We did our Christmas dinner here last year and this year ,I cant express my appreciation for Jen,Nevida all of the rest of the crew ,they were very professional, did great job with perfection . Thanks alot Wildcraft, we did enjoyed our dinner and time yesterday .

Wildcraft Grill is an excellent place to eat. The food was very well cooked, the servers were attentive, pleasant, and efficient. This is not a fast food restaurant. The meal is cooked from fresh ingredients. Be prepared to pay a little more than your average price for a meal. Will go back again. Wheelchair accessibility: Adequate space for wheelchair maneuverability. Washrooms are well laid out for diners with disabilities.

Such a lovely experience dining at Wildcraft! Our server Alyssa was so kind and service was fast and delicious. Steak was cooked to perfection and tasty as can be. If youre looking for a finer dining experience without completely breaking the bank, this is the spot.

It has a very cozy atmosphere and the food is delicious. The chairs are comfortable and the bathroom is clean. Of course it was expensive, but I was satisfied. If youre going to eat a steak, be sure to eat the one with Peppers name on it. Its so delicious!

My experience had nothing to do with the server assigned to our table. She was exceptional. I appreciate all the support and assistance I received from her and her coworker. The rest of the service though? I ll definitely not be returning. I came here yesterday for my birthday dinner and everything was going very well until the wrong order was taken for my friend (steak), when the right one finally arrived (a burger), there were no condiments and he drink arrived late. My soup came without a spoon, two guests steaks arrived with no steak fork, our mint tea sat on the table for 15 minutes while we waited for the actual mint to be put in the teapot, another guest s order was not made per her request, orders were not repeated to guests to be confirmed, and honestly, my biggest disappointment was with the manager. There s a way to address paying customers not passively or with condescension, but assertively and respectfully. Unfortunately, his attitude soured the mood of half the table. He took no accountability for the series of mistakes that occurred. One mistake might be minuscule, sure, but this was a series of errors that cannot be overlooked as mere oversight. While he apologized for the mix-up with an order, he still insisted that my guest had ordered a steak, despite all of us clearly hearing her order a burger (she said it tasted amazing by the way). When he put my other guest on the spot, asking her to confirm if her steak was cooked to her liking, he showed no genuine remorse or willingness to make things right. The lack of accountability was glaring. The food was amazing, decor and ambiance were very nice! I d like to state the exceptional servers names, but I d respect their privacy.

I had a fantastic experience at the restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, especially the pasta and the chicken bao. Compliments to the chef for a wonderful meal. The service was excellent as well Ruben (apologies if I spelled that wrong) was very knowledgeable and courteous. Overall, I had a great time and will definitely be returning.

I brought the hubby and our two boys to celebrate his 40th birthday (all the way from Barrie). Our food was delicious, the staff was enthusiastic and kind and the atmosphere was perfect for a celebratory meal. Decorated for the holidays and cozy. I loved the cappuccino and a Pepper Chicken and hubby loved his burger. The kids loved their make your own sundae option. If we come back to Waterloo, we will come back to Wildcraft. Highly recommend.

The staff was super nice however the food was so disappointing considering the price. The chicken burger was so dry and flavourless and the bun seemed super cheap, it kept flaking and completely fell apart.

Disappointed in quality of food. My son ordered a ceasar salad and the lettuce was dirty and gritty. Water was warm. Soup and salads ordered were good. Wonderful waitress.

We were all really happy with our food choices. A couple of us ordered mocktails, which was so nice to see on the menu other than soft drinks. Dinner reservations before our Center in the Square evening were made for 4 and a QUIET table was requested. We were seated in the middle of the floor, near a noisy service area. As 6 o clock approached it got busier by the minute. By 6:30, dinner conversation was challenging at best which is unfortunate because the acoustics are DREADFUL, but could easily be improved without compromising the visual aspect. The food was all very good and our server Whitney proved to be an absolute joy with her enthusiasm and charm. Based on the food and service, we will return one more time but be more prudent in accepting the table location chosen by the hostess. Any future return after that will be decided by our experience the next time we visit. So choose your table wisely, communicating to the hostess, and your server that you prefer to avoid the cacophony of a school cafeteria, and expect to enjoy some dinner conversation with those accompanying you. BTW .. The Carpaccio and the Beet Salad are an EXCELLENT starters.

Max was our server this evening and he was an absolute delight! We were taken care of every step of the way without it being overbearing in the slightest. My partner and I both enjoyed appetizers and steaks that all came out cooked perfectly. We followed Maxs recommendation with dessert and the spiced chai brûlée was unbelievable. It was a wonderful night out, thank you so much Max and Wildcraft for ensuring a great date night.

So lets start off with no chance for photos as it was our date night tonight and we were swept away by the immediate attention and attention to detail by our server Max. To preface this for those who dont follow my reviews (follow them) I was in the industry for over 13 years and my partner for nearly a decade as well. She and I cant say enough about Max. Service was beyond impeccable, I can go into detail but truly a world class experience can sum it up. Thank you Max. Steak Au Poivre was outstanding. It rivals that of the dish we had not too long ago along the Amalfi Coast. The Chai Creme Brulee was breathtaking and our appetizers prior were delicious. This was only my second time to wildcraft Ill admit however with the service we recieved and the food quality, speed and attention to detail. It wont be long until we return again. 15/10 Wildcraft great job.

Head chef doesn t know the difference between a ribeye and a striploin. They will argue with you even when they are wrong. Spent over $200 for them to send out the wrong steaks and argue. I wonder how many other people they have switched steaks on. Do not go here.

We have been going to Wildcraft since they opened in 2007. It is our go-to place in Waterloo when we want a meal out. We always find the servers to be friendly and attentive. They always do their best to make sure that we are satisfied with our meal and dining experience.

We visited this restaurant as guests of a rehearsal dinner. The service and atmosphere was great and the private dining room was perfect for our dinner. The small menu was delicious with choices that satisfy a range of preferences.

Excellent service. From the moment we walked in, the receptionist was very courteous, friendly and smiling. At our table, Isabelle was our server and she was phenomenal. One of the order we got was very tasty and delicious. The other order, however, was not completely to my liking. Although I didnt say anything, Isabella knew that I didnt like it from my non verbal cues. She offered to bring me something else immediately however I declined. Isabella insisted offering is dessert on the house. Dessert was delicious. I must say, we were extremely impressed with the whole experience. We have never encountered a server who understands non verbal communications and acted on them. Amazing. I highly recommend this place.

What a disappointment. When we arrived we were seated at a table right by the very loud speakers. We asked to be moved and the new location wasnt much better. We asked the waitress to have the music turned down and she said shed talk to the Manager. We were there hoping to have a delicious meal and good visit but found it extremely difficult to visit when you had to speak loud over the loud music. The food was delicious although my sons meal wasnt as good as usual. I certainly will think twice about going to Wildcraft again - this is a fine dining restaurant and it would be lovely to have quiet background music rather than blaring music interrupting talking to one another. Vegetarian options: My daughter-in-law is always pleased with the vegetarian options.

The sommelier Steve is a great guy, knows what he s doing and has a good friendly personality. The server Ben and all of the others are amazing and super friendly and makes it a good repeat place to go. Food is awesome and so are the drinks.

Edit: Came back in 2024 and was disappointed. They are really steering clear of a lodge feel and instead are going for a modern soulless vibe. I like the open kitchen and the ready service but the food is below average for the price. Then again, I suppose everything is overpriced nowadays.

2.5/5 to the food. Service was not quite enjoyable: We waited for at least 8minute to order, while I raised my hand trying to notice the waiter, a male waiter just walked by??? The waitress served us was probably chatting with the customers while they paid the bill; I ordered risotto with prawns (37 before tax), the prawns shells were not removed and I did not even have a plate to put the shells away; we ordered sushi as well, but the rice is super cold. Atmosphere okay, but overall disappointed with this restaurant.

We just visited this establishment for a Birthday celebration a party of 6, the food was delicious and we had a nice time however the service was not on par for the the expectation at Wildcraft. From bringing out the wrong pasta dish, to not asking if someone wanted to substitute their side because they couldnt have the potatoes that were included. Someone requested bread for the soup and it took sometime to come out and the soup had cooled off. The complimentary dessert was very nice, however it was brought out quickly after dinner and the other guests had not been asked if they wanted anything, nobody was offered coffee or tea after dinner. The unfortunate thing is that 3 of the people in the party this was their first time here and not a great first impression. We were using an e-gift card for payment, we clarified before ordering that we could use it and it seemed like it was an easy process, when it came time the server had some issues using it and needed assistance from a manager who also seem to be unsure how to process it. Understandable maybe its not something that gets used often so maybe just a reminder on process. I think overall it was just a let down because we were out celebrating and the service was a let down. Absolutely one of the off-the-charts best restaurant experiences weve ever had. We had a group o 25 people in to celebrate my mother-in-laws 100th birthday. A lot of people, and a lot of kids. The staff were amazing - attentive, helpful, friendly and the food was fantastic - everyone raved about it. I had the steak frites. Perfect. My wife had the grilled chicken Thai bowl that, (despite the conspicuous absence of the mango) was great. We will absolutely go back the next time were in the area.

We had an absolutely wonderful dinner. We started with the grilled calamari from the gluten friendly menu, then had the mushroom penne and braised short rib bowl along with a steak dinner. The grilled calamari had a bit of kick which was so delicious! It was perfectly cooked and not tough or chewy at all. The braised short rib bowl from the gluten friendly menu had incredible flavours, from the rice, corn salsa and pickled onions, this bowl was an absolute hit. The penne was also ordered from the gluten friendly menu which wasn t a typical sauce, but coated beautifully with olive oil and had a good amount of bacon and mushrooms. The gf penne noodles were amazing as well, some gf noodle textures aren t the greatest but these were so delicious and cooked perfectly. The charbroiled 14oz hand cut rib eye was cooked perfectly and had an incredible sauce/gravy on top. Mashed potatoes were incredible And fries were tasty as well. All encounters with staff were very friendly and our server went the extra mile to ensure I didn t have any allergens in any of my orders. She even brought out a gluten free, dairy free and soy free brownie with vegan ice cream for my birthday. We will absolutely be returning. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

We just celebrated our 27th with an amazing dinner at Wildcraft Grill and Long Bar. I cannot recommend it enough! The food was absolutely delishes. We had the Bao Buns with Pork Belly, Steak and prawns with mashed potatoes, beef short-ribs and perfect chocolate cake. The service was spectacular!

I would have given this place no stars but because the service was excellent I decided 2 stars was fair. Came to Wildcraft for lunch on a visit to Waterloo. The place looks good, the atmosphere was good and the service was excellent. Lets talk about the food. I had a chicken and avocado sandwich and my wife a burger. The bread on my sandwich was stale, the chicken was a shoe sole and it had more salt than the dead sea. My wifes burger was ok but the bread was also stale. The fries? Horrendous, oily and looked and tasted like the oil was old. Such a beautiful place with such terrible menu!

Listen, I am from the Durham region, and I end up stumbling upon this amazing spot. The sweet potato wedges are best in Ontario, hands down. Also, the food selections are great as well. The dine-in and takeout were top shelf service. Thank you for being a waterloo spot, I cant pass up if I am in the area.

The plant based menu is actually vegan. Im a vegetarian and enjoy plant based food, but I think they need to clarify that on the menu. Now a days plant based does NOT mean vegan..... My food was bland and not very satisfying. However, we had an excellent server and the manager even came to our table to apologize and offer something that would help our experience.

Loved my experience here! They have a full gluten free menu, and really go the extra mile to make you feel special. I came here for an anniversary dinner and made a cheeky comment it would be great if you could have two margaritas ready for when we arrive and they DID! They even brought us gluten free anniversary dessert and one regular and one gluten free cake pop for the ride home. The servers are so attentive, and top notch! WE WILL BE BACK! We went there for early Fathers Day. Wonderful! My steak was cooked to perfection. My wifes GF option was also terrific. Isabella took amazing care of us for my parent s anniversary. Complementary champagne and dessert. The grilled hasselback calamari was very good. Liked it more than the fried calamari. The braised boneless short rib and Thurston Howell were amazing. They also had a great Gluten Free menu. The stuffed short rib, Brie truffle burger was delicious. Fantastic place, all the food is fantastic but the mashed potatoes are to die for. Worth a visit if youre in the area and have a pulse. Great mix of being able to be formal and fancy while also being able to be somewhat casual, although probably swap the sweatpants out for jeans. Would recommend. I have been here three times now all for different occasions. Date night, Business dinner in the evening with a large group and a lunch with a small group. Each time the service was fast and the meal was great.

A nice restaurant with a good environment. We had plant-based spaghetti and a Thai dish. While it wasnt bad, it wasnt super delicious either. Considering the price and quality, I would not recommend this restaurant for these plant-based options.

It was our first visit. We were so impressed with the attentive, excellent service and delicious food and beverage offerings that we will be back and refer friends. From the monent we arrived (around 5:30 on Sunday after attend a play), the greeting was friendly and we were asked our preference for seating. Our server, Ruben, was knowledgeable and offered tasters of the draft beer selections to help me choose. It could have gone wrong when the wrong entrees arrived at the table looking and smelling delicious. When we made the server aware neither dish had been ordered by either of us but looked tempting, they immediately apologized and offered complimentary soup, salad or appetizer to tide us over while we awaited our correct meals. We declined the kind offer. While we were waiting the manager or supervisor came to apologize and make the offer again. We declined and were were glad we did as the meals were worth the wait. My husband had the salmon and I had the mushroom tagliatelli. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the flavours melded beautifully. My mouth is watering recalling it. As we were finishing, we were offered complimentary dessert. We accepted and shared a very decadantly rich, moist but not overly sweet chocolate cake. We were so very impressed with everything and how the staff went out of their way to make the visit just right. Well done!

My 9 year olds pick Wildcraft to celebrate her birthday and our server made sure to make it special! Weve been a customer for a long time and we were never disappointed with our meal and service. Great place!

Great experience. Very nice place. The staff is very knowledgeable about the menu. I had the Steak AU POIVRE 10 NY it was amazing really enjoyed it. The peppercorns enriched the flavor

This was my boyfriend and I s third visit to Wildcraft, we both really love it. The food is fantastic, the staff is always super kind and friendly and helpful. Last night, our server s name was Kayla (I think) and she was very sweet and super helpful. Will 110% be coming again soon.
