The only bright spot in our experience was our server. She was very friendly and personable. We ordered the Calamari, which was clearly frozen and then fried. The portion was very small and overpriced. We ordered the Brisket Tacos. The Brisket was overcooked and very hard. We found a jerk place down the strip after we had eaten here We would have saved allot of money if we would have waited to eat at the Jerk stand. Bananas definitely stays open because it is 1 of only 2 patio restaurants on the strip. Time to step up your food quality!!

Alicia seemed nice. Got there when there was only 4 tables being served, But waited forever for the bill trying to get her attention many times waited over 15-20 to get her attention as she was serving every other table & only gave us drinks then never checked in again. No option to tip reflecting the service given.

Went to wasaga for long weekend, didn t think there was going to be a night life. But surprisingly bananas and the strip was really good at night. Good crowd, did not expect it.

Our Server was very attentive, the drinks were strong and there were lots of photo ops. Parking: Wasaga Beach offer $20 all day parking

$20 for a three ounce burger ..plastic everything, can t even get a real fork. $1.50 extra for franks red hot, which isn t even real hotsauce. Service was great. I will not ever return.

Terrible service. Waitress was very rude and was demanding a big tip for serving a small meal. When we left the restaurant there was a cocky comment towards us. We will never return. Dont recommend going. Prices are extremely high for such poor and disgusting food.

There was a puddle of oil in the undercooked calamari costing $17 plus tax with it looking like a handful of calamari; the smallest portion I have ever seen. The sever did offer a new calamari, but by then my stomach was starting to turn off the 3 pieces i ate. Kitchen manager sitting 3 tables away could not be bothered to get up and greet the table but gave us 50 percent off the dish. The only thing keeping this review 2 stars is the server

Very rude disrespectful staff. Yelling and honking at another company while the other company was trying to do their job and put garbages in the dumpster while banas bar staff was yelling at them to move the van and honking at them very self centered dont care staff!!!!! Disrespectful and rude

Over $70 bill for two drinks and two appetizers for me and my wife was padded 18% for gratuity as is their policy for groups 6 and over. Is that even legal? Wings werent bad but we will never go back.

Its a nice bar, sad for places like this in old thriving communities that got knocked down a peg. Locals state wasaga has never been the same since false reports the entire place burnt down around 2010. Its still here just a little derilict. This bar is nice though as youd expect in a dying community their prices are a bit on the higher side and the service is a littlelack luster. Im not sure if its the strip but I had a mojito here and reading reviews apparently Bananas and Dardenellas has a rotten mint leaf problem... and tbh a bit of a rotten bartender problem; if you cant make the call to exclude your rotten mint leaves from your 11$ plastic cup drink. I now know why they charge what would seem an arm and a leg in the city, 9$ for a drink at a decent pub. Let me tell you ive never missed home more in terms of pricing. Otherwise probably the best bar on the strip right now.

One of the coolest beach club. Amazing beach view and best thing about it is music. You will freaking love the music there where the whole floor was vibrating with bass . Definitely go visit.

The bartender double charged my friend and would not give him a refund. Then when the manager gave us a refund the bartender had the audacity to say that we weren t allowed back. First and last time going here

A nice patio and location but unfortunately didnt have a great experience here. We came for lunch looking for a quick bite to eat, we ended up waiting over an hour for our food. I think the server must have forgotten to ring in our orders because we saw quite a few people around us who sat after us getting their food. Then when the server acknowledged we still didnt have our food (and said it was the kitchens fault) he said it was coming but when it came, around 20 mins later, our order was wrong. The server immediately said it was the kitchens fault for sending the wrong dish and that he was gonna go ring in the right dish. At this point we just wanted to leave so we cancelled the order and just split the one dish. The mojito was also not great (not sure it was even a mojito what I got but tasted like lime grenadine and sprite). Regardless, I know people make mistakes and no biggie if you own up to it, but feeling like our server was avoiding us and then acting upset about us not wanting them to remake the dish they sent out wrong (after waiting an hour) left a bad taste in my mouth and dont think I would go back.

Have been going to Wasaga Beach for at least 25 years. At one time Bananas was a great place to stop for food and a drink. Went this past weekend. Absolutely horrible experience! We ordered 4 meals, 2 burgers and 2 wraps. After waiting for quite some time, the 2 burgers were served. Our server commented that he didnt know why all the food did not come out at once. We waited and waited for the other 2 meals to come out. The server did not know what was taking so long and stated he was fighting with the kitchen. This is after we flagged him down as he was avoiding us. After a minimum of 1/2 hour to 45mins after the burgers were served, I went inside and a waitress asked if she could help me. I explained the situation and at some point a tall gentleman came up and asked what the problem was. I again explained the situation. He asked what table we were at and who our server was. I told him and went and sat back down wrongly assuming we would get our food. No such luck. When we again asked the server where our food was, he just shrugged. My daughter and I left to go get something to eat. While my husband was paying, the server stated he had to take it higher up to get the wraps removed from our bill. Are you kidding me!!! We never got our food and should have received a discount for all the hassle. I have never experienced this before and would never go back. I will also make sure to tell everyone I know to spread the word about this horrible restaurant! Had to give it 1 star to post but would give zero stars!

Watch out for the fraud bartender, secretly gave himself a huge tip included in the bill. Unfortunately I didn t catch it until looking over the bill the next day. Also a very creepy security guard . Food was actually really fast and good. Drinks tasted like $5 drinks but cost $12.

I wish I could give no starts. I eat there for lunch today, both my wife and I now have stomach issues. I should not have eat the food. Before the food arrived I attempted to use the wash room. The place was so disgusting and no toilet was flushing...I let the bar tender know. He absolutely did not care and instead provided a cocky response that made it clear I was wasting my time letting him know. This in the public facing part of the garbage restaurant...I regret not walking out. I didnt realize Wassaga Beach was such a dumb...this restaurant is just a symptom of a run down dumb of a place. Really too bad to see such potential wasted.

this sucked. didnt even get to eat as we waited around 20 minutes without seeing a server, we even went in and let them know we were waiting and still didnt get a server. the only free 4 person table was dirty- even a few empty bottles and plates that we had to move to a different, even dirtier table. the menu honestly looked really good and unique- its too bad we didnt get to try anything! also the security guard was weird, made me open my clear water bottle? odd

We went to Wasaga for a girls weekend ( bachelorette party and Birthday party)! we were told this was the place to go to. So Saturday night we decided we would come here and enjoy the club part. At the bar, there were quite a few people waiting on drinks, and the bartender just stared. We had to have one of us be like oh hey can you help us... the seating is weird for a club and the bathrooms were very dirty ( beyond just sandy feet) We are also all certain that the liquor is watered down. The music was electronic which is fine but not a lot of it was made with newer music that most people would enjoy actually parting too, its like someone looked up a YouTube playlist of house electronic music. No proper flow. You should really consider getting an actual DJ. So we all made a decision we would never come back... however, We went back 2 days later to enjoy the days atmosphere on the patio and food. The bathrooms were disgusting. our server who was a blonde woman I found her to be very friendly! 3 of our party decided to leave and go back as there wasnt anything wed personally want on the menu the other 3 stayed and ordered food. It took over an hour for the food to come out and ended up being in the wrong order. The food was okay nothing crazy. The view is great and I Will say considering we were a group of 6 loud women we were treated well! so really if it was cleaner and they played better music I would bump my marks up!

We had a fabulous waitress Saturday afternoon. It was busy and she was on it. The drinks were great and so was the food! After reading a few bad reviews we weren t sure but it was delicious, great service, food and drinks.

Hum! What to say? Its Sunday, its 39 degrees with humidex, there are a lot of people at the beach, its not even 5 p.m. and were already running out of Philly steak! The sandwich and steak tacos are no longer available and they had just told us that it was the specialty! The margarita is not served with sugar, it is better with salt. On the other hand, the strawberry daiquiri was delicious!!

Went there last night with 4 of us for dinner. The waitress was great. Was totally honest with her opinions on what we should order and not order. Half the apps werent available which was strange to me. A restaurant should always be in stock with all the things on the menu if youre advertising it in my opinion. But went with other stuff. All the food was great. I ordered the Bananas burger I think it was called. The patty was TINY like slider tiny on a big bun. Should have been bigger in my opinion not slider size, but was still good. Delicious food, the long island iced tea I had was delicious (so many places get that wrong), and the waitress was awesome. Missing a star cause of the many apps not avail, the tiny sized burger, the tables and chairs are super wobbly and need to be upgraded, and the bathroom wasnt the cleanest. But would be back cause of the food being good

Passing through Wasaga we stopped here for some food. The young staff were very pleasant and helpful. Plus the burgers were the best. Yumyum!!

Came to this place as the street was closing at 9pm, was greeted with warm friendly staff that ensured we had a great time as a family and an excellent meal. Food was excellent quality for bar style food, and served within reasonable time. Tess and Mike were fantastic hosts that night and ensured we were served well. (7 Adults and 2 Kids)

Very crowded place. Makes you think its a good time. I ordered a glass of wine here and it was very expensive especially considering it came in a tiny clear dixie cup and wasnt very good. I understand not all places will have good wine but all their drinks are over priced . Also management is very rude was with our dd and he was told either buy a beer or get out .this made it a very unpleasant experience as we werent going to stay if he wasnt able to stay in less he drank...

$9 Bud Light cans and mandatory 18% gratuity even when everyone is paying for themselves. Staff are very nice and accommodating but have to follow rules. 10 of us left after finding this out and did not order a meal and went to another restaurant.

Poor service, high prices and lack of quality in food and even drinks. Had to ask several times for a menu, drink did not have any alcohol in it so had to go back 3 times. Souvlaki was a tiny portion. Had to ask for dressing as server did not bother asking.

Unacceptably dirty patio, just covered in bugs, spider nests and bird poops. The waitresses commented that they would not clean the spiders, and managers were not concerned overall. I cannot comment on the food, as we did leave. An unfortunate experience for a place with such a prominent location on the Strip.

Turn the music down a little good Damn. Im a huge stereophile and love loud music but there is a time and place for everything. The music is much to loud and makes having a conversation and meeting people almost completely impossible without knowing sign language. Bar was understaffed and had little knowledge of basic drinks. I saw one guy wait for almost 20 minutes before he was served while the bartender Igmored him and served others that arrived long after him. Other than those two big things its not a bad looking place and the location is great. Please try to enhance your business by maybe training your bartenders better and hiring more. And also try to find a nice level of volume that is actually not crazy stupid loud

OMG - I got soooooo sick after eat here!!!!!! Avoid if you re going to the beach :( on top of that, out service was horrible. Celina our waitress forgot a bunch orders and instead or rectifying the situation decided to do jager bombs with a table of guys. She additionally messed up multiple bills and stole my change...YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS PLACE.

Came here for wasaga rally. Beer was cold, and the view was great. Bit dirty but with all the through traffic from the sandy beach Im not surprised. Cool beach bar.

Went for a quick snack and a couple drinks, chicken strips took 45 minutes to come. Busy place so expect atleast 15 minutes to be seated and another 45 for that food.

Conveniently located on wasaga beach, with a great view. The menu is limited in terms of food. The service was pretty good when i was there (afternoon on a Saturday). The outdoor patio seems family friendly and the inside has a typical bar ambience with open space. If i do go back, it would be for the view.
