Kam Yin Restaurant serves delicious Chinese food. Order for delivery or pickup! Try our Sweet & Sour Chicken Balls, Sesame Chicken, Wonton Soup, or Lemon Chicken. We are located at A450 Erb St W, in Waterloo, ON.
If you’re looking for the best Chinese food in town, look no further! This restaurant truly stands out with its incredible flavors and top-notch service. The highlight of my visit was the lemon chicken—without a doubt, the best I’ve had anywhere in the city. Perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and topped with a tangy-sweet lemon sauce that strikes just the right balance. The menu offers a wide variety of authentic dishes, each bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is cozy yet elegant, perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions. I highly recommend this gem to anyone craving exceptional Chinese cuisine. Don’t leave without trying the lemon chicken—it’s a must!
Went in for Lunch today. My wife ordered sesame chicken but received lemon chicken with some sesame seeds sprinkled on top. If she wanted lemon chicken that’s what she would have ordered! I ordered wonton dumpling soup, had two little dumplings and rest was broth as well Kung Pao Beef was all vegetables and sauce, very little beef. There were 3 servers on and half full restaurant, they were all chatting it up in the corner and ignoring their patrons. Was always a great place to go, something has changed won’t be back, lots of choices out there.
There were about 12 of us for a joint birthday outing. Though the service was quick we were the only ones dining in. The food however wasn't the best. The egg rolls were over done and partially burnt. The rice tasted like it was microwaved and not very hot. I had a coffee but was never offered another. Probably because of this and the distance from where I live I won't be going back.
KAM YIN knows how to ruin a night by providing sub standard food. Breaded shrimp were battered in thick dough. No breading. Likewise Jardoo wings boiled and dipped in thick flour batter. See photos. Disgusting. I returned the product to head kitchen person and they say that's just the way it is. Oh my!. Didn't offer refund or any token. Will never go there again. Kam Yin used to be a highly rated. Beware.
How have I not eaten here before? Had a late night craving and called in an order just before they closed. Everything was fresh, and the taste! Not sure how they prepare but it tasted better than any I’ve ever tried! Little Gem maybe that’s why it’s such a secret!!!! Job well done and btw the staff was very professional/helpful! Congrats I know where I’m going when not having time to cook. Looking forward to working through your menu!!!!!
First time trying Kam Yin in many years. I ordered pick up meal for one as I live 2 blocks away. Vegetable fried rice had one lonely bean sprout and nothing else. Ordered an extra egg roll but didn't get little sauce package for it. But the worst part was being ignored for over 5 minutes while my order sat on the counter. A delivery service guy tried to get her attention as his order was getting cold as well. When he left with his order to deliver I was still ignored even though standing at the machine to pay my bill. Meal was barely warm by the time I drove the 2 blocks home. There is another restaurant a bit farther way that I always get a generous, hot meal that has nice fresh vegetables. I should have gone with the one I know and like but thought this would be a good option as it is so close. Mistake!
Ordered a number one, Egg roll tasted amazing, was very crunchy, the sweet and sour pork was extremely crunchy but lacked a little in flavor, rice is brown, Fluffy, and tastes amazing. Would definitely recommend this place for a cheap but quality bite to eat Update: I got sick 2 hours after eating
Sesame chicken was good and would probably be even better when it hasn't been in a takeout container for the drive home. Other dishes were well prepared. The "Beef with Ginger" dish is not the same as "Ginger Beef" you might get at other restaurants, so dont order it expecting it to be breaded. The fried rice tasted more burnt than I would like. Food was ready quickly and seems fresh.
Standard asian cuisine. Nothing to brag about. Held our family Xmas there, could have used some vegetables with what was offered. Mainly deep fried.
We order food by delivery and when everything arrived, it was the most disgusting Chinese food we ever have, every single plate was terrible prepared.
Absolutely rude new owners. Vaping while I was trying to eat left nauseous. After I calmed down, I went back and had my money returned. Employees did not know the new owners name very odd. Have my money back. Sad because my family has been coming here for 15 years now, never again.
Amazing food. Best Chinese restaurant in the kw area. I just wish the Wonton soup had more than 3. Its the best. Mmm.
I take my daughter there once a week. We love it!
Definitely a go to! We order pickup often. Containers are over flowing and delicious. We enjoy the leftovers too!! Food
We love how delicious and easy it is to order takeout at this location. Food is usually ready pretty quickly and is always hot when we get it home. Dietary restrictions: Our daughter has several nut allergies and even though they cannot guarantee anything due to liability, they were very confident she could eat anything from their menu (they do have an almond dish if you are allergic to that nut).
We had takeout this weekend. We have ordered from you for years and years and never been disappointed. Just ordered takeout this weekend and the food was terrible. Spring rolls were greasy, no vegetables at all in any of the dishes. Very disgusted. Will never go again. Put the food out for skunks and they didnt even eat it.
Food tasted stale, chicken balls were hard and cracked when you bit into them. Not what Im used to at all. Customer service could be better especially when theres no one else in the store. Dont think this is a repeat for me.
This place used to be a Waterloo gem. Dont bother going in for dining room service. You will be ignored, as priority is walk in take out orders.
Great little treasure tucked away in Kitchener-Waterloo. Spring rolls were amazing!!!! Pineapple chicken, not so good. Very bland and over cooked.
The food was really good at its price point, but the floor was dirty when I came in on a Saturday after noon. The women s bathroom also smells off
Food was good but restaurant very filthy. Floors windows washrooms please do your spring cleaning. Tables were sticky. Won t be back
Check your pickup order before you leave
I ordered from here for the first time last night. I put the order in at 5:45pm, the food was delivered at 7:40pm, just 5 minutes shy of 2 hours. I called the restaurant 3 times and was told the driver had picked up the food and should be there any minute. When it arrived it was all cold, the egg rolls and chicken balls were soggy.
I ordered food for my kids and I and the rice was burnt I know its called fried rice but its not called burnt rice legit black rice never again.
I love the shiiiyfriedrice 10/10
I finally found my dog. It tasted good.
I am not a person to give people bad reviews about something cuz you always have to give people benefit of the doubt but I came in this restaurant and I dont know if thats the owner or a man who works there but he was so cold he was rushing me to take an order he didnt care with his customer me. It was my first time coming to this restaurant and I think its my last my advice to give to either the owner or whoever that gentleman was is next time to have people skills you are working in a people industry where you need to provide kindness as well. And the food was not great the rice tasted like it was burnt no seasoning it was just blend..sorry
Fast service but food was absolutely horrible. Undercooked Egg Food Young, gravy taste like flour, egg rolls were mushy on inside, I threw it away. Please get a better cook
What a poor excuse for a restaurant!!!!! The young man serving has no personality, extremely shy does not make eye contact and you have to almost push him to respond. He certainly is off putting. We had to ask for water as he did not offer any drinks the water is luke warm sitting in a plastic jug at the front counter again no ice was offered. The place was totally empty and the décor is from 30 or so years ago. Now for the food I ordered a combination plate of sesame chicken (which was very suspicious of lemon chicken) it came with vegetable rice (no vegetables were found) and an inedible spring roll. My husband ordered the special fried rice which was tasteless and the spicy pork chop which he said was not bad. All in all for a total of $45.00 a very bad experience will never return and will advise you dont waste your time or money.
Online order take out. Transaction is easy. Food is terrible. Three dishes. One shrimp dish was acceptable. Rainbow beef dish had very small potion of beef in it. The meat is over done, so chewy... One pork rib dish looked like left over, tasted like left over. Not worth it.
This place has 100% renewed my faith that Chinese food is delicious when cooked properly! This place hit the ball out of the park and I enjoyed every single bite of all three dishes I ate had a great time enjoying great food with great company! I highly recommend!
I placed an online order for pickup & there were several items missing. I phoned & was told I would have to come into restaurant for a refund. I had my order details & delivery receipt with me but they refused to issue a credit to my visa card because order was done online.
We decided to visit for a late Christmas dinner with my father and grand mother. For the table we ordered the Meal for 6 A. Disappointing all the way around. Service was disjointed (brought out the chicken balls by themselves - so six of us just sitting there eating just those). We had to request water and tea. Tea was luke warm and the water was tap temp. When the rest of the food finally came I would say it was fairly flavorless and overly oily (especially the noodles). The beef and chicken in the dishes was tender, I will give them that, but otherwise below mediocre. As for the restaurant itself, very much cafeteria vibes, tired and plain, with a couple of tables just stacked with unfolded takeout boxes, like a work station. We did have a fair bit of leftovers to take home. The portions were generous but it was really just more food no was eating because it wasnt all that good. There are many other Chinese restaurants I would spend my money at before ever considering going back here. In the end, good company and conversation but not because of Kam Yin or its food.
Used to be my fav. Been going there for a decade or more. Food quality is consistently fine. Nothing stellar, but not at all bad. However, lately things have gone downhill where food quality isn t concerned. Price hikes I get and accept. But they ve also made portions smaller, included far less sauce, and on top of the price hikes, they now force a 10% tip. For what you get, which is fine, you are paying a decidedly not fine price. Service is touch and go. mostly I find them indifferent, but I didn t mind as long as I felt I was getting value. Less and less, I feel like it s worth it.
Honestly i come here a lot. Walk in take out, figured it would of been open on the holiday. Sure enough it was. So i walked in. With that being said, they were pretty busy. I know becaused i asked. Now that was the worst yet and i was so hungry too. Barley touched it wasnt fresh at all. All protiens were dry like they were day olds, the veggy rice came plain no veg. Tasted like vinegar and soy sauce. Almost.if the rice was going off. Im not impressed. Im not the one to do reveiws but literally 1 out 5 dishes were edible . Chicken balls. Im still hungry. You think to hustle on a holiday when only so many people are open. The Busy turn over should of been there for fresher product. But NO! so disappointed Vegetarian options: I ordered ved rice Received plain rice that tasted like vinegar and soy sauce. Almost as if the rice was going off. Portioned 2 serving and did not finish it at all
Was pleasantly surprised how good the gluten free pad thai was. Better than Ben thanh.
I am blown away by the flavours of everything we ordered this evening. Something has changed and it was amazing!!!
Owner is rude to customers. Not a reliable place at all. Dont go anywhere near it, regardless of what you read about them. Used to get food weekly for the past few months, but never again. Their loss, lots of other places we can get Chinese food from, which will taste just as good or better.
If I could give zero stars, I most definitely would! The Chow Mein was tasteless and the stir fry vegetables were scarce... on the endangered vegetables list? The Sweet & Sour Shrimp was nothing short of pathetic, almost no taste to it. And finally, the Honey Garlic Ribs were barely sweet, no signs of garlic and like all fast food, looked nothing like the picture. With so many other choices in Waterloo, we will not be ordering from Kam Yin EVER AGAIN!
Ordered a Dinner for 4 (A) over $50 with taxes. 1 box of chicken balls 1 box of fried wonton All other dishes were half height takeout boxes, felt pretty scammed when I saw the amount of food they were giving. 1 chicken chop sure 1 chicken fried rice 1 beef and broccoli 1 vegetables fried
Terrible Rainbow beef very chewy , all grizzel. Won t be ordering from them again!
Horrible taste. Never gonna come back.
Authentic and Canadian Chinese food here.. very very good.. lunch special is a great deal
The food is very good. The service is very good. And the price is very fair.
great Chinese food!
The male employee is unkind.
So gross
We got dilivery that was good but the food was not ot had no flavor i would have done better buying a jar of sause and cooking my self will not re order what a waste of money
Spent almost $80 for my mom who just had surgery we got Tofu pad thai, it had zero flavor. We got chicken lo mein, zero flavor we got general Tao chicken that was good. We got chicken fried rice it was ok but very oily. The chicken ball were 90% breading I understand they normally have lots of breading but this was a bit too much. I will not return again.
One of the best place to eat western Chinese food!
I wanted to taste a Chinese food and this restaurant did not disappoint me.
Authentic place!!! This is my husband s favorite place! Fantastic service and staff!
I placed a large food order for about 10 people for a birthday party. After 2 hours of waiting, my food never arrived. When I called the restaurant they told me they forgot to call the driver and there was nothing they could do. When i asked for a refund i was told they dont give refunds and that they would give me 20% off my next order. I explained how unacceptable this was, especially since it was for a party and a rather expensive order, but the front desk person as well as the owner of the restaurant did not seem to care and did not attempt to make the situation right at all. In the end, I never received my food or my refund. Absolutely insane. Will NEVER order from this place again!
Food was disappointing old favorites didn t taste the same and half portions We won t order again.
We order from this restaurant weekly. Chicken balls and a number 3 combo with an extra eggroll. Every single time the food had been on point. The one time they confused our order they called us before we even got home and fixed it. Even the one time we only got one fortune cookie when we mentioned something they sent us home with a ton. The customer service and pride in quality is wonderful. Thank you!
chicken ball is very delicious. I would say the chicken ball is the best. Also the honey garlic pork chop is also a good choice here. Just forgot to take a snap for the food. I will come back for those next time!
The worst hot and sour soup i have ever tasted in my life. This should be banned from planet earth. It is literally inedible. Please for the love of earth change your recipe. I am a lover or hot and sour soup and this is literally the worst thing i have ever tasted. I suggest make from scrath. Absolutely horrible.
Yummy Chinese (with a Canadian spin), beautiful presentation and speedy, courteous service. A neighbourhood gem.
Ordered take out for 15 people and the containers were small and shallow, not worth the money, food quality was good and delivery was on time
Ive ordered today sesame chicken with steam rice and when i picked up had lemon sauce on it!was nothing close to sesame chiken, also very tastless..ive called back and he told me that sesame chiken comes with lemon all over it?not true, ive had sesame chiken before and know what should taste like!would definitely not recoomend this place..very disappointed!
Our family has eaten here for many years and every time we have Chinese food elsewhere we always return to Kam Yin. We have always ordered and picked up. Never had a problem with the food. Food is always fresh, hot and oh soooo good!
Been getting takeout for years. Our family enjoys it every time! It s our go to Chinese takeout!
Ordered #8 & #9. The sesame chicken & chicken chop suey were ok. The egg role, spring roll and overcooked rice were very greasy & flavourless. We will not be a return customer
I come here 3 times a week for their lunch special. They always have delicious food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere! My favorite Chinese place in town.
Wonderful food
Never order from here. They have terrible customer service. They have missed items from my order more than once and they dont do anything about it. The food is good, but they have officially lost my business.
The food was very delicious and services are also very excellent .
Tried for the first time tonight, got the beef pad Thai and another beef dish. Their spring rolls were gross and the food literally had no flavour. Please save your money this place is trash
I previously gave this restaurant a hood review but have noticed the quality is declining and the attitude of a regular server is terrible. I bought my son and his family $76.00 worth of chinese food here and when I came in to pick it up anolder thin man at the cash looked up and said yeah.i was my usual friendly self and told him why I was there. He was rude and then rang in the sale and dismissively turned the machine for me to pay without another word. I paid and took the food ... no thank you or other word spoken. The food was a 3 and greasy, the attitude a 1. I am only mad at myself for not turning around and leaving!
Really good food, love the new decor. Really friendly staff.
Good value, decent food.
I ve ordered sesame chicken five times from this place and three out of five times i have gotten lemon chicken with sesame seeds on it
I normally LOVE this restaurant! But today was a sad day. I always get the black pepper steak. Look at this photo... Absolutely no sauce... The sauce makes this dish, normally there is enough sauce to add your rice to. Today, no sauce, steak is dry because there is no sauce. And a restaurant that I normally love and order from a few times a week. Let me down... Come on guys. Youre better than this.
I ordered some food from Kam Yin for the first time. The food was good. We especially enjoyed the Sweet and Sour Pork. Very tasty!
Food is very bland! Think again before placing a order.
We ordered tonight for first time. Food was excellent. Everything was hot and delicious. I am surprised by some of the other reviews on here. We will definitely order from here again.
Extremely disappointing. My wife and I ordered from here the first - and last - time on Valentine s Day. Our biggest issue were the sweet-and-sour fried wontons shown in my image. They were not wontons. They were wonton skins. They sent us a box full of fried wonton skins with zero filling. I ve never seen something like that and I m still shocked. Normally if food isn t great I don t put a review, but just because of these wontons I had to share this with others. The rest of the food was subpar. It looked like all of the food was boiled instead of fried and the noodles that came with it also look like they were just boiled with no flavour or spices. It was not good food, and it wasn t even cheap which would make me expect lower quality food. The only thing that saved them was their almond soo guy chicken. That was well-made and tasted good. But we ordered that, black bean tofu, Cantonese chow mein special, and the wonton (skins), so 1 out of 4 isn t a good experience. It saddens me to post bad reviews, especially for a restaurant during this time, but what we received was just unacceptable and I don t want others to have a similar unexpected experience.
We have been going to Kam Yins for years. Great service, great food, and excellent portions! Have tried other Chinese food restaurants in the area, but nothing compares to Kam Yins in our minds! Have tried various dishes which all have been great, but are go to order item is the Special Dinner for 2. Great combination that feeds myself, wife, 4 yr old son, and still have left overs. See you guys again soon!
Always enjoy our takeout from Kam Yin, great food and friendly staff. We have been coming for 17+ years and will be back soon.
Kam Yin is our favourite. Hands down. The food selection is great, the staff is always so friendly and helpful when you call in orders. If you order over the phone for pickup you actually get a % off rather than ordering from a delivery app. We are obsessed with the egg rolls and sesame chicken, SO GOOD! Highly recommend supporting this local gem, you don t want to miss out on this awesome Chinese food.
Greasy and no flavour, doesnt seem fresh either. Waste of money
After so much disappointment with Mei King, it is really nice to find a restaurant that has both delicious food and full chicken balls and not that pathetic excuse of a chicken ball offered by Mei King. I would like to see that soy sauce chow mein here but regardless I am super happy with it!
Tried this restaurant for the first time this evening and was rather dissapointed. I ordered a fairly simple take-out order of 4 combination plates and a couple extra eggrolls by phone and then drove to pick it up. After the 15 minute drive home I opened the order to find that one of the meals was missing. Called back and arranged to pickup the missing meal 15 minutes later. No apology or even excuse was offered for missing one whole meal. As to the food, the eggrolls were dripping in cooking oil and the fried rice was swimming in liquids. Chop suey was extremely bland but the chicken balls were good. Overall an unappetizing meal. Wont be returning to this restaurant as I have had much better Chinese food at other restaurants in my area.
Website missed part of our order. We were charged an additional fee for the missed items. The owner kept saying I dont know I dont know. The other meals were cold having to wait. I will NEVER order from here again!!!! Poor customer service!!!
Our usual restaurant closed after 27 years so we decided to try this one and was disappointed. Food was nothing to wow about. The website could use an update no food description and the picture wasnt what you get.
God awful
Kam Yin has been our go to place for decades. Great people!
First time trying the chinese food combo 4 here and found a plastic wrap within the fried rice. Do not recommend.
Either surly service or heavily over salted. Not worth the effort.
We were visiting friends in ON and they liked this restaurant so I ordered a meal for 8 of us paid with my credit card, food was good not great but when we were on our way home to BC they kept my credit card on file and attached it to their phone number, not cool!!! You are not allowed to do that without the customers permission, had to cancel my card and get a new number
Fond memories of this spot best classical Canadian-Chinese spot in the area
The egg rolls are large and have a great crisp, with a meaty filling thats second to none. The open burnt ends add something special to The taste that Ive never had anywhere else. We added chicken and spring rolls to our order to have a little sample. You could taste the chicken in the chicken rolls, which was awesome.
Super bad experience. We waited an hour and 45 minutes for the food. There were 7 of us, so we had quite a big order. No one enjoyed their cold meal. Will never order from them again.
The chicken balls were soggy, I swear they were reheated in the microwave.
Staff was a bit rude and food was average.
Extremely rude.
Absolutely the worst chinese food we have ever had. Tasteless....of the 4 of us everyone said it was horrible!
Great
Very friendly service...food freshly prepared and reasonably priced...
Food is good and at a great price.
Whats not to love! Food is great, prices are easy and atmospheric is simple and friendly: just like the staff is very friendly. Full menu selection. A family and friends place. Very clean. Restaurants like this one make better neighbourhoods.
Good food...good service but they need to put shrimp toast back on the menu...
verry bad service
Edit April 2020.. they went back to the great egg rolls!! Must be a new cook food is much better. ___________________ The new egg rolls are terrible and when I tried to ask if it was temporary, they were very rude!! Not going back.
Got takeout today and it was just a good as I recall. Best lemon chicken and egg rolls!
Best Chinese food it KW.
Kam Yins service and food was exemplary!! They prepared and delivered lunch meals to several group homes in the area recently. They even accommodated our need for a 1130-12 delivery time frame by opening a bit earlier!! I would definitely order from them again!!
Always good fare!
Horrible customer service. I ordered based on the menu on their website. They gave me the wrong food. When I went back to say one thing was wrong, they said that the website menu was out of date. They refused to give me what I paid for and also refused a refund. Wont be go going back. The food was meh - chicken dishes were good, rice tasted old.
Good service and people are friendly. We order in store today, it just 15 mins waiting for my family dinner. Will come back again!
The food was fine, but we were shocked at how some of the food was prepared. Especially the orange chicken, it was like soup with orange slices? Very strange. They replaced the orange chicken when we called them, which we very much appreciated. Otherwise, it was decent.
A few months back I was about to sink my teeth into some chicken when there was a cockroach chillin on there. Called health and safety and they did nothing
Very bland food. It seems like everything was cooked in a clear sauce with tonnes of garlic in it. Bbq pork slices and wonton soup were Luke warm. With less than 15 minute drive, items that should be piping hot when leaving would not be barely warm when in a bag with other hot stuff. Only 2 wontons in the wonton soup. The Cantonese chowmain was very disappointing as the container was only about half filled.
First time order from this place. Order was very fast with good service . However, we only tasted a little of all four plates we ordered. Too salty and greasy. Meat and shrimp are not fresh.
Awesome food, quick service. One of the best in Waterloo.Worth for 5 star.
OMG....... I adore this spot! The takeout is consistently of high qualtity, the service towards the clients is good. I often go to this restaurant and I not even once was discontended.
Chicken Fried Rice and Cantonese Chao Mein are delicious
Great location
Good food
WORST EVER!!! Went there for takeout on New Years Day. When placing my order I asked if we could just have plain lo mein noodles no chicken or vegetables or onions. It was a flat-out no as they were too busy to accommodate anything. I mentioned that I had an allergy and there was minimal done to accommodate that. When we went to go pick up our meal, it was so busy and disorganized. They didnt give us our second bag of food. We drove a half-hour home only to get a phone call and say that they forgot to give it to us. When I asked what they would do to compensate that, having to drive back again, fuel and wasted time, along with now having a cold dinner, they said they would give me 10 free spring rolls. We didnt even order spring rolls so why would I want 10 free ones?! They then said they would give us $15 off our next meal. Well that made no sense since we would never go back there again why would I want that? They said what do you want? I offered 15% off our order. They said they would give is $10 cash. What a joke!!! We didnt get any fortune cookies and their food was AWFUL and very greasy. Will never go back there again which is a shame since it used to be great.
Last night we ordered takeout from Kam Yin, and I have to say that it was some of the freshest, best tasting Chinese Ive had in a long, long time. We were previously getting our Chinese takeout from other local restaurants and thought wed give Kam Yim a try. It was fantastic. Even my kids who are picky eaters said it was some of the best food theyd ever had. Reading some of the reviews on here makes it sound awful. Maybe the restaurant changed something after reading the negative reviews? Not sure, but Id recommend it.
Family run... busy hub.... lots of sweet red sauce
Food was ok for the style of food they served. I will say my only complaint is the dinner we ordered the dinner for 5B came with spring rolls. I asked for them to substitute a spring roll for an egg roll. They waiter said that was a 1$ fee. That cheap policy down grades my entire experience. The right answer is yes sir. I am sure these owners didnt intend that policy for one egg roll. It think that was for someone who wants to change a major dish. Anyhow I ate the damn spring roll and I have this lasting impression. Ok good but poor service.
The new management has really stepped up the dining experience here.
First off to all you wilmot township folk this Chinese food restaurant delivers up to 18 km away that includes many of the Little bergs second of all I am very impressed with the delivery speed and quality of the food first time Ive ordered was today. food definitely tastes a little different because of their low-sodium cooking but I didnt feel bloated afterwards like I so often do after Chinese food. an excellent choice
Amazing food and great prices!
Busy takeout, especially around Christmas and new years. Dining room small and dated, but great food
Always so good!
Good food, comes in large portions.
Some of the best Chinese cuisine in town.
Good value, not excellent food, but good food.
Nice staff. Good value and a nice selection
Family favourite. Good old greasy-spoon takeout Chinese. Been coming here for years.
All the Canadian Chinese favorites. Simple quick and tasty at a good price. Attentive service.
Best Chinese food in KW in my opinion
Fast, Fresh, Hot, Delicious.
Nice restaurant great food nice environment Excellent service
Great food, excellent service, highly recommend.
Not as good as expected
Good food, reasonable prices, friendly staff
Waterloo has a much better selection of Chinese restaurants near the university
The lemon chicken is the best anywhere
Great food! A Waterloo landmark.
Great
We had dinner here for the first time. Usually we just would go for lunch. The place was really busy, yet the food came out quickly and perfectly warm I was also impressed with the cleaned washrooms, the mold and mildew were gone . All in all it was a good experience.
Friendly service, bright freshly painted restaurant and the food is tasty! We go often and ALWAYS enjoy ourselves
Good food, fast service they are the best for lemon chicken
Super yummy general tsao! Great value, served hot and quick!
Great food, but staff.need to engage more with their customers.
Great value for the lunch special.
Tasty food, friendly service and good price!
Always hot fresh fast and SOOOO good. A real gem of a place. Bright and light decor with a full wall of windows. Ask about the daily lunch specials. AMAZING family owned and run. Good people. If I could give them 10 stars I would.
As consistent as ever, the best Lemon Chicken around. Never a disappointment whether dining in or getting take out.
Highly recommend Cantonese chow mein!
Such great customer service :)
Mediocre food. Service was slow and not very attentive.
Our favourite Chinese food in KW
Service took so long and I was the only one in the restaurant during lunch hour and the orange chicken tasted like junk and the orange sauce was more sour than sweet.
Always excellent !
Food is good but staff is always very slow.
Not bad...
Good service, newly renovated.
Delicious food!
Needs to use Skip the Dishes
Great food
Lunch is always good...has been painted and cleaned up
Store sign says open till ten, but got there are 930 and were closed.
It is good Canadian Chinese food
Great food! No MSG
Totally awesome ! I have been there n ate at least 6 times Always tasty n delicious n very reasonably priced ,highly recommended , cant go wrong !!!!!
Food is always delish and the service always friendly. This is the only place we go for Chinese food in Waterloo.
Food was great! I had General Tao Chicken with some Sweet and Sour Pork for lunch, both dishes were crispy and fresh. Loved it!
Got the lunch platter it was great. Great pricing friendly service will for sure go back
Food was not the best for take out. It used to be better long time ago. Very small portions on take out.
Love the food but their portions drive me insane. This is the only Chinese food place that doesn t fill up the container. Every time we ve ordered from here (and we order fairly regularly), the containers are never filled up fully. Sometimes it s not too bad but other times like today is really frustrating. We ordered beef Lo main and this is what we got (see picture). Next time we order, I ll make sure to address this because this is way too frustrating. That said - best mushroom fried rice I ve ever had and their food is very tasty.
Great food, variety.Good service,as well as seating.
Lunch was horrible. Two chicken dishes were exactly the same but a different sauce. Absolutely no veggies with. My friend had chicken with veggies and the only veggie was celery...pretty chintzy. Used to love this restaurant. Not now.
Great Chinese food. My family has been coming here for 30yrs.
