Sedona Restaurant & Lounge in Victoria

Highly recommend for party of friends, family, or date night. A laid-back, intimate vibe; friendly, professional service; good wine selection; and mouth watering entrees. The sticky toffee dessert also memorable.

This was our second visit to Sedonas. We had to be sure it was as good as our first visit. And it did not disappoint! Well be making this a regular must-have dining experience for ourselves.

My partner and I have been here twice, and both times were blown away by the food and service. The chef came around to check in on our experience and even added extra to our dishes which was lovely.

My family and I have frequented this family owned business for years. They are extremely hard working and passionate about what they do. The plates are always vibrant and enticing, and the food is so delicious that I always forget to get a picture before Ive gobbled it up but I will have to during my next visit!

Best Ribs ever! The owner was extremely friendly and we enjoyed talking to her. We will definitely be going back again.

A beautiful room with friendly service and delicious food. The vegetables were beautifully presented and prepared, and the desserts were as good as the mains. Definitely will be back!

Gnocchi was the fluffiest tastiest thing ever.

Vegetarian options: Beautiful vegetarian options, including SUPER yummy vegetarian dumplings, paired with a spicy peanut sauce. Nommmmm!! The Halibut was the BEST piece of fish I have ever had...cooked to perfection and beautifully flavored. Every single item on the plate with the fish was divine and the diversity of vegetables was appreciated. DO NOT skip on the chocolate flourless torte...I actively seek out the best desserts every place I visit, and this restaurant knows how to make a chocolate flourless torte...Im nearly drooling just thinking about it. I already verified she will have more tortes tomorrow....I must have another before leaving!!! Thank you so much for a FABULOUS meal!!!

This restaurant is amazing and a must for anyone! A lovely setting for a date night. I ve been several times and always excellent food. Try the butternut squash perogies And lemon strawberry cheese cake ~ all local! Decor is so cool great music and service ! The decor is also soothing w glass light and sculptures ! Perfection !

We went for our staff seasonal party. Had the best lamb Ive eaten in Canada. Deserts were great. Everyone at the table loved what they ordered too.

Tried Sedona Cafe for the first time last night. The food was absolutely spectacular! The four of us ordered four different entrees and each was amazing. They have a beautiful wine list as well. Ohhh and the cocktails were innovative and delicious! This restaurant is a MUST TRY!!!

Weve been coming here for years and the food is always great! Ribs on Wednesday night are delicious and Prime Rib on Sundays is amazing! Then theres the sticky toffee dessert, SO good!

My husband and I made a second reservation before even finishing our first meal there. The atmosphere is elegant yet intimate, the service is charming, and the food is beyond divine. Vegetarian options: Small menu still had multiple vegetarian dishes, as exciting as the meat options.

A neighborhood high-end restaurant that starts serving dinner at 4pm. Chef also runs front of house and greets customers herself. Recommend calling in for a reservation as the restaurant is short staffed. You can discuss your dietary restrictions with the chef and request to add extra protein or carbs to you main dishes. Pasta and fish dish changes daily. Lots of cocktail and wine selection. Dietary restrictions: Can discuss with Chef with your dietary restriction. Fish dish came as a keto dish but carbs can be added if keto isnt your thing.

Lovely neighbourhood restaurant with extremely fresh, tasty, and comforting meals. You could tell they were made with love. We had the gnocchi to share as a starter, ribs, and then sampled all the desserts the sticky toffee pudding was to die for! The owners are also incredibly nice, which made it a really fun dining experience. Oh, and well-priced cocktails, to boot!

This place is great! They are on the 2nd floor, and they have the patio as well! Lamb rack is very good, with nice display, very delicious on the lamb! The filet mignon is very good as well, good cooked, and nice display too. The dessert is very nice as well, hot with vanillia ice cream, tastes the best! From the beginning before entered the restaurant, we saw the deer or coyote on the opposite grass, very cute!

We had the most amazing night at Sedona Restaurant last night. Impeccable service, fresh fish (caught in the morning), the best Caesar salad I ve ever eaten, and a great wine list. The chef was incredible at making modifications and providing solutions for my celiac wife and made extra effort to explain the dishes she so artfully prepared. Overall a very memorable evening. Can t wait to come back for Christmas! Dietary restrictions: Chef makes everything fresh so modifying for celiac was no problem.

We had cocktails, followed by fabulous prime rib dinner on Sunday (paired with a gorgeous red wine), and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. A wonderful meal with friends visiting from out of town.

My favourite place to go on a dinner date! The service is always impeccable, the waitress is friendly and always provides a memorable evening, the chefs food has never once disappointed and occasionally when they have time the chef will come check in personally! Also the seating is very comfortable and it s an amazing atmosphere

An underwhelming experience. A very limited menu. I had the fish special which was three ounces on halibut with an assortment of raw warm vegetables for $48. On a Saturday night half the tables were vacant. This restaurant will fail.

Had dinner there tonight, I had the fish dish, and my girlfriend had the lamb, it was served with amazing mashed potatoes, great local veggies. The food quality is great. IT WAS AMAZING!!!! the service was outstanding, and the vibe inside was perfect for a date night. I would recommend this place to anyone, and this restaurant is going to be a staple in Victoria for years. Love this place.

Ours was a last minute stop to grab a bite to eat after a long day of traveling. We brought our two little girls with us and although they did not have a designated kids menu, the service was incredible! They offered to make my daughter a bbq chicken breast off menu so she would have something to eat. They went above and beyond to make sure our kiddos had plenty to fill their bellies. We wanted for nothing and the vegetable pasta was a huge hit with our youngest! Everyone was so nice and even went as far as to offer to hold our leftovers in their fridge until we came back to pick them up after running our errands. The food was amazing and we couldn t have asked for better service. Thank y all so much for taking care our family while we are away from home on holiday!

Went for prime rib night! Excellent food, cocktails and service.

The most memorable fine dining my partner and I have enjoyed in quite some time. Our first time at this lovely restaurant where we shared the best huge Caesar salad, appetizer and the Lamb entree. My goodness, seven vegetables all perfectly cooked, accompanied 4 tender lamb chops to satisfy the biggest appetite. No room for the dessert, but we loved our Americanos. The service was excellent too! Treat yourself and try it!!!

Five stars all around. My friends and I were visiting from Seattle and came in on a whim on a Sunday. Yvonne (hopefully correct spelling) is the head chef and owner and is an absolute pleasure to chat with. She treated us like family and this was one of the best dinners I ve had in years. All three of us barely came up for air or wine because the foodDon t tell my mom but the lamb chops were tied for the best lamb chops I ve ever had next to my moms. Thank you so much for everything! You might not normally associate a roast chicken dinner with an expertly crafted and truly memorable fine dining experience ...but you surely will at Sedona! Four unhesitant thumbs up from my wife and I following what was our first (but certainly not last) visit.

I wish I could give this restaurant at least 10 stars. The restaurant is quaintly located on the corner of a lovely neighbourhood. Floor to ceiling windows provides the perfect amount of lighting to highlight the modern yet comforting dining space. Everything is very chic and tasteful. Absolutely everything is impeccable. We were very warmly greeted at the door and kindly led to our table. Our hostess that evening was also our server and one of cooks! Yvonne was courteous, witty, efficient and a most wonderful human being. The food. It is to die for. It is a small and very well thought out menu. Everything is so well prepared. We started with the Caesar salad, and everyone should start with the Caesar salad. My father-in-law was spooning up the last bits of dressing. Best Caesar salad I have ever had. I had the Wednesday feature of ribs, my husband had the steak and my father-in-law had the gnocchi. It was all so mouthwateringly delicious. We were just short of licking our plates. We then finished off with the sticky toffee pudding I am slightly drooling thinking about it. I would add this restaurant to the top of your list of places to eat in Victoria. If you re celebrating an occasion, having a good day, having a bad day just go! My father-in-law has lived on the island for 10 years and proudly stated this is the best meal he s ever had here. I agree. Also, I cannot wait to go in the warm weather their patio is dog friendly!

A friend of ours mentioned that he was frequenting Sedona and invited us to come join him for Wednesday Wing Night. What a wonderful culinary experience! We are so happy to have found this little gem. We had the wings (full sized and baked) and added an order of Ribs. Honestly, there was little conversion during this great feast...the food was that good! Hard to talk when you are constantly trying to get the next bite in! Our Hostess/ Server, Yvonne, one of the owners, mentioned that she had just made some Sticky Toffee Pudding...if we were interested. Fantastic!!! Cant wait for Thursday Burger Night. I ordered the Thai meatball dish in coconut milk.So delicious I needed a spoon to break the meatball up into the sauce to convert it more into a soup. Luckily the spoon fit the bowl nicely so I was not reduced to licking the bowl. I know they have the best burger in town and looking forward to taking the family to Sunday Prime Rib night.

Went to Sedona for the first time tonight and had a lovely time. Beautiful restaurant and delicious food. We tried the deconstructed cheesecake for dessert and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend.

First visit last night for prime rib. Head and shoulders better than all of the area offerings I ve tried. Lovely space - wonderful owners. Can t wait to return to try more of their menu.

This place is a hidden gem. Yvonne is amazing, our meals perfection on a plate, with an artIstic eye to detail. We love the decor, stylish but not stuffy, only surpassed by the service and the food. My halibut and vegetables were so flavorful and the grilled, compressed watermelon a perfect summer accompaniment. Hubs had mouth-watering roasted chicken, a choice of white or dark meat, with mashed potatoes and vegetables. He cleaned his plate. They have a great and innovative wine list that matches the quality of the food. Its nice to see something other than BC wine on a list. Variety is the spice of life. K&J

Our first visit & we went in on prime rib night as a generic sure why not dinner out option, but honestly the best prime rib Ive had in the city & the first time Id actually plan to return for it as a special treat. A beautiful cut, cooked to perfection & just melts in your mouth - the only challenge is deciding what we liked best between the outstanding horseradish, delicious snap peas, great americano, and crazy good coconut panna-cotta desert. Enjoyed the atmosphere & chatting with the chef/owner. Thanks for a great dinner - looking forward to our next visit!

Just had the Sedona Burger at Sedona Cafe in Oak Bay Victoria! It aaaamazing! Fresh made and the salad with Yvonnes homemade dressing was delish! Then we had the stickt toffee pudding with Yvonnes homemade ice cream...to die for!! The patio is gorgeous and the perfect place for date night! Check it out! Foodie heaven!

Sparkling service, great food and imaginative beverages. A great hidden gem at a corner I used to cut on my bike as a child. If you are old enough to recall Chews TV, the fish and chip shop and the old lawnmower repair shop, toss those memories aside as this little gem is your new hangout. A really enjoyable evening.

Waited at the door for 10 minutes entirely unacknowledged. When seated, I was told by the server/bartender/hostess that she was really busy. Appeared to be a two person operation on the Wednesday evening I arrived (one front of house and one back of house). I counted five tables seated and was confused how the server could be so fraught across so few guests being served in such a small space. I eventually left when the server opted to being clearing a table rather than serving me or communicating with me in any way while I continued waiting for her. I cant decide if she was simply too green to effectively run the dining room solo or if I was being purposely ignored because I wasnt dressed the part - - probably both. Either way, its unfortunate. I was looking forward to a steak and glass of wine before flying out of Victoria. It only takes a minute to apologize to a guest and communicate what they can expect based on the capacity of the business to serve their customers.

Amazing food, talented chef, lovely decor and style! We tripped upon this gem of a restaurant when we were looking for a special occasion dinner location and we are so glad we did. Had the most brilliant time chatting with the owners and she even made my food per my special request with great humour and good nature. The halibut turned out better than I could have expected and those grilled veggies, yum! I cannot say enough good things about the atmosphere, service and decor at Sedona, an all around great evening and we will definitely be back the next time I m in Victoria. If you go, enjoy!

Great, loved the whole experience. To start with the interior is designed with incredible style and is very elegant. We were welcomed and served by James who was a truly top class waiter. Friendly, accommodating and professional at all times. Drew, the chef is incredibly talented. Every dish that we had was subtle in its flavours, harmonious created and beautifully presented. There was also no hint of annoyance when I explained that Im vegan and asked if the Vegetable board could be made vegan. An immediate Yes, came from Drew. He then went on to prepare a really wonderful selection of beautifully crafted samples. Every bite was delicious. The wine selection is thoughtfully varied with many local wines as well as others from France, Italy and America. We got the impression that every aspect of this Cafe/Lounge has been thought out and its super nice to have an elegant place where we can simply enjoy a glass of wine with tapas rather than an entire meal. A great addition to the neighbourhood and to Victoria. Well definitely be going back soon and totally recommend it.

First time at Sedona - great experience! Kind, friendly staff and food was AMAZING. I d highly recommend The Sedona Burger, it was the best burger I ve had in a long time. Will definitely be coming back to try more from their menu!

First time tonight.. the Gnocchi was SO good. My husband had the Sedona burger and we split the Tiramisu for dessert (divine). All home made. Server was great. We sat on the patio and it was pleasantly warm with their heaters (covid restrictions require patio). Overall it was perfect. Well come again.

If I could give zero starts I would! Worst quality ingredients, poor execution and terrible portions! Service was good though. Advice to management: get proper cooks!

Upper scale dining at a very modern neighborhood operation with a fancy layout. We had their weekday breakfast which ranged from $12 to $22. The Classic Breakfast ($16) was very tasty with a chorizo patty, bacon, roasted potatoes, eggs how you like it, and sourdough bread. My wife had the Taco de Huevos Breakfast ($15) consisting of three tacos with very fresh toppings. The server brought a small pot of coffee ($7) to the table that provided for 4 cups. All in all, we were stuffed, the food was far better quality and presented than expected and it cost around $20 per person for a plate and coffee - prior to tip. We will definitely be back again.

We were so excited about this place opening since we live within walking distance but unfortunately we will never go again. We went one evening (it was quiet inside) just after they had opened with the plan of doing some work on our laptops while we waited for our food. As we walked in we were greeted by a very nice host who was about to walk us to our table but the owner or manager (lady with curly hair) came over and asked us what we were doing. We said we had plans to do some work while having a drink and waiting for our food. She said this was a fine dining restaurant for people to have dinner. My boyfriend then offered to leave and she responded with that would be great. We were absolutely shocked as was the host. I have never been treated so poorly in a restaurant before. I would also like to point out we were dressed appropriately and the restaurant was not busy at all. We walked past the restaurant a week later and they had put up a sign saying no laptops. Needless to say we will never go back, which is too bad since were planning on being regulars. Honestly if you want fine dining (not that this place could be classified as that) go somewhere else in Oak Bay or downtown.

My husband and I moved to Victoria in December and stumbled upon Sedona while exploring the area. It has been a treasure of a find, such a beautiful dining experience, from the friendliness of the staff to the ambiance of the surroundings. The cuisine is exquisite, each dish individually prepared by the chef with attention to the smallest detail, and the flavors are divine. The cocktails are distinguished and intoxicating, it s hard to stop at one. Sedona has become our favorite place to frequent on the weekend. Highly recommend .

Meh. Victoria was having a deck-only moment, so it was hard to find a seat which finally brought us to try Sedona. In fairness, we both only had the tuna tataki appie (with a strange, unappetizing gluggy slaw on the side). I wouldn t order it again, even though it s my fall-back at most places, most of the time, because it s usually good (or good enough), and goes nicely with a glass of Prosecco (while my partner goes for the Bigger Plates). However, however, apart from the not-great tuna, the real sticking point was (is) the $12 per glass of on-tap Prosecco. On-tap Prosecco is just a bad idea at the best of times, to be avoided, but for that price point it s just cheeky. So, Sedona given the combination of indifferent service, a tinny vibe on the patio, and food-I-wouldn t-come-back-for is a no. At the moment.

Very chic cute little spot that feels exclusive yet inviting. The fancy cocktails make me feel like a baller, the food was delicious and quickly made. A great place for a glamorous meal.

Loved it. Very nice staff. We had no reservations, however, they sat us at the bar, we were by ourselves. One of the nicest meals I ever had. A halibut dish. OMG, I think we are going again in a few days and enjoy the same dinner. The views were awesome and the staff even better. I totally recommend you go.

Top notch prime rib that is really well prepared. Yorkshire pudding that comes with the meal is excellent as well as the gravy. Will definitely be coming back, easily in my top two of prime rib meals Ive had (and Ive had a lot!)

We had such an amazing experience here. The atmosphere is beautiful. The outdoor patio is warmed with fire torches and over head heaters. The owner was warm and welcoming along with all the staff. Wanted to try something new tonight, stumbled upon this chic lounge. At first, I wasn t sure about the smaller menu but OH MY GOD every bite of the 3 different dishes were to die for. The service was absolutely incredible despite the staff shortage during COVID. I will be coming back this Sunday for their prime rib night.

Id like to share a recent experience my partner had at Sedona. I have been to Sedona at least 10 times since moving into the building as I enjoy supporting local and have throughly enjoyed the food and drinks with friends and family. Despite the delicious food and drinks, my partner and I have continually experienced very poor customer service from one of the owners, Yvonne. Unfortunately, she comes across as very rude and standoffish. From a very recent experience, Yvonne was very confrontational to my partners out-of-town guest who arrived first to the restaurant and was coming across as very angry that we wanted to enjoy a coffee/tea at 4:30pm (made a reso). Her message was clear from the beginning yet she proceeded to continually explain and raise her tone as to why we should not have made a reservation. While I understand and respect the owners decision after having her explain it to us the first time, there was no need to repeatedly confront and raise her voice at us, especially while the restaurant was empty at the time except for two people who were sitting at the bar. Our plan was to enjoy a tea and a coffee and depart the restaurant before it got busy to ensure that guests who were planning to dine at the restaurant could do so. In fact, we gave up our reservation and sat at the next empty table. Unfortunately due to this confrontational experience with Yvonne, I do not plan to return with my friends and family anytime soon for a meal. Its unfortunate as I do enjoy the food and their bartender makes fantastic drinks.

Just dropped in for coffee and pastry. Lovely service and pleasant space, that manages to be covid-compliant without being awkward. The breakfast (7am to 3pm) menu looks very interesting. Well return for brunch soon.

Sedona Cafe is a new 50 seat restaurant with soaring ceilings, modern furniture and massive south facing windows making for a fresh, light filled dining experience. It is airy, spacious and virus cognizant using wood tone space separators. The menu is filled with delectable offerings ranging from breakfast bagels, coffee & croissants to dinner steak and wine. You can sit in the sun on the expansive deck with its industrial strength heaters for those cooler days and nights. Sedona Cafe brings an au courant menu, modernity and style to the Oak Bay dining scene. Located at 2296 Cadboro Bay Road.

The food is delicious. We had the steak bites and the Portobello burger both were 5 star quality! Would recomend this restaurant

This space is aesthetically quite pleasing. Serving staff are very nice and welcoming. The menu is certainly appealing although somewhat pricey for what appears to be basic ingredients (not local, organic, fair trade and all that jazz). Coffee is supplied by Canterbury so dont expect much from the fine looking espresso equipment! Oddly, the typical Americano here is about a 5 ounce pour in an 8 ounce glass - not high to chase a snack with. The croissants did not l look good, a berry muffin was alright - a little dry, crunchy without enough berries. The Avocado Toast was excellent, and reasonably priced at $10. Open for the three meals of the day, we will to go back to try more. Ill choose from the extensive tea menu instead of having coffee...

Comfortable, with great service but no Customer internet access

You have to have some compassion for any restaurant owner in this current climate. The owners have certainly taken a leap of faith to ensure their dream is a reality in our community. We are guilty of being foodies to the core! Not as picky on price as we are quality and service. We went there on Saturday for a few pre game cocktails and a charcuterie plate, we enjoyed the room, the drinks and the service. The 4 of us thought this could be a staple in the community. Tonight we took Date night to Sedona and shared 3 mains and 2 appetizers to give the menu a whirl. Halibut special- Nailed it! Chicken dinner- Nailed it! Burger- Nailed it! We had the steak bites and gnocchi to start, we were less blown away, discussed with James (great service) our lack of socks been blown off on the appetizers. I don t think this was on deaf ears. All in all: Support this place. They are a part of our community and trying to make a go of things with 3/4 of their seats (revenue opportunities) taken from them. Prices are fair for food quantity and quality. I d love to see them succeed, we will be back and so should you! Thanks Sedona team, you have brought us back twice and it won t be the last. Very nice relaxing environment food was a 5 star for me. Only reason I gave it a 4 star was because the manager owner was cleaning the windows an banging chairs around us well were enjoying our breakfast. Next time skip that area untill no one is sitting at that table.

Great locale and outdoor space but disappointing Covid protocols. Servers wear masks but owner/managers, who often help out servers when busy, do not wear masks and do not socially distance. When questioned about this, the response was that they were in and out of the kitchen so not realistic to wear masks.. Kitchen staff do not wear masks.

Small portions and high prices. Very chilly inside even though I wore a sweater, jeans and knee high boots. Friendly staff and nicely decorated. Still new and room to improve :)

Great place for lunch and coffee. Looks like it might be good for a dinner. Only complaint was the too loud rock music being played. Love music but not at that level.

A unique, fancy and friendly atmosphere. Open kitchen is a nice touch as the cooks/menu arent limited and so you can see the flair and work they put into your food. And food was delicious to top it all off. Would definitely recommend.

This new neighbourhood addition hits all the right bars, great food, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Covid safety measures in place, a fabulous mid-century modern decor.

Service was prompt and friendly. Libations menu was quite varied, a nice thing to have many and good choices.

Excellent esspresoo, and good looking in house pastries, pan au chochalote,danishes, and b fests.
