Fantastic food and atmosphere

For your dining dollar I would recommend you go elsewhere. Service was abysmally slow for all aspects of the meal except for when it was time for the cheque. This, coincidentally, was the only time our server made any attempt at any sort of pleasantries or conversation as well. The sandwich I ordered tasted okay but arrived to the table cold, as did several other meals for our table. Carrot cake dessert had good frosting was dry. Table was had water rings and ballpoint pen on it. The water glasses were dirty with lip marks as well. Lots of potential wasted with this place. Could be a good spot with some effort.

We went for brunch and the service was so bad with a server who left us sitting at the table for 20 minutes. Everyone s food was bland, no butter on the toast, no seasoning on the eggs, and we had to wait for our server to come around again to ask for salt and pepper. For the price we each paid for one meal and one drink, with an hour and 20 minute wait, it wasn t really worth it.

The food was great but the service was HORRIBLE. It was not that busy for how terribly slow they were. The server barely acknowledged us and didnt refill our coffee. It took her 20 mins to even come to the table. The food took over 1 hour which is insane for two sandwiches. The food was good but this service was god awful and rude and I wont be coming back. We almost walked out due to lack of communication. Lack of service and an insane wait for what we ordered. Do better and get better servers.

Its a vibe

Every time we come to bodega it s amazing, but this time, especially, was incredible. Our server went above and beyond to take care of my toddler and made sure she got her favourite drink. He was extremely friendly and kind! Not a fuss was made from my daughter all dinner and that s a real win. Incredible service, incredible food & we always love eating here!!

My review is for pre-experience. It is virtually impossible to get a hold of some. When I called - no voicemail service. We wanted to inquire about a group party/event. Were told someone would get back to us - no reply. So onto the next company.

This place is my 100% go to place for dinner in Waterloo. The food, drink and vibes are more than amazing. The shiitake mushroom and brussel sprouts are surprisingly tasty, definitely recommend. For main course we sometimes get the flank steak or pesto and burrata, those are pretty good as well. I also got the white lotus recommended by our server and it s great.

I was there for a Xmas party. I believe everything my table ordered was mass produced or frozen. The service was poor. Our meal took around 2 hours to come out and the serving staff seldom checked on us. In 2 hours no one at our table got more than 2 drinks (including water). They offered a free dessert to go to offset the pour service. 2 of the 3 desserts weren t even what we asked for. I won t be going back.

We rented the space as a cocktail hour venue for our wedding. Everything was exceptional and was definitely one of the highlights of our wedding. Amazing drinks and food for any occasion!

Me and my friend arrived here and the hostess told us to seat ourselves, first red flag. She was not very nice and seemed inconvenienced by us. We waited over 20 minutes just to get menus and waters all the while being visible by waitstaff. Every step of the service was excruciatingly long. We waited another 20-30 minutes for coffees after we ordered and then longer for our food. We ordered the shakshuka and cinnamon french toast. The food was incredibly mediocre and made worse by the incredibly slow service. It was so hard to flag down any server. After asking for the bill, we waited for over 20 minutes for the bill. The server was really nice and it wasn t his fault, it just seems like a very disorganized place. I normally never write reviews but I ve never ever been served so slowly at every step of service. I would not come back here. The place looks flashy and pretty, the menu looks fun but this business should really focus on less gimmicks and better quality of service via properly staffing their establishment for busier times. One server for a weekend brunch service for the entire restaurant is not enough. Also, a table beside me left after putting in their order and waiting over an hour because their service was so slow.

My first time to Bodega Rose and it will now be a staple! My colleague and I checked this place out impromptu and it did not disappoint. Our waitress Emma was amazing; very attentive but not overbearing, and she made fantastic food recommendations. The vibe was immaculate and the food oh my goodness. Korean chicken, Miami short ribs and truffle fries were all insane. Highly recommend and this will be a regular spot for me now!!

Pretty good food, but pricey for what you get (tapas)! They really leaned into the millennial pink/white marble aesthetic which is not my thing, but will likely be back because we need more high quality restaurants in KW!

The place and food is good! However the service wasn t the greatest, I asked for a straw and she brought it over as she held it in her hands (I didn t know which side I wanted in or out of my cup from where her hand touched) She also was very late bringing the bread and butter before our meal that came while we were eating our main meal and quickly took everything away without asking if we wanted it all gone. It wasn t a busy day in the restaurant but felt rushed.

Visited recently for the second time and everything was just a bit underwhelming. Got the beet salad, brussels sprouts, oysters, baked feta, and duck dumplings. No real standouts. Nice atmosphere but the food felt uninspired

Wow! Blown away with this place! First time here and the food and atmosphere are outstanding! Came in on a Thursday for a quick meet up and couldn t be happier Had the grilled cheese with bacon and tomato soup (it was called soemthing different but wow) super flavourful and the sandwich was huge Value was outstanding! The person I was with had the tuna poke bowl and also enjoyed it very much 6/5 place is outstanding - compliments to the chef

If you are looking for a place with fantastic pastas and salad, Bodega is the name. I visited on a pleasant Thursday evening, was greeted by Marshall (Outstanding personality) got spicy shrimps with rock sauce (the best appetizer) with two spicy rigatoni with chicken. I recommend this place, must visit and ask Marshall about finest cocktails - he will not let you regret this! Adding on - THURSDAY IS PASTA SPECIALS!

I had a great time trying out Bodega tonight. Marshall gave us some world class service. Well definitely be back.

They closed the restaurant suddenly for the night for a private event, but provided no advance notice. They put up a post about it 30 minutes after they were supposed to open, but Id already walked all the way here. Very annoying when restaurants arent open consistently due to events - even worse when it happens suddenly without notice.

Here for a private event but the service was incredible and both the food and drinks were sublime as well.

A first . Ok overall. Sharing idea is great but portions are so small . The beet salad was very nice. The sauces are to die for but unless get some bread you can.t enjoy soaking them up. Mussels small, good, but maybe 10 of them. Scallops done nicely but small, sauce nice.Halloumi ok. Pepper sauce is nice. Steak on main side was awful. Tuff flank boot for 30 $ Plus and a handful fries to share. Service good. Whtie Wine was nice and cold and good. Skipped desert . Great for some different things but price point for amount sharing is questionable. Steak needs a rethink.

Creative menu, delicious food, and portions that are too big for moi! One of the few great brunch places in the area. Definitely worth going to.

Euhhh the food was overpriced and not good. I ordered the chicken thighs and they tasted like rubber, and I ordered a beet salad that had yogurt as the base. Very gross. Then paid like 60 $ for that. the Cesar was good though !

Had dinner here last night and the food was amazing! Great cocktails and great food! My 2 friends and I shared everything which was tapas style and very eclectic as far as cuisine options: Beef tartare, red curry mussels, halloumi fries, burrata, Brussel sprouts and cauliflower, and patatas bravas. For dessert we had apple pie crumble, carrot cake and Baked Phyllo Wrapped Cheesecake (this was outstanding!). And our sever Kamden was so attentive, helpful and looked after us very well! I will definitely be going back!

Our daughter lives in Kitchener and chose this restaurant for her graduation dinner and We were a group of four. The decor and atmosphere is lovely. The restaurant was quite busy and it Is a great place for couples as well as small and large groups. We decided to order seven Shareables, which was perfect for four people. We also wanted to try the Mac and cheese, but they were out. The shareables we ordered were delicious and since our daughter and her boyfriend are vegetarian, there was lots of options. Highly recommend the halloumi fries, Burata, falafel and Pita, spicy tempura shrimp, tuna tartare, and truffle fries Thank you to the server for accommodating our needs. We would definitely come back.

Absolutely stellar service from start to finish! The hostess warmly greeted us upon arrival, setting the tone for the exceptional experience ahead. Our server, Erika, was not only attentive but also lightning-fast, super friendly, and eager to accommodate our needs (oh and we can be demanding). Despite the food scoring a 7 out of 10, (my favorite was the scallops wrapped in bacon, they are really good) Erikas outstanding service truly made our visit memorable. Its evident that customer satisfaction is their top priority, and for that reason alone, well definitely be returning.

My friend and I popped into this place for late brunch around 1pm yesterday to try this place out after our usual place ended up being too crowded. We both got the Salmon Benedict and shareable French Toast; they were all delicious! Definitely would come back again to try out the other brunch options, as well as maybe dinner or a casual lunch. I docked one star since service was a bit slow despite being friendly--no one welcomed us in, I had to go up and ask a server if we could sit down somewhere, and also get up and ask a separate time for the menus. This was understandable though given that there were only two servers fielding about 8+ tables. Hoping some more helpers get hired; this place has lots of potential.

My sister and I wanted somewhere on the nicer scale to eat at so we chose this restaurant. I have zero complaints really! Food was delicious and fast, the service was great and atmosphere- so cute and laid back. My waitress was a sweetheart, she even asked for my ID so pstttt I was flattered (iykyk). One of my drinks were free so I call that a win.

Giving this place a 3 star only because the atmosphere is amazing and inside is very clean and nicely decorated. However, food was disappointing. Potatoes were undercooked and poached eggs were hard boiled. Coffee was okay but nothing special, given the price. I really wanted to love this place but unfortunately food was disappointing.

What a wonderful find in Waterloo. My husband and I had the opportunity of visiting Bodega Rose 3 times this year. Each experience was phenomenal. The food is absolutely delicious and our server, Becky was amazing and made our night out very special!

Had been looking forward to visiting here for awhile and was a bit let down. Went for brunch, only 1 other table there when we arrived (and they had already ordered). No freshly squeezed juice (a miss in my opinion for a brunch place), no coconut milk available as a milk alternative for a latte. Asked for a few minutes to make our selections, server didnt return for 15+ minutes. Food took another 30 minutes to arrive (for 2 ppl) even though there were no other orders pending. Cinnamon french toast was very tasty but came out without the fruit on top (as indicated in the menu). Asked the server for it, she seemed genuinely surprised that I wanted that and then took 10 minutes to bring a teeny tiny bowl of berries out to me. I also had to ask the server to accept my reservation on their POS system so I would earn my Open Table points and her reponse was What is Open Table? Overall a miss, not sure Id return as there are better places for brunch available with more attention to detail

Nicely designed interior, our party of four rated the food 4 star, however mine was too salty for my taste. Cocktails could have been presented a little more creative for the price. Noise level was too loud from the other patrons. Not that impressed overall.

We went to Bodega Rose for the first time for a girls dinner and have the most amazing time. It is such a unique space with amazing decor. As soon as you walk in you are mesmerized by the atmosphere and the roses everywhere. The food did not disappoint. Highly recommend and we will be returning .

The atmosphere of Bodega Rose is beautiful. The service is good as well but there was 1-2 servers so it can be a bit slow. The food was mediocre, its good but I feel like I could make it at home, which isnt something I want to feel at a restaurant. Youre meant to share the dishes so we ordered the salmon, the salmon portion was enough for one person and it sat on a huge bed of mashed potatoes, so the proportions didnt make sense and it made it hard to share.

Overall, we would come here again but not regularly. The food was good but not mind-blowing. The service was ok and the general atmosphere was nice and gives a boutique-y vibe. We tried this place for the first time on a Friday night. Our server was great but the food service was very slow. I had two drinks and lots of bread waiting for the apps to come out. I ordered the steak medium-rare on the rare side and it came out not as rare as I d hoped. It was well-seasoned as were the brussel sprouts and cauliflower! The tuna tartare was was good but needed a little more acid. I wouldn t order the spanakopita again. It wasn t as crispy as I d like and I would go as far as saying I prefer the Costco ones. The churros were VERY sweet. Even my partner who treats sugar as its own food group thought it was overly sweet. However, they were comped because of the wait for the food so that was very thoughtful and accommodating of the restaurant. The gesture did improve our experience. Nice to see cuter restaurants in the region that are good for a date night!

What a cute place. The owners have an eye for design and an obvious care for crafting a welcoming space. Visually appealing with a spacious and open seating area. I loved the roses all over the ceiling and the pretty lighting in the bathrooms. The service was friendly, but I was a bit disappointed that they didnt have much on the menu for vegans. My only option for lunch was a Kale salad with currants and sunflower seeds. While tasty, I would have appreciated some choice or even an additional protein. I understand their dinner menu features Falafel, so I will be back to give them another try! My friends tuna salad was hearty and she said it was delicious. Definitely worth a visit.

Our first time to Bodega Rose and we will be back. Our server was amazing. She was personable, friendly and suggested excellent food options. The bone in ribeye steak melted in your mouth. It was delicious! The Red Thai curried coconut mussels were so flavourful. Loved them! The bread served was warm and served with a delicious whipped butter. And $30 bottle for wine on their wine Wednesday- I know what day I will be back! I also loved the decor - the mirror/ frame wall was very chic and the rose ceilings and wall very insta pic worthy. We really enjoyed our dinner and will be returning

Been hearing about this place from friends lately, they all had great experiences here. I couldnt agree more. We were greeted with smiles from all staff which further complimented the amazing atmosphere. Being our first visit, our server Katelyn enthusiastically navigated us thru the menu and we appreciated the recommendations. The Bone In Ribeye was fantastic and literally melted in your mouth. The wine she had paired with was also fabulous. Food, atmosphere and staff were top notch. It was an easy full star grade.

I really wanted to love this place. We went here with a big group for dinner on a Saturday. The service was slow, drinks come in very small glassware. The place is very loud and I waited an additional 45 minutes after everyone in my group has eaten to get my steak because they forgot about my order. The nice thing is they didn t charge me for it which I appreciated. I asked many times for a take out container which ultimately didn t come and I ended up leaving the uneaten steak behind. What I disliked most is how small the drinks are. Not worth it for the price.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Bodega Rose. The coffee was delicious, I had espresso, and an espresso martini! The halloumi dish was a delight, I loved the beef tartar, and I don t think I ve ever eaten this much in one sitting. The decor is adorable and definitely has some cute spots for photo ops! 10/10 will be back again soon!

Amazing first experience! Atmosphere and ambiance had us right away - the interior design is awesome. Cocktails were delicious (try the White Lotus!), well balanced little wine list, and a really fun food menu with so many different options that you wouldn t find at your regular restaurants. Our favs were the prosciutto wrapped scallops, tuna tartare, and mushroom gnocchi - but honestly everything was great. Service was friendly and engaging to top it all off. Will definitely be heading back ASAP!

I am late posting this review. We were there for a special pre-opening event, it was off the chart fantastic. First, love love the decode. Second, food was off the charts. The gnocchi was the best I ve ever had. The pasta was phenomenal! I can t wait to go back! 10/10

The food was really great and decor was cute. Servers were frienddly and we really enjoyed our cocktails. Halloumi fries and churro crullers were really good. The only thing I would note negatively was the music was very loud and all top 40, would prefer a slightly more unique, atmospheric playlist at a lower volume so it s easier to hear members of your party!

I was just walking by and peeked in the window when Bodega Rose was closed. The staff was meeting inside and they invited me and my kids inside up look around and gave them free cookies. It was so unexpected and kind, it really made our day. Cant wait to come back for a meal, the place looks incredible!

It was AH-MAZING!!! Everything was fantastic! From the atmosphere to the service to the food!!!! Myself and 3 other friends went and each orderd two dishes; all which were to die for!! Highly recommended! Ill definitely be back!

Our first visit here for a morning coffee was wonderful. The interiors and atmosphere of the cafe were lovely and decorated with high-end finishes. The counter service was friendly and helpful and the drinks we had ordered were delicious. I ordered the flat white which was not bitter or sour, but made with perfectly roasted espresso and the right amount of foam. The london fog was good as well but could use a bit more flavour after the first few sips. We would definitely return here as the atmosphere mames it all worthwhile. I would like to try it for cocktails at some point in the future.

Cute place to meet up with friends. Loved that there was a DJ. Cocktails were good. Food was ok. No vegan options other then sides. Would return for cocktails and music but not for the food.

Mixed review. Interesting menu, friendly staff but an order mixup spoiled the meal. Clearly ordered the entree short rib dinner but was served the appetizer version. When we asked about the missing spinach potato the kitchen was blamed for missing the order?? The potato came after we finished our main so we packed it up. We were charged the appetizer price so I think the error was the servers. Scallops appetizer was good and my rib eye steak was good although a little thin. Side mushrooms were very good. They were out of both Cabernet Sauvignon wines on the menu at 630 pm?? Very loud restaurant too, so doubt we will be back. Looks like they will be addkng a patio so might try that.

I really enjoyed my experience at Bodega Rose! Beautiful/trendy vibe, great service and the food was so delicious- the mushroom gnocchi is to die for I also loved the White Lotus cocktail! The only downside could be is it gets quite loud, so probably not the best spot for a romantic date night, but the perfect spot for a girls night! Will definitely be back!

After trying a tasty soup entry in the Comfort Food Crawl, we were excited to visit Bodega Rose. The spicy pineapple margarita was underwhelming - no heat save for a sad piece of jalapeno hung on the rim of the glass and the pineapple didnt really come through. The menu is great and we thought the wagyu, cucumber-tomato-tzatziki salad and honey-lavender carrots stood out. With 6 sharable plates ordered we would have preferred if they came to the table staggered, but altogether they ended up cooling off quickly. It was a busy evening, but our server didnt check in, which included both of us eating our meal with empty glasses. When we did get a second drink order in, I asked about craft beer (listed on the menu $10.50), and our server shook her head that none was available and said Were a cocktail and wine place - which left me confused. Prior to a DJ setting up, the music seemed to be a 5-6 song playlist on loop. I feel like there are alot of good things going on at BR, but the execution could use some work.

Now, this is a place that Waterloo needed for so long! The atmosphere is cute, classy, and comfortable, and the menu has a variety of creative and actually exciting cocktails, desserts, and side dishes. The staff are friendly and attentive and there is no loud music to make you have to yell to talk to your friends. Reservations are recommended. In our experience, although we were in the mood for something to drink, when we saw the dessert options we changed our minds and decided to have tea and cheesecake instead. The tea brought to us was chamomile tea and tasted great. The creamy, fluffy cheesecake seemed like an upgraded version of Baklava cheesecake with a slice of baked cheesecake that was wrapped with thinner phyllo pastry, less overpowering layer of crushed nuts, and a subtle honey-like glaze (if Im not wrong), and was served with a lemon-berry sauce that complemented its taste absolutely well. 10/10, highly recommended!!

Beautiful restaurant, incredible food, and amazing service. It s clear that Wayne and the team at Bodega Rose take a lot of pride in ensuring that their guests have a great experience from the time they walk in to when they head out. From drinks, to entrees and desserts, everything we ordered was phenomenal. Will definitely be making this a frequent restaurant choice for future nights out.

Went for cocktails on a Friday night while a DJ was playing a set (unreal grooves, cant remember his name sadly!). Atmosphere and quality of drinks was great. Nina took AMAZING care of us (#ally) and would definitely come back just to chat with her. If you see her, tip her generously and spill some life secrets. So stoked that such a great spot is now at the Erb and Regina corner. Much love!

Saturday night dinner and had the Grilled Beet Salad, Korean Fried Chicken, Tempura Rock Shrimp and Mushroom Gnocchi. The food was in great portions, and the eclectic ordering made for an adventure. The shrimp was cooked tender and creamy, just excellent. Gnocchi was rich, and Korean Chicken punched with flavour. Each of us had the Pomegranate Pomosa which was fresh, fizzy and came with a healthy buzz. Desert was the churro crueller which we took to go, but actually didn t make it off the table. Unreal. Can t wait to return, hoping for a patio soon!

Brunch was delicious and cooked to perfection; staff was friendly and welcoming; and vibe was Instagram-worthy! We ordered the Pepperonatta Skillet and Braised Beef Benedict. The potatoes and eggs in the skillet were nice and crispy. The BBQ Chipotle sauce in the Benedict was a surprising addition that went very well with the perfectly poached eggs. Overall 10/10 dining experience! This place is a true hidden gem and I highly recommend checking out their brunch menu!

I highly recommend this restaurant. I am an interior designer and could not have done a better job myself, the interior is stunning. It offers a beautiful ambiance to enjoy their absolutely incredible food and drinks. Nothing you order off the menu will disappoint, everything is just so good!

Interesting new restaurant with high quality food, excellent service and one or two rough edges. The order started with warm freshly made bread with a garlic butter. It was divine and I gladly ignored my doctors orders to lower my carb intake to eat it all. I ordered the bone in rib-eye steak and the meat was so tender and perfectly charred. On the down side it was a bit aggressively seasoned and I really dont understand serving it bone it but then pre cutting the steak into strips and the microgreens on top were completely unnecessary. That said I devoured it all quite happily. Interestingly, the sides here are all separate from the mains which would be great if I was here sharing with others and we could all try each others orders but alas I was eating alone as usual. I ordered the cauliflower and brussel sprouts with citrus vinaigrette which were the highlight for me. The veggies were cooked perfectly and the citrus brought wonderful brightness. The big miss for me was the chocolate banana parfait. It came topped with a whole handful of banana chips that totally overwhelmed the rest of the dish to me. A few of them smashed up would have been perfect texture, but so many meant i couldnt taste much of anything else. I also found the cookie base to lend a sandy grit to the dish that made was is usually a wonderfully soft dessert unpleasant to eat. I ended up not finishing it. I am told it is one of their most popular dishes and the one diners rave about but i was just not for me. What I appreciate was that when the wait staff realized I wasnt loving it they immediately asked if they could get me something different, and when I didnt have time to stay for another try they instead comped it. I would never ask for this, but appreciate it when it is offered. I rarely comment on decor as I will (and have) gladly eat in a shack if the food is good...but the design choices at Bodega Rose had me scratching my head. There was a lot of play on dusty rose and hunter green that had me flashing back to the 90s and not in a good way. It didnt effect my food ranking but I was certainly chuckling while waiting for my food. That said no one ever accused me of having cutting edge design tastes! All in all Bodega Rose doesnt make my top rank of restaurants in Waterloo, but it is somewhere I am willing to let develop and try again...preferably with a group of friends so I can best take advantage of its charms.

nice decor and tasty coffee, cured salmon keeps a good balance between softness and crunchiness, the only problem is the hardest sour dough that is hard to cut off. Update: tried this little restaurant for a second time, Id like to say wow nice food lol, my gf got a little bit tipsy after two cocktails, she said its the finest alcohol shes ever tried in Ontario. The only problem for me is the fries was too salty, even basil source cannot save it. Btw, our servers checked us quite often, we were kinda like got random tests during a meal lol, but shes friendly for sure. Definitely recommend ppl to come over to try their dinner menu!

Food was good and the service was attentive but not overbearing. However, they had a DJ playing loud music which caused everyone at tables with 6+ people to yell at each other in order to have a conversation. My date couldn t hear me at all (at a table for 2), so we mostly ate in silence and mimes. Loved the cocktails as well (White lotus is especially divine), but I won t be returning due to the music volume at a sit-down restaurant.

Finally made it out to try this place. It has a hip evening vibe with a dj, louder music scene, and patron chatter - cute interior, friendly staff. The house cocktails and food were just ok....I would say safe flavors, almost bland (missing unique spices, salt balance, and flavors). The food was just not up to the mark for what we expected. We tried 4 house cocktails, 2 sharable, gnocchi, and a side - none of which we would be craving to try again.

Holy smokes. While Im not in K-W often (I live in London), I will be considering this a perennial spot to drop in on whenever Im in the area. A group of colleagues and spent the late-AM and PM working here, and drinking/snacking/eating continuously throughout. *Everything* was awesome. Location was easy to find, decor and ambience is super cute, and Erika was a *fantastic* host for our gang. Attentive, without being overbearing, personable, funny, and honest and informative about suggested menu choices. We ate/drank our way across most of the menu: basic coffee drinks (Americano), fancy coffee drinks (shaken maple iced espresso), salads (cucumber heirloom tomato), sandwiches (chicken pesto), and alcoholic bevies (Erika makes a *mean* caesar!). Everything arrived at the table quickly, and was eagerly consumed as quickly. Id not go as far to call this place cheap, but its not unduly expensive. That is, given the quality and freshness of the ingredients, and the degree of execution in the kitchen and behind the bar, you get very good bang for your buck. Jealous this isnt in London, but our loss is K-Ws gain, because this place is a GEM!

Best restaurant in the city.

We came during their brunch hours (before 3pm) on the weekend and really enjoyed our meal and drinks. I tried the mimosa with grapefruit juice, steak and eggs and the Persian cafe latte (Delicious! Still dreaming about it). My friend got the eggs Benedict, flat white, and the cookie (really good value for the price!). Our server and the Kitchen staff were great! They even gave my friend a free cookie to take home to her husband. Definitely will be back to try their dinner menu.

Just a instagrammable spot. Good vibes but food was okay and service can be slow. Most food we tried were mediocre especially when I had high expectations given the good reviews from others. The apps we got (scallops, Brussel sprouts, short ribs) were decent, but the mains were disappointing and quite bland (flank steak, ribeye, salmon) which ended our night on a somewhat meh note. Drinks were nice tho!

Food and cocktails were amazing! Staff are so nice and helpful but it is super loud for a sitting restaurant. Having DJ is ok but being this loud is truly annoying.we kept shouting at waitresses and our selves and had to leave right after the meal because of the noise.

Checked out Bodega Rose in Waterloo yesterday for a birthday dinner. WOW. We tried many apps, including the bacon wrapped scallops, bang shrimp, Korean BBQ chicken, tuna tartar, rosemary veggies, peperonata, and truffle fries. Let me tell you, each and every one of them were delicious. The attention to detail in terms of combination of ingredients, plating, and balance were incredible. I didnt get pics of everything, but you can also see the serving sizes are generous and easy to share with multiple people. Onto the mains - our group of 4 shared the aforementioned apps, so for mains, my husband got the steak (done blue to perfection, including a 20 minute rest) and another friend got the mushroom gnocchi with braised ribs, which he said was to die for. I ordered the crab mac and cheese side and our 4th ordered the caesar salad. Mac and cheese had generous portions of crab and the caesar salad came topped with fresh parm. Dessert - do yourself a favour and try their banana dessert. Cant remember what its called but it was layers of cookie, chocolate and banana puddings, and dried bananas. We are making plans to go back just to have this dessert again. Additional the churros and phyllo wrapped cheesecake were tight AF. Atmosphere - this is a fabulous place to celebrate an important event. The decor is gorgeous, and even the smallest details have been thought about, such as their logo stamped on their napkins and the beautiful rose displays on the walls and ceilings. The seats are incredibly comfortable, lighting is great, airflow is great, its super clean (including the gorgeous renovated bathrooms) and even though it was really busy while we were there, you have enough space to not hear other diners. Finally, the service was top-notch. We could see the bartender from our spot mixing complex drinks all night and our server was so diligent and friendly. The chef came to our table to discuss some of the dishes with us as well. Long story short, do yourself a favour, and go to Bodega Rose.

So my husband and I went to Bodega Rose yesterday for dinner, and it was incredible. We dont often leave reviews but we had to.. We both have been a part of the restaurant/hospitality world, and this restaurant did not disappoint. The service from Nina( our server) was incredible!!! The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was perfect. We are so happy there is a place uptown waterloo that has finer dining with a stellar vibe !

If I could leave a zero rating, I would. We had a reservation, we sat down and were seated for 25 minutes- not a single person came over to even pour us water, say hello, nothing. A small group of servers was standing around the bar, chatting with the bartenders- totally seeming to have forgotten we were seated. When we got up to leave, we told the crowd that was standing around the bar that we were leaving as we have been ignored for 25 minutes. They all stared and said nothing. I will never be back, and I wouldn t recommend going if you ve never been! My husband and I were left with no reservations anywhere on a Saturday night. Luckily, we got into Babylon Sisters, where the food and service were incredible.

Had brunch here this weekend and wow, is this place ever pretty! The finishes they ve added really elevate the experience. The atmosphere is top notch and the service was awesome. The food was good, but not amazing for me. We got the braised beef egg Benedict and the Shakshouka. I also got the Moroccan macchiato (iced) to drink. The standout of the meal was actually the homemade hot sauce that they brought a really nice and delicious touch. The Benedict has good portions. The crispy potatoes were very good, especially with the hot sauce but the miss for me was the hollandaise. There was a lot of it and it was pretty gelatinous. I ended up scraping it off. The shakshouka was flavoured well! My suggestions for this dish are that they should butter their bread and give it a bit more sauce because it was drier than I think it should have been. But I would give this dish another shot to see if it was a fluke. Coffee was very sweet for my taste. Anyway, I want to come back gain and try other menu items, but I ll probably wait a while so they can find their footing. I really want this place to do well: seems like a great addition to Uptown!

Trendy restaurant with a menu filled with many options. We ordered almost all the vegetarian and pescaterian appetizers on the menu and they were all delicious. Spicy shrimp and haloumi fries were my favourite. The restaurant itself is very pretty but I did find it to be a little too loud. I think it would be great for a fun evening out.

Highly recommend coming here. The bread we got at the start of the meal was fire. Cocktails also super yummy. My friend and I got 6 shared plates and that was a bit too much food for two people but zero regrets. Everything was delicious. And we still managed to leave room for dessert. I dont really have any complaints, I would dine here again.

Great ambience, service and food! We sat on the patio for early dinner as I wanted to soak in the sun... Street is noisy though for those it might bug. The seafood tower impressed but could have done without the mussels. Tuna ceviche was amazing. Dessert also doesnt disappoint... If you can only choose one though do the cheesecake!

Went for a brunch on a Sunday morning, it was not crowded, the food and service were amazing!

Went with a friend. Prices are okay for what you get, drinks are good but a bit over priced. Service was good, the server was very friendly and quick. Gets really loud though inside even without music playing making it difficult to speak to someone across from you. DJ came a little later making it even more difficult, but at least they had really good mixes.

Ordered two ice creams from a lil window belonging to the same restaurant. Pistachio and flavor of the day wolf paws , which is vanilla ice cream with brownie bits and fudge swirls in there, and both were in waffle cones each. Came to about 11$. Ice cream was so smooth and very good quantity. The staff there were very polite and explained in detail about the flavor of the day.

Went here on a Saturday night. At 8pm a DJ set up and started playing music. If you re going here, do not expect a bistro style cocktail bar, it s far too loud to to talk. We were yelling the whole time. Cocktails were fine, nothing special and a little overpriced. For the food, it was mediocre. I m pretty sure the food we got was not made to order; all of the food came out 5 minutes after ordering. The hot foods weren t hot when they came out, they were barely above room temperature. The foods taste was fine, but overall I wouldn t recommend this place. For the price you re paying, the ambiance and vibe does not hold up and the food quality was not great. Will not be going back here.

Kamden was our server and he was phenomenal. We found this place on TikTok and decided to try it out for our anniversary. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm and elegant, the service was quick and friendly. We re glad we decided to stop in, we will definitely be back.

My husband and I both got the flank steak. Though no sides were indicated on the menu we were quite surprised to find that the dish was just the steak, considering that the meal cost $68. Flank isnt an expensive cut of meat either. Though it was tasty, it wasnt worth the price considering adding a side would have been >$14.

I went with a big group for my birthday, the server never acknowledged my birthday was so rude and slow. The restaurant wasnt busy. My whole group are servers and were shocked by how bad and rude the server was.

The food was quite delicious, though it could have been brought out sooner. Our server was so nice but the service overall was not good! The timing of everything was terrible and we were constantly left waiting for a long time - no water refills at all. The atmosphere was pretty but really loud and really hot. We weren t overall impressed.

The food was overshadowed by terrible service. Unfortunately, you ll be left disappointed. It took more than 45 minutes to get the first round of drinks, and we had people only drinking water that seemed impossible to fill. It was evident in the section we were in, that our server wasn t helpful which really contradicts the prices being charged for food and drinks. We would have spent so much more money on drinks but never seemed to be able to order them for the 3 hours we were there. It would have been faster for me to pick the drinks and food up at the counter.
