Amazingly nice people, definitely my go-to place for pizza its incredible and classic and fairly priced! Only thing that would make me love it even more is some fresh basil! The atmosphere and hot temperature of the store is also an incredible vibe... Great place to stop for 10 mins for a couple slices of pizza or to have dinner there, Im yet to try their other menu options but definitely a good dinner idea!

Owner is the worst guy yelling at customer, sitting inside drinking and behaves very bad with the customer. This kind of behaviour is intolerable altho the chef was quite polite. Worst experience, losing their customer in the same hand.

Today I meet very odd experience. A person who sit in this store told me directly we are not hiring, we just go there to enjoy the vibe but he mistaken us and also after that when we are ordering he just shouted by sitting on the table with his friend that It is just for take-out. Very bad human-nature this is.

Quattro Formaggio pizza was bad. You can get a better one at a fast food place. Not gourmet at all. Considering you asked for 4 different cheeses on it, the layer was paper thin. I think i am done with this place. Papa Johns!

Pizza was 6/10. Nothing special about it, just pizza. Chicken club looked like it was gonna be 5/10, surprised me with all the decent ingredients so Id give it an 8/10! Staff super friendly, lovely folks. :)

The arugula bocconcini pizza is one of the best pizzas you can get in the Waterloo area! The ingredients are fresh and the sauce is good! And the staff have always been friendly.

Enjoy your pizza while the rest of the mall employees inhale gas fumes from the pizza oven which is not being run properly which are life threatening.

A great place to go for a salad and pizza. My parents and I came here for dinner. We ordered a Caesar salad and a large arugula prosciutto to split between us. We thought we d have leftovers but finished everything off! The crust is light and delicious. We will definitely be back!

My husband was just at your store and asked for a slice. The owners left the pizza in the oven far too long and it was overcooked. He asked both the owner and a younger worker if the pizza is always this overcooked with the edges all burnt and the owner said yes it s fine and the younger worker straight up ignored him. Finally the owner agreed to giving him another slice and that slice that was cold. Don t be so cheap and show paying customers a bit more respect.

Me and my friend ate here and the food was burnt and the service wasn t very good. the owner was ageist and disrespectful.

I do not recommend the gluten free crust- its like cardboard; and a bit pricey. There are other better options in the city. Toppings were fine and lots of selection.

NOT gourmet. When a place pizza is worse then a junk food pizza place, its bad. Pizza is overcooked and has almost no cheese even with added cheese toppings. I liked their appetizers more but its a pizza place and I dont think Ill come back for pizza Food

This has been our new go-to since the spring. It is a little pricier than most places but the quality is worth it in my opinion. I find pizza never tastes the same the next day, but with Gourmet Pizza it does (if you have any left)! Pictured is the Arugula & Bocconcini and Canadian. Order and support this small business, you wont be disappointed! I believe they use their own delivery service as well (major plus for me)

Absolutely delicious my partner and I always make a point of stopping by to share a pizza whenever we find ourselves uptown. It costs more than a campus pizza of course, but I can hands-down say that its worth the price!

They have a special pizza called The Winner. A perfect name for the best menu item we have ordered and enjoyed every time.

Sadly, I wont be buying my pizza here anymore. I have been faithfully ordering pizza from them since they opened their shop. Not sure what has happened but the owner who seems to no longer be there supervising the shop has left it to his daughter to manage. And i noticed that it seems things are good when hes around but not when hes not minding the shop. I called at 7:40 to order a pizza and was told they are no longer taking orders as they close at 8 and they have 5 orders still to make. Wow! I guess theyre ok with telling their longtime customers to go to another pizza place. And I guess I will. I get that they all want to quit work at 8 pm. So they should change their closing time to 7:30. Ive owned restaurants and I would never have turned away a customer even if they walked in 1 minute before our listed closing time. Its just bad business to turn away customers. So.. I went to Score just down the block ... they were happy to take my $50

LOVE GOURMET, one of my favourite family-run small businesses! The food and service are both amazing. Im so glad that theyve been able to continue operating throughout covid and under so much stress and difficult times, definitely recommend supporting this company and the Magic Pesto is my fave anytime i need to treat myself

This is definitely a 5 star Pizza takeout. I read the frivolous and ridiculous 1 star ratings that artificially bring this down to 4.5 overall. Giving one star for poor delivery service is not fair at all. The food and pizza is the best in town by far. Another one star from someone complaining they couldnt eat inside during covid and with outside food...really??? Give this place a try, you wont be disappointed. Just read another 1 star review because they didnt take an order right before close, and she says she was a restaurant owner, yet still gives a horrible review not even based on the quality of food. Might as well give them one star for not rolling out the red carpet for you. Sheesh!

Gourmet Pizza: Invasion of privacy from delivery service. We ordered delivery this evening from Gourmet Pizza downtown Waterloo King Street. We asked for the pizza to be delivered to the back of the house as my wife and I were enjoying the backyard. My wife went inside to grab a glass of water and heard a man shouting hello in our house. When my wife approached the front door the delivery man closed the door, my wife opened the door and he rudely said did you order a pizza with a quick follow up take the pizza . No apology for entering our house unannounced. I called the store and explained the story. They offered us %50 off of our next pizza. I m sorry but not worth the unwelcome guest. We want to support business during this time but needless to say, we will be supporting different local businesses moving forward.

By far the best pizza in the KW area. Light tasty crust and great flavor no matter which options you try.

Despite any bad reviews for whatever the reason the pizza is done with love and passion in making me ever so happy when I bite in to it. Their pizza is inglorious. In the future when all pizza joints fight to death, Gourmet Pizza Cafe will reign victorious with all its foes slain beneath its feat. Its not just the toppings and creations, there pizza dough is the very definition of perfection. Your pizza dough matters when making legitimate pizza. Ive been ordering delvery for some time and every time I have sinfully cheated and ordered elsewhere, I regreted it.

It was a cool night and i have walked by this little gem,im getting over a stroke and and the lady was sooooo nice,and brought it out to me outside,I usually dont eat single slices under glass but I tried, it was soo good and cooked perfect,in a proper oven and not a conveyer belt system .Will be back and best thing they are on Door Dash Full star rating.

Pretty gourmet

Legitimately a contender for one of the best pizza places in the region, and Ive tried many. Dough is always light and fluffy inside with a perfect crisp outside, sauce has real depth of flavour, toppings are always generous and fresh. Consistently exceptional quality - Ive been grabbing the occasional slice (or whole pizza) here since 2012 and every time Im impressed by how fresh and home-made it tastes. Long live Gourmet Pizza.

Very disappointed in the customer service after years of coming here. I bought lunch but they wouldnt let my colleague also sit in the empty restaurant while he ate his lunch brought from home and I ate my pizza. (His leftover lunch was in one container, not smelly, and no branding from other stores; he was not asking to use the washroom or even a napkin). When I tried to clarify that he was with me (a legitimate customer) the owner called me ridiculous and turned away from me, and refused to even look at me. Whats ridiculous is the owners policy and treatment of customers. Go somewhere else for pizza, there are lots of other options nearby.

Ned and his crew offer the best pizza you will ever taste. Local family business prides itself in using quality ingredients to make sure the food is top notch. Menu has other options besides pizza as well. Drop by when youre in Uptown Waterloo. You wont be disappointed!!!

I always get the best pizza here. Fresh toppings, just the right amount of sauce and cheese - and the crust! The crust tastes like its straight from Italy. In the 10 or so years I have been frequenting this establishment, I have never had a bad pizza.

Went here today, bought 3 slices and requested a box, they shoved all into one bag and ruined 2 of the 3 slices. Customer service is terrible.

Normally we absolutely love this place, order from it every weekend as a treat. Their Quattro Fromagi is a favourite; however, it is often missing the fluffy ricotta cheese, no longer making it a Quattro Fromagi. We had to get into the habit of asking if there would be ricotta to ensure it would be delivered with the right cheese. Tonight we asked, and it still came without the ricotta. I called the restaurant and the lady working had no answer for me, and said she was too busy. Really disappointing as we normally love this place and it s annoying to be told you re paying for one thing and get another you don t even want. Wish there was more consistency and transparency if they are changing items on their menu.

My favorite pizza in the universe. I come here everytime Im in the area, and ate here every Friday when I lived here. The stone oven baked crust is perfection.

Pizza was delicious (old classic, chicken rustica, and plain cheese). A bit on the expensive side, but otherwise, would definitely order here again.

Huge pizza fan, the quality and the generosity on the toppings they put on is something i personally have never before experienced.... The staff which works there is very friendly and respectful... Besides the best pizza in town they also have incredible espressos! Keep up the good work, never change!!!!

This is, bar none, the BEST pizza in K-W. (anyone find one better - send me a message - Ill try it out!) :) They have a wonderful brick oven that they cook the pizza in. Their crust is absolutely amazing. They have several different sauces (depends which pizza you order) - get the Ferrari pizza and you get their spicy sauce! :) They also have awesome gluten free and vegetarian options! Me, I normally get the Pacino and get them to swap the sausage for pepperoni. :) Love, LOVE having garlic on my za! :) I always get it take out (then, if Im lucky, the owners working and we can catch up - and I know I drive faster than any delivery guy in town, so my za will be piping hot when I get it home).

One of the best pizza places in town. They offer so many different types of pizzas and not your run of the mill standard pizza fair. They are unfortunately a little bit more expensive than others, but that is easily made up for in variety and flavour.

This is the best pizza Ive ever had outside of the Mediterranean Basin. Note that I asked for a delivery, so I cant really comment on the decor. First thing is that, though they have a website it is static and non-functional; they dont even have the menu on it. I called and I asked for something seafoody, and two other toppings of his choice. After I gave my credit card number and my address, he said to expect it at my house in 45 minutes. It came in 30, piping hot and delicious. He had chosen shrimps, tomatoes, and real olives (including the seeds - so good!). That is how I used to make pizzas as a kid. ^^ I would definitely go back if I was staying in Waterloo much longer. Its a shame I only discovered it when I was about to leave.

The Pizza here is exactly what it says- Gourmet. I had a great lunch here today, by far the best pizza I have ever had. I love quality toppings on my pizza and enjoyed generous amounts of goat cheese, prosciutto, artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers and kalamata olives (delicious real olives, not the canned slices one you get at a regular pizza shop, gooood ones!). In addition to the amazing food, this café offers a great place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine with your meal. The décor is absolutely adorable and makes you feel as if you are eating in a café in Venice. There are bistro sets outside during the summer hours to enjoy lunch in the sun. The service was great, fast and the staff were kind. Over all I recommend Gourmet Pizza; it offers delicious food, a great atmosphere, friendly service and all at a reasonable price. Try it- you ll love it too!

This place is simply the best pizzeria in town...trust me. Ive been to many places and have tasted pizzas in Europe, US, and Vancouver, BC, and I think Gourmet Pizza has the right flavour, taste and texture. This also happens to be at the most trendy and upscale neighbourhood in this entire region, and the price is also a big factor--> very affordable. Compared to places like Pizza Nova, where the guy is rude and his pizza only so so, you get top service, excellent food, and dont end up breaking the bank. My slice of pepperoni pizza (large) added with a can of pop came to only 4 dollars, while I had to pay 5 bucks for a slice of CHEESE PIZZA at PIZZA NOVA only a week ago. Trust me people, This is the place to go, and if you dont believe me, just ask the next guy from Vancouver whos tried everything in this town ;) Cheers, BB.
