After reading so many stellar reviews,we finally went yesterday for an early supper. I ve read 5 star reviews for other local places that ended up being decidedly NOT 5 star IMO. Beach 1 Smokehouse, however, delivered on the ratings, in spades. We each had a burger (1 Canuck; 1 Bacon/cheese), a poutine and onion rings. Everything EVERYTHING was simply outstanding. Real, homemade burgers; homemade onion rings (YAS!!!); fresh cut fries; fresh, fresh toppings; and on & on & on. Laz is the man. My only negative is what I suspect our new discovery is going to do to my waistline.

Best burger I have had at a restaurant in a very long time. Conversation while waiting for the food was great. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very beach feeling with great historical pictures of the area. Easy parking and a great variety of choices on the menu. Highly recommended!

Ordered 2 meals through Uber eats for pick up. When I got my meals and saw the portion size and compared it to the cost I was floored. What a complete rip off. The dirty looking cook said that he raises his price for Uber. Regardless, I m completely disappointed and won t waste another penny in that place.

I have to say ,wow !! I went there around 7 pm on Sat 9 Oct 5 . As I arrived there and they said they were closing? I thought thats weird? I thought they wanted customers to buy their food ? I dont plan on going back there! It like not knowing if they going to close early or I just wasting my to see if they are open ? Saw their post and said closed to 9 ?

Hey I hope others got in on Lazs Turkey Dinner ! It was Delicious Smoked Turkey ,candied Veggies,Stuffing ,mash Taters Gravy & Cranberry sauce too !! Beautiful Meal

This is the best food we have had in a while! Staff is really nice. My wife and I wanted to taste the different smoked meats, but it wasnt on the menu. The owner made us a sample meal. A bit of everything. Everything was excellent! The brisket, chicken, ribs, pork belly, and fries were perfect! Im not usually thrilled by ribs, but these were tasty and cooked to perfection. He even added a bit of chili that was real good. Generous portions. When we come back to Wasaga beach, this place will be on my mind.

I highly recommend this jewel on the beach. Portions are filling, food is flavoured packed, for anyone who appreciates smoked meats this menu will satisfy that craving. We had burgers, brisket on the bun and full rack of ribs they have thick tasty gravy for dipping. The fries and onions rings were delivereded crispy not soggy like other vendors. The Canuck Burger was delicious! The portion was large enough to satisfy my large appetite. Would certainly recommend stopping by for a meal.

I had the brisket sandwich with fries. Both were honesty outstanding. Fries were hot and crispy and perfectly salted. The brisket bun was fresh and complemented what was some of the best brisket I ve ever had moist and flavourful, perfect thin crust, just so so good. Service was also great and whoever made was in charge of the radio has fantastic taste - classic rock bangers the whole time. Very well done all around!!

This is Wasaga Beach s newest hidden gem folks! Go nowhere else if you are craving the meats! We had a feast last night. The brisket platter is a must and Laz s brisket recipe is sooo good I m still thinking about it the next day. He is a phenomenal chef cooking up real food, real potato fries and homemade beans! We are definitely coming back on the regular!

This was one of the best burgers Ive ever had! The high ratings are well-deserved. I tried the burger with brisket, and while its a bit pricier, youre getting quality, not fast food. The fries are hand cut too.

Owner is a piece of work and needs to take anger management classes. Maybe he should direct his concerns to his employees instead of his customers.

Smoked brisket Mac and cheese was fantastic, Memphis sauce was great, and the smoked Mac and cheese was unreal, service was fantastic, gave us a free sample of chilli, and everything is homemade, great people and great food

Beach1 Smokehouse at Wasaga Beach is a gem. The Maui burger was beyond words - the best burger and fries ever tasted. The staffs friendliness added to the overall experience, making it a perfect spot for a real food treat after a day at the beach. Its a must-visit for anyone looking for quality food in a relaxed setting by the beach! Parking: Easy to find spots on a weekday but, the spots are not all day parking they are for while you are grabbing your food!

Had the Nashville chicken sandwich and the smoked chicken, hands down best smoke chicken I ve ever had in my life ! Such amazing food you gotta check it out for yourself

First time trying the food here, let me tell you it s the best burgers we ve had ever! Cowboy burger and Maui burger are our favourites thus far. All have amazing flavour, are filling, and add a side of poutine and you are set!! Delicious food!! Can t wait to try other items next time! Thanks so much!!

I had the Cowboy Brisket burger with a grilled pineapple on it. This burger was amazing. Great contrast of sweet and savory.

Was skeptical because of only a few reviews, but the food alone gives this restaurant a 5 star rating. The food in wasaga is overpriced and tasteless, however we ordered the pork belly poutine and was extremely delicious. The French fries were freshly cut, pork belly was cooked perfectly, and bbq sauce was tasty. They did give an estimated wait time of 20 minutes due to the volume of orders, however we only waited less than 10 minutes during a busy time. Overall 5/5 food and experience!

Had the beef brisket it was delicious! This was honestly the only place we went to in wasaga because the restaurants were mostly chains and didnt look too good. Portion size here was good too!

YUMMMMM We ordered 2 brisket platters and there was enough for 4 people. Brisket was soooo good. Having leftovers today and still super yummy!! I dont usually like fries but these were excellent. Beans bbqey, slaw good but a bit too vinegary for me but my friend loved it. Very good value. Will definitely eat here again mext time in the area. Had krispy cremes to top off an excellent dinner. This was the best meal we had at Wasaga by far! We had the brisket poutine and rack of ribs, and both were excellent. The fries were perfection and the ribs were fall off the bone. Thanks so much!!

Grabbed a cowboy brisket burger tonight with onion rings. The brisket was smoked to perfection and the rings were top notch. Wasaga has gone a long time with mediocre beach food, but it looks like Beach1 Smokehouse is setting the bar pretty high. If you like good BBQ, give this place a shot and you wont be disappointed. *Went back later in the week and had a full rack of side ribs. Unbelievably delicious!

This is a little gem in Wasaga Beach! Food was delicious! You can definitely tell it is made with love and not just another fast food place! The Cowboy burger was huge! The brisket was fall apart delicious! The staff are extremely friendly. On top of their regular menu Laz creates other amazing board specials. Oh and the deep fried cheesecake is absolutely something to try!

We went twice this past week because it was that good. First time we had the Philly Brisket sandwich and poutine. The brisket was so tender and tasty especially with the onions peppers an bbq sauce and the poutine was great as well, double cooked fries and tasty gravy and cheese. You can t go wrong with that. The second time we had the ribs, thick juicy and tender ribs and a very tasty bbq sauce. We got the platter with the beans (sweet heat) coleslaw was a little watery and the poutine again. We also tried the deep fried cheese cake which was delicious with ice cream. Sorry forgot to take photos but they wouldn t do it justice. You have to try for yourself.

The way they treat their customers is HORRIBLE! They cant even get orders right 90% of the time.. people who say this is a good place must have been drinking on the beach all day.. As someone who went to culinary school and also studied customer service, this place is purely disgusting. Avoid at all costs

We were so excited to try Beach 1 Smokehouse. While we were waiting to place our order, the owner was talking down to the young employee on the cash register which was off putting. Then while we were placing our order, I told the cashier I wanted coleslaw instead of fries with my sandwich, he told me sides don t come with the sandwich, I showed him exactly where on the menu it says a side does come with the sandwich and he asked the owner for clarification on the price, the owner told him coleslaw was $3 extra. When we cited the menu that coleslaw was an included side, the owner was very condescending. Direct quote from their menu, Served with Fresh Cut Fries, Coleslaw or Baked Beans. Onion Rings $3 Poutine $4 or Specialty Poutine $6 punctuation matters. I went onto the patio to let my family know we d be leaving and another patron heard me speaking about what happened, they said who are you talking about? The owner? Yeah he s f n rough . Disappointed to say the least.

We stumbled upon this place during the busiest weekend and noticed it was open with food moving quickly. We were recommended the chicken BLT, and it did not disappoint. It was probably the best chicken sandwich Ive ever had. Despite the crowds, the two staff members worked efficiently under pressure, clearly accustomed to the weekend rush. I wish I had taken a picture of our sandwich, but it was so delicious I couldnt think of anything else but to dive in and devour it. Definitely check this place out! Very affordable!!!

Its about time Wasaga Beach gets a smokehouse! Ordered two Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwiches and they were absolutely delicious. The chicken was absolutely stacked on these sandwiches and I could taste smoke on the chicken... do they really smoke the chicken breasts too?!?! If so... amazing. I also had a short conversation with the owner Laz and he was a great guy. This local is super happy and hopes that Beach 1 Smokehouse has a prosperous future, I will be a repeat customer!

Best brisket I have ever had. Perfect ratio of meat to fat, perfect texture, perfect amount of smoke, very tender. I had the Philly brisket sandwich, would highly recommend. Everyone who works there clearly takes pride in what they are producing. Was nice to see the Chef touching the tables.

I went up to wassaga Beach. Saw this small restaurant I could hear the music and see the flashing lights caught my attention. I walked in to be greeted by lazy with a friendly hello while dancing to music and making food. I guess he enjoys what he doing. The food looked amazing and tasted even better. Lazy was very accommodating to my food allergies. Order a chicken sandwich tasted so good enjoyed every bite and the fried complimented it very nice. The patio was very nice and relaxing to eat the food. From inside had a nice view of beach also could eat and watch the water. Id definitely come back to eat here when I come back up to wassaga beach. Thanks laz for great service and great food you treated me like a real friend made me feel welcomed into your buisness. We ordered a full rack of ribs and the Maui burger. The ribs were fall off the bone, tender and the sauce used was soooo flavourful. And I did NOT know what I was getting myself into with the burger lol. It was much bigger than I had expected. I was in love after the first bite. Expertly grilled and the toppings were the perfect pairing to the beef and grilled pineapple. Also, the staff are extremely patient and courteous. We had to wait a little bit for the ribs (which was completely fine!) and my daughter was running around and asked me for her water. Unfortunately I had forgotten it at home. But the owner overheard and very graciously offered her a cold bottle of water - this action alone would make me go back! Food= excellent Service= excellent Recommend= ribs, Maui burger and onion rings Will definitely be going back soon!!

First time at Wasaga beach, my friend shared some brisket from this place.. and wow we cant stop talking about how good it is. From the actual brisket, to the FRIES and other sides and dips. so good. also they gave us a piece of pork belly to try it was so good.. You can tell how much the people there actually cares about their food. WOULD GO ALL THE WAY TO WASAGA FOR THIS!!!!!!

Pay attention People toss around praise toward food joints way too liberally: Worlds best best ever I cook this.. you gotta try that... etc etc... once in a while, every 10 or 20 years, you find a food joint that is absolutely exceptional and finally lives up to the praise. Beach1 Smokehouse tastes like recipes stolen from the kitchen that feeds Gods himself. Any item off the menu will make your favourite food joint back home seem like cafeteria chow in comparison. There is no other. You cant come to Wasaga Beach and not plan your eating around this food. If youre lucky enough to eat here, it will become the benchmark that your taste buds memory system calls back to, to compare everything else you eat for the rest of your life so long as you live. This is a watershed moment in food. There is everything before it, and there will be everything after it, but this, this is as high as it gets.

My son was looking for a good burger joint that wasn t fast food OH MY GOD. From the service to the food, I am in absolute awe! My son LOVED the burger and fries, and the salad. The dressing. Best Greek dressing I ve had, ever. I hope this place is around forever, and I will be back! Kid-friendliness: Options for the kiddos! And they ll love it!

Eat where the locals eat and you can t go wrong it was recommended to us from my girlfriend that lives here. Little hidden gem and well worth the find! The food was amazing, very tasty and you will leave very full. We will definitely be back to enjoy another meal.

Honestly, I haven t even eaten the food yet but I don t even care - they deserve a 5 and I m sure the food will live up to it. The owner of this business is one of the sweetest people you will meet. Him and his employee were so kind, taking the time to get to know me personally, make sure I had what I needed, and sharing their own history. Also, taking care of drunk kids by giving them free water and letting them use the washroom. Stand up people, they deserve support for that reason alone! You really don t feel taken care of in the service industry anymore, but they ll take care of you here. Thank you for being you! UPDATE: I travel all over Canada for work, I spend about 50% of my time travelling, I eat A LOT of varieties of restaurants all over the country, this is the best smoked chicken I have ever had! Fresh cut fries were amazing!

If you re a foodie like me, you ll love this place! Nothing like a good smokey flavour with your meat and who doesnt love fresh cut fries. The menu has a fantastic selection of dishes and we loved everything we tried. We only had good comments about the food. Been here a few times already within the week. We look forward to coming back again and again. The owner, Laz, is a very humble and sweet human being. You can feel his passion and taste it in the food too. Wish him all good things to come. P.S. really love the smoked chicken.

For only being opened for a week, the food was very good. Service will get better. And good news for locals they will be open year round.
