Great little spot for breakfast! Food was great, service was lovely and the atmosphere was bright and fun!

Yesterday, I visited with my husband, and today I returned with my daughter. I enjoyed eggs and bacon, while my husband savored a Magic Crepe filled with fruit and whipped cream.

This morning, I had breakfast at this establishment for the first time. The service was outstanding every question or request was addressed promptly, thanks to the attentive waitress, Zuhal. We ordered the Benedict Zen and Healthy, followed by waffles with fruit for dessert. Everything was incredibly delicious. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return for breakfast again. One small suggestion regarding the interior: the plastic flowers hanging from the ceiling don t seem like the best design choice.

As a server myself, I know how crucial it is to properly handle food allergies. Whenever a customer mentions an allergy, I make sure the entire kitchen is aware and I write it down in big, clear letters to avoid any mistakes. Unfortunately, that same level of care was not shown during my visit to Cocofrutti. My girlfriend has severe gluten and dairy allergies, which I clearly communicated to the server. I specifically requested no seasoning on the potatoes (due to gluten) and asked if the potatoes were cooked in butter (due to dairy). Despite these clear instructions, they brought out a plate with seasoned potatoes and toast covered in butter both of which directly violated the allergy instructions I provided. When it was time to pay, the server casually said, Oh, I thought it was just a preference, even though I had clearly stated it was an allergy multiple times. No effort was made to remake the food or remove the contaminated items from our bill. This is unacceptable. Food allergies are not a preference they are a health and safety issue that can have serious, even life-threatening, consequences. As someone who works in the food industry, I know how important it is to follow proper allergy protocols. This experience showed a complete lack of training and care for customer safety. I hope Cocofrutti takes action to train their staff on how to properly handle allergy-related requests because this could have ended much worse for someone with a severe allergy.

So yummy! Potatoes are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and well seasoned. Stephanie was great! The oreo milkshake was really good. Recommend going here for brunch!

Tried coco frutti for the first time with my family including adults, grandparents and young kids; and everyone really enjoyed the portion sizes and the high quality of the food. Restaurant itself is very bright and has tons of seating. The menu is huge and has great halal options (which is rare). The portions and value were outstanding. Even the kids portions were substantial. The servers were attentive and even though they were busy they kept refilling our drinks and checking in. Special shout out to the fruit smoothies (not overly sweet/really tasty), fresh fruit salad, potatoes and halal meet. Highly recommend!

We got to the place exited to try it out we sat down and waited over 20 minutes to be served nobody asked us if we wanted coffee or water or even took are order so we just walked out..

Severely slow service. Overpriced mid food food. The wife and I sat for 30 mins waiting for our waitress to get our cheque. No one ever came around for coffee refills and the food was mid at best. Minimal vegetarian options. Definitely not worth the price.

I had a wonderful experience at this new family-owned breakfast spot in Waterloo. After the closure of Cora, I wasn t sure what to expect, but it exceeded my expectations! The staff was incredibly attentive, constantly refilling our water and checking in on us. The portions were generous, and everything was fresh. I had the Eggs Benedict, which I thoroughly enjoyed. One person in my group ordered an omelette, and it was the largest omelette I ve ever seen it covered almost half of the large plate it came on. If you re a fan of omelettes, you definitely need to try theirs. While it did take a little longer to get the bill (understandable on a busy Saturday morning), it wasn t a big issue. If I m in the area again and craving breakfast, this will be my first stop.

we got sat waited 30 minutes for someone to come over, A server finally came over and we were ready to order, She said We re training your server so it might be a little bit longer, Sorry She could ve taken our order and ringed it in as there was only 5 tables and she had none, but instead made us wait for the other server to ring in a 6-top . I don t understand how you work and don t help your coworkers, Anyways.. 20 more minutes later, our server finally comes and we order, She was learning still so we were patient even though she didn t understand the menu When I got my food the Turkey bacon was raw, I had to send it back, We asked for water that we never got. The service is just insanely bad.. They should have servers train with other servers instead of sending them off not knowing what there doing .Should not take almost one hour of waiting to take an order. Bad experience would not dine here again

The fruit was all nice and fresh. This newly open restaurant has to work on the service part of the place. The team were not sure what place or position they worked. No knowledge of the food. I will try it a second time in a month.

They have an interesting assortment of brunch options, many more than other diners. The food was good and the service was friendly.

Went on a Saturday expecting Cora s (which is closed) and decided to try this new place. Has a great selection, not as much as cora s, but still some great options. Its vibrant and bright inside. The service was very odd, it was like the servers had never served before and didn t really know the menu very well. Compared to Cora s on a saturday, it was very empty.

Worst food Ive had in a long time. Pathetic service as well. Overall, the meal was of very poor quality; it was delivered in big quantities but was useless. I had tried Kingston branch long back and loved it, so I guess this management might be the problem Not recommended at all.

Was not blown away. Cretons I did google it, so I didnt f kind and f know what I thought it was, but it was basically cold spam. French toast was this tiny piece of bread the size of my palm. My request to sit by the window was denied with a simple No. Then I saw a waiter I know, and said oh could I sit at one of the tables he is serving. No, sorry. After I waited around 5 minutes for my waitress to come over, the waiter I know Oliver was kind enough to offer me some coffee. I listened to him be so helpful and kind to the tables he was serving. Customers had to wait because the restaurant was having difficulty with the debit machine. Olly kept them laughing and they seemed perfectly fine waiting. Mine just didnt come over and eventually I stopped another waitress and asked if I could get my bill. She came and said are you ready to pay. Yep. Waited 5 more minutes. Never received a coffee top up. Never came over and asked how I was enjoying my meal. I dont plan on coming back.

I wanted to like it. The service was good. Everyone was very friendly.But the food was not fresh at all. The first round of bacon was completely burnt, rock hard. The waitress was kind enough to replace it. But the replacement bacon was cold, chewy and very unappetizing. A breakfast place that doesnt cook bacon well is disappointing. Paid and left. Probably will not return as the food was so unpleasant.Super disappointing!

Its very similar in content to Coras, there was nothing inherently wrong with the food I personally received, my lunch was great. However, my lunch menu order was served fresh and my friends breakfast was cold. So my friend complained (as you would, why would we eat cold eggs and toast.) the toast had margarine slathered on it and clearly the toast was cold. So the food was brought out a second time and toast still had margarine slathered all over it (not melted whatsoever), not to mention weve dined at many establishments and toast has always been served with butter spread on it. The manager informed us it was margarine, which my friend doesnt like to have a lot of for health reasons, and the manager (or whomever this was we spoke to) complained to us that he had to take the food back the first time and that the toast was inadequate twice, essentially trying to make us feel guilty for being served cold and sub par food, he spoke to us with disdain and attitude. I remained quiet during most of this exchange until the very end when he returned and had begun rattling off saying they did everything they could to make us happy etc etc after the way he addressed us the first time he came over, and I finally spoke up (in a calm and level tone, because I was extremely frustrated that he was still be short tempered and rude with my friend.) and I plainly and levelly explained its the way youre speaking to us sir. And he proceeded to say Youre raising your voice just to make a scene etc etc. which I have never and would never do, I go out of my way to respect people who serve me as I used to work customer service myself. How can he be rude and manipulative towards me and my friend and then accuse me of making a scene/trying to let everyone know etc. I would most likely not have posted this review at all if he had not accused me of such, but since he has clearly displayed that he doesnt respect his customers and thinks Im trying to air my grievances to the world, I figured posting this review will make no difference. I am so sorry to the servers who did nothing wrong and had to be subjected to that situation and his awful attitude. I hope he treats them far better than he treated us. Im disappointed, because I actually enjoyed my lunch, and now I have no interest in returning. I work hard for my money and I wish I hadnt spent over an hour of my wages to be treated like a sub par human and condescended instead of enjoying my meal with a friend. I would have genuinely given this place a second chance had we not been addressed so poorly, I hope this experience is learned from and that everyone is able to move on to a brighter and more positive work and dining environment. Were already throwing out two toasts and a meal, we dont owe you any compensation, (after the first round of condescension that frankly ruined the whole meal anyways regardless of the cold food) His blatant unwillingness to acknowledge any kind of mistake, and instead try to gaslight me into actually getting angry with him when I told him I didnt like the way he was speaking to us. We can burn it if thats what you want. (Sarcastically in reference to the toast) Also he stood at the entrance to the kitchen glaring us down like criminals as we got ready to leave. Id like finally to mention that he was raising his voice at us well before I even bothered to chime into the conversation.

The food was really delicious I really enjoyed it! The eggs were cooked perfectly the way I wanted it to be! And the potatos really made me enjoy the meal more! the service and atmosphere were also perfect!

We had the most amazing brunch experience at Coco Fruiti waterloo special thanks to Aman the owner who went of the way to make for us a customized brunch to meet our requirements . We will definitely be going back again and again

This is a new place in uptown (at least for us at the moment). They have breakfast specials and great fresh juices. We love it here, and Olivier, our server, was great.

I loved it! Paty was our server, she was very friendly and was making sure we were comfortable and if help was needed she was there. I had their Niagara Falls it comes with 2 eggs, fries, fresh toast/crepe with fresh fruits and hazelnut and your choice of meat. I truly liked how they have the option to add toppings to your fries; I added cheese and hollandaise sauce and it was AMAZING. They also have lunch menu Monday-Fri and the options are great as well. The place is charming and gorgeous. Will be back for sure!!

came here to eat because it was a new place and i was excited! quickly felt an unfriendly vibe from the staff. the food was okay but the service was bad.

Very expensive. I ordered the burger. The steak burger to be exact and it was so bad, unfortunately. It was a bitter burnt flavor frozen patty. The staff were extremely nice tho. But the food was not good and very $$$

Wasnt a great experience. Son got a bad chocolate milk. Instead of another chocolate milk he got water (I guess they were out of chocolate milk) but it took ten minutes to show up. In that time I drank my coffee, and was not offered a refill. I got the eggs Benedict, the hollandaise tasted a little funny, but I chalked it up to seasoning... Until I remembered my sons chocolate milk, then it just tasted off. The food was okay, the side of fruit was a pineapple, cantaloupe, and honeydew slice. Just kind of put on the plate. Then we waited awhile for our bill. Ended up just walking to the host stand because we were tired of waiting. Server was nice, just seemed to have too much on their plate.

came there with my brother and daughter and was greeted with a smile almost instantly. my waitress, tiffany, was very polite, very attentive and very patient with my little one while taking our order. service was fast but food was sub par, especially in comparison to the cora that use to be in the spot. was also greeted by who i believe to be the owner in a very off putting way, came over and began touching our cutlery and was not giving off the best impression. overall, service good, food and atmosphere besides waitresses was below what i was expecting.

I came here with friends and family the other day and the whole experience sucked. I will never be coming back. Service was awful and what seemed to be the owner also had no knowledge of the menu items when our server went up to ask questions. This place definitely needs a lot of work and more improvements. If I could give negative stars I would.

Was really excited to try this place. Service was good and place was very bright. Unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations. Coffee tasted awful, thought it was a bad pot but even the second one tasted bad (burnt?). The food was also below average. Potatoes were not cook well and were very simple. Fruit wasn t ripe and you only got three small pieces. Bacon was average, toast seems like basic wonder bread. Eggs were ok. Overall, below average but high prices. Hope they fix their menu.

Don t have much to say about the food, but I was training to work at this location, and witnessed the owner throw a pen at one of his employees to get their attention . Also got verbally berated by the French woman training us for not being fast enough, not doing things right, etc. She made one of my coworkers cry. I brought up how uncomfortable these things made me, and I got fired. So, just be warned, these are the people you re supporting if you choose to dine here. Also, at least 5 of these 5 star reviews are from current employees and people in the business.

Outstanding ambiance, friendly service by Sophie and Olivier. Portions were very hearty & fruits were freshly cut. Its a complete turnaround from former place (Cora) and very nicely decorated, organized and prompt service - a great addition to uptown Waterloo, has multiple options for families.

This restaurant is very new and I can tell the management and staff have done their best to impress their customers. Ample seating spaces indoor and outdoor, we were seated immediately on arrival. We asked for quite a bit of customization in our food order and everything was done to perfection. The waiter was very friendly and we had great conversations. I love how they reused and refinished the furniture from Cora and how they made the place much brighter and welcoming. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian omelette is available Dietary restrictions: You can choose the type of meat Parking: 2 hours free parking lot is right in front of the restaurant.

Went here for breakfast with my girlfriend and had a great experience overall. Our server Stephanie was very attentive and patient after I asked for three different things after the other because I kept forgetting . Recommend their steak and eggs, and their crepes.

My Girlfriend and I got Breakfast for Lunch and our waitress was Stephany and she was very nice! And I felt bad because one of the times when she walked up to us I was talking about Arby s and ended my sentence with the food is terrible and that s a terrible thing to hear if that s the only thing you hear, because the food here is good! I had a fantastic meal at CocoFrutti! The food was very tasty, with everything cooked to perfection. We had a lot of modifications, but everything came back exactly as we wanted it. The service was superb the staff was super friendly and attentive. If you re looking for a great spot to eat with excellent service, CocoFrutti is definitely worth a visit!

Went here this morning and had the Niagara Falls for breakfast and everything was so good, probably one of the better breakfast places in KW. Stephany our waitress was super attentive and over all just a lovely person. Inside the restaurant itself was very cute with the flowers along the ceiling. If you are a coffee drinker the coffee is really good nice and strong but not too strong.

Do not eat here!! Not only did they get my entire order wrong when I called, my actual order (burger meal) was undercooked and I threw up what I had eaten that very same evening. My co-workers say their food was okay but nothing special. Only good thing about this place is one of the owners (woman with long dark hair) is pretty nice.

Wish I could post photo. Couldnt finish half of it and took it home. Was good. I suggest rolling the crepes. I was surprised and a bit disappointed when they came as quesidillas. Couldnt tell or really taste what was inside. Maybe less fruit, and more filling in a rolled crepe like other places do. :)

Visiting from Florida, for a wedding. Looking for breakfast. Stumble onto this place. It was a great experience. Everyone was nice. Food was great. My wife and I shared a meal. Gave us plenty. Went there for breakfast all 3 days we were there. From my experience, I would highly recommend.

First visit and we will definitely be back, came for brunch for my sons birthday and the staff was amazing, extra birthday surprise and the food was great!

A decent experience but missing something. We walked in and were quickly and friendlily welcomed, all the staff we talked to were very nice and happy to be there - which you can usually notice when they re not very easily. Place is very bright and neatly decorated. I enjoyed the somewhat open kitchen but some of the booth coverings/finishes seemed to be vinyl/wrapped, with scratch marks already, I feel they ll need a more permanent solution to avoid looking quite worn very soon. Some of the joints of the booth seemed janky, the wood, etc., while this is a very small nitpick not everyone might notice or care for (and perhaps still being worked on), it makes for somewhat a cheap impression. The Toronto skyline mural looks nice as well but this is Waterloo? Would have been nice to see a more local scene. The food was okay, but this is mostly where something is missing. The smoothie was okay, the eggs and benedicts were okay, sausage and potatoes okay, hollandaise okay, but everything tasted very mono-tone in flavor. I was craving for something to have a little more kick and stand out. It is on the pricier side for the portions as well. We absolutely did not need the toast that came with the meal and I felt bad having to leave it uneaten, it just felt out of place. We did get asked if we wanted jam or something else when we were done eating - this would have been a nice offering at the beginning or have it on the table already. I commend the staff and establishment wholeheartedly, I know it s new and can very likely be difficult at first to get a rhythm down. Everyone looked busy and they were communicating with each other, but there were a few odd spots: people being sat very close to another group without reason and other reviews have mentioned the seats and tables are quite close to one another. Our waiter seemed to ask me about the menu, if my meal came with an option (it didn t), this was excused and I of course didn t mind. They did comp me for the smoothie as well which was a delightful surprise. Not sure if it s because they had made an error or if just wanting to be nice. Overall a decent meal and experience. I would return but likely wouldn t be my first choice. They are going to have tough competition and as much as I want them to succeed, as they seem like a good bunch of people, they need to do more to make the food stand out.
