Dined in. I had the Nachos, not enough cheese, no olives, no Jalapeños ?? We all know what is expected of this dish. * Husband had ( but didn t at all enjoy )his meal of Chicken Fettuccine . I had a taste and there was NO FLAVOUR whatsoever ! Just plain white sauce, no garlic, no parmasan. We were flabbergasted. Only it had a ton of onions in it. *Prices are really high and this isn t THAT POSH. I gave it a 1st try, this was our second however there will be no return again.

I came in tonight with my small service dog, and everyone was SO kind and accommodating! I was greeted by such a nice young woman and my server was excellent, such a sweetheart. I sometimes exprerience judgment or snobbiness when I bring my service dog into public places, because I dont look like I have a disability. I really enjoyed my dinner and experience and I will most certainly be dining here again! Thank you!

Every time I come here the food is so delicious, top quality ingredients, fresh and huge portions great value which is very few and far in-between with how many restaurants are suffering these days with cost. The service is always so good! Never a complaint.

It was a late dinner, we arrived at the establishment 20 minutes before closing and were the only visitors. But we were served excellently, everything was very fast and delicious. I really liked the attitude of the staff. And it s nice when you don t expect it, but receive a compliment from the establishment in the form of dessert) ) I recommend!

Great place for a family dinner. My son loves their ice cream volcano, and both my wife and I love their meals.

I used to LOVE this restaurant but I don t think I will ever be back. Service was good however the menu has taken a real turn for the worst and overall the food is just bad. Don t be fooled by the fancy pizza oven they no longer serve pizza either.

The service is still great however our food was bland. The beef in the beef dip was fatty and chewy and the crispy tofu was soggy and unappetizing. Weve also experienced the occasional food poisoning after a meal here- the salmon dish is one example. Street parking is tricky, the restaurant itself could be cleaner. I also find it odd that the one to respond to reviews only does so to positive ones. Was a fave- we wont be back.

Came in for 1/2 price wine tonight, our servers name was Lexi and she had great recommendations and just a great personality and overall just went above and beyond to help me celebrate my birthday. In 2024, Moxies gives some of the best service for a dine in restaurant in the city. Weird, right? Im not particularly a fan of Moxies, and certainly havent been in the past, but Ive frequented different locations over the years for the good drink specials. Heres the dirty: the service is consistently friendly and attentive. If youre a decent human being, they might even buy you a drink! (Yes, I may be savage in some reviews, but I also recognize that the customer is more often than not, not right.) Food isnt particularly good or imaginative I miss the Alex Chen days of Moxies. They do have a pretty good selection though, and I would say theres at least something for every type of food restrictions, you just might not necessarily write home about what you get.

This place,is bright and friendly. The only thing is there pasta needs to include more sauce. Not sure why,but I have had a couple different pasta dishes and Ive always had to ask for more sauce. Most of the time sauce doesnt even cover all the pasta. Will continue to come here. Please moxies give us more sauce with pasta dishes

Emma served us and was lovely. The food was impressive! I haven t been to Moxies in a long time but after this experience, I ll be back for sure. The dining room was full, we sat outside which was actually better cuz I think they d recently cleaned the fountain and it was rather bleach smelling inside. Lol.

This place is all the normal good, delicious food, great service, roomy decor. Two pieces of advice would be re-vamp happy hour menu. My food was very normally priced and deters another reason to partake in HH. Also, time for bigger tv or another one?

Pretty good overall. We ordered off the Happy hour menu. The Shrimp and Calamari were really good. The hour beer wasnt great but it was a good price. I do wish there were some different cocktails on the Happy Hour menu. Biggest downside was that the table we had (by the window) was super wiggly. But I think well be back.

This location never dissapoints. The food is consistently good, the service is consistently good. And the atmosphere is bright and clean. They are great at accommodating large parties. I recommend the chicken Modeira rigatoni! And the mocktails

Moxies (Victoria) is hands down the best place to dine in Victoria. The food is always delicious, the service is spectacular, the atmosphere is impressive and the music is just right. Today, we had the Lemon Basil Salmon (best salmon I ve ever had) and Chicken Madeira Rigatoni. Both were made to perfection. For desert, we had the White Chocolate Brownie (with ice cream and whipped cream). It was so delicious - a great way to top off our evening. I was especially impressed with our server Leonardo. It was a great place to celebrate our anniversary.

Took our 11yr old son in for his birthday and the food, service, and birthday dessert were amazing.

The food is very good, we ate steak. The meat and temperature was good. It is mainly served by young people and works well. The service is excellent as everything is monitored and managed by the manager. Beatriz is the manager, she is friendly but above all very competent, customer-oriented and technically perfect. She is also very good in difficult and stressful situations. There was even an emergency at that time, the customers were not disturbed and everything happened silently. Parking: from 6:00 p.m. is free

I came here with my daughter and gf for a little birthday dinner, and couldnt have been more pleased. The ambiance was great, and even though the establishment was busy, our food was piping hot and delicious. The manager, Asia, came over to check on us and her customer service / people skills were excellent. She treated us as if we were old friends, rather than just customers. Ill be going to Victoria on a regular basis and will be back here for sure. If youre looking for a great place to eat, definitely keep this place in mind.

Dining room was nice, service was good. Was very hungry and was recommended the chicken and ribs by the server as it was really good if your super hungry When the food arrived I was dissapointed to have a very dried and thin blackened chicken breast (not kidding, thinner than my phone) and half rack of unseasoned, mostly bone ribs, with a bit of mashed potatoes and roasted veggies. It honoustly looked sad. I even joked to my partner that it looks like something youd see in a retirement home. For around $40 just for that plate Id expect much better. My partner wasnt too happy with her food either. We were expecting to have a really nice night out but we were both going home dissapointed and ended up going to McDonalds after cause we were still hungry. Probably would have been a better option in the first place. Overall, the server was really nice and the drinks were delicious, I just wouldnt recommend to go for the food, maybe just stick to the bar menu.

I DONT RECOMMEND GOING TO THIS RESTAURANT. First time we visit here and we are very disappointed. Service wasnt great.Our table was sticky and dirty, they seated us beside the kitchen where bunch of kids using the phone while cooking no wonder why our food took so long. Everything that we want to order are sold out. Whats upsetting is they serve my kid an ice cream with plastic cup with tip and crack all the way on the bottom of the cup. The server told us not to worry, nothing is wrong to our kid instead of saying sorry. Even the manager doesnt know how to handle the situation and blame the dishwasher. Worst restaurant experience ever especially victoria.

I ve eaten supper at Moxie s about a month ago and then twice this week and all 3 times were excellent. I sat in the lounge so I could watch hockey and the bartender and servers are very friendly. Service is excellent with lots of check-ins and the food is delivered in a timely manner. I had the beef vindaloo twice , and the prawn lacksa last night. Both dishes were hot and spicy and decent portions. I took the half of the beef vindaloo home for lunch. Appears that no reservation is needed in the evening mid week.

This place is overprice. You can see that brainless Kens and Barbies are working there.

This place is very nice. Hungry and ready for a meal we entered in to inquire if theres an open table. The answer is no nothing until 9:30 to it was currently 6:00. We could see and available seat up at the bar. Upon leaving I turned to the phone and phone them to see if they had anything available for reservation for two was told by the same person that they had one 615 if I could make it in soon and the other one would be at 7:30. Looking at each other, we assumed that they did not want our services because we looked as though we might not be rich or potentially homeless. I felt that we had been racially discriminated against and made the reservation. Whenl 1615, and came around, I called them and told him that we were the couple that they had just declined and that we would like to decline the reservation. I didnt feel that they deserved our business at that point. Enjoy the better establishment and happily left $60 tip. Never will I go to this restaurant or give them any misses even through delivery they dont deserve it. As I didnt have a chance to taste the food, I cant comment on that. I didnt respond to Google Maps request for my opinion at the time because I was frustrated and didnt think it was worth my time. Im sending this today. I reflected on that choice and made my comment. Need to get a certificate and an opportunity to stay at this restaurant would change my viewpoint.

Skip to last paragraphs to read the main issue. Food: Was slightly above average definitely not worth the price we paid. I have been to similar restaurants with better food and a fairer price. Environment: Place looked great, hostess put us in the seats we needed, music volume reasonable. More importantly, place and cutlery were clean. Server: Polite, pleasant and respectful, although she did 2 minor errors that didnt affect the experience that much. Overall before the very end, I thought the server did a very good job. Everything was going okay (could have left 3 or 4 stars), until the very end, when our server showed the bill to her to one of her co-workers and we could see the look of disappointment and mockery on their faces. Bill was a bit over 100 dollars for 2 mains, 2 entrees and a desert. To be frank, the tip we left was not much, but it was not a reflection of the servers performance. The reason why we left a small tip was simple: we dont make much money and rarely go to fancy restaurants, so when we do go, we unfortunately cannot afford to give a good tip. The server and her co-worker apparently did not like that and it made us feel that we were not welcomed at the restaurant if we cannot leave a good tip, which ruined our whole experience. If that is the Moxies message, then the restaurant should have a sign or warning that dining at Moxies is only for those who can leave a good tip, but no where did we see such a sign. Customers should not have their experience ruined because of tipping, which is optional. If servers are not happy about their pay, then the onus is on the restaurant to improve their pay, not the customer. You are better off to go a different restaurant where servers will not judge you based on the optional tip you provided.

Conveniently located, this establishment offers delicious food and a friendly staff. While there was a minor issue with finding a hair in my sister s drink, they promptly replaced it, demonstrating thoughtfulness. However, they didn t remove it from the bill as a gesture. Overall, the ambiance and service were good. If you re visiting Victoria, it s worth a try, but be cautious about the hair incident.

Ordered off a deliver app and the ribs I got were a bit dry. I called moxies and asked if anything could be done. They gave me a few options and remade my meal. It s delicious and the ribs are perfect! They went above and beyond with their customer service and even added a brownie bite I was not expecting. Thank you moxies for the great customer service and really good food! I will be back :)

My girlfriend and I came to Moxies for dinner yesterday, after coming here roughly 4 years ago. Our excitement to return was driven by the last experience. The last time we came we ordered ribs and they were very good! However, last night was a big disappointment. Im not sure if the style of ribs changed over 4 years or maybe our standards became to high but thats not how we remembered them. We were left very disappointed, especially when you spend over $100 at the restaurant. Not only that but there were flies around our table that my girlfriend and I had to kill. Overall not a great food and dining experience at all. I will say that our server was pretty good though.

Lindsey, the owner is great! Bridgette was very friendly and took care of all our needs. The ribeye was cooked perfect and seasoned well. The feature pasta was outstanding. And love the tiny tuna tacos! Great happy hour as well! see you soon!

After a very successful first experience in this restaurant for dinner, I reiterated my experience with a delicious cocktail (passion fruit mai tai) which, moreover, was really cheaper and better than elsewhere! I really recommend this place, the interior is pretty and comfortable, the outdoor patio accepts dogs but it is also really pleasant since it is half sunny, half shaded and also has a sofa and trendy music!

Our food was delicious and wait staff was very attentive. I loved that the guacamole came with not just tortilla chips, but also my favorite type of Terra chip.

Moxies never ceases to amaze me. The food, the ambience and the service was so good. The do have a kid friendly menu. The server who served me had the knowledge of food and made some good recommendations. Do try the chicken madeira rigatoni.

Awesome food and service

I visited Moxies Victoria tonight for drinks only. While the drinks themselves were enjoyable, there were a few notable issues. Initially, I attempted to sit at the bar, but it was full, so I was directed to the restaurant section. Upon receiving water, I was surprised to find a strong smell of glass, rather than just water. Requesting a new glass resolved this issue. Unfortunately, I was informed that napkins were reserved for diners, which was unexpected. Overall, not a satisfactory experience tonight.

he payment was messed up. We accidentally put the bill all on my card even though we had a gift card so I basically got charged for 50 dollars extra. They cant do refunds or give me my money back in any way, but give me a gift card.

I was disappointed with my return to Moxie s. Today was my first time back since Covid. The food was not as good as before and I really missed that they no longer have the brunch menu. My favourite dish was only on that menu. The brunch menu was the reason why we chose a weekend to return. Even though there were very few diners when we were there, our waitress was inattentive. And the prices are unbelievable. Moxie s used to serve incredible food at prices that befitted a higher end restaurant but not outrageously expensive. Moxie s also used to have dedicated parking. Now it s paid parking. We re getting less for more money.

Just a terrific dinner here...great service, food and ambiance. Patio available as well as window seating for people watching . Highly recommended!! Parking: Parking along Yates or Moxies reserved spaces behind restaurant.

The food is good, nothing extraordinary but it is good. It is a little pricey, but you are paying for the atmosphere and all the rest. I found the service to be good as well, not great, lacking the personal touch and humour necessary to make it a five star, but solid. The atmosphere is neat, dig the fountain and fish tank, and the open kitchen is cool too.

I had the most delicious Avocado bacon salad, but it was unusual, it was served on a half an iceberg lettuce. It took a lot of effort to eat. Less lettuce and a bowl would have been nice. It really was delicious.
