I was disappointed with the Chicken Parmigian that I ordered. It was a Chicken breast topped with cheese. It was not prepared like most restaurants. They should not call it Chicken Parmigian. Just chicken top with a slab of cheddar cheese and spaghetti.

We came here after shopping at St Jacobs Market. We all enjoyed our meal. We had the Chicken Soulvaki Platter, which was enough for 2 people. My children had spaghetti and cheesburger combo. Food was fresh and delicious. Huge portions. Definitely recommend

Was THE PLACE to go but new ownership is slowly failing to keep quality and values up

Food was either over salted or had no taste at all. The vegies were way under cooked.the gravy lacked any flavour and the schnitzel had no taste. My husband had the harmony burger and it was more than smothered with onions and the tomatoes were not even ripe . Our server never checked in with us once and never refilled our water glasses I heard such good things about this restaurant but I doubt that I would ever come back.

Great food; excellent, friendly and attentive service. Food was a little salty for my taste. They close early on weeknights so keep that in mind if planning a leisurely meal with friends or family.

Jacks is like returning home ! The food consistently tastes like home cooked goodness, and the service is friendly. Ive tried the chicken tenders (my fave), and the shrimp platter, and both are delicious. The prices reflect the quality of food. I continue to visit again and again!

Food was tastless but had great portions. Still not worth the price. Restaurant was big, busy, loud and dark with dated decor so not comfy, pleasant or relaxing breakfast.

The service was great. the food was excellent and reasonably priced . Portions are generous, and the restaurant is very clean ( surprisingly because its so busy ) all around, its a great family restaurant. We ate there several times during our 2 day visit.

As voted number one in the region Jacks never disappoints. Weather at the location the food the hospitality its always a great visit and well worth the wait if theres a line.

Always a good meal, often we are quickly seated and the wait staff have always been great. For the large portions Jacks is good value for the money spent.

We went on market day, Thursday. I had the Caesar salad with chicken, mom had one of the specials on gluten free bread, sister had the southern chicken sandwich, and nephew had the kids chicken tenders. The Caesar salad was good, with a more vinaigrette type dressing than creamy. My moms sandwich was tiny, likely because the gluten free bread was about half the size of a normal piece of bread. The southern chicken sandwich was good but nothing special, and the fries were nice and crispy. The kids chicken tenders were homemade, delicious, and a large portion. It was very busy, which we expected for 12:30 on market day, so we can understand the 10+ minute wait for drinks. Food came out fairly quickly despite how busy it was, probably 25 minutes. The waters came in tiny, kid-sized cups. I can only imagine how frustrating it is for servers to have to frequently refill these waters on busy days. The service was acceptable, and checked all of the boxes for things that needed to be done like drink refills and quality checks, but our server was not outgoing and friendly by any means. I would probably come back, but maybe not on a busy market day.

Family Setting. Very friendly staff. My son has ASD, he ask a lot of questions but the staff answered all his questions nicely. Kids below 10 are free after 4pm Tuesdays! Big portion servings. Happy with our dinner as Family with small kids. Will come again and again!

Good service but out meal was so-so. One person had liver, but it was not as good as past times that we have been there. One of us had a taco salad, but there was no taco bowl with it???

We were traveling from Spain on a route through Canada and we ate wonderfully. The waitress who served us was very friendly. The burgers we ordered were memorable.

It was an absolute joy to eat here. The staff was very attentive and when we ordered our food, it came out surprisingly quick, like around 5 minutes. It was a fairly large serving size and tasted so good.

I have left a review before but I don t see it in my list so here s another one Jacks is still one of our favourite restaurants ever! It s always delicious, fast service, and good atmosphere. The julienne salad is my go to with the chicken tenders and honey mustard sauce! Yummmy! The ribs are delicious too anything you order is great. And huge portions for a great price. We love Jacks!

July 26-2024- I am from Montreal and grew up in this region. Went out for lunch with my Mother and good friend Marlene. Had a great meal and was thoroughly surprised that the Harmony burger was on the menu. Definitely tried it again and brought back wonderful memories. Service was great and would definitely go back again for the food as menu is great.

Service is friendly, food is great, and portion sizes are good. My favorite dish is the Philly steak sandwich. This place has become our go-to spot for these reasons.

Great place to eat while visiting St. Jacobs. The servings are massive, the quality high and the service was extraordinary.

Food was great. Not so good experience with the service. We were paying and the person serving us peeked at the machine just after I typed the tip amount and immediately said oh my god! and looked pissed. But the tip amount was 14% of the bill. Maybe I should have tipped more. First time I have experienced it in any establishment.

My husband, myself and a friend enjoyed a lovely dinner Friday evening. The service was great. What I noticed was the busboy named Jacob tending to take care of customers in a pleasant, friendly and orderly fashion. All members of the restaurant staff are important. Thank you Jacob. We used their food for a meeting we were having at the hotel across the parking lot and had a sit down meal there. The staff was great and went above and beyond. There were no complaints about the food from anybody and there were no leftovers! If I could give 6 stars, I would.

Look the portion is big. But the food has no taste. The prices are inexpensive for the portion size. But that s it. Read the reviews went and tried sorry to say I won t be back. The service is great but the reason you go to a restaurant is for the food.

Big menu, lots of options and everything is homemade. The salad dressings are amazing, especially the Caesar. The fish and chips are absolutely humongous and the coleslaw is so good. You cant go wrong with any choice off the menu. I highly recommend going for breakfast and trying a skillet.

This place has excellent food, service and a very friendly environment. I have had breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and not one complaint about anything I have ever eaten there over the past few years. Highly recommended to anyone who has yet to eat there.

They refuse to comply with your ability to take your leftover wine with you as it is legal so apparently you have to bring your own cork they dont have any or any ability to do what is expected from any restaurant establishment

Busy place most of the time. I tried dinner for the first time. Liver and onions. Frozen Walmart broccoli and a few carrots. Came with a thimble of cheap gravy. Asked the server for another thimble of cheap gravy. She charged me a dollar extra without telling me. I dont subscribe to places that nickel and dime you. Wont be back. Rip off.

Phenomenal food, extremely attentive staff, massive portion sizes. Extremely impressed with the level of attention and speed of service in a fully packed restaurant! 10/10 will eat here again and will happily wait outside for a table to be available, it s soooo worth it!

Item wasn t taken off the bill despite it having an off taste. Waitress was friendly but was rude when asked about it. Not sure why it s relevant for the waitress to ask if I ve ever worked in a restaurant, just because normally restaurants wouldn t charge you for a dish that tastes off + charge you for the replacement .

It was an okay experience, I got a Greek wrap and salad on the side, service was pretty on par but I didnt like the atmosphere.

Our waitress when arriving was fantastic! Can t remember her name but super bubbly and friendly. Food wasn t bad but wasn t anything crazy either price was good I think your definitely getting your value for what you pay. Overall will most likely be back in the future

Somethings in life never change. Jacks is one of those places. I have always thought that this is the best place bang for your buck. Prices have gone up, but it has everywhere. Always great temperature and tasty. The staff is the best bunch of people I have seen in a restaurant. They are all hard-working, friendly & courteous. My waitress Michelle new exactly when to ask for a refill of my coffee. She asked my how my food was tasting. She handed my bill, but gave me time to finish my meal and my coffee. No rush. I was a party of one and I was sitting at the bar. I was coughing. He gave me a glass of water without losing stride of what he was doing. There was a young lady wiping down the counter next to me. I asked her how she was doing? She said she was tired with working and studying for exams. She was engaging, sincere, professional & hard-working. A real sweetheart and genuinely a nice person. This is the experience that everyone will get when they come to Jacks.

It has been a staple for great food at reasonable prices since I started going to the original on King Street Kitchener around 30 years ago. The newer location across from the farmer s market in Waterloo is excellent and more modern. Always busy.

We were looking for a place within a reasonable distance from the market, this did the trick. Food was great, my guest and I enjoyed everything we got. Staff was nice and was attentative despite the resturaunt being packed. We will return

Amazing restaurant! Could not believe the size and quality of food. Their souvlaki was excellent, easily two can share it. Definitely recommended. One thing is, no reservations available, busy on weekends. Surrounded by 5 hotels so line ups tend to be long specially at dinner time.

Large portions and the service was very good. Didn t even have to ask for a refill on my Pepsi and another one was there ready to go. I recommend the Crunchy Spice Chicken Wrap. It is definitely a family restaurant- not a fine dining place, nor are they trying to be. Make sure you get there early because it gets busy as evidenced by the amount of seating in the waiting area.

Good atmosphere, good average quality, big portion made of cheap ingredients. Nothing special. Service is always good there, but this time sucked big time. While I was coming back from the washrooms I heard our waitress talking trash about my family. So never ever again there.

Good food, however the bread on the sandwiches is often soggy due to it not being toasted and seemingly storebought. The sandwiches also could be better seasoned/more sauce. The service is great and overall I enjoyed my time there.

Food was great with really big portions. I stretched mine to 3 meals. Waitress was super sweet. Was a massive line to get in, waited I believe 40 minutes. Obviously the restaurant was very loud. Trying again at a slower time
