Oh my goodness. It was so so delicious. My tummy is the opposite of empty. My soul is satiated. The bright lights welcome you + with Salam Victoria, offering you peace in this lovely space. You were greeted by displays of delicious, yummy, tasty things. Order whatever you want. Its all going to be delicious. We had the falafel wrap as well as the lentil bowl. Both were so so yummy-tastic. But we didnt stop there. We had desserts. Two desserts. Yum! Yum! Yum! Yum! Yum! Yum! Yum! Yum! Yum! Yum! Yum! Yum! Yum! Yum. That is an apt review of this place. Just a series of yums in a row. Followed by nothing else, but your heart feeling full. After this, you may need a nap. In fact, two naps. The first nap is to digest. Second nap is to dream about this place again. Vegetarian options: Vegan yum

Victoria is lucky to have Syriana. In all honesty, one of the best shawarmas I have ever had. Literally every dish there is fresh, elegant, and super tasty.

Had a good meal here. Rice and meat. I asked for one shish tawook one boneless leg but they gave me two boneless leg and one beef haha. It was near closing but they were still very polite. Super cool place for halal and tasty food

A modern lunch place. Food is very fresh and prices are low in comparison to the meal size. Arabic coffee, baklava are highly recommended as a finishing point to a meal Kid-friendliness: Yes Wheelchair accessibility: Street level, wide areas between tables. Might be a step or a door sill at entry.

Came to buy for some fresh uncooked falafel (dough) in order to cook them for dinner and i was told they were not selling that. It s surprising as catering is supposed to be their business. I guess it s all frozen now so ill go to wholesale ! Service : 1/5

My brother suggested this restaurant and we absolutely loved the food. It was fresh and tasty. The portions were a good size. My husband and I shared the chicken shawarma and I can t stop thinking about it. We also had pita and hummus-so creamy and not too garlicky. We had the baklava and it was delicious. We enjoyed the food so much that I ordered several appetizers there for a party we were having. Try Syriana out!

Ohhhh the mighty Shawarma! I ve tried the shawarma from other restaurants in Victoria and they are good. The shawarma served at SYRIANA is the best. The toum is perfect. The wraps are tightly rolled and then sealed on the panini press. The wraps are a very decent size and the price is only $12.00!!

Would not return. Nothing like a real shawarma. Dry meat and extremely oily bread. It was soaked in oil and barely edible.

Such delicious and varied food! As people who have travelled in areas of that food family, we were blown away by the range of flavours offered and the quality. Very reasonably priced (ate a variety of small plates for four people at just over 40$ and were very satisfied) Friendly staff as well! We will be making it a regular stop.

Really slow service on 31st August 2024. We ordered Kibbeh, Hummus and pita bread, a very simple order. The hummus took 30mins, and then the pita bread (slightly undercooked) and Kibbeh turned up 5 mins later. Good food but waited far too long, with no apology for the wait.

Dine in at 3 pm. Food came very quick and the food didn t tasted good it was not even hot. It was warm and looked like the kabab and rice was cooked few hours before.

Really nice clean modern restaurant. I came here to get chicken shawarma. I have gluten intolerance and they were able to make it without the wrap which was amazing ! Loved our food, super delicious, everything was freshly made including the fries, and also very affordable. Definitely coming back !

Best middle eastern food in vic

That first bite of the chicken wrap was amazing. Nothing is overwhelming, their homemade toum is great, chicken is tender, the wrap is a nice crispy exterior, and the pickles help cut the greasiness. But it does get pretty heavy from all the oil.

We came on the recommendation of a friend, and its good that we did, it was worth it! The experience was beyond expectation. The food is fresh, tasty and inviting. The service is excellent and the atmosphere in the place is so pleasant. We are very happy that we got to eat at Syriana Restaurant, for us it is one of the best of the restaurants her in Victoria. One of the best authentic Middle Eastern food I had in Canada. The food is great, authentic and the atmosphere and ambiance take me to Middle East. Visit them to have a breakfast over the weekend and youll be refreshed and wont need lunch . Try their lunch and dinner options with dessert, youll love it!

Amazing food, costumer service second to non and a beautiful atmosphere

Ordered take out and 3 out of 5 meals came wrong. As a vegan I am extremely disappointed that my falafel wrap came as a chicken wrap. Thats unacceptable. Our two falafel bowls also came with no salad of any kind- just dry falafels and dip. Will not order again and would not recommend to anyone vegetarian or vegan.

Sadly our order through Ubereats was really wrong and spoiled our meal. The falafel bowls came without the advertised salad of choice, and the falafel wrap for a vegan came as a chicken wrap. The meat dish came without requested hot sauce, and overall the food we did receive was mediocre. I strongly advise not ordering take-out, but rather eat-in as then you can send wrong orders back!

Delicious chicken shawarma, garlic sauce, pita and baba ganoush. All very flavourful and portions large enough to feel very satisfied. My only suggestion would be to add some vegetables like tomato, lettuce or cucumber to the wrap. Thank you for the great meal!

This is a truly amazing restaurant! The menu has a good selection to choose from and all the items we tried were excellent. Full of flavour, large portions, wonderfully prepared meat and vegetables. Both the food and Baraa were amazing! The food was incredibly delicious and Baraa - the young gent at the till - came to check on us and even brought us extra pita when he noticed we were running out (allowing us to pay afterwards, but keep eating and enjoying our dinner). This is easily the best place we ate in our 2 day stay in Victoria. Their baba ganoush was top notch. Pita bread was amazing. Our first order of pita bread was fresh out of the oven. When we repeated it, however, it wasn t as hot. So how fresh is a bit of a hit or a miss, but no complaints on quality and taste nevertheless. We also tried their salads and hummus which were great. Their falafel was so so and felt a little under done for our taste.

Best shawarma ever! Now, I ve only ever had three shawarma in my life: one on Vashon Island, and a cursed one from the Cove dining facility at UVic that was bound to give me food poisoning the moment I set my eyes on it so maybe its not saying much but this place is amazing. I was NOT dressed for this place and that doesn t mean you have to dress fancy; I just mean I was dripping from swimming at Saxe Point and I was just in my swimsuit with a huge gash down my leg that was actively bleeding because of the barnacles I d run into earlier. Anyway, no one mentioned it and they acted like I was in normal clothes so props to them. Would highly recommend, delicious food and nice staff:) Kid-friendliness: There was a kid there and he seemed pretty friendly to me.

Something different for a fast lunch. They have beautiful side salads. This cheese thing was sooo good. Squishy warm pastry with creamy cheese. I dont have the name sorry Edit to answer: youve chosen a very low service model for your restaurant. Folks line up to order and collect their own meals. Condiments are single serving, up at the counter. Everyone who works there is lovely, the food is good. Its difficult to get any modifications. I will be back for another fatayer on my next carb day

If I could give Syriana 6 stars I would! I have become officially addicted to Syriana. The owner and her family are very polite and work so quick at making the dishes I ordered! If you want the best chicken in Victoria, I HIGHLY recommend The Rice and Meat combo with 2 Chicken thigh and fattoush salad! My absolute favourite!!! I ve been several times and the food is always great! The cheese fatayer and zaatar manakeesh are delicious, easy grab and go baked items. The moutabbal is so garlicky and flavourful, and the tabouleh is very fresh. I always try something new from the menu and so far, everything has been really good! Additionally, the owners and staff are so helpful and kind. 10/10 recommend.

The food was phenomenonal! So flavorful and fresh. Excellent service, excellent hospitality! Very clean space. We flew in from Calgary for 2 days and this restaurant was one of the top moments for us.

Ive had takeout from here before and its super good like super amazing place to go for Middle Eastern fix. A bunch of us dined in tonight and they were so friendly and accommodating for our large party,gifted a dessert and also a gorgeous cup and saucer for my arabic coffee. gorgeous flavours and great love put into all the food from start to finish. and ample portion sizes for the price .

We went here on a whim and I cant tell you how glad I am that we did. The food was phenomenal. It was real, fresh food. Also, it was affordable. We fed 3 adults for $51 and had left overs. It was nice to try something new and not be disappointed. I highly recommend the hummus, its so silky and smooth. The chicken wrap was great and I cant stop thinking about the Fattoush salad! It was so crisp and tasty. Definitely try it!

Seriously one of the best restaurants in Esquimalt. The produce is incredibly fresh. Everything on the menu is delicious. Lots of vegetarian or meat options. I m obsessed with this place. Vegetarian options: Around 40% of the menu is vegetarian so lots to choose from.

We are addicted to the cheese fatayers. Not sure how I would survive or how I survived without them. Best cheese pastry I ve ever had. Plenty of healthy options as well as vegan options. We eat a bigger quantity of food in one sitting and that is reflected in the price. You could definitely spend less money here than me. Such fresh and flavourful food! The staff are lovely too. We went with a group and sampled a range of food and absolutely loved our lunch. The kebbeh (meat balls -sort of) and falafel are the best I tasted since I was in Jordan years ago. The salads are refreshing; we really liked the red cabbage salad with pomegranite dressing and the roasted eggplant dip with garlic. I dont normally like baklava but this was a category of its own - freshly made each morning with a generous amount of pistachio but a welcome restraint on the honey. The end result is a sweet, but not cloying sweet, crispy treat. Clean and bright casual atmosphere. Cant wait to return!

Excellent food prepared with love by a family who understands hospitality. You could pay twice the price for food that is half as good. Tasty and well seasoned. You will not be disappointed. Baklava is the Syrian variety with pistachios which is a much milder taste than the Greek variety with walnuts.

The workers wear gloves while preparing your food, but they also run the cash and bus and clean tables...wearing the same gloves. Then they go back to making food with THE SAME GLOVES ON. Whats the point of that? They need a food safety refresher.
