 4 stars for fantastic after-review outreach and service.
A fun dining experience for people who enjoy meat alternatives. A friend and I stopped by and I gotta say the food was definitely delicious. Service was a bit slow but server was friendly. Definitely recommend the in house sodas!
Stopped by for a quick bite during our trip to Victoria and found the place to be impressively spacious and well-designed, boasting a modern aesthetic. They offer a wide range of options catering to diverse tastes, and we opted for the classic burger and Korean fried chicken. While the burger was satisfactory, it fell short of the juiciness I anticipated. However, the fries and dips were enjoyable. The Korean fried chicken lacked the expected punch, but the in-house sodas we ordered were delightful. Service was efficient, with courteous staff attending to our needs promptly. Overall, it was a decent experience.
I love Meet on Main, so naturally, i should love Meet on Blanchard, which i do. But my first visit was less than stellar. It was during the opening phase, so well, i let that one slide. You know all new staff for a new restaurant, you've gotta wait a bit for them to work out the kinks. I've been back for dinner and brunch a bunch more times, and I've had amazing experiences. The atmosphere is really nice and relaxed. Food is really great as well, lots on the menu, obviously all vegan, diverse comfort food menu. Service has always been great as well. Love the pink painted duct work.
Fantastic restaurant! Ordered delivery, takeout, and dined in here for brunch, lunch and dinner. Good food and friendly service for all of my visits. Highly recommend for vegans and non-vegans alike!
Really hoping they expand and open a location in Toronto, such a great concept for a restaurant. Super impressive flavors and textures.
Dietary restrictions: Fully vegan, with gluten free options Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible Food : 5/5 |
Food is lower because while super yummy sat a little funny and wasnt very filling all things considered. The drinks tho where great and Im very happy they accommodated us for our staff lunch. Thanks from Costa Verdes Gardening crew!
Food was below average and the waffle was hard and stale. I d be willing to try it again. UPDATE: my initial review was a 2 star. But had a great experience tonight. Good service and food. Younger gentleman server made our night. Thanks Food
Such a great quirky lively fun place! Great artwork on display. Always feels welcoming and friendly
Update: Just had another family visit to this restaurant. We all loved our food (rating the meals from B+ to A+). And our server was amazing. Kholby merits an A+! Previous text: After 4 visits, MeeT has become my favourite restaurant in Victoria. Itll be a long time before Im able to try all the yummy dishes on their menu! Theyve also been patient and courteous in helping me set up a large private gathering in their side room.
MeeT on Blanshard is delicious and we keep coming back! Highly recommend for the food but the service is also extremely friendly and personable. This is one of the main spots in our rotation.
delicious vegan calamari , hot ginger drink and carrot cake with vegan icing
I normally wouldn t even consider a vegan place. But I got convinced to go and I was very pleasantly surprised.
this restrant is so darn slow and burning food
Overall I really enjoy getting a bite to eat at Meet. It would be great if there were kids sized options though. I hope you will take into consideration a kids menu for all of us families with younger children.
Dietary restrictions: All vegan but wayyy better than non vegan!! Food
Ordered delivery - steak tacos and ginger beef. Food was excellent. A little disconcerting at first because I thought I was eating beef. But then I confirmed I had ordered from a vegan restaurant.
Super friendly service from someone I wished I had asked to be my friend! We came in right before heading out for a photoshoot with our dog (If youre seeing this, we should be friends!) The Rice Bowl I had was great, I just wish it was more flavourful. Tons of vegan options I love their beyond meet burger, my partner loved their Mac and cheese with buffalo cauliflower wings. For context: weve been to meet a few times (various locations). Parking was good and we found a spot quickly! Vegetarian options: The restaurant is vegetarian so there are TONS! Dietary restrictions: Tons of Vegan options and can make GF substitutes
Love the atmosphere, staff are attentive and service oriented. Food is delicious and they constantly seek feedback. I love that everything is vegan and I can just order for once and not have to ask a million questions based on my diet. Been multiple times and will absolutely be back! Vegetarian options: Vegan
Two old wrinklies driving around for something to eat, and saw the big Meet sign, so we thought we d give it a try. The decor was dated, the music was our vintage (70s), and noisy from people talking, laughing and enjoying themselves. Only after sitting and looking at the menu, we became aware that there was no meat at Meet everything was vegetarian dishes. I ordered the butter chikken on noodles, the wife had a salad. Both dishes were pleasantly delicious. We decided to try the lemon tart for desert. It was like a wedge of pie, with a coconut crust and flavourful lemon filling. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience. Vegetarian options: Everything was vegetarian.
The dish I had today was very good
By far one of the best restaurants in Victoria! My wife and I came here not expecting a vegan restaurant but were beyond pleased with the food. I had a breakfast poutine and my wife had gnocchi, both of which were delectable. We will definitely be coming back again soon.
I really like Meet and hugely appreciate their gluten free options, but I was disappointed a couple weeks ago (Nov 2 to be exact) when I paid $19.25 for their Kale and Romaine Caesar and received a portion basically smaller than their side salads. The photo is all I got (note that I requested no croutons because I have Celiac disease).
We ordered takeout from Meet on Blanchard, and the process was super simple and efficient. The wait time wasn t long at all, and the food was fantastic! Were so grateful to have such fun and delicious vegan options in town. Well be back for more! Highly recommend!
I work next door
Have always wanted to check this spot out and so glad I did. Wish I didnt wait as long as I did. The food is fabulous. Such a different twist to the restaurant industry. So nice going to a place where everything on the menu is carted to every style of eating. Dietary restrictions: Vegan, vegetarian and gluten free. Dont quote me, but I believe there were also dairy free options.
I m not a vegan or vegetarian by any means. However, the ginger beefless bowl was absolutely delicious, then only star I can knock down for my review is the fact that they are super informative on the food but don t have estimated calories counts for any dish.. that s the only reason I won t be back any time soon. Hopefully that s an easy fix and could be more inclusive for more people Dietary restrictions: I m on a strict calorie deficit diet and they don t know the calorie count of any food in the restaurant unfortunately
Great place for vegetarian and vegan food . Some items have meaty sounding names, but arent anywhere close to being animal flesh.
Just wow! We will be back for more!
This was my first time ever trying MeeT. I ordered The Big Yum and it was absolutely delicious! I typically have a pretty small appetite, but this was so easy for me to eat. Such a nourishing, healthy bowl. The server was also very friendly and made sure I had cutlery before I left with my takeout. Highly recommend this place!
Very tasty
Amazing vegan food and service. Very tasty. Great drinks. Close to boulder house. Food : 5/5
Victoria needs more restaurants like Meet that are open late, and its great that they offer vegan and gluten free/celiac-friendly fare. But... This was our second visit (to give the restaurant a second chance) and again the food was underwhelming. Lovely staff, though. Fun fact: all of their desserts use artificial vanilla. Take that as a sign, perhaps, that their other ingredients arent necessarily of the highest quality. Since our visit, Ive talked to a few other friends about their experience here and the consensus seems to be... Meh. Another thing Ive heard a few times: the Vancouver Meet is much better, or at least it used to be. What happened? Cost cutting? Artificial vanilla is about a third the price, after all.
We came for dinner. There are lots of vegan choices.
Just had the mock burger!!! Boom freaking awesome in my opinion. Make it a regular and every time I come too Victoria . I ll definitely have it . Loved it
Dietary restrictions: Celiac/Gluten Free. A really great place to go if you are celiac. Just tell them you are celiac and they know all the substitutions and they take preparing gluten free food very seriously. Have been going to Meet on Blashard/Main/Gastown for years and have never been disappointed. Food
Really enjoyed it. Recommend the mushroom calamari and the gnocchi.
Meet is our go-to to take non-vegan friends and family and everyone is always blown away by the food. Meet is a vegan treasure! The mushroom calamari and the Benedict are my fave menu options Vegetarian options: All menu items are vegan (plant based) Dietary restrictions: Diary free, egg free, plant based Kid-friendliness: Super fun and welcoming atmosphere for the whole family
Great little vegetarian restaurant. First time experience and I would come back. Menu was out of this world with options.
While Im happy to see a place thats dedicated to vegan food since I know it can be challenging for vegans to find options for takeout sometimes, there is no indication from the outside regarding this. Since Im not vegan, Im not the target demographic and wouldnt have gone in if Id known. Again, I have no issue with vegan food, but its not for me. Thus, I didnt find out until after I had the menu in my hands and felt obligated to order something. I wanted to order coffee but couldnt due to dietary restrictions that prevent me from consuming dairy alternatives...I only ordered fries and felt quite uncomfortable during the experience due to the above....oddly, the portion was rather small as well. Furthermore, the service seemed rather slow, despite it not being very busy when we were there. Unfortunately, this experience was definitely a miss for me.
Great friendly service and excellent food!
Nice place, somewhat pricey though, even if delicious I dont care for imitation meat or plant based whatever, but thats just me, Ive been a vegetarian for over 40 years and never craved meat Food : 5/5
Everytime I go it gets better. Amazing and friendly staff seem to be hard to come by these days but MeeT on Blandshard pulls through.
Aside from green cuisine just the best vegan food in Victoria!!!!!
Absolutely amazing food, even amazinger staff. Attentive to everything and 1000000% delicious
Okay people, I am not vegan so I was not sure what I was walking g into here but I had the Caesar salad with Krispy calamari in the form of oyster mushrooms. It was DELICIOUS and I was pleasantly surprised. I will go again when I feel like a flavourful Caesar salad cause it was very good. Other then that I expect vegan will not be my lifestyle choice but I was pleasantly surprised with my MEET Caesar.
Excellent as always
Food is incredible and seasoned so well. Service was the best weve had in a long time.
So many choices it was hard to decide. We enjoyed our meals and friends who have been say the same. So we didnt just hit a good day. Will be back soon. Staff were helpful and service was great. They are very careful with food allergies when they are informed Im told. See the faqs for other questions on food restriction concerns. Vegetarian options: Everything is vegetarian and perhaps all vegan as well. See the faqs on their website.
We had to leave most the food as it was either too sweet or too charcoaly. Menu is a decent size and offers dessert too. Staff are really nice Dietary restrictions: I told them I didnt want any alcohol in the food and they accommodated Parking: The parking is around the back of the restaurant. The parking isnt the safest place because of the people walking around the lot Kid-friendliness: Diner suitable for kids
Portion sizes have changed. Food was cold. Not worth the value IMO
If you havent been to MeeT on Blanchard yet youre missing out on one of the best food experiences in the city. Never mind that its vegan food, every dish Ive tried has been delicious. Bonus that its cruelty free! Bonus on the free parking! UPDATE: MeeT has delicious sauces and gravies throughout the menu. Want awesome poutine try their poutine with cashew gravy. The Big Yum Bowl has amazing tahini sauce. Love it.
Meh. Wait staff team was under-staffed so we really had to wait to get their attention. One order was forgotten and another mistaken Another food item was very late arriving to the table after the others. The atmosphere felt impersonal. The food was average in presentation and below average in taste compared to other vegan places in Victoria. Would not go again. For drinks we ordered Yuzu Ginger Soda, Orange Dream, House Made Lemonade, HIbiscus Limeade, Craft Ginger Ale and a local Gluten Free Lager. For food we ordered: Whipped Feta Gnocchi (with garlic brushed focaccia) Mighty Mac Burger Buffalo Cauli Mac Crispy BBQ Burger with GF Bun Ginger Beefless Noodle-y Thai
A favorite spot in town. Staff are always pleasant. Easy place to take people with food sensitivities.
I am a vegan for over 20 years and love finding new (to me) vegan restaurants! I had the BBQ chicken burger and it was great! The sauce was excellent... the onions were undercooked but still a great sandwich! The disappointment were the fries...limp and lifeless... beverage was wonderful...peach pineapple and the service was very good! Thank you for providing wonderful vegan food!
Our experience was made extra special by our server Simone as professional/hospitable as she is beautiful! Food was delicious !
I was searching for some good vegan restaurants in the area while my mom and I visit from Edmonton and this place is worth every single penny!!! Amazing vegan options, even my non vegan mama LOVED everything! I highly suggest the vegan Mac n cheese !! Food
I was charged $3.25 for a gluten free bun. The most I ve ever paid in Victoria is $2.00. Why are yours so jaw dropping expensive?! Food
The food here is soooooo good ! Im not even vegan and I would eat here over and over if I lived in Victoria! Food
loved the black bean salad! everything was amazing
I cannot say enough to describe how good this place is. Being allergic to dairy, I often find it hard to find places where I can safely eat food. The entire menu is dairy free. FYI, the Butter Chikkun Noodle is great, and the staff are excellent. I will definitely be back. Vegetarian options: The entire menu is Vegan
I cant say enough about how good this place is. As a person with dairy allergies finding a restaurant where I dont have to search for the thing I can eat is brilliant. I had the Butter Chikkun Noodles and they were amazing. The staff is wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Ill be coming back Vegetarian options: This restaurant is vegan and thus also dairy-free. Wheelchair accessibility: Is entirely accessible
I had a B.L.T with Fries, the worst and smallest sandwich I ever saw, not even toasted, and the Fries where yesterdays left overs, I will never eat there again. But I liked the waitress and their beautiful smiles.
Came in for dinner last night and had a great experience! Just wanted to give a shout out to our server! He was super friendly and hospitable! Can t remember his name but he was super mellow.
Generous service and portions. Great food and fun family atmosphere!
So many things i loved about this restaurant let me name a few 1st great menu selections tons of options 2nd turn around time from when we ordered our food. I dont think k 15 mins passed before our food arrived 3rd the price I was shocked at how small our bill was for two ppl. Even at McDonalds, it would have cost more So overall, if youre a vegetarian or just wanna try something new, i would definitely recommend MEET Vegetarian options: Vegetarian restaurant
Thank you for being the BEST VEGAN RESTAURANT IN VICTORIA !
Always love it! Everything is delicious! Vegetarian options: All vegan! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options marked. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly but separate bar side as well.
The food was very good. We had the Meet Burger and the Crispy BBQ Burger. We decided on our meal after our server was so helpful and took the time without being rushed. His energy and thoughtfulness was very considerate and made for a great dining experience. His name is DJ. More restaurants need servers like him!
Just love this restaurant and new specials that they create. Vegetarian options: Vegan restaurant Food : 5/5 |
I had the chicken burger, which was actually breaded fried mushroom. Quite tasty! The bun to filling portion was more bun than filling but the inside ingredients were tasty. The burger had a tzatziki sauce which worked really well with the mushroom. Im not vegan but happy to try alternatives every so often, its great when they are both filling and tasty. The sodas were fresh and delicious!
While this vegan restaurant in Victoria certainly deserves praise, it didnt quite win me over as my favorite spot. The beefless bowl boasted delightful ginger flavor, but unfortunately, it was drowned in excessive sauce, leaving everything a bit too salty. Even the rice seemed lost in the sea of sauce. The burger was decent, but the poutine failed to impress. The sauce had an unexpected sourness, and the cheese lacked the creamy texture of mozzarella, resembling more of a cottage cheese consistency. While undoubtedly a standout vegan option, if you have other choices available, this might not be your top pick.
First visit but not last visit. Spectacular food.
Great service - Amanda. Great happy hour food selections
I love this place, its nice to see a place opening new locations after the pandemic and offering good food and fun atmosphere. Vegetarian options: The whole menu is vegan Dietary restrictions: Clearly marked for but and wheat on the menu and the sever asked if there were any allergies Parking: Lots of parking Kid-friendliness: Good kids menu Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access and plenty of tables
This place has the vest Vegan burgers. Other food is good too, but the burgers and fries are our go to.
Ill admit, a Vegan restaurant is not normally my go-to, but Id heard really good things so I decided to try it our and WOW do they ever make good food! The service was very nice and friendly as well, which is always a bonus. Definitely recommend going, whether youre a vegetarian, carnivore, flexitarian, whatever! Youll find something tasty.
Have been to gastown meet a few times and it was great. First time at the Vic location, our takeout was 15 mins late, cold, and the crispy chicken burger tasted like it had been in the deep fryer since the dawn of time.
While it wasnt the absolute best food or atmosphere, it was still tasty and pleasant. Plus, Im always excited by the chance to eat somewhere that everything is vegan. It took us a long time to decide between all the interesting options. We were in the area as tourists, but I would go back to MeeT in a flash. I wish there were one near me.
I love this restaurant, they have something for every vibe, awesome salads, burgers, Macncheese and the best Vegan Calamari Ive ever had. I also love the desserts!!! Also, great atmosphere and service. Go eat at Meet and enjoy.
Update: Still great. The gnocci is incredible. The food was good, filling, fun, delicious. I opted for the Buffalo caul macncheese and it was perfect. But what got me was the really attentive service and the atmosphere. Servers seem genuinely happy to wait on your table, bright and colourful space. New favourite spot in Vic! Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of spots in the adjoining parking lot
This is basically the only place my vegetarian mom and my omnivore self can agree on ordering from without spending half the night debating menu options. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, even if theyre not veggie. Vegetarian options: I was hesitant to order from them because at first glance you dont know what kind of meat substitute it is (personally not a fan of Beyonds flavour), but the burger patties are made in-house and give you multiple options to choose from if you want to substitute. Also the TVP bacon is totally worth the upcharge.
I just finished my meal. It was absolutely delicious! Im only mad that I havent eaten here before now! I can hardly wait til the next time I order from here.
I absolutely adore this restaurant! The food is consistently outstanding, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I make it a point to visit at least once every month. Highly recommend this place!
Love the food and the atmosphere. Good selections of food.
Have ordered from MeeT a few times and have enjoyed it every time. Definitely a place to check out if you are wanting tasty vegan options
Wow the service the food and the ambiance were all fabulous. Super impressed by the taste, texture, and presentation of the food. The fries were amazing. We had the tacos, ginger beef(not) bowl and Mac and cheese
Their food is excellent, but its a VERY loud, noisy restaurant. This seems very odd given its candlelight atmosphere. Its as if the noisy environment is intentional, with many flat, sound-reflecting metal surfaces on the bare walls. The previous restaurant at this location (Boston Pizza) was never as loud, and Meet (apparently) removed all the sound absorbing features that had been in place. The bare walls do provide a certain aesthetic, but they also have this consequence. All of this is unfortunate, as the food was very good, and I would otherwise be a regular customer at Meet. I do enjoy talking with the people Im out to dinner with, though, and Meet seems to have gone out of their way to make this very difficult.
2nd time there and it was great
Food was very yummy .. and this is coming from an omnivore that enjoys larger portions of meat Vegetarian options: This is a vegetarian/ vegan restaurant w plenty of options.. was good to see my vegetarian friend be able to choose what she wanted from a full menu instead of 2-3 options
Cute restaurant with yummy vegan food, lots of gluten free options too! Portions are a bit small for the price tho, so I dropped a star. Vegetarian options: Super vegan and vegetarian friendly, everything is labled and easy to read on the menu Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and dairy free options available :))
Food was okay. Have Had better vegan dishes.
My wife and are loyal Meet supporters in Vancouver. We had to check out the Victoria location. It did not disappoint the food was awesome and prepared quickly. Our server Dakota took really good care of us. Highly recommend checking this spot out, they have something for everyone.
The server was short on pleasantries, and the food was ok. Honestly, it was just fine, but I guess I expected more flavor, more creativity. I am not vegan, and would have liked to have been wowed by the meal. I ordered the B.E.S.T. and I did not like the salad dressing (too vineagary), and I also had the potatoes which were fine, but it was all very plain and basic. The sandwich could have been better with something added...sauce, or something. Its a cute place.
It begins with a story about a beautiful couple who had to trick their kids to eat plant based, They mastered the texture taste and presentation of every dish! You would never know! You can easily get and carnavouar to appreciate the craft that this place offers! The staff are genuine, and the cocktails are hand crafted! I really cant give this place enough praise...... VERY AFFORDABLE!!!!!!! Thank you to the creators of Meet, the staff, my happy tummy, and finally google reviews!!! Sorry I did not take pictures........ I was too busy enjoying. Go!!!!! You wont regret it!!
Best meal we ve had in ages. Such awesome selection. Very attentive service and great value. Super creative menu. Full vegan menu Easy parking Parking: Mini mall so parking is free and easy
Love the MeeT restaurants, but unfortunately Victoria just hasnt quite got it figured out yet... Every time weve gone theres been some minor issue. Most recently, it was undercooked fries, and the table beside us had the same issue! I really love the menu & available food, but this place still needs some work on getting everybody on the same page. Vegetarian options: All vegan/vegetarian menu Dietary restrictions: Gluten free available
We are long time diners with various Meet locations in Vancouver. Our second trip to Meet on Blanchard a few days ago was disappointing. While they did discount our meal slightly, we had popped in for lunch and received poor service. There were only 3 other tables with 6 people in the restaurant total. It took the waiter over 15 minutes just to take our order, and another 25 for it to arrive. When we finally asked why things were taking so long, the waiter said, Oh dont worry, we just had a big take out order. Aside from not seeing anyone pick up a big order, why would I not worry when they are prioritizing people who havent made the effort to actually come in? With how average the food is now, I doubt we will be back.
Exceeded expectations. Overall amazing experience, reasonable prices, friendly staff, delicious food.
Best vegan food in Victoria!!
Chickun burger was tasty with an incredibly fresh bun. The breaded mushroom was delightful and crispy but quite a small portion. Fries were pretty soggy and the sauce seemed to lack depth of flavour, however the gravy was great and packed with umami.
Delish! Definitely going back to try more items. Artwork gallery is gorgeous !!
The main burger was awesome! Comes with fries and salad! Their house dressing was amazing! Im not a vegetarian or vegan, and I highly recommend this place!
I want to try everything! Laid back atmosphere and delicious food.
Quick review: Mid. Sometimes it good, sometimes it isn t. Maybe the odds ever be in your favour. Longerish: I ve been to meet 4 times now. The first time I tried cauliflower wings and they tasted bitter and tart, like they had gone bad or underwent a some horrible dark scientific experience. The server was mostly non existent. Place wasn t ver packed, pretty brand new at this point. Hiccup? Maybe. The second time I had macaroni and fries and it slapped, and my partner has a Cesar salad that she talks about all the time. Honestly annoying how good it was. And the server was amazing super friendly! Super funny! Had a roobios drink that was garbage but it s fine because the server was so good ! Next time we go in for take out, service super good, super friendly, but it was a 35 minute wait for a 90% empty restaurant to give us a Cesar salad (it s sauce and lettuce. Come on 40 minutes?) but it was so good! And then the fourth time (on Saturday) we went there and the server had a vibe that she wishes we didn t exist, she forgot my drink order, she seemed unhappy to be there, we asked for the bill she checked on every other table in her section before setting us free, and we had someone else help us get the stuff she missed and nothing tasted very fresh? Is that the word? My point is you ll either have an incredible time, or a harsh mediocre time because there seems to be no standard for how staff interact with you, or how food tastes. But it s been mostly positive and we will go again and I m a meat eater so, that s another positive right? Right? Christ. How good could a salad even be. Apparently it s the best and I m not a bright man. Vegetarian options: Tons of options , and it s nice that they don t instinctively just put nuts on everything Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating. Parking: Lots of parking Kid-friendliness: Totally Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
The food, the service, the ambiance was great. I had the Mac and Cheese hamburger and I loved it. I also recommend the mushroom calamari. I have to say, I had been to MeeT when they first opened and at that time I was not impressed. I am glad my friends and I decided to give it another chance. We loved it! The food is really quite delicious and prices are fair. Parking: Perfectly located with lots of parking
Absolutely upset with our most recent takeout order from MEET! We love the food but we just waited 1.5 hours to recieve our food when it arrived it was freezing cold and my Mediterranean Burger bun was sopping wet on the bottom. Absolutely everything in our order was cold and nasty! Really hoping this is the fault of Door Dash & not MEET because we do love the food. We ordered @ 5:45 & received our food at 7:20. The reciept says date needed 6:03PM does that mean our food sat there for an hour before it even got picked up? Happy Valentines dinner
Overall, it was a good experience. They were busy and it was Valentines day, so I am being more forgiving on the service than I would under ordinary circumstances. The food was good, theyve really transformed the space from what was there before and I found it charming and enjoyable. With that said, the service was lacking. My server didnt really do much, drinks sat empty, the order was taken by another and then our server didnt even say hey I got that order, its in. There seemed to be a shift change and nobody said, hey, Im your new server now. I understand being busy, I get that things arent always perfect, and Im a fairly forgiving patron. I will return, and under ordinary circumstances Im hoping this place will score the 5 stars it could easily get with service on the level of the food.
Great service, food is always consistently good. Waiter went above and beyond.
The places is near to downtown victoria and easily accessible by bus. We visited here on valentines day, the ambience was good and staff was great. I got a table instantly but Id to wait for an hour to get 3 dishes serverd which was a little more then expected time to serve. The teem poutine was tasty and I liked it the most, the burger was good too. I will not recommended the Thai noodle was I found it tasteless, no salt, no chilli, no sauces. Vegetarian options: This is a pure vegetarian restaurant
Always test food and great service. My go to when in Victoria
Not the most amazing restaurant atmosphere but definitely amazing food and service that will make you want to visit again. Strongly recommend there Mac and cheese donuts. Vegetarian options: Its a vegan restaurant
Amazing meat alternatives, good spicing and flavoring !
Delicious food and great service.
Im allergic to nuts and many raw vegetables and fruits; my husband is allergic to tomatoes, eggplant, and fermented things. As you can imagine vegetarian and vegan restaurants are not our usual haunts. Friends suggested MeeT on Blanchard and it was amazing! I had the Mediterranean burger and it was easily one of the best, probably THE best, burger I have ever had. The party also had the gnocchi, macncheese with chikkin, the meet burger and oysters. Oh, and drinks! Everything was outstanding! As delicious and creative as the food was the service really stole the show: communicative and attentive to our weird food restrictions. Pity I dont live in Victoria as Id love to go all the time and nut-navigate my way through the whole menu!
Got take out with my family, were a mix of meat eaters and vegetarians. Food was tasty, everyone was happy!
Unique vegan restaurant. So many options . Laid back place and kid friendly. My grand kids loved the mac and cheese
Dietary restrictions: Vegan fare Food
Feel so taken care of as a vegetarian here. More protein options than Ive seen anywhere else and all of it is soooo so delicious. Just as good delivered too!
Seriously, the best vegetarian burger that Ive had - with Mac and Cheese on it - how could you go wrong! Decent prices for a good amount of food. Service was quick and friendly. Ive already recommended this restaurant to others! It is accessible and lots of convenient parking is available. They do have weekday and weekend Happy Hours too! It is great to have a vegetarian/vegan restaurant in town!
Can t wait to go back!!
Healthy AND delicious food. Usually you have to pick 1 or the other. At MeeT, you get both. Appreciate the gluten-free options. I find it hilarious that they dont advertise they are a vegan restaurant - they just quietly do it ha ha. No meat at the meet. Well done.
Mouth watering vegan food with incredible flavour. Will be going back Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair accessible dining and restroom areas Food : 5/5 |
We had a lovely time, ordered some dishes that the server suggested and enjoyed a delightful meal as a result. We will be going back again soon.
Just had another excellent brunch meal at MEET. Excellent service and best of all, the food is so yummy. Its hard to believe were actually eating vegan. Portion sizes were good. My favourite is the Oyster Mushroom Calamari Caesar. Also, the Berry Waffles with the coconut whipping cream is the best.
Really great food, very considerate server, however, i asked one of the other servers for a water when they brought our food and they must have forgotten and it made me sad and thirsty. but delicious food and great service otherwise.
Yummy vegan food, I got the chickn n waffles Nashville style, delicious honey mustard & maple syrup
Good quality is fantastic, even non Vegan/Vegetarian would enjoy. Our waitress was beyond friendly. We did have three of our orders Fries served cold, but the server offered us compensation in a few different options. All and all I think this is one of the best vegan restaurants I have eaten at for food quality and taste.
Absolutely awesome and creative food & lovely people - vegan heaven!
The food was tasty, but the portion was weirdly small for ordering one of the more expensive items on the happy hour menu. Service was brutal: we were seated and just waited for about 8 minutes before anyone came to check on us or take orders, drinks took a while to arrive and when our food came no one quality checked us so we couldnt order another item to round out the meal. The tables around us seemed to be left waiting as well. Not sure if it was just the time of day when people change shifts, but there were about three people including a manager with nothing to do but needlessly drum on the hostess stand when we arrived so they seemed to have enough people to make things run more smoothly. Might try again as Ive heard good things, but my first experience wasnt tops.
The waffles were delicious and everyone else loved their meals
Great tasting food if you have the patience to wait out the terrible service. At least we were saved the expense of a tip.
This was our first time here and we were very disappointed with the service. The food was good! We got the steak tostadas and the cauliflower bites. Service wasn t the greatest at the start but it was alright. I had a spicy margarita and my partner had a beer. When our second dish was brought out he ordered another beer but it never came. Our server came back and asked if we needed anything else. I ordered another margarita and my partner re-order that beer since he never got it. We waited around 15-20min and our server came back explaining how he believed we were intoxicated and wanted us to settle up. (That was our first drink of the day) While I understand that s part of his job, he should ve said it right when we ordered our drinks, not 30 min after while we were waiting for our drinks.
Food is amazing, but portions have gotten smaller. Still recommended for an excellent plant based meal..
A new place with a new, creative menu. As a proud omnivore with serious carnivore leanings, I was very happy with vegan/vegetarian menu and I found several intriguing, imaginative, and enjoyable selections! I look forward to dining there again!
My husband had been wanting to eat here for a long time and when we tried it we were not disappointed. Every meal we ordered was sensational. The food is incredible and is vegan. We will definitely be coming back.
Most excellent vegan food! We sometimes forget were not eating the carnivorous version of the dishes. The things they do with oyster mushrooms are next level. I really want to know what the shrimp and the burgers are made from because it is really hard to distinguish the difference (other than being free of the undesirable textures of meat meat). Flavours are on point. Our 2 year old enjoys everything hes tried so far (big fan of the Buffalo cauliflower mac ncheese). While it is hard to resist re-ordering a favourite, we are on a mission to try all the dishes at least once, so we try something different each time. Vegetarian options: Every thing is animal-free. Dietary restrictions: Vegan, plant-based, animal-free, dairy-free & some gluten-free options/substitutions. Much of the menu does contain tree nuts. Kid-friendliness: While not necessarily accommodating of small children (no kids menu or kids size drinks, activity pages, etc), they seem accepting.
A nice vegan-friendly addition to local cuisine. Food is very fresh and tasty with a lot to choose from. Our server, Joseph was so delightful and really made us feel like we were the only ones there.
A good variety of dishes, and its wonderful that everything is vegan. Staff are friendly and the service is pretty good. Ive had some very tasty meals, and a few busts. Theres no kids menu, and Im not a fan of their drink selection, but MeeT is worth checking out.
Omg the best vegan food ever
The food was great and there were so many options that I had a hard time deciding. I wish there were more places like this! Our waitress was lovely too, will be back for sure
Great vegan spot. All the comfort food but vegan :)
I would highly recommend this restaurant, even if you are not vegan. Staff is very knowledgeable and the food is awesome. Would be good for family gatherings or meeting friends.
Two visits in (afternoon snack - delicious cauliflower appetizer and dinner, super tasty Orchard Harvest salad and Beef Tostadas). Delicious food with an original twist and a totally awesome drinks menu (including wonderfully original virgin drinks). Large number of creative Vegan options but also meet for us omnivores. The bright, clean, colourful and tasteful decor and high ceiling open space is a delight to sit in for drinks or a meal. Interesting art by local artists on the walls heighten the interest of the space further. (In my photos, local artist Sandra Curran, great paintings of BC flowing waters). Will be coming back! Dietary restrictions: Both vegan and meat items (see review)
Amazing vegan options. So delicious, so filling. Creative, yummy drinks Dietary restrictions: All vegan, hooray! Food : 5/5 |
Loved it, delicious food and happy staff. We will be visiting lots in the future. Dietary restrictions: It is a peanut free restaurant
Wow, this has the potential to become a signature restaurant in Victoria. First with the good (great). I was lost looking at the menu, Joseph the waiter knew it very well (including all the ingredients). We found our way to the Ginger Beefless (tofu curls?) one of the very best spicy dishes in the city, and I mean spicy - right up there with Hong Kong Wests Cold Chili Sesame Chicken. Both spectacular dishes and why I will go back to MeeT. Joseph also recommended the Thai dish just below it on the menu, that too I will try next time. I also had the Oyster Mushroom Kalamari, it has potential, but way too much salt (I know this because when I drank my water it tasted like the ocean). Remove the salt, add a warm spice (sumak maybe) and rather than the Tzatiki sauce (which was also good but so predictable) how about Pomegranate Molasses, with a very small amount of crumbled feta and an herb - Thai basil or mint). All in all a very great surprise tonight and I am eager (and hopeful), MeeT is here to stay and they continue to push the boundary of great tasting food.
The food is okay. I find it very salty. The staff are friendly. The drinks are sub par.
I took a chance to order take out because Meet s reviews improved from a few months ago. Sadly, $20 I got less than 300 gm s worth of takeout food that I picked up myself. Large pieces of dry kale and romaine. Nice dressing but not enough to coat the kale. Not great.
Great tasting food, wonderful staff... but absolutely meagre portions, especially for the price. Got the Chickun and Waffles, 19 bucks and it came with 3 nugget sized pieces. I get restaurants are pricy, I know Im not buying in bulk... but it was a comical, insulting portion, wont be going back.
Needs improvement in service
That cheesy, pesto, spinach with focaccia - dynamite.
Delicious vegan food, great for families!
I always get wonderful service and food when I come here. The features have generally been quite good but it can be slightly annoying to find them as each location has different features and the menu has a QR link to their website. There are not a lot of 100% Vegan restaurants in Victoria but this is one of my new favorites.
Service was great, food out quickly. We found the food very rich , over the top in fact, not able to eat it all because of richness. Music too loud for lunchtime. Maybe ok to younger crowd. Decor is lovely.
Music was just a bit too loud to talk. Two people at our table said their food was completely underwhelming due to a lack of flavor. Bit pricey to make main fries poutine. Saying that the burger that I had was amazing and the poutine that I got as the side was just as great, I would eat there again, for special occasion. I love the decor once again. I love the decor, especially the old school tube TV, playing the old VHS tapes. Seriously cool.
Passionate vegetarian people serving ok food in a boring atmosphere. First visit, kinda felt like a cafeteria. Friendly staff, I had the beet salad which was good, we shared fries that were supposed to be fantastic but looked and tasted like the fry oil was overdue. Interesting menu, may return
Highly recommend this place. The food is great, not greasy, we liked every dish that we ordered. The menu has some simple standard dishes, but they are all exceptionally creative and delicious. It all tasted fresh and top quality. Desserts are so good, full of flavour and not too sweet. Will come again for sure. Update: went back 2 more times and will come again. Always delicious no matter what I order. Great service and casual/relaxing atmosphere. Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan
I was so happy when Meet opened a location in Victoria! Theyve got a good variety of dishes and all the portions are huge- I usually only manage to finish about half of my meal, but most dishes make great leftovers for lunch the next day! The Victoria location is nice and spacious, and I love getting to see different artists works displayed almost every time I go in. Dietary restrictions: Vegan, gluten free options
Eye catching decor, friendly service and mouth watering food. The atmosphere was very warm and pleasing as well. 10/10 would recommend! Vegetarian options: There were a lot of menu items to choose from!!
Vegetarian options: This is a vegan restaurant. I am definitely a meat eater, but the food here is great. Food
First visit. A very extensive menu. Beet salad and Ginger Beefless Bowl were outstanding. Wish we had one of these places in Cook St Village.
I was excited to try MeeT for the first time after reading all the positive reviews on social media. Unfortunately, my friend and I didnt have a great experience. Our server seemed like she didn t want to be there. She asked us if this was our first time and we said yes. All she said was welcome and dived right into the drink specials. We were hoping for a small introduction instead of being rushed to order drinks and food. My friend had the main burger, but she found it bland and burnt tasting. I had the mac n cheez bowl. The macaroni noodles were overcooked. There was a little bit of heat, but the cashew sauce had no flavor. It didn t have that creamy texture in a sauce. We both liked the funky decor in the restaurant.
The weirdest restaurant experience Ive ever had. It took us 2 minutes of waiting for a host to greet us, and after we got seated they left without a word. We then sat for 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging our existence. No water, no drinks, nothing. Every server was dressed in extreme casual attire. You couldnt tell if they were workers or eating there. Im talking baggy sweatpants and baggy hoodie. The whole vibe was super strange. Its like they all partied too hard the night before and were still feeling it. Extremely chillllled out. We decided to wait another 5 minutes to see if we would get served but decided to go elsewhere. I never saw the host again anywhere in the restaurant. It sucks because I was super stoked to try Meet with my partner.
Excellent food and service! One side of the restaurant seems more intimate with small tables, while the other side had a more open feel and was able to accommodate our big group which included people who have eaten/cooked vegan meals for years as well as people who were trying a vegan option for the first time - we all left smiling and with full bellies!!
Good size portions. Would come back again.
Amazing vegan comfort food!! My favorite place to visit for a special occasion.
AMAZING vegan options! The butter chicken loaded fries were so good.
Stopped in since we drive by frequently only to find a wonderful vegan diner. Breakfast poutine was a big hit. We also enjoyed the breakfast bowl and the soup of the day. Well be back Vegetarian options: Way more fun getting vegan comfort food here than making it myself.
Great food! Glad to see you in Victoria!
Almost as good as Bravocados in Tofino!
I ve never been disappointed going here. I used to go to Meet in Vancouver, never disappointed there either. Met the love of my life for our first date at Meet. It was the best first date.
We had the tostadas as an appie with the Mediterranean burger and fries as the main. Delicious! Generous portions, tasted great and yes, I had to take home leftovers! Yay! Lunch tomorrow! 10 out of 10 - highly recommend! Vegetarian options: All vegan! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free
Quirky, but needs some atmosphere in day time. Nice at night though.
I was pleased by the menu and was hoping for a tasty but healthy meal. However, I was hit with a wall of grease upon arrival. My burger was super greasy and salad was drenched in dressing. Waaay too much sauce. Great service though!
The food is pretty good. The service isnt bad. But the prices are high, even for a place that feels like an uncomfortable Dennys. The rock music is obnoxious and the lighting is a harsh kind of dim. Also for a vegan place there is very little on the menu for gluten free people. Then there is the location at a very busy intersection. I like the idea they are presenting, and I wish them well. But they need way more gluten free items, turn down the rock music or better yet not have any, and warm up the lights. Make it cozier in there. Id also add some kind of fabric to muffle the industrial tinniness of the space. Dietary restrictions: More gluten free options please. Also update the menu. When I was there 2 or 3 items had no dietary indications and it turned out one of them was indeed gluten free. The gnocchi. Which was delicious. But didnt come with salad or anything else.
Good food and service, but it is very noisy. Vegetarian options: Completely vegan Food : 5/5 |
When I ordered Mahesh, I did not know that the sugar beets are brined in vinegar, and they were extremely tart, and the entire salad was so full of vinegar taste that I could not enjoy the rest of it. I had absolute anorexia after, and just played with my food, the bean burgers and the mushrooms in the chicken patties. Leave a lot to be desired. It is overpriced in all aspects. However, the restrooms are clean. The pink painted ductwork is no well. Music is loud and not tasteful. Interior decor and lighting are very nice. The folks who waited on us were very polite and professional. French fries were crispy and nice! The restaurant was not overcrowded. There is no weight getting seated at the table. There is an older television with the VHS player and they were playing you ve got mail. Dietary restrictions: This is a vegan restaurant. Very good for me because there s no pork and everything is Halal. Parking: Lots of free parking because it is right near the strip mall Kid-friendliness: Quite friendly with all the children
Our daughter showed us this place it is her favorite vegan restaurant. Surprisingly delicious
Vegetarian options: Its a vegetarian restaurant with only vegetarian and vegan options Food
How can vegan food taste this good? Ordered the steak tostadas, butter chikken poutine, gruvi peruvi salad, groovy gravy fries, and noodl-y Thai. No pictures because it all disappeared so fast. Great flavours, decent sized portions and less pricy than the generic burger places we ve ordered takeout from. Meet looks to be taking cues from feedback and upping its game. Thumbs up all around from teen boys, mom and dad. We re looking forward to trying more dishes.
Great vegetarian options, its nice to be able to eat the entire menu.
The kalamari ceasar salad was delicious.
Great place for a meal, everything on the menu is delicious!
Worst experience of my life . On Wednesday evening. I was waiting in queue for my turn.the host took my name and phone number and told me that we will call once we have table. It was fine for me , I understand sometime it is busy and it surprised me when she gave table to the other guests behind me there were 2 group one with 2 people and other with 4 people. This is make me totally uncomfortable and then someone from the kitchen trying to handover me the food package for door dash delivery. She is assuming that I am delivering guy. Even though I don t have any delivery bag with me. I m Brown and south Asian Indian that why she assumed I am delivery person. Personally I feel it is racism assuming something from my skin colour .Then I thought this is not the place where I should spend my time. Later they called me and apologized but I feel more worst they offered me free drink . If I can pay for my dinner then it is not so hard for me to pay for my drinks too. A free drink offer will not make everything ok. It is about how I was treated. Then I said no , I m not coming because my self respect way more important than a free drink. Thank a lot Meet at Blanshard for my first and last experience.
In the old Boston Pizza location. Interior very attractive and I really liked it. Service was prompt, kinda stand-offish, and my beef burger was not handmade (a formed patty). Side salad was good, and fries dipped in aloi way better than ketchup but less than gravy :). Ill visit again. It got busy with family and couples. Next time Ill try a pasta dish.
fantastic plant based restaurant/lounge. comfortable booths good music
I like the food, but for a place thats supposed to be good for food allergies it isnt good for nut allergy people. My nut allergic friend got hit both times we went with a reaction after ordering something without nuts and clearly indicating he has a nut allergy. However, for gluten free and vegans this place slaps. Highly recommend so long as you dont have a nut allergy.
I would not recommend this restraunt. The place has a skeleton crew so even though we were one of 4 tables it took nearly 20 minutes to be served and then the meals, 2 Meet Burgers, were not worth the wait. Mushrooms were overcooked and tough, the patty had an over processed quality, the fries were nearly burnt and the salad had a poor dressing which tasted like oregano and vinegar.
The perfect vegan restaurant, as it s got healthy and pub food options. Extensive menu, with numerous delicious dishes. Going back same day
