Love the place, very cozy ambiance perfect for spending a Christmas dinner with family and friends. The service was good, the food was good too, they had many vegetarian options and we ability to replace meat with veggies in some menu items. Our favorite is the Bettola pasta. The Tiramusu dessert is to die for . Will visit again soon. Kid-friendliness: Yes

I m very disappointed. The cherry tomatoes in the salad were very mushy.ordered the Margarita pizza and it was so bad.the basil that they had put on the top was older than my grandma.pasta was ok. Server was nice. Never going back.cheers Food

Our server Kaitlyn always takes such good care of us. The food is delicious, and the wine is wonderful. I like that they are good at suggesting which wines to have with their seasonal dishes.

Best Italian place in waterloo, huge portions

The food was very good and our server could not do enough for us. The only issue I would say is it was very cold where we sat. If my wife and I back in the winter, we would ask not to sit near a window.

We ordered enough pasta to feed ten people (there was more than enough). It was ready for pickup exactly as requested. Both the carbonara and the tetrazzini were big hits with everyone, even the choosier diners. Elite level pasta! There were lots of volunteers to take leftovers home. Great job Ennios!

Were not from this area, but took a chance on Ennios after reviewing the websites of many good restaurants in the KW area. (We took the day to visit the Farmers Market in Waterloo.) Were glad we chose Ennios in the end. Excellent service and the food was very good (and weve visited dozens of Italian restaurants in the GTA over the past two years). Wed strongly recmmend Ennios to families and to couples on a date night as well.

Amazing food. Ordered shrimp and fish carbonara to share. Chef beutifully divided portion on 2 plates, never seen such a service enywhere else. Had a great moktails.

I rarely respond to surveys, but our experience at Ennios was so superb, that I must comment. This was our first visit to Ennios. There was 5 of us and we all agreed that the food was delicious, the portions were plentiful, and the service was excellent. Our server, Kaitlyn, was always cheerful and efficient. Kaitlyn and her manager paid close attention to the many food sensitivities at our table and ensured that all of our food was appropriate for us.we will be sure to be back at Ennios when we return to Kitchener-Waterloo.

Parking is always an issue here, not sure how you fix that. The waitress must have been distracted, she couldn t keep the orders straight for any course. The food is good, portions are acceptable, price isn t bad for quality food.

Our little wedding reception dinner at Ennios was just wonderful! Eric went out of his way on all details and booked us in the private room making last minute accommodations. Everyone loved their meal and the service was great, despite a very busy time in the restaurant. It seemed to be a very popular place! Sarah was very courteous and attentive to all our guests. I would highly recommend Ennios to anyone! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free choices. Just ask! Parking: Our limo driver had no trouble finding the right place to park without obstructing others. Wheelchair accessibility: Our guest in a walker had no trouble in and out with courteous staff to help.

Pasta was good. Tiramisu came in a tiny jar but the taste was amazing. It would be nice if the waiting time was shorter. Great atmosphere

Chewy steak in Biscetta. Sweet Pazzo was very salty. Espresso Martini was below average. Overcooked mushy risotto, served immediately probably reheated many times before. Only redeeming aspect was the pasta sauce.

I had a very disappointing dining experience. Upon entering the restaurant, I had to wait a long time before anyone even acknowledged me. After deciding what to order, no one was available to take my order. What finally made me leave was when a server clearly saw me ready to order but instead of helping, they slowly cleaned up a nearby table that only had two glasses of water left, and then walked away?? Absolutely no sense of service. I won t be coming back.

We ve been coming to Ennio s since I was in undergrad. It s definitely a gem of Waterloo, the service was great, they always come and refill your water and bread when asked. I love their Bistecca, it s the only pasta I can t get anywhere else, the flavour is amazing. My partner enjoys Nonna s gnocchi a lot, the red sauce is very tasty and it s a great vegetarian option. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options, they can also cater non vegetarian dishes to vegetarian, though the price stays the same. Parking: Lots of spots available behind the restaurant.

Great restaurant in Waterloo. The food is good, although not great (the blush sauce turned out to be a very bland tomato sauce). But the service makes up for it. Our waiter Eric in particular made the whole thing a great, unforgettable experience. For example, he made it possible for our daughter, who really wanted pineapple on her pizza! Highly recommended, especially when Eric is there.

I was there working yesterday morning with carpet and got a free spaghetti I m eating it now it taste amazing

Not impressed. Have been here many times but tonight was pretty sad. Food tasted like it was reheated, waitress was treating us and other tables like we were a bother and we also felt like we were being rushed so the next group could be seated. All around was not a good experience at all. Seriously thinking about not returning. Many other restaurants out there who would be happy to treat a customer properly. Sad because up until tonight we had nothing but good comments about this restaurant

I ordered this as take out, so I am being mindful of this as I review. Food arrived warm - not hot. It was nice to receive a roll not listed in the items for the meal (chicken parm), however no butter or napkins etc. The pasta was cooked a nice el dente and not your normal tomato sauce as it tasted infused with a type of oil so that was nice on noodles. The chicken was not great and where it lost all its stars as the dish is called chicken parm. The crust had multiple burnt spots (maybe from shallow frying) it cause some burnt flavor to extend to noodles it touched. The crust was tough but not crunchy - it also was completely separated from the chicken and so the top layer of the chicken was really rubbery from over cooking. There was very little amounts of sauce on chicken which didnt bode well to assisting the dryness. Overall, I understand some items do not travel well but believe the chicken was reheated and or older.

Went in for dinner, service was friendly, food came out piping hot. Definitely will be back!

Food is outstanding, and service is great for the most part. Sometimes slow, but staff is very nice and can be accommodating. The atmosphere is not that pretty, unsure if it was just the last two times I ve gone but the vibe does not match the price you re paying. The chicken alfredo, bruschetta, and garlic cheesy bread are a fan favourite in my house!

Im actually really bummed to be giving this rating because the staff there were super nice. For the price, the serving sizes are pretty small. Not that we actually need massive portions, portion wise they were closer to a healthy portion than you get elsewhere, but the price doesnt align with it. The pasta is clearly just dry store bought stuff, and its definitely not a premium grade at that. Dense and gritty. Ans they dont quite serve pasta. They serve you soup with some pasta in it. The meals are swimming in what I imagine is jarred sauce. I legit ate mine with a spoon. Serving staff is fantastic though. Super great and that place is sooo lucky to have them. But save your money. You could throw this together at home with about 10 mins of active work.

The food is delicious and the place is very nice but there is a rather long wait for the food and when you come with children or are really hungry it is a problem

This used to be one of our favourite go to places. After several years away due to living out of town we excitedly booked a 730 reservation this evening. We were politely greeted by the hostess upon or arrival and seated. Our server however was nowhere to be seen for almost 10 minutes. When she did finally come to our table we each order a 9oz glass of red. It was almost 8pm by the time these arrived (in dirty wine glasses). When you are paying almost $19 a glass I would expect the glass to at least be clean. Our server then took our order and asked if we would like house bread with our app. This itself took almost 15 minutes to come with our appetizer which we did not have side plates or cutlery for. We did not see our sever until our app was done and our mains arrived. I barely touched my meal and decided to take it home, our server only checked on us once the entire experience. She could tell we were not enjoying our experience based on our short reply of it s ok when we were finally checked on near the end. She was very dismissive and treated the whole encounter like an inconvenience running away from the table off to something else before an exchange of feedback could be given. The service and pace tonight was the worst I have experienced in along time. This was really disheartening for somewhere we were really excited to go. I would have rather saved my $140 and stayed home. Unfortunately I think this place will be off our list of rotation for weekly date nights for the foreseeable future.

My seafood alfredo tasted like it was made with flour and water. Not much cream. I asked for extra seafood and the seafood tastes like it was soaked in salt water the only reason I gave two star is because I did not have a chance to test other menu except the garlic bread which was okay. Our server s name was Brooke - She was polite but acted somewhat lost and weird. First I got a pasta with chicken on the side and the chicken took additional 15 minutes after our pasta came till then my Pasta had gone cold. Second, she did mess up another part of the order and for some reason asked me if I still wanted the chicken on the side?? Which was very obvious that I did, because I didn t say anything about not wanting it. Third, she offered cheese to all the tables around us but not to us and we had to specifically ask for it. Lastly she said that to make up for the waiting time on the chicken, she could offer some bread, WHICH NEVER MADE IT TO THE TABLE ??? Almost felt discriminated against as she was acting a bit cold and her energy was off toward us but to other table it was fine. I was visiting from Toronto and went with a friend here for the first time. Can safely say it was my last and the food was mid

I came here a few times most recently on Valentines Day and also ordered takeout. We really enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant and the free bread. There is a great wine selection as well. The snail appetizer is delicious. The pastas were decent but not exceptional. I got the spagetti and meatballs takeout once and it was too salty. The other pastas I had were alright but not top notch. I did not like the rustica or carbonara. Hit or miss

We have been eating here for years now but unfortunately lately the quality of food is not the same. Not sure what has changed but the food is not nicely cooked anymore. It s disappointing as this used to be one of our favorite restaurants. However the staff is still very warm and welcoming.

The Bistecca is my favorite pasta I have ever tried anywhere. This place is a hidden gem and deserves more service. The bistecca is like the upgraded version of gusto 101 (toronto) famous pasta dish. 10/10

Been wanting to try this place for a while and we finally did and unfortunately, it was a bit of a letdown. I got the Annabella pasta and it was very good and perfectly cooked. However, my husband got the spaghetti with meatballs and it was disappointing. He s Italian so he wanted to get the simplest dish to see how authentic it was. The spaghetti was barely lukewarm and the sauce tasted store bought. The meatballs were the only good part. They were homemade and delicious, however, you pay 19.99 just to get 2 meatballs with the spaghetti. They re larger in size, but for that price, they could put at least 4 meatballs. Needless to say, it is not authentic Italian. On top of that, the service was very slow and they were not busy.

We just had a wonderful dinner experience here! It was my Mom s 85th birthday and we both have mobility issues and the restaurant was wonderfully accessible! The food was fabulous but it was our sever Akshay who made it amazing! He brought my Mom a treat after dinner and made her feel so special! Highly recommend! Wheelchair accessibility: The ramp from the parking lot made it easy to get to the doors!

Food was okay, but the service wasnt that great. Vegetarian options were not very good.

Food was good, portions were all large, but pricey. Every item even apps felt a bit too big and came with a price tag, if everything was smaller and cheaper I would have enjoyed my food a fair bit more. The service was relatively spotty and waters that were offered never came. It really is the atmosphere that brings this place down. It felt awkward to be there and didnt make me want to stay for desert and coffee.

We arrived right as the restaurant opened and were seated promptly. I really enjoyed the gnocchi con gamberetti, particularly the lemon flavour. The risotto milanese was also delicious with lots of mushrooms. The portions were enough for lunch with some left over. Unfortunately, there were traces of dried blood on each of our napkins. It wasnt the case in the previous times weve been to Ennios, but it is a sanitary concern.

Wonderful Italian food! The lasagna is great, has just enough crispy toasted cheesy bits on it, really nice sauce, beautifully perfect noodles... Ceasar salad was spot on, warm Ciabatta buns were delicious. Wonderful restaurant , if youre in the mood for Italian, and you are anywhere near Ennios Pasta House, be sure to get some eats there!!

It s always a treat coming here! The first time I ever tried Ennio s was maybe 2013 and I had bistecca which was and continues to be one of my favourite pastas. I recommend the Pazzo bread, calamari, bistecca and the veal Parmesan!

My family got takeout Saturday Dec 23rd. Every time we get takeout from here it s just as delicious as eating in. The food was ready quickly and the hostess was incredibly nice. Would always be happy to eat here.

The place was freezing. Had to wear my coat. There is no excuse for keeping the heat that low in what is supposed to be fine dining. Chicken in my pasta had an off taste. I didnt eat it. Food

Recently had the pleasure of dining at Ennios Pasta House in Waterloo with my wife and a dear friend, and I cant help but share the wonderful experience we had. Best pasta / pizza place in KW!

First visit. Found them on line. Went for a personal visit. Was totally blown away by the great quality pizza. We hit there at noon so it was busy. That aside, our server was great and very friendly. We will be going back to try a pasta meal next. Like quality thin crust pizza? Try this place. No franchise pizza shop can touch this quality. Its my second visit to Ennios pasta. Its a really good italian place. The menu has a lot of variety. They are flexible with the dietary restrictions. I got the linguini alfredo pasta with added mushrooms. We also ordered Chicken parmesan with Marinara and pasta on a side, the Fruitti de Mare. Overall everything was good. Some of the pastas were a bit dry and the sauce needed to be a bit thicker. Overall experience was good Dietary restrictions: Flexible with dietary restrictions. You can remove or add the toppings you desire

Always an excellent time, great food and service.

Ordered the Rustica pasta for take out. The description says it has grape tomatoes, there were none, I also ordered extra sauce, there was not extra sauce. When I called, the waitress said they use the tomatoes as garnish yet they re in the description of the dish and a part of the dish I look forward to. The sauce was basically Alfredo sauce, had zero flavour. Not to mention they can t even serve it with a slice of garlic bread, just a hard flavourless roll. Won t order again from here.

First time in! Great food and people!

We were in waterloo and looking for a place to eat. Found this gem. They were extremely busy but could seat us at the bar if that was ok. As soon as a table opened we were offered it. Service was excellent had multiple people checking on us. Food was phenomenal. With appetizers, main course and drinks was equivalent to any chain restaurants price but it was a much higher quality experience than a chain. Will definitely return and recommend to others.

Dinner on Sun Jan 21, 2024. A sincere review; our group of 12 decided to dine at Ennios (Waterloo) as part of a year end Board of Directors dinner. In short, all of us truly enjoyed the experience. Our Server Sara, was amazing with her energy and joyful smile, as well as the other team member that stepped in with the pepper mill. The food, appetizers and mains were hot, hearty and enjoyed, as were the beverages. Timing was nice as our orders were served with very little time from the first to the last of 12 people; and this is very much appreciated. Overall, we wish to say that the little things make a difference and we thank the staff for looking after our group with the care given.

Atmosphere is nice. Garlic bread is 10/10. But other food items are not the best in town. The server was so much in hurry, she came up with the bill even when we re eating and just gave us the takeout containers. Also, the takeout container they use is that 6x9 compostable sugarcane box for pasta which gets totally soaked in with the pasta sauce before even you leave the restaurant. Cost cutting on peak.

The chefs are really good there, Luv cooked pasta really delicious.

The food was not that good compared to the reviews i see, it may be because we ordered cream based pasta? It became too salty and oily very quickly. But it was a very good portion and the service was good. I would recommend trying the tomato sauce based or cream/cheese based if you are really into that.

We ordered Cappelletti and linguini Alfredo. I expected them to be way better. The service was and atmosphere were good though.

Food was amazing and very authentic.

Good food, as always, but incredibly slow service. Our server seemed to take a very long time taking our order (and others orders in the restaurant), rarely checked in, forgot pieces and was not overly friendly about any of it. We have always done takeout but thought wed dine-in this time..and likely wont again. Kid-friendliness: Unfortunately, didnt feel super kid friendly. If going with kids, take your own colouring pages or things to keep them entertained while you wait too long for food!

Pasta is always top notch and yummy. Great for family meals or date night.

Fabulous pizza

This is my favourite Italian restaurant.. too bad I am an hour away, otherwise I would be there weekly.. went there the other night, sparse crowd since it was a Monday food, portions, price and service are excellent a jewel of Waterloo region

They need to open earlier on Sunday. Noon would be great. We went a couple of weeks ago, and were disappointed it was closed, so we ended up at Wildcraft.

Overall it was a GREAT experience. We came here for the first time and wouldn t regret it. Customer service was exceptional, food was fresh, tasty and in good portion. I can t think of anything to comment as it was really worth our time and money. Would definitely be going there again and I would recommend this place 100% to everyone. Perfect Italian cuisine! Vegetarian options: They do have dedicated vegetarian menu, kind of removing chicken from the meat menu and ensuring no other meat/eggs are part of it. Dietary restrictions: They would accommodate it. Parking: Tons of parking available. Kid-friendliness: No they don t have kids menu but they would be happy to arrange it for you. Pizza and pasta is something Kids would love anyday. Wheelchair accessibility: Not that I m aware of, neither the washroom has wheelchair accessibility.

My first visit to this restaurant was highly anticipated, as it came recommended by friends. However, Hailey our server(hope its a correct name), exhibited a noticeable lack of courtesy and professionalism. Her attitude throughout the meal was dismissive, and it felt as if we were an inconvenience to her.

We went here because we heard Ennios Waterloo was better than the Kitchener location. We did not enjoy either locations food. We went to Waterloo Monday of the long weekend. The drinks were great as was the escargot. The pasta and sauces were not great. I ordered from the specials menu the mushroom ravioli. My daughter and her boyfriend ordered the cappelletti and my husband the chicken parm. The chicken parm was good. A little dry. The pastas all were not great. We each took a few bites and brought the rest home. Her boyfriend ate his but agreed the sauce was tinny. We tried here instead of driving to La Cucina in Guelph. Next time we will just make the drive as for the little difference in price La Cucina is better. I was really hopeful as Ennios is very close.

Food took forever! Waitress was very kurt, unfriendly and was upset we complained we waited 45 minutes for our pasta. Had to ask SEVERAL different servers for water. When our pasta came, it was drowning in a thin sauce. We have been to Enios several times in the past and this experience has got to be the worse. Will not come here again.

Went out for dinner with my wife and son tonight and have to say the service was auful, waited nearly 50 minutes for entrees, the 2nd thing that was lacked tonight was that I asked my server for water and she never even brought me my water and decided to bring the bill to another table and then even started taking food orders at another table. So I decided to get up and ask the bar server for water and then she ends up saying to me your not supposed to come up here your supposed to ask your sever and gave complete attitude, she was wearing a face mask and was extremely rude!!! Will not be bringing my service here again. Terrible terrible customer service

Ennios is the OG of itailain restaurants in Kitchener-Waterloo. Food is always yummy and there are plenty of vegetarian options to choose from. Service was a bit slow but it was also peak.

I do enjoy this restaurant, however I ordered catering for a family function and they misplaced my order. When I arrived to pick it up nothing was prepared. I was so disappointed and would not recommend their catering service.

It s a very long time since I been to Ennio s. The restaurant is dated but what is more disappointing is the food. We had a lasagna that felt like was at least 3 days old. Another dish we ordered was the squash ravioli which was oily and mushy All the dishes here seem to be from the day before.

Ennio s Pasta House in Waterloo was our choice of restaurant to celebrate a recent graduation. The service was great and the food was outstanding. Everyone in the group thoroughly enjoyed their appetizers and main courses. The pasta is always cooked just right.

Absolutely delicious food (I recommend the carbonara and seasonal appetizer), great service, complementary bread, and good portions. Nothing bad to say. Highly recommend!

Amazing staff, great pricing and the food is full flavoured

Italian eatery with great food and a good vibe. Pasta dishes are excellent and they have a nice patio in the summer.

Ordered from here based on the great reviews. But the food was not very good. The Tiramisu was frozen, still had icy centre. Tasted of nothing. Meatballs were tough.

Had a group of 12 at Ennios for dinner. Service was great, food was delicious. We all enjoyed it.

We were together as a family...it was a great time...Ennios was quite busy but our waitress Brook was excellent , friendly and professional ...the food was piping hot on arrival...the portions were sizable...I thought the prices were reasonable...I would recommend Ennios to anyone in the Kitchener-Waterloo area

A must try for every student in the KW region!

Not my cup of tea...I asked if the mussels were fresh and the servers face told me the truth! I actually didnt care for the food, but that is just me, the rest of the group enjoyed the food and the atmosphere is quite nice.

Great food & service

The food and service were great! It didnt look like much from the outside, but its lovely inside. I got the risotto and couldnt finish, so I had it for lunch the next day as well. It was fantastic both times!

Excellent food! We called for vegetarian Pasta and they were amazing. Quick service, knowledgable staff and was good.

We had a wonderful meal. The Bruschetta bread was delicious. The squash ravioli and the chicken parmesan were cooked to perfection. Friendly, attentive service by the wait staff and manager ensures a terrific evening. Reservations are recommended.
