Koh-i-noor is my favorite Indian cuisine restaurant in waterloo. Many Indian restaurants I have tried use too much oil in their dishes, koh-i-noor does not. The food is always hot and fresh. I am a frequent enjoyer of their chicken karahi with garlic naan. Absolutely delightful food and amazing customer service. My order is always prepared in a timely manner and the staff are super friendly! If I could Give more than 5 stars I would. If you like Indian food koh-i-noor is a must in waterloo!

the people here are just the best. I have been a few times and am always shocked the place isnt full. the food is fantastic, the prices are good and the service is also wonderful. when walking in one of the kitchen staff was outside so he held the door for us, then when we were ordering they were so willing to adjust the spiciness if we wanted however it is not necessary, the dishes come balanced, personally I think they could go hotter but if you dont like too much spice the way they come is perfect. the garlic naan is probably some of the best Ive had and the rest of the food is great. The Mulligatawny soup is delicious, the Thali platters are an excellent taste and value, and the mango lassi are so lovely and sweet. The spiced tea is also not to be missed!

Great price, three things that anyone want from a restaurant and I must say they were perfect in all three of them. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FOR SPICY LOVERS.

Both the chicken breast and lamb were lean, boneless, very tender, and full of flavour. Naan excellent, fresh, not too greasy, not burned, not undercooked. Nice fresh salad, good size. Rice with cardamom cumin was also done just right. A touch better than other Indian restaurants and Ive tried nearly all around the region. Service outstanding. The cook even came to ask if the spice was to our liking, offered to exchange if too much for the lady who requested mild. What a nice gentleman! Very calm atmosphere / spacious comfort and plenty to eat for reasonable price too.

Mr. Rishi is a great cook. Always greets me and says hello whenever I come in. I am a frequent visitor and I highly recommend this restaurant. All staff are polite

Ordered take out and brought my 2 year old daughter to pick it up with me. Super friendly staff, she was peeking into the kitchen and they all waved, and offered her a little container of dessert. Excellent food and the rice is delicious, will definitely be going again soon

We ordered 1 chicken roganjosh and 1 veg korma. Curries were amazing. Garlic naans were so soft. Quick and good service. Only one thing this restaurant can work on is on volume per serving. I felt it less.

We went here very close to closing and they happily took our group of 15. Food was amazing. Better than anything I have tasted before! Highly recommend this restaurant.

This is by far the best Hyderabadi Dum Biryani Ive had in KW. After looking for a decent Biryani for months, I tried the Lamb Biryani at Koh-I-Noor and was really impressed with the freshness, the aroma and the authentic taste. It was not too hot for my tastebuds and therefore I enjoyed it very much. Great service on the part of the owner too. Parking: Lots of free parking.

Naan was ok but Karahi Paneer tasted like Paneer soaked in Ketchup. Looks like the cook wanted to get rid of tomatoes and nothing else.

We came in and ordered momos and fish pakoras to test for a catering order. Impressed by the service and atmosphere. We decided to place catering order for next day. Must say very pleased and happy. Such caring staff and love placed in the prep work. All favours were spot on and cooked to perfection. BEST INDIAN RESTAURANT IN WATERLOO REGION.

One of the finest restaurants for Indian food in Waterloo. Goat curry served here is absolutely delicious. The chef himself came on the table to take the feedback and also recommended a few more combinations which I would like to try next time. Our server too helped us to decide and the best options according to what we were looking for. Highly recommend

I am not accustomed to an all 5 star review, however, maybe it was my cold that had made its way to my lungs.. I ordered chicken noodle spicy medium. It really went to my head and cleared me for a bit. I would have appreciated if the noodles were a little bit more saucy, as I found it a bit dry. Overall it hit all the notes and cleared my head with the amazing of it. And I will be definitely going back again. Service is exceptional. Its an interesting atmosphere. Good first date place.

After reading recent reviews for Masala Bay and learning that it s quality is not what it used to be, we were on the hunt for a new go-to spot for Indian food and we found it!!!! The food at Noh-I-Koor was incredible, the service was wonderful, and the value of the meal was great as well. This is a hidden gem in the plaza and I would encourage anyone to give it a try!

The food was delicious! I got butter chicken and my Mom got vindaloo, and we both loved our meals. Mahesh was our server and he was amazing! He was friendly and talkative, and even complimented my Mom lol. Overall, I loved it here, and its my Moms favourite curry restaurant :D

Best Dal Makhni in town

My son attends University in the area, found this place on Google, Had early dinner with my family. The service was excellent, loved the food. I will deffinetly return. My only negative comments would be that the temperature in the restaurant was on the cool side, so found it a little uncomfortable. But over all, loved the place.

The food was okay not so great in taste. I ordered panner sabji, tandoori chicken, rice and dal tadka. Dal tadka did not looked like dal tadka at all it looked like dal makhni. The taste was average of dal tadka and panner sabji gravy had a taste of readymade tomato puree, in short not any of the items i ordered were worth the money i spent.

Very nice and friendly place. We went with colleagues for lunch. We had a dietary restriction and wanted to have Vegetarian food without onion and garlic. We requested at this restaurant in advance for vegetarian food without onion-garlic. They cooked delicious food with appetizer, main course and wonderful desserts. Highly recommended.

Excellent tasting food however measly portions of meat for the goat and lamb. Almost no meat, mostly bones and only 3-4 pieces. Not worth the price compared to Indian restaurants in Toronto, however due to the lack of Indian restaurants in Waterloo this is as good as it gets

Friendly place, really nice selection of Indian food. Went for a work function, and we tried a lot of different dishes, all of which were tasty. Recently took my husband there and he liked it too. Fair prices, generous portions, glad they survived the pandemic. Not fancy, fine dining, but we like it.

Owners are super nice and friendly, the naan might ve been the best naan I ve tasted and service was fast and hospitable. The only thing slightly lacking was the interior lighting, half was yellow and half was white, which was off putting. Nonetheless, amazing place with authentic food I d highly recommend to anyone

I had a 5 star review but I am demoting it to a 2 star. Prices have gone up and curries don t come with rice or naan, the place is always empty and soulless. Paneer makhani was nothing special and they don t put enough green peppers in the Kadhai paneer even though its advertised. At this price, its too much of a premium for the quality. Probably won t order here again.

Just rediscovered this place and it was much better than I remembered! The food was fresh and very tasty. It was the best curry Ive had in a long time.
