Yummy afternoon tea! We got the Not-So-Wee tea. So yummy and filling. Make sure you are hungry! My favorite tea was the Mad Hatter.

Chinese people don t lie to Chinese people! ! Very delicious! Basically every dish is handmade! tasty! The boss and the staff are very patient. After the dishes are served, they will patiently introduce each dish to you. The tea is also very delicious!

We got a to go box today to have as a picnic meal and the staff were very friendly. I was surprised we werent offered a to go cup for the tea but that wasnt a big deal and we just had it at home. As for the food it was kind of hit or miss, but that was a personal preference thing, most of it was very tasty. My only real complaint is that they included some grapes that didnt seem washed (they may have been) and some blueberries that a few of probably shouldve been trashed rather than put in the box. I will probably go back. 8/10

Basically a small place in a strip mall. We had afternoon tea at three different places and this tied for 1st with the empress. Empress won with much better service, and better atmosphere, better normal food. White Heather won with better tea assortment, better tea, and MUCH better Gluten-free food. Food was absolutely amazing. The tea selections were wonderful and they have a bottle spice rack filled with different ones for you to smell . You can try up to 3 different ones per person. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Have tried many tea houses, this is my favorite so far. Will be coming back.

The atmosphere is relaxing and soft. Yu Yi is welcoming, friendly and very knowledgeable about the items. The tea selection is of lovely quality and a selection to fit every season and pallette. It pairs beautifully with the menu where nearly everything is house made and memorable. Nothing is overbearing in flavor but is very apparent that they use quality ingredients. My favorite tea house and will be coming back regularly and bringing everyone I know here.

We have had afternoon tea at White Heather several times and our experience this past weekend was fantastic as always. The food was fresh and delicious, and the tea selection is extensive. The service there is also amazing and attentive. The tea room is small but charming, and Oak Bay is a lovely neighborhood only a short drive or bus ride from the downtown core. Highly recommend White Heather for a lovely afternoon tea experience.

This afternoon tea spot is hands down the best on the island! The food is absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. I especially recommend it! I took my son there and he couldn t stop eating thats how good everything tasted. The coffee here is exceptional and stands out from other places. I heard they use the finest and most expensive coffee beans, and you can truly taste the difference. I highly recommend everyone to give this place a try.

The tea was so good! And the scones were out of this world! The Mad Hatter and Angels Blend teas were my favorite! And I ended up buying both of them! The customer service was amazing and elegant! It was a cute little tea house that felt welcoming and proper. I hope I can visit again someday!

The desert was very good and the tea had many choices to pick. The waiters are very nice to us.

I really enjoyed my first tea time at White Heather Tea Room. My group (group of 4) got the Signature Muckle where we picked our own teas and received an assortment of savory and sweet foods. We were so lucky to get a last minute afternoon tea reservation at this positively delightful tea room! The food was artfully prepared, and delicious. Though everything was delightful, the salmon scone sandwich, the quiche and the chocolate mousse were the tops for me! My husband came along (I made him -because it is part of our 20th anniversary celebration) and we both left with full bellies. The Mad Hatter tea, and the Maple Tea were both delicious, but the Mad Hatter (their house blend with notes of vanilla and cherry) was so exceptional, I HAD to take some loose leaf home to enjoy later. The kind staff made the visit extra special. A VERY worthwhile stop in Victoria! Dont wait until last minute to make your reservation though... it was a very popular spot.

Our tea was perfect, we were too full to actually finish the food. They kindly asked it to go. Service is fantastic, they were happy to make a few adjustments for dietary needs and they will explain what each item on the tray is too. If I were local I might make a regular habit of this place.

We chose White Heather over The Empress and I m glad we did. While The Empress is more luxurious, White Heather has incredible food and is more affordable. We paid around $46 USD per person. It s definitely more quaint but we loved our food and had a nice time together.

I will say that we are rather packed into the space and after getting served our tray we had a rather hard time getting the attention of the staff for more hot water. This is my first time to have the high tea experience. I went with my beau today. I tell you the ambience is very cozy. We ordered the Not-So-Wee-Tea (around $50-60) and we both were pleasantly full. Not to mention everything was delicious and savory. We got orientated to start eating from the bottom tier and work our way up (to the tasty desserts)! The tea biscuit chicken sandwich could use some black pepper (but I guess it s prepped intentionally bland) so customers can flavor it to their liking. Overall, I definitely would want to come back again, and bring our friends and families with us. The Mad Hatter tea is a must-try! I love it.

I was really excited to return to the White Heather, but a few years made a difference. Much more commercialized feeling, and while the first cup of tea was great, they were very scarce on service after your full tea was served. My tea grew cold quickly (I needed a cozy!). I asked for honey and received a small plastic container of Kraft honey. The scones were lovely, but overall, the Big Muckle was ho-hum. Im not sure Id return

Coming from the mainland we ran quite a bit behind schedule for our reservation, but the wonderful staff at the white heather tea room were so helpful in allowing us to move our reservation time to later in the evening. White Heather is such a charming place to do afternoon tea. The plates and set up is so cute. They have a great selection of teas too. I got the Wee tea set and my husband got the not-so-wee tea set and it was the perfect portion size of food. And the taste was so good too! My friend and I went to the White Heather Tea Room to celebrate our birthdays and it exceeded expectations. I have been to a few of these teas before at various places but White Heather really stood out. The service was wonderful and the food was very tasty and filling (so filling I had to take some home). The tea was delicious too. My friend has a few food allergies and sensitivities and the lovely people at the tea room were very accommodating which was very thoughtful of them. We will absolutely be back!

I took my Mom to the White Heather Tea Room for her birthday. We each had a Big Muckle afternoon tea. We were in love from the first bite of our warm earl grey scones! Everything was delicious and delicate. We were so full by the time we reached the dessert tier that we brought most of them to enjoy at home. They have a great selection of teas, and have little vials where you can smell the options available. A great feature! The service was as great as the food. We will be back!

Disappointed....expensive (per person) for the amount of food - 2 of the 3 people in our party left hungry. The staff deliver the tea, then deliver one tiered tray for your table (pre-ordered when you reserved) then came back to present the bill. The space itself is very small and quite loud. 3 stars at best

Myself and my two friends had a great time here! We each got a Wee Tea and it was a perfect amount of food. All of the offerings were delicious and I loved the wide variety. There was also a wide variety of teas which all sounded amazing. The service we received was great and overall 10/10 experience. I can t wait to go back again sometime! Vegetarian options: One of my friends had a vegetarian wee tea which had a lot of effort put into the substitutions which was nice to see because a lot of places do not try with their vegetarian options. It was easy for her to make this accommodation.

Had a very disappointing Mother s Day experience. We ordered a picnic box and when we went to pick it up it was put into 3 plastic boxes instead of a picnic spread as ordered. When I said it wasn t what we ordered, they said they couldn t do anything for us as they were too busy. Their only consolation was the offer not to leave a tip on the payment after they tried to charge $23 extra and I had to point out that the price is wrong. Thanks for that.

Afternoon tea for lunch time would be a highlight of this special place. You need to make reservations. My favourites are always the afternoon tea for lunch with warm scones, hor doeuvres, tea sandwiches and desserts. ($53.00) Very special attention is given so that everything you are going to eat looks lovely and tastes even better. I have purchased this to take away and took a friend to the top of Mount Douglas with a couple folding chairs, away from the people and enjoyed the meal and the vistas over the water for a special birthday. My dine in lunch fav is the sconewich with chicken/apple salad with salad $29 including the tea( and sometimes home made soup). Very delicious. Open Thursday to Sundays but check their website for hours. The homemade soup will be paused to the fall. I think the afternoon tea here is the best in the city. Homemade and brings good memories. It is a smaller tearoom, bright with light. Excellent service and calming atmosphere. The flavours are worth remembering. A lot of work going into making your food special here.

We came for afternoon tea on June 15th @ 1130AM, we ve been here previous times with good experiences however the service this day was exceptional our server was excellent. I wish we could remember their name for this review, shout out to them for making the experience 10/10.

We have heard great things about this lovely tea room, and having experienced tea service around the world, looked forward to this. We delighted in the Big Muckle spread as well as an expertly crafted quiche and flavorful chicken soup. My husband loved the soup so much, he had seconds. The Big Muckle was delivered on a beautiful tiered platter, and looked like perfection, from the scrumptious scones with delicious homemade preserves, to the delicately assembled sandwiches, and six glorious desserts that were artistically crafted. The quality and construction of the delicate morsels was superb and fit for royalty. The selection of teas was also of the highest quality, which included the Mad Hatter and Angel Blend. The staff is also very professional, and delivers exceptional service with a smile. If youre visiting Victoria and want the very best of the best high tea service, it is absolutely worth the very short taxi ride.

Surpassed any expectations, I highly recommend White Heather Tea Room, very positive experience. Kid-friendliness: I dont think having small children here would be a good thing, but more mature, well-behaved children would feel welcome.

Ordered the Wee Tea, that includes mini quiche, several petite sandwiches, fresh baked scones with Devonshire cream and homemade berry preserves. It is topped off with a selection of sweets. Reservations recommended, as it was full when we arrived at 11:30 am. Typical Tea room decor . Hot water refills for the tea were gladly provided.

I was here with 5 family members and friends today for the Muckle Afternoon Tea. Sloan provided exceptional service-- remembering every tea we requested, 6 × 3 different teas we all tried (finally an old fashioned teahouse where you can have 3 flavors). Sloan also arranged for our purchases of favorite teas afterwards- Rose Garden and Angels Blend. Thank you Sloan for creating an experience that makes this TeaHouse our favorite in Victoria!

White Heather Tea Room is definitely a must-go spot for afternoon tea. Their scones and creme brûlée are absolutely amazing. We tried two combos and they were both so tasty! The tea selection was laid out well on the menu and the layout was gorgeous with the floral patterns. Staff and food overall great! Would surely come back with friends another time:)

Its a nice restaurant for a date or hanging out with friends. Your choice of tea (with refillable hot water) is served with an additional food option. My favorite is the Signature Mucke tea, with three levels of food (attached photo). Reservations are recommended, since the space is not big and there is usually an important number of customers.

We went for High Tea at White Heather today and it was fantastic!! Our server Sloan was very helpful and informative on teas and treats. The room is elegant with white table cloth service and real English bone China. Stand outs: the ham pinwheel sandwich, the chicken salad in a scone, the cucumber sandwich and the baked goods all wonderful! Plus they had my favourite tea - Borengajuli Estate Assam!!! So perfect!!

This is thanksgiving set and we have plenty of food and joy. Nice place to have a gathering with friends and family here. All the sandwiches are awesome I really like the tiramisu as well

Very quaint without being pretentious. My MIL and I loved it. Food was delicious and the tea was very good.

Went there a few days ago for tea. The food was ok , scones a little dry but nice selection of tea. Can get quite loud as the space is limited. The carpet seemed old and tired and no real view of anything other than Oak Bay Ave. The staff was great, but won t be my go to place when entertaining visitors even tho this location is closer.

Delightful tea restaurant The server was excellent. He had perfect manners,and was willing to answer my questions. He even blended two teas for me to try. The food was excellent!! I highly recommend this tea restaurant ( little cafe style, not in a home). Parking: We did side street parking in front of a house. Kid-friendliness: This is not a place to take a child less than 12 yrs old. They have a sit still, in tight seating areas. Theyd have to like tea, and small bites...of things not offered on any kids menu. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, you could bring a wheelchair in, but very room to navigate around the room. Very tight seating areas.

Its even better than the famous Empress Hotel! From top-notch quality to a cozy atmosphere, this spot takes high tea to a whole new level of awesomeness.

Such a fantastic experience with the staff and I was so pleasantly surprised by my daughter to be taken out for my birthday. The loose tea to take home was the cherry on top. Thank you Vegetarian options: With a reservation ahead of time, I believe they can cater to dietary needs. Dietary restrictions: See above Parking: Easy around the corner and a brisk walk to get your appetite going Kid-friendliness: A lovely lady brought her two well behaved sons. When our kids were young it was important that they were able to attend different events to grow as people.

All the food was delicious!! Ive been to several other tea places but the food here is very tasty and filling. And the staff were very kind and friendly and let me try many kinds of tea. I would like to visit again on a special day. I had a wonderful time. Thank you very much!

Absolutely delightful food and the presentation is outstanding! Do yourself a favour and experience an afternoon tea at The White Heather Tea House! In my opinion, this gem of a tea house and menu sets the bar for all tea establishments. I loved this quaint place and from the moment I walked in, basked in the aroma of freshly baked scones! I selected The Wee Tea for one and to my delight, an uplifting, mouthwatering feast for the eyes. Lovely presentation of exquisite freshly baked goods, tiny cakes, bite sized quiches, delicately rolled sandwiches adorned with olives and edible flowers, cream fraiche and jams, all artistically displayed on my 3 tiered tea plate. The creative ladies working in the kitchen should be commended for the work they do. Outstanding! Don t think about it, just hurry, go and treat yourself!

All the food pieces was beautifully presented and delicious. I was totally sated by the end of the high tea.

This is the place to have a great Afternoon Tea. Homemade goodness in every bite.

My first high tea and it was scrumptious. I went with a group of six friends and I highly recommend reserving your spot as the second sitting was full when we got there. Friendly service and amazing food, we all even took some home as the portions are generous. The pastry chef owner is a true artist. Passionate about her craft and excited to try new things, it was a delight to meet her. My favourite selections were the melt-in-your-mouth Earl Grey shortbread and the mysterious savory canapé with a crisp base, warm cheese filling, and slivered almond top. You will leave full and happy.

Skip the Empress tea room and go here, its so much better, for half the price. (You can tour the Empress later if you want to see it. The tea room there is kind of a tourist trap.) We had The Big Muckle, for two people it made for a generous lunch, and some snacks to take back to our hotel.

I love this place! Its so quaint and the food is always delicious. They make the perfect cup of Earl Grey tea. Will be back soon :)

Such a lovely experience. The service is wonderful and friendly, and the food was delicious. The chef came out to explain one of the creative creations she had made - an apple pie sablé! I will recommend this place to all my friends who come visit Victoria.

Absolutely delicious! The gluten free tea was incredible and well paced. Service was amazing. It was an all around amazing tea! We ate it so quickly we didn t even have the chance to take a photo!!!

Delicious, dedicated, and delightful. This family-run tea house was a pleasure to experience for my partner and I on our first afternoon high tea experience. The finger sandwiches are delicious, the scones are moist and buttery, the shortbread is to die for, and the tea selection is very wide-ranging. You can make a reservation (and I highly recommend doing that) for any level of portions that suits your needs or just do a regular lunch. Either way its going to be great.

I got the 14 piece high tea and it was so worth it! I loved everything they gave. The service was amazing and the staff were friendly! I d definitely come back :)

I ordered the Elizabeth teabox and it was fantastic. Everything was arranged beautifully and was so delicious, especially the candied ginger shortbread and the mango-pineapple poundcake. Looking forward to coming again in a different season and seeing what new flavors they have!

Had a wonderful experience trying out the afternoon tea at White Heather. It s a cozy tea room with two seating times for afternoon tea. There are four tea sets to choose from. I tried the Wee Tea ($42) which includes scones, sweets & savouries and your choice of tea. It was a good amount of food as I was unable to finish everything! I especially enjoyed the swirl sandwiches, shortbread and tarts.

This was by far the best tea house I have been to. Now it is not fancy at all. Not the typical vintage looking tea house. This was the best tasting tea I really ever had. Such amazing quality and amazing flavor. You can taste the love and pride that goes into the making of the delicious scones, sandwiches and desserts. Wow! The shortbread was over the top in flavor and texture. Wow wow wow. The owner and her staff were knowledgeable and the presentation of the food and tea was spectacular. Do not go anywhere else! Parking: Parking in the back. So convenient Kid-friendliness: Brought my teenagers. They loved it

We were so excited to share the full tea experience with our boys, who are gluten-free. It was great knowing we had a safe option besides the Empress. The care with which each item was made and presented was seen and tasted. The tea blends were delightful and I ended up buying some tea to take home with us. It was a delicious experience that none of us will forget.

Not a single other tea place in Victoria asks for $55 PER PERSON reservation fee before you even arrive. What a rip off.

White Heather Tea Room was recommended by a local to the area. We made a reservation for the 1:30 tea and settled into a cozy table for 2. The service is friendly and attentive. The presentation was beautiful and the quality and taste of the food was excellent. I would recommend this place for high tea in the Victoria BC area.

A lovely experience Everything was delicious and beautiful. Joeann was our server and she was charming and delightful. My friend had the Big Muckle and I had the gluten-free tea. So nice to have such lovely gluten-free options - often the GF menu items are not as pretty or interesting, but White Heather rose to the challenge. We are already planning a return visit!
