Offbeat counter-serve sandwich joint serving BBQ fare, gourmet pizzas & specialty poutines.
Got the double smash burger combo for lunch and it was delicious. The burger was very good and had so much flavour, Only thing I would take away from the burger is that it was a smaller burger compared to other places. The poutine was decent, I also waited till it got a little cold so that could’ve been why. Service was nice and quick and overall I would definitely get it again and would recommend
The restaurant caught our eyes when we were driving around the area because it looked very unique and interesting so we decided to give it a shot. The food was amazing. We ordered the Crazy Canuck burger, classic Canuck pizza, pulled pork poutine and pizza poutine. Everything was delicious but our favourite thing was the pulled pork poutine. The place is attached to an antique shop which is cool. We got to check it out as we waited for our food.
5/5 for classic Quebec curd poutine. Delicious and cheesy. Absolutely loved the ambience and attached is the Antique shop. Veggie Za pizza is not recommended though, they should have used some more good quality cheese on it.
I took a classic poutine and double smash combo burger 🍔 and poutine it's really good fresh Each bite was a delightful combination of fresh ingredients—crisp lettuce, ripe tomato, and just the right amount of sauce that added a tangy kick without overpowering the natural flavors. The cheese was melted to perfection, giving the burger a creamy texture that tied everything together.
honestly we sat down and the smell of the food was AWESOME i scarfed down more than half before remembering i should take a pic, we aren't from the area but will 1000% return. Best fries i have ever had. sandwiches were insane!!! great flavor, crispy bread, toppings awesome. service was fast and insanely nice and helpful to tell us about the area.
Fantastic burgers and poutine. But service is slow and rusty atmosphere.
We stopped in for lunch after Antique shopping next door. I had the Montreal smoked meat sandwich with fries, my daughter had the Taco Poutine. Both were amazing and very filling. The fries were great too. Love the decor. We will definitely be returning.
We are here while staying across the road. We both had the smash burger combo and yes it is the best deal in town. Great burger and delicious poutine. Get it if you are hungry because we could only eat one of the poutines and took the other home. Their beer was also very good as we bought a few to go. Nice little place with cool decor.
The Crazy Canuck has great food ! The pizza is super yummy and their poutine honestly is the best and one of my favourites ! Unfortunately if you dine in they give you plastic forks which is such a waste and unnecessary.
Good poutine.
Omg... Words cannot even explain my experience.... Never again, worst service, rude staff and I cant even comment on the food because we didnt receive it
Best POUTINE ever!!!
Thry have great poutines
Great food and best fries in town.
We eat very good poutine. Excellent atmosphere!
Restaurant lacks communication and care for their customers.. I called at 11:10am on November 15th, 2024 (10 minutes after opening) to order lunch for 12pm for my coworkers at office. The restaurant was booked by an entire hockey team, and said they could not take any other orders until 2pm. There was no communication to other customers that they would be opening late, so now my coworkers who didnt bring a lunch to work are out of luck. Too bad because I have heard food is decent, but this experience leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Poor business management and customer service.
Really enjoyed the poutine and donair style pizza. Service was fast and great as well.
Delicious food!
Food was excellent. Had pulled pork and Greek salad. Very fresh salad and bun. The pulled pork was amazing. My son really enjoyed his routine. I took off one star for atmosphere because the windows were really dirty:( Vegetarian options: Salad Kid-friendliness: Cute decor
Ive eaten this as take out, dine in, and cater. I used to come here for the Halifax Donair poutine and pizza, decided to grab a couple this weekend dine in and was sadly disappointed. The food took a bit to make which is fine, however the food wasnt hot when I got it. The cheese curds didnt melt, the Donair meat was burnt black on one side and normal on the other, and the portion size of the meat was minimal. No donair sauce on the poutine only on the side which was strange. Been going for years to Canuck, but sadly cant say ill be back in the future cost doesnt match the food.
We didnt even get to eat. unfriendly service. We were told there was no burgers. We then ordered the brisket to find out they didnt have that either. We were frustrated so went to Boston pizza
THAT POUTINE WAS SOOO GOOD VERY FILLING THE GREEN SHIRT GUY COULDNT HANDLE IT AND SO MY BF HAD TO TAKE IT FROM THE BACK LOL!!
The team here is fantastic! PS! If you want to order a pound of the brisket, pulled pork or the chicken, plan to call ahead a week or so in advance and let them know! The employees were so kind when I went in with a rather large order with no notice. 10/10, will be returning.
Foods was excellent. Had 2 different kinds of pizza and pouting. First time for brother, sister in law and cousin. They really enjoyed the food also Would go again Food : 5/5
Food was ok but overpriced. $22 for a sandwich, fires, and can of pop. They don t serve to the table but the payment machine asked for a large tip.
This place never disappoints. Not a single bad thing on the menu. Live in Tennessee now and wish I could have brought it with me.
This place has never been cleaned like ever
Needs a deep clean. Value has really declined.
Was looking forward to the Friday night fish special only to be extremely disappointed. The fish was soggy, breading was gross!! Expensive and we threw it out!! My bad for not asking what kind of fish it was...like nothing I have ever taken a bite of before. Never again.
Pretty much ignored at counter. Unclear if you are supposed to seat yourself outside cause the till has a sign for pick up or take out only. No waitress. Not very friendly.
Excellent portion sizes at even better prices! Food was amazing!
Been there twice. Best burger in town. Never been disappointed
Tipping prompt on the credit card machine.
Went for the first time on the weekend, had an amazing burger not to mention the fries were amazing as well. Just had to go back for the Tuesday pizza special. Omg best pizza I have had.
Great food
I waited as the only person in line for about 10 minutes before being acknowledged. The place was a ghost town so the kitchen wasnt exactly swamped. The employee running the counter walked back and forth repeatedly and made no eye contact or acknowledgement. When he took my order, he barely said a word and just kind of gestured towards me. When the food came, it was very disappointing. For such a patriotically Canadian establishment, their poutine was pitiful. Salty, watery gravy with a few nibbles of cheese and fries cooked in old oil. Definitely would not visit again.
Was a big fan of crazy Canuck quinoa burger but totally disappointed this time. The patty was a big blob of fried dough (partly uncooked inside but just deep fried outside)
Amazing little spot!
Seemed a little grungy and run down. Love the old music and albums. The poutines have great variety.
Decent pizza opposite St. Jacob s Farmers market Vegetarian options: There are various veggie options that you can chose from Food : 4/5 |
Longest wait ever
the burgers and routine were awesome. we wouldnt get the Mintreal smoked meat again - very strong flavour. Be prepared for slow service. we recommend but not for speed.
The ribs are fantastic!!!!! The portions are huge and the prices are great! I highly recommend the Tuscan pizza, especially if you like spicy food.
Great food slightly long service time but great food
Good food at a great price
Had to watch all the people who ordered after me be served before me. Didnt even get my food, they tried to quickly make it after I complained but told them not to and just want my money back. Luckily they did give me refund but an absolutey terrible experience
Pathetic!Pathetic!Pathetic! Worst experience ever! Product availability=Pathetic...Customer care/service=Pathetic..Ownership/responsibility =Pathetic. Could go on and on. Will never go back.
burger not so good fish and chip ok
A great place to grab a quick bite to eat. Prices were comparable to other burger type restaurants. $15-20 per main entree with side. Food was very tasty. I was bummed that they didn t have the ribs I wanted. But the burger was a great substitute. The Apollo Theatre is in the same building. The only down side is the parking around the building. Be prepared for a short walk. Parking is free after 5:30. All other parking lots are reserved for staff of the businesses around. It worked great for us since we were going to a fundraiser at the Apollo after. The gentleman serving us was very pleasant and professional.
Stopped in for a bite after antiquing. The placd itself is small, you order at a window inside and there are a few booths and tables. The atmosphere was cute. I got a hotdog and poutine.. hotdog wasnt really anything special but HUGE. The poutine was really good and also huge. My husband got the classic burger, which was also really good. The portions are really big, too. I would eat here again!
This cost me $16 and took 24min to make. Definitely not an economic lunch time spot as you will spend ur whole lunch waiting and then have to buy additional food to fill yourself...
Nice place. Convienent if you are at the market, good food, good service and an awesome place to sit if the weather is nice. Limited indoor seating. Go ahead, visit the antique store and stop for a bite. ENJOY!
Best bbq
Amazing pulled pork sandwiches and burgers.
Amazing food, the pizza was awesome with great crust. The inside is very cool, but could be a little cleaner inside and out. Otherwise great spot!
Very sweet, genuine staff and the food is always consistently amazing!
The Place was SO DIRTY!!! Trash all over the floor, dirty tables (Very dirty). The food was ok. The Burguers are not that good. If you go there I can recommend the Brisket Poutine! That one is better. I truly recommend the place to upscale the atmosphere by cleaning a little bit, it shows like you don t care about your costumers.
Great burger ! The double smash combo great price and filling !!
Best burger in town !
I think more of a take out. Food is good though, definitely a Friday night grab and go Food
Good prices service pretty quick
Had an excellent poutine. Service was quick and had a blast checking out all the albums and album covers while waiting for the food.
Great Fish and chips, 2 dinners under $40 Wheelchair accessibility: Barrier Free Food : 5/5 |
Ordered 3 burgers for take out. 1 burger was requested to only have tomato as there is a cheese allergy the other 2 were bacon cheese burgers. Get them home and all 3 burgers were the same. Was unable to eat my burger due to the cheese. Didn t think my order was that difficult to fill.
The food was very meh. Fries were dry, hot dog bun fell apart on contact. The burgers tasted good, little dry, but good overall. Not sure how clean it is. Condiments were running low on the table. Oh and a record on the wall for decoration had boogers on it. The person working here was lovely though.
Kerri and I ate at this restaurant tonight. Just a half block away from her hotel in Waterloo. We ordered. We order the Canuck pizza and a garlic and cheese bread which looks like a pizza for dinner. Oh my goodness it was almost as good as the St. Christopher pizza at piston broke in Brantford years ago. Crazy! Canucks, you are my second favorite pizza of all time
Ordered the Po-Boy Hoagie with fries. Honestly some of the best French fries I have had in a while and the sandwich was the perfect combination or prawns and coleslaw. 10 outa 10!!!
The place was cute and unique but we were disappointed by the food. The burger was really dry and my meat sandwich was dripping grease. Overall the location is nice to stop by and have a poutine after shopping.
Ordered the smash burger with poutine combo, smash burger came pink in the middle, poutine fries were all small bits with cold gravy. Returned the pink burger for a cooked burger, tasted like Cooked from frozen. Quality went downhill at this location and no joy in cooking by the cooks very lazy food
Great food
Used to love this place prior to covid but it seems like the have fallen off, no more daily specials, service is okay, but when the food comes thats the real disaster... Ordered the brisket hoagie, hands down worst, most overcooked brisket I have had, top that off with the over cooked fries and what seemed to be a cheap, store bought BBQ sauce, beyond disappointed this used to be a place where you could always get good fresh BBQ and this will be the last time I visit, hopefully this spares someone else the same disappointment, this is not the same restaurant that was running pre pandemic...
Quick and efficient. Large portions. Attached to large Anique Market which is fun to browse.
The perfect fuel to walk around a flea market for a couple of hours :) honestly, wed been driving for a bit and we were all approaching snickers-level hangry when we got there and Crazy Canuck saved the day. Definitely be back.
wonderful service from the team at crazy canuck today. there was an issue with the original order, and the team worked quickly to rectify the situation. went above and beyond our expectations, and were very kind.
Fun restaurant with a variety of creative burgers, sandwiches, poutines and pizzas. Sometimes the creativity works and other times it does not. I had the brisket hoagie which was delicious. The BBQ sauce was very bold, the meat tender and the bun excellent. While the banana peppers added welcome acid to cut through the wonderful cheese and grease, the decision to deep fry them was unnecessary and they ended up being soggy mush. As my side I got the Po Boy Poutine. The portion was very generous for a side which I was pleased by. When I read the description on the menu I said to myself there is no way that will work! but I love trying new and unexpected things and being surprised and delighted by them. Unfortunately I was right in this case. The fried shrimp was very very salty, and combined with the cajun cream sauce it was overwhelming even for me who loves salty food. The cream sauce was heavy and didnt add anything to the fries, and the coleslaw on top didnt cut through the heaviness the way I hoped, it was just a confusing cold mess. I would not recommend it. All of the ingredients were good on their own, they just absolutely did not work together so I look forward to trying other things here. The restaurant has the feel of being build in an old garage or warehouse, and indoor seating is limited. It is a great place to sit outdoors when the weather is nice, but can be really crowded when the Market is on.
Great spot . Plan a trip to the toilet tho
Good food with huge portions in an eclectic atmosphere.
Great place to eat. Food is awesome, especially the Taco Pizza. It s a must!
Delicious food. I had a montreal smoked on rye. Fries were even good! Partner has a double smash burger with poutine. He had to bring the poutine home for one of our kids because the burger was enough. Everything was awesome and huge portions.
Crazy canuck always has great food .... we love their canuck ribs! Service is good, but during busy times, be prepared to wait a bit, but thats not always a bad thing, as you know that other folks like the food here too. Keep up the great job, guys!
A vibe, gobbled the jumbo glizzy like no tomorrow
Absolutely the best burger in town. Fries were amazing as well. My wife had the buffalo Tuscan poutine and she said it was amazing. Highly recommended.
Best poutine in the region!
My most favorite place for lunch and dinner! Local business, amazing food and really the best poutine and pizzas in town!! Family friendly, great vibes and the most amazing patio you have ever been on! Kid-friendliness: They will make anything into a kid portion!
Great fries and burgers.
What an amazing place! Its a hidden gem. Everything is epic and the staff are awesome. Fish Fridays, call your order in early before you miss out.
We were in the mood for fresh cut fries and saw the reviews which sounded great. I am convinced someone is paid to write them. This place is disgusting from the dirty door which looked like it had never been cleaned to the very tired interior. A take out order of fries took 20 min and it was an extremely quiet evening. We debated about eating on the picnic tables outside but when we saw how dirty it was we ate in our car. While waiting I saw trip advisor banners hanging up for excellence and I was totally shocked. I dont think the health inspector has been there in years! The fries were good and there was plenty but they are not a bargain and it seemed very pricey considering the sad and dirty atmosphere. What a disappointment.
The food at The Crazy Canuck never disappoints! But the Waterloo location has some issues with staff. I hope the owner/manager reads this. I have been to the Weber Street location twice in the past few months, and the employees working in the evening very clearly try to deter customers. When I tried to order takeout a few months ago, an employee answered and put me on hold for 20 minutes. I was nearby so I decided to drive over and order in the restaurant, while still staying on hold in case he got back on the line. When I entered the restaurant and told the gentleman that I have been on hold for 20 minutes and blocking the phoneline (as my friend had tried to call them, too, but because I was on hold, nobody could get through), he apathetically said oh, hung up the phone, and asked me what I wanted to order. Because of this bad experience, I didnt go back for quite a while, but decided to give them another try recently. I dined in this time, and I noticed that the employee turned off the street-facing Open sign an hour before close. As I was leaving about five minutes later, I heard the phone ring and one of the two men working said to the other dont answer it! It seems that they do this sort of thing frequently to try to discourage customers from ordering. With the first takeout incident, I had thought maybe they had just forgotten I was on hold, but I worry these practices happen frequently and will eventually put this location out of business. As I said, the food is always fantastic here, but I can only give two stars as these employees very clearly try to stop people from being able to place orders and start shutting down an hour before close. Its obvious that they want to keep people out. Its quite sad because its such a great place to go and it used to be one of my favourites! It can be uncomfortable feeling so unwelcome there, but mainly, Im concerned that eventually, this restaurant will lose enough customers and shut down. Its sad that that may happen to a local business all because of negligent staff. I will not be going here anymore.
Always great to check this place out when im in the area. Staff is friendly. Prices are reasonable. Portions are wonderful. Its a neat place and while you are waiting check out all the old album covers on the wall see which ones you remember.
I have had a couple of good burgers there now
went with a big group of people and limited time, got out within 20 minutes with delicious food
Great food with large portions.
Nice place for a pit stop
I attempted to call to place an order, I was on hold 10 minutes then I finally Hung up. I called back many times over the next hour and decided to drive there to place my order. I got there the place had 1 customer that was sill eating and there were 3 people in back. I placed my order, the man stated they ran out of bacon so would not be on the burger. The food I would rate 7 out of 10 was good we had the brisket poutine, the bbq chicken poutine, and the canuk and the double smash burger. There was no discount for the lack of bacon. Portions were good and cost 66$ tax and tip...
The food was fast and hot, everything looked good and smelled good, I would recommend eating here!! 11/10
This place is tucked in a corner right beside the antique store near at Jacobsen market. There are only few tables for indoor dining but they have a large patio though. Pet friendly. Self service at the counter. They provide a buzzer and when the food is ready it buzzes & you need to go to the counter to collect your food. Speaking about the food, I must their poutine was one of the best I have had till day. Cheesy creamy and their fresh cut potato fries, droll worthy I must say! We also had the Halifax garlic fingers and was blown away by the delicious smell and taste. Also had their own beer, The crazy Canuck beer and it was pretty decent. Would love to go to this place again! Happy to have this place.
We had a donair pizza and garlic cheese fingers. Both were good, but the wait time seemed a little long considering there was nobody ahead of us. The outdoor eating area was nothing special.
Best pulled pork sandwich in town!!
We each had a burger and fries. Burgers were awesome and the fries are amazing!!
The brisket poutin whit Donaire sause
My poutine was 50% fries and 50% cheese curd. Nuff said
Very quaint spot with a fun take
I ordered the Greek Tzatziki and it was delicious. The combination of the Fries with lemon juice, tomatoes, onions, olives, feta and Tzatziki added great flavours. Will definitely recommend this dish. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and communicated in a friendly manner. Also, their patio is spacious.
Went here for a birthday dinner and it was crazy delicious! Portions were HUGE and best burgers and fries that we had in ages - seasoning was perfection. Caesar salad crisp and fresh with shaved Parmesan. Ordered the Crazy Canuck and Mad Greek. Mad is right! Memorable meal and support local!
Portions are HUGE! Get way less than what you eat. Good variety of routines, but I did not like the taste. Its way less tasty than Quebec ones. I also got dry ribs which I didnt like at all. Overall, unhealthy huge tasteless food :(
The place is a second rate bbq place. The portions are generous but the food is a low average. Messy in an annoying way; messy is tolerable if the food is good. Over salted fries. Poutine a hot mess.. again if quality good fine but a disappointment; poorly constructed. I assume they do OK because of location-Waterloo Farmers Market and lack of competition.. Save your money.. eat some where else. Remember there is a huge difference between messy good and just messy food.
Burgers were very tasty and the local beer was nice. Wish it was draft and not cans though. Prices were reasonable and portions were large.
Food was delicious and friendly service it was great
They make the food that makes your soul happy
The double smash burger is our go to here. The Jalapeño sauce is fantastic. I dont really enjoy fries, but these are always crispy, well seasoned and plentiful. The restaurant itself is never clean and they dont enforce the no smoking on the patio outside which is unfortunate. We chose to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather and we were stuck with the scent of cigarettes. Four stars for the food, but I would eat outside and not in when possible.
Food was very very salty. The indoor seating area was not clean and quite grungy and dark. They had left the green bin in the indoor seating area and there were lots of flies. Wont comment on the service because there wasnt really service. Will not visit again.
Very impressed. Delicious food, made fresh to order. Was my first time eating out in a couple years and Im glad it was here!
Good portions, okay service and food
The fries were maybe half cooked
This has been a go-to restaurant of ours for years when we lived in North Waterloo. We finally came back for a visit and was not disappointed. The poutine was loaded and the burger and fries were delicious. We sat outside with our kids (2,4,6) and they could walk around and enjoy the space. We will be back again and again.
Great service, great Potine, amazing pulled pork and ribs and the donair pizza wad great too.
Great food!
Extremely disappointed in the quality and service under the new ownership. Today I went for lunch with 2 co-workers and 2/3 of the orders were incorrect. They made my pizza wrong, and offered me the wrong one at the till when I was paying. I accepted in lieu of a discount since I figured my husband would eat the incorrect pizza. When our order came up, I was informed the manager wouldn t let them give me the incorrect pizza. I questioned them and asked why, since they had already promised me and didn t give me a discount or any other compensation for getting the order wrong. The guy at the register just shrugged. When we sat down to eat, we discovered my co-worker s veggie pizza was covered in meat. We complained and they told us we were wrong. We looked at it again and it very clearly had pepperoni and lots of chopped up ham and bacon. The manager aggressively came out to our table and finally agreed to make her a new one. Then he came back a few minutes later with her money. I asked where my money was, since I didn t get a discount or the wrong pizza they had originally made. He said it was our fault because we didn t order it properly. We know we ordered it properly. I overheard my co-worker place the order and confirm the ingredients (and it was actually the person at the register who flagged that it wasn t right in the first place). It became clear that we had caught him in a lie so he begrudgingly refunded my money too. A takeout order that was placed at 11:35 that was supposed to be ready at 12:10 took until 1:00 and I had to reschedule a meeting because we had to wait so long. I ve eaten here dozens of times over the years under the old management and now I will not go back. Also, my crazy Canuck pizza had no pulled pork on it, which was listed on the menu.
Great experience
Absolutely fantastic poutine!! Highly recommend the classic poutine, but be sure to try out the other awesome flavors!
Not impressed!
Fun environment great food large portions. My other half loved it here so much that it was where he chose to go after leaving the hospital from his motorcycle accident!! Best poutine we have had in a long time and the burgers were mouth wateringly delicious
Delicious food but it was freezing in there.
Went here a month ago and had the bbq brisket on a hoagie, it was decent. Okay flavour and a good helping. However, attempted to go again today and stood at the counter for 5 minutes without being asked for my order as well, over 70% of their menu is labelled SOLD OUT . Not sure if they re closing for the season or just don t buy ingredients, but just as well to steer clear.
Edit, I dont know whats going on but it has gone down hill in the last 5 years. Today I ordered the pull chicken poutein, its supposed to have coleslaw but they instead put donaire sauce all over the top of it. So gross. A few weeks ago I ordered and they completely forgot my poutein in the bag. This place used to be amazing. It went from my review below to them not even getting a order correct. Oh, and the fries were not even fully cooked, they were still potatoe in the middle. I am really disappointed. For the price, and amount of mistakes, Ill just make it at home. These were birthday dinners, both very disappointing. You wont ruine a third dinner treat on this family.
My wife and I had the same thing, the double smash combo. The burger was awesome but the poutine wasnt. Both of the fries in the poutines were cold to warm. My wife asked for a fresh one which wasnt much better. The guy who works there seemed to think the gravy was what needed to be hotter. So he brought a fresh poutine for my wife. The fries were definitely fresher but the gravy wasnt hot. The gravy was very salty and despite the fact that the whole poutine was fresh the cheese didnt melt. My wife wanted to give the restaurant a chance to fix the poutine before doing a review. We had been to the CC in Kitchener quite a while ago and loved it. We were going to be in the area and decided to go to the CC expecting a similar experience but were disappointed.
Humongous portions relative to price. Loaded poutines are some of the best in town. Burgers are straightforward. Pizzas are really loaded with cheese. Dietary restrictions: Some options can be made gluten free. Call in advance to check though.
The pizza is our fav. Great weekly specials.
Love this place, great food and love the decor.
Great service, outstanding food Kid-friendliness: Very caring and nice service Food : 5/5 |
Wheelchair accessibility: It was accessible Food
Great food but no table service
The customer service is too bad , the person on the counter is not at all friendly.
Very cool place!! Lived in the area forever and just found this little gem
I entered the place and only one worker was in the kitchen, he looked at me and walked away!!!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Crazy Canuck, and I cant stop raving about their phenomenal poutine, known as the DTK. The Crazy Canuck has created a culinary haven for poutine enthusiasts and lovers of mouthwatering pulled pork. The DTK poutine and the delectable pulled pork are a must-try. The friendly ambiance and exceptional service at this store only added to the fantastic dining experience. I cant wait to return and savor these incredible dishes again!
Pizza was ok. The Quebec poutine was VERY salty and it was more like cheese than curds. Parking: Huge unpaved parking lot.
This would be a 5 star place with some attention to service. Food is excellent but it s very hard to place a take out order. I spent ten minutes calling and getting a recording ( call back in a minute ), then someone finally answered and put me on hold. 12 minutes later they hadn t come back, but my spouse had arrived at the restaurant so I hung up and let him order in person. He said it wasn t busy at all. We d tried ordering once before over the phone and never gotten through. If they don t want to take phone orders they should just say that! After all that they were sold out of fish and chips, and we got the last portion of brisket for the day this was well before 6 pm. We ve tried a few different poutines as well as burgers and pulled pork and all have been tasty. Portions always ample! We got pizza once and found it disappointing for the price, though. It s close enough that we will likely order again, but if they made it easier to order we would be regulars. It s just not worth the hassle when so many other restaurants are willing to take an online order or pick up the phone when you call!
Delicious sums it up well. I love when we got their take out! To order take out, forget trying to phone it in, go there, order at the window and the wait is short. Food
Yo how do you undercook fries???
Small little restaurant. But dont get fooled. Food here was excellent. Glad we decided to give it a try. We both had the double smash combo and the poutine it came with was great.
Place is nicely decorated the staff is attentive, wife and I had the donair pizza it was good though the crust didnt seem to be made in house.
Frankly the food was dry, chicken club, frys were ok,
Good burgers
Montreal smoked meat sandwich should be removed from the menu because of the pathetic 2 slices of meat.
Smashed burger heaven! Warning: This is not fast food. It s good food. You re going to have to wait while the team behind the counter takes some AAA angus chuck and makes a mouthwatering meat-present for your face and heart (in all the right ways). I love a smashed burger. It s hard to find a great one. This was perfect. Loved the jalapeño mayo, the American cheese, the pickles and the delicious bun. To add to the lack of dissapointment, the poutine was top notch. Fresh cut fries that were beautifully seasoned, piping hot gravy, and cheese curd that squeaks with delight when you chomp into it. I loved every bite. And to top it all off, the staff was amazing. Smiles, helpful from the counter to the cook. So I left with my heart warmed and my tastebuds happy, telling all my friends they need to go share in this St Jacobs gem. Try it. You ll thank me.
Great food and definitely leave full. I look forward to coming back
Good was fresh and hot. Service was friendly and quick with orders
Delicious burger! Juicy with the grease. Poutine gravy fantastic. Everything had a small hit of heat at the end!! Awesome food!
To say this place has the best poutine in town is underselling it. They are probably the best in the country. I ordered online, food arrived fast, hot, and delicious. In the past I went here because it was good, but they seem to have only gotten better with time. The DTK poutine is to die for. The only thing I would warn people about is that the portions are ludicrous for the price so order on an empty stomach or split it with a friend. If your reading this debating if you want to try it, just order and you won t be disappointed.
Nice spot across from the farmers market. Poutine was awesome!!
I had the burger and it was simply delicious. Freshly made patty.
Fantastic food, fantastic staff! Thoroughly enjoyed!
Went there yesterday for the classic quebec poutine. Brought me back to my childhood growing up on Notre Dame Du Nord, Quebec. Amazing meal and finished it in 8 minute as I couldnt stop. Hopefully theyll bring in the Islander meal a.k.a. Îlot Poutine.
Ultimate brewery and fast food eatery with great ambience
Love this place. Great food, great people, great service. Only suggestion, cover you booth benches in a different material, the fabric really holds onto stains.
We went there after visiting the antique shop next door and ordered a few pizzas and poutine. The donair pizza was our favourite of all, I really recommend it. I didn t like the poutine so much, maybe I should ve tried a different one, nevertheless it was a good size and loaded with toppings. Another nice thing is they use potatoes from close by farms. Overall it was a good experience. I look forward to trying other things on the menu next time we are in the area.
Just had a wicked Montreal smoked meat sandwich. Recommend it.
Had the hamburger and fries. The food was good. Food
Easily one of the best bacon cheeseburgers in the city.
Huge portions!!
Hands down one of the best burgers and poutine you can find in town. The seating is limited and the atmosphere is very rustic, but this location feels like its meant to be more of a takeaway location compared to their main location downtown. Still excellent food after a dozen orders and never any errors.
Amazing place with an awesome vibe. Great food portions and awesome decorations
First time here and I really enjoyed my food and beer.
Really great food and portions for the money you pay. Worth checking out!
Great local place in Waterloo on the way to St. Jacobs. Has the look and feel of the old school truck stops and the food is great. I come back regularly and am rarely disappointed in the food I get. Kid-friendliness: Its a little loud but has plenty of room and there is a high chair for use.
Food was delicious! Great place to grab a substantial meal!
Little hesitant at first as the place itself was super small and the menu was mostly pub style take out food. Ended up being hands down one of the best burgers Ive ever had.
best Poutine Ive ever ate, and the rib that comes on top is just perfect.... price is more than fair too.
